When they engineered these planes ,they did something that had never been done before. They designed adjustable exhaust nozzles that give them unequaled maneuverability, giving them the ability to do controlled spins, stalls, and" tight G" turns. Its ballet in the air. Awesome video! Thank you so much for sharing. 😊
You also are acting like a 4 year-old. This 1960 - 70s technology --- the 3-D nozzle --- is beautiful to watch in public air show stunt activities; but it has ZERO advantage in a real war. THAT is why the Pentagon chose not to deploy this technology, beyond the 2D that the F-22 has. The US military, for the most part, doesn't use 3D technology NOT because it doesn't know how to do it, even with a $1T budget. Rather, the Pentagon doesn't think this Bronze Age technologies is worth much in a near-peer war against other high end fighter jets. (The US should have chosen the non-2D YF-23, as opposed to the 2D F-22, and it would have been a superior aircraft; many of today's 6th gen bombers and fighter jets, for example, are starting to emulate some of the YF-23's 1990s features, because the YF-23 had the least number of protruding parts coming out of its fuselage and, thus, it is the most stealthy, after a "flying wing.") Anyway, today's high end missiles don't care whether a fighter jet flies at "only" Mach 1.5 (like the F-35 maxing out) or at Mach 2.5/2.9, like the Su-35, F-22, Eurofighter, Rafale, etc.)... if you don't know WTF is going on and you fly into a volley of such missiles, you are good as a dead pilot.... Forget about tomorrow's high missiles, which are on their way in the next 5 or so years... that could easily do Mach 6 and beyond (Most of today's high end missiles still only do Mach 4 - Mach 6 or so, except for the large ground ones that could do Mach 6 to Mach 10 or so)... MISSILES (air to air & ground to air, between say ~200lb & ~4,000lbs) are just way too fast, with acceleration & guidance systems that no giant flying aircraft could out fly or out maneuver...
SU30 is the nicest looking jet and nothing flies better than it. The only ones that can fly like this are the other SUs, but I think the SU30 is the airshow best. Awesome performance in this video - can watch them for hours and not get bored.
No doubt the Su 30 can do that all day but my appreciation goes out to the pilots for withstanding that up and down roll over free fall all that while !! Just Awesome !!
Thanks Pasha! Yep, I had been neglecting this channel for a while... I'll probably keep upload frequency low but try to post with some regularity all the same ;)
I would not say the godfather but russian took all this one step away. And yes, russians designed the most beautifull planes in the world. ❤ from Romania..
No disrespect intended but during WW2 the Germans and British gave birth to rocketry (Its unclear who did it first between the two). The US and USSR worked together in developing both Thrust Vectoring and forward swept wing research aircraft aimed at massve increases in aeronautic capabilities. Russia has made significant contributions since that time though for sure as has the US.
@@KaDuWin all good bro every one has their own opinion 👍 Russians were the first in space and the first to land a robotic probe on a distant planet i dont know about the british but germany yes they had von Braun 👍
Ahh, no. The French British and Germans developed aeronautics first. And tactics in air to air and air to ground. German scientists made the Russian space program. I like Russian great but your statement is BS
Airspeed stopped being a worry in Russia a long time ago . More than a flight it's aerial ballet where the fligh envelope is increasingly expading to the amazement of all in attendance. The West keeps lagging way behind!.
Air shows mean nothing. The proof comes in wartime. I like Russian aviation too but, why hasn't Russia totally controlled Ukrainian airspace if all these thrust vectoring stunts mean anything?
Excellent filming. You gotta tell me how to stabilize the camera like you do lol. But yeah this jet is pretty cool under Indian and Malaysian hands. They kept their flanker avionics decently upgraded. Gonky was talking about how they were challenging to fight in WVR as a Hornet and had to adjust his mode of thinking when fighting them.
Thank you! There are quite a few tricks going in this one... the entire camera is suspended into an internal optical gimbal which offers stabilization much superior compared to the usual lense/body stabilization that cameras offer. You need to learn to film with that though because it adds a delay in the response. But most importantly, I post-process the video in DaVinci resolve and put a lot of work in stabilizing the video there further. It's not quite as simple as pressing a button though, need to track the jets first and apply stabilization later, then merge the different splits so the frames line up. It's quite a manual process... :p
@@Airguardiansounds like quite the process lol. But seriously thanks for the information I’m planning to take some video when I go to my local air show in a few weeks and I hope to get footage that is decent

@@Airguardian they have done it when Su-27 was in developing phase (P-42) resulting in a thrust-to-weight ratio of almost 2:1. If they are able to achieve the same 2.1 ratio with Su-35 I just can't imagine what type of acrobat this plane will be able to perform.
According to the US Defense Committee, two-thirds of F-35s are not airworthy or operational. In Kiev, Kharkov and Odessa, the Patriot systems had little or no effect. They are even ineffective against Russian glide bombs. Zelensky himself admitted this and this statement was confirmed by the spokesman for the Ukrainian Defense Ministry.@@JoeLoretoJoeLoreto

Some models have 3D thrust vectoring.
Only the MiG-29 OVT has real 360° vectoring. The Sukhois use canted pivot axis to get yaw control when deflecting the nozzles asymmetrically.
