This benchmark looks at console (Xbox One X) load time performance with a hard drive vs. a solid-state drive. Part of this testing answers whether it's worth it to use an SSD as a game drive for a modern console. The benchmarks include long load time testing of Final Fantasy XV (FFXV), Assassin's Creed Origins, Destiny 2, and more.

According to the "Scorpio Engine" HOTCHIPS Symposium presentation XOX uses a SATA2 interface as it uses the identical Southbridge chip used in the Xbox One S (released a year earlier). There are diagrams of the Southbridge of the XOX on Anandtech and Tomshardware. Similarly a google image search for HOTCHIPS+Scorpio+southbridge will bring up the diagram.
Given that XOX internally offers SATA2, the USB 3.0 interface should in theory be less of a bottleneck for SSDs than the internal SATA2 interface.
Gamers Nexus thank you for doing this type of content. lots of people saying ssd does nothing for an Xbox X and it's infuriating to hear it.
LIQUID METAL IT :D any benefit ?
Speaking of cache drives could you do a review of the AMD FuzeDrive, seems similar to what optane does for intel but for AMD, just curious if its any good and worth the price, haven't seen any reviews on it yet. Thanks and always good work!
You don't have to clone your drive. I put an ssd in my one X and updated via USB and voila. Zero issues, took 30 minutes.
That's because Microsoft released an update so you can do that. When this video was made, you couldn't do that.
This is a great solution, put a 2TB MX500 in my One X, definitely snappier - partner observed Witcher 3 menus were much quicker and more responsive, really pleased.
voilla, which is French for..
"And then I found out"
SSD's are bad for gaming because they load games so fast you don't have time to read all the helpful game tips and hints during the load screen.
That's why the X is better than PC
Sir Lagsalot
You're a fucking idiot
Exactly!
I just hope you have time to wash your hands before you make nachos and have quickie with the GF.
People think this is a joke, but it is an actual problem. There are many games that have mission briefing as a loading screen, and now those load so fast you can't read it. I had to install some games on my slow USB stick to slow them down. But often even that doesn't help, because modern processors are also very fast, so they can process the loaded data much faster. Sometimes you have no choice, but to quickly take a screenshot and read it from there.
We are all here because we want the Series X performance without paying for the Series X
Honestly probably won’t be crazy far off with a ssd while playing 4K.
4K 30fps on one x while series x does 4K better settings at 60fps lol
Lmao yes
You wont get it, but One X is still more than enough for the average console player. And if you have a 500gb SSD it will rock.
@@supermac1749 The One X can definitely do better than 4K 30... Xbox is just so limited lmao
That's why I just bought a new PC with an RX 5700 XT. Now I can play at 4K ~100FPS, or 1440P 144FPS
@@akoskari42 Bruh wdym I won't get it... I can buy it easily, but it's a waste of money for a Series X, I just bought a new PC instead lol
"Hopefully next gen consoles will have SSD's"
thank you for your miracle tech jesus
they will but we will pay more yet again
Dan R series S is just three hundred bucks
After going to SSD boot drive instead of regular HDD I was so amaized that I actually bought and gifted SSDs to several of my friends so that they could learn the SPEED of SSD.
PC boot time alone is crazy. It's sometimes the difference between "I can turn this off" and "I might need it soon, better leave it on." Seeing systems that take longer than 20 seconds to boot is painful.
I would get an SSD for my PC, but I think I’ll screw something up if I do it. I can’t figure out how to just get the OS on the SSD and leave everything else on my HDD and get some games and other things on the SSD too.
Put your new ssd in, unplug your hdd, boot, install windows, after windows installed, connect the hdd again. Done. There's a method to keep your installed steam, google it. Its easy.
hey its me ur friend
Dimi S thank you soooo much, but your saying it won’t keep my steam library?
SSDs really do spoil you. Once you use a device with one it changes everything.
SSDs and high fps monitors are evil little things. They poison your eyes and your mind to be unable to live without them anymore. :D Same goes with a good quality sound system...
Meh not for me I'm fine if the experience is good with the story have a ssd in the pc and don't really mind when I'm waiting unless it randomnly slows down on some games
jdr ok me too, i kinda like the waiting time, that gives me time to check my social media or watch a live stream in that time :D
I have a 255gb ssd and the only game I gave in there is cod MW and I got like 13gb left lmao, also since it doesn’t allocate the data it uses up some of the storage as it’s running as well :P at least 8gb
I use a ssd in my laptop and a hard drive in my pc and It doesn’t really bother me going from an ssd to hdd
You're spot on with upgrading a PS4 to an SSD. I put a Crucial MX500 in my PS4 Pro a few months ago and it was super simple. Simply swap the drives, load the PS4 firmware to a flash drive and boot from the flash drive. The whole process took me about an hour and my PS4 Pro is lighting fast now!
Super happy to see you guys doing this content. Would love to see a more in depth version in the future. For example: External SSD vs External laptop 5400 vs external desktop 7200 vs external hybrid drive.
i upgraded the pc of a friend today, he used windows 7 installed on a 10 year old 1tb sata hdd, and now windows 10 installed on a 120gb sata ssd.
his pc took 5 minutes to boot to the desktop, now it takes only 15 seconds - totally worth every cent
Felix R
Try a M.2!!!!
m.2s aren't any faster than an SSD in most cases. you run into issues trying to fully utilize 2000+ read and write speeds.
The misnomers are real in this thread
M.2 is just a form factor it has nothing to do with speeed. NVMe is the interface specification, which is often associated with the M.2 form factor. However, an M.2 could very easily only support SATA 3 speed.
Lorem Ipsum
My Win 7 is in NVMe M.2, along with the other drivers and priority applications when it was built, since it is subjected to more frequent read and write, and anticipating the throughput.
I have both an Xbox one x and a gaming pc with a i7 6700k and gtx 1060 and I have no preference, all depends on my mood if you want something that you can just sit down grab your controller relax and play some games with some friends then an Xbox is for you but if you’re really serious about every single frame and want to sit at a desk all the time with a keyboard and mouse granted a mouse is much more accurate than a controller but for me the comfort and ease of access is what matters to me I’d rather just turn on my Xbox and start playing a game instead of waiting for my pc to load up and then go through the many different game stores ex. Steam, origin, Microsoft store then waiting for the game to load
That's the case for casuals.
I would love to see you do a follow-up to this video. Take the actual Xbox One X drive out of the console, and format it. Then benchmark it on a PC, using a SATAII cable, then a SATA III cable, and tell us the difference! Would love to see some other stuff like various external drives compared, etc.
this channel is too good compared to anything else here on UA-cam , love the different topics , love the details , keep it going tech Jesus !
Swapping internal drives in a PS4 is super easy. Shame to see MS doing the opposite.
The reason it's easy is because Sony was originally going to include the camera but not a HDD.
greyXstar wait what? How were you going to play games then because they have to be installed on the HDD/SSD.
@@greyXstar That doesn't make sense. Where would the OS go?
That’s why I got an external ssd. Best decision ever
Why people want to clone hdd to ssd. It is not a good idea, it never works as it should. Why you dont put ssd in and install os from usb? I did it on a few consoles. It is not as easy as ps4 but easy enough.
Man, I love this channel!
Thanks!
I see many benchmark SSD vs the normal harddrive on Xbox One X but with external, you are limiting your bandwidth through USB 3.0. Plugging it in internally would give it a significant upgrade. Not only performance but in terms of heat and noise levels as well.
Yo man, best video on the topic at hand in years. The fact before getting into the main video... You touched on how other options for a SSD Xbox One X install. You are able to install one internally(replacement) like you said, Awesome you confirmed for me that internal install does require cloning(offical sizes, scrpit install with the 5 microsoft partions) making an external application off SDD to Xbox a more then fine option until we get them in the next console.
Since before the X was released ive used a 7200 2tb HHD for quicker load times. The main thing I noticed was my early Destiny days. The Upgraded hard drive helped in raids alone from load time saves. Meaning even bringing up the "Start Screen" (Armor/consumables) would almost load instantly allowing for quick ammo popping/ weapon swithing compared to the Normal 5400 rpm HDD, there was some lag with items taking a bit to load in the slots.
P.S. I think you also only one to "admit" the X has a 5400 RPM HDD. Lol
Please please please test internal SSD as well. I've been considering opening mine and installing a SSD, but I've read so many conflicting reports on improvements.
Mmm, science! I'm glad you guys tested FFXV since I plan on getting it for PC. I hope they've optimized to a certain degree, but it's good to see that the launch times are so much better with an SSD even on consoles.
Play the Demo on Steam. 10 hours of fun already. Runs great.
Nice Video Man Been Using SSD on the original Xbox One 2013, still working BTW in Destiny year 1 love the loading time of the weapon switch menus so sick xD having that exotic primary and quickly switch to "The Truth "or "Gjallarhorn" in mid game multiplayer before the app. Good Times
Liquid Metal on a Xbox One X and PS4 Pro when
@Geekermons daddy and still runs hotter than the SX.
@@Spartan_83 It's probably because of the profile they went with. Microsoft was smart and made a big opening like they did with the og xbox one
Spawn Wave did Liquid Metal but never tested thermals with thermocouple ..past his pay grade.
On PS5 now
Appreciate the taste however is there a chance yall could show load times of teleporting in and out of dungeons in elder scrolls online on xbox? Just curious cause on my console I have a external powerd ssd drive
Very informative video thank you. What is the best cable to connect the ssd with the xbox? Thank you
Great info thanks. I have been trying to decide if I wanted to put an SSD on my XB1X or not. I think I would probably go the external route though as not to void any warranty. My launch day XB1X already died after 4 months the HDMI output stopped working though I could still stream connect to it from my PC so it was working just not the HDMI output. Makes me not want to open it up even though it is easy to do.
Would you do a start to finish video tutorial of swapping the xbox one HD for an SSD? (Including the cloning/software portions)
You mean HDD not HD.
HD = High Definition.
HDD = Hard Disk Drive.
PSYCHO I actually meant a Harley Davidson
Jordan Allison 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Off topic but will thermal grizzly reduce my temps on my overclocked amd Athlon x4 880k? Good vids 👍
Recently replaced my internal. I wasn't interested in saving anything so I tossed it in and then did an offli e update to setup the ssd.
After that login and setup...
Use a external to backup anything and copy it back over once done.
3:33 lemme correct it :
The slowness of that crappy harddrive (not even 7200rpm. Slower than that old 2006 PC which has a 7200rpm HDD)
The Xbox One 1TB Elite sku has a 1TB Solid State Hybrid Drive that only slightly improved load times on it's SATA2 interface
Steve, would it be possible to repeat the test with a PS4 pro with the same games (except PUBG of course)? I realize there are a lot of vids for PS4 pro out already. But they mostly cover older games. Your selection is much more actual.
Another question: What about drive wear down caused by the constant game recording feature? Wouldn't it be better to use an SSD only externally since the internal drive is always used for game recording (at least on PS4 afaik)
Thorsten Metzler Modern SSDs will be fine. You can do your own research but many drives can write Petabytes of data before outright failure. They will still write hundreds of thousands Terabytes of data before they start losing storage.
Hey Steve, Nice article thanks.. You may wish to consider the game Dayz as it is the same engine that is used to run a massive terrain on all platforms and you will definitely notice the performance in rendering Just a thought.
Nice one, guys. You answer one of the most asked questions in the gaming/PC world.
I took a usb external drive, unscrewed it, swapped the hdd for a ssd drive, turned my xbox on and let the system format it. Had no issue with it, very happy with my upgrade👍
It took me about 3 minutes to copy nfs heat from the internal hdd to the ssd I was amazed how quickly it installed.
Fantastic side by side. Thank you.
Changing the internal hard drive by internal SSD I have to do the disk clone via PC Software right? Does it work that way?
Now that the new gen is on. I want to upgrade my xboxox. Thanks for this video is cool!! By the way. Did you tested backwars compatibility games? Are those upgraded too?
Do these devices affect actual multiplayer game gun fights? Like do ssd out gun hhd?
All my consoles have been getting SSD's since 2013. They are mandatory in my home!
I'd be curious if using the internal interface would add an even bigger advantage... Since it would be using all 6.8Gb/s right? .... right?
Oily hot dog man LMFAOOOO
“Threw a bunch of games on it” so you mean 3 games lmao
Project Scarlet, SSD included (and its a next gen SSD)
Oh sorry, i mean Microsoft Xbox Series One.......which is a bit of a conflict as it is not the first one in the Xbox series, which is a bit confusing to me, even though this is running a custom AMD CPU/GPU combo i think that the people at Microsoft have been taking naming lessons from Intel (don't get me wrong, i love Intel CPU's but when you start calling your processors Core i9-10900 XE or some other tongue twisting name then you end up confusing more people then helping them, especially considering that the Core i9-9900KS Unlocked Special Edition is a generation behind and its faster than the i9-10900 XE) so seriously Microsoft....they should have stuck to their guns and kept the Project Scarlet name but it is pretty obvious that the corporate VIPs decided to play marketing name games with this product.....who wants to see if the name changes again before launch???
@@milohajek bruh project scarlet was just a codename it was never going to be the actual name, also its called series x not series one??
@@chronicsynergy yeah, it's just a shame that they chose a better code name than what the actual product is named
@1misanthropist Yeah i was really liking "Xbox Scarlett", not only is it a cool name, it has the Xbox brand in the name and there are all kinds of variants you could play with for future upgrades, XSX "Xbox Scarlett X" Edition or "Xbox Scarlett _______" insert a name, color, etc. as opposed to Series One??? Like WTF, how can it be a Xbox series one when the Xbox has been out for decades? It's just stupid politics and ignorant marketing people that think they know better then everyone that is actually going to BUY one as opposed to having one given to them for free.
Thank you for doing this video.
Would an update on the Xbox One X null / void the SSD upgrade?
Even as a PS4 player, I liked the little 'PC masterrace' jabs :P
Question: have you done tests with an internal SSD on PS4? Or even Xbox? I'd like to know if it's worth the investment, specially on GTA.
beautiful review
Was there ever a followup to this when the ssd replaced the hdd in the console? Any difference compared to an external ssd?
It'll improve if read and write is faster than the speeds limited by USB 3.0. It may not be a huge difference I imagine, probably pretty similar. I did it just so I don't have to have an extra drive floating around outside the console. Even if your drive was the fastest drive possible, it many games aren't optimized to take advantage of those faster drives speeds so it will improve greatly, but only to a certain point. At a certain point you're spending unnecessary money on an expensively fast drive which speeds won't be used very much.
5400rpm 2,5" drive
is this a 2009 laptop
without screen, battery, track pad, or keyboard
(each sold separately, shipping and handling not included, see associates for details. Console owners subject to subscription fee, must be 18 years old or older, but below 50 to know how to use it as a DVD player)
Jake Garrett
You don't need to be a legal adult. What are you on about?
Its a joke, I was going for the disclaimer look, like infomercial and ads.
I was hoping the "but below 50 to know how to use it as a DVD player" tipped off that it was a joke, but we can add this to my list of failed jokes, that's fine. 4 people found it funny at least
Honestly, more like the year 2000. 7200RPM drives were about the only platter drives that made any sense once they were released. It's ridiculous that Apple, for example, is STILL using 5400RPM drives in all their $2000+ base models. If you don't pay out the nose to upgrade them when buying, then you get a $2000-$4000 potato!
Thanks Steve. Best tech channel on UA-cam.
Where did you acquire the blue mat that you are working on? Who makes it? Thank you!
@Gamers Nexus
I have a question for AskGN please, I want a fractal design case but I'm torn between silence and aesthatics. Obviously the solid panel with foam is the quietest choice but I would like to know how much of a difference if I were to buy a case with tempered glass (R6) or acrylic panel (Define S) vs a foamed Solid panel? the difference like 2
Suggestion for PC follow up: where is the loading bottleneck? I've tried to optimised my system for FFXIV using its Stormblood benchmark for reference. Hopefully not as flawed as the FFXV benchmark! Anyway, it reports load times as well as fps. Big jump from HD to SSD as expected, but the change in load times from SATA SSD, to NVMe SSD, to Optane, to ramdisk wasn't as great as hoped, especially for the last 3. Do we need faster CPUs? GPUs? Or something else?
Hey I have an SSD that I want to use as an external, could anyone please suggest a cord that would be compatible? I have no idea what the cord would be called. Thanks!
Blah Blah Blah Internal 1TB 5400rpm vs External 500GB SSD video starts @3:37
Lmao this should be top comment 👍😆
But what if I want to open it steve? I need to delid the apu and and put quality TIM on the IHS!
can you get similar results using an external solid state drive ?
I grew up in the Commodore 64 era....
Don't talk to me about loading speeds, I've lived it ... 😀
60 seconds + to me is time to put the kettle on 😜
I can't forsee MS and Sony _not_ upgrading to either an SSHD or HDD + Optane standard for their next consoles. Even considering manufacturing costs, it just wouldn't make sense.
Unless you go with an AMD solution which would almost be guarenteed at this point to prohibit an optane. But an ssd boot device would be nice.
How times have changed, ssd is standard for net gen
Well you were spot on
They even went with nvme.
I’m new to the channel. I am installing a Samsung Evo SDD internal (spending a lot of money) did I make a mistake? I see everyone doing external SSD but my HDD failed and I had no choice , it’s in the shop awaiting delivery, please tell me your thoughts (bottlenecking, too much money on a good SDD? Etc.) thanks in advance
My question is ,if you install the ssd inside the xbox ,does the xbox load up faster ?
I replaced my internal HDD with a Samsung 860 SSD, and used ActiveBoot Sector-per-Sector Copy to the SSD from the HDD, and it works flawlessly. The Game and overall Console performance, is 10 to 20 times better than with the original stock drive.
Techno Basil where do you get this and is there a guide on it? Does it have to be Samsung or can it be another brand of SSD?
I bought an SSD External Rosewill harddrive to help load textures in PUBG on xbox one x. For me, the textures pop in at a noticable level. Also, I no longer get stuck I'm buildings because the textures load as soon as you jump.
What’s the best Read & Write speed SSD to install on my PS4?
Could you do the same test for playstation, but include internal ssd, as it makes more sense for it?
Is it possible to install a nvme ssd via 2.5 hdd adapter in xbox or ps4
Can you do a test on distance rendering for Modern Warfare on the Xbox One X? I just bought a 1TB Samsung external SSD.
New question how do i put an ssd into an xbox 360 or ps3? The 360 won't recognize the ssd when inserted it into the slot. Hell I have a hdd that is the same brand hard drive that was in the xbox originally only difference is its 5 v 800 vs 5 v 700 and has more storage 500GB vs 60 gb and its half as thick physically yet it wont work on the xbox. both will work if i use a converter from sata to usb but i wanna plug them in the slot (also has slightly different writing on the label as well as a sticker covering up part of it but that should not affect anything)
Supposedly the Xbox one X has a Integrated 8gb non volatile cache on-board when Microsoft was comparing it the the base model. Which was added to reduce load times over the base console
one test that would be really good to test the difference between the speeds of the two is hopping into your inventory screen in destiny 2 in the middle of a crucible match to swap weapons.... it takes upwards of 30 seconds normally to load up all of your weapons and armor, which more often than not, ends with your death before you can swap weapons around...
xbox series x supposedly has a NVME ssd. That is something that I am MAJORLY looking forward to
I wished you had talked about how it improves performance (or doesn't, I dunno) in certain games like Subnautica.
where I live a 512 SSD core more than an external 5 TB hard drive. with the exception of final fantasy 15, I don't see enought performance gain to justify the price.
can you compare this to an SSHD like 2 TB FireCuda drive (the 2.5 inch model + enclosure) ? it seems like a more reasonable choice than an SSD in a consoles.
I have a OneX with a external Toshiba 1TB SSD. The load times are very good! In RDR2 and AC Odyssey.
I just recently bought a Kingston 500 gig SSD for my HP ProBook and boy did she boot up fast so I got a PS4 slim and I've been thinking am I going to put an SSD internally and go through the grief of reformatting it or do I run an SSD externally and thinking of running one externally because even an SSD externally still going to be faster than the one terabyte hard Seagate hard drive that's inside
if i don't have a 4k tv then does there remains any difference between x box one x and x box one s
Which external ssd for my Xbox one x do u guys recommend?
Steve, have you considered texting SATA vs NVMe SSD's in gaming on PC? It'd be interesting to see what difference it makes (if any) in not just in load times, but potentially reducing texture pop in and stuttering. Just a thought.
Long story short the difference is not noticeable.
I'm aware, but there's very little data on it out there so I'd be interested to see some actual numbers.
DrearierSpider1 may want to look harder as seen a several videos and several article on this and next to no improvement on load of NVME v SSD. Even seen RAID NVME used with little improvement. The problem becomes bottlenecks elsewhere in your system.
A A I said _little_ data, not no data.
Chiriac Puiu Ya, the little data I've seen out there certainly suggests that. Plus with 50GB install sizes being the norm (and many more games approaching or reaching 100GB, like FFXV and Nioh), you're way better off investing that extra cost into capacity vs speed. The improvement of SATA SSD's over HDD's seems to come entirely from reduced latency and seek times, and game engines aren't utilizing the ridiculous speeds of NVMe anywhere close to their fullest.
I have done the internal replacement on my Xbox One X and used a 1TB SSD I had and had no problems with copy protection at all. Just ran a full sector by sector clone. Haven't had any trouble with it over the last couple of months since I did it. Was I supposed to?
What's your experience with? Worth the upgrade?
Awesome video. Using original Xbox one and games like the Witcher 3 takes ages. May get an SSD external since Ur findings are good
tuan desomer-chu would check digital foundry, might not get the same results on a regular X1
it would be nice to see a hybrid drive
Can cloning the One X hard drive to an SSD drive get you banned from Xbox Live like on the 360?
Later in the video you talk about optane etc and no hybrid dirve, well they did their own version of hybrid drive but put the big cache piece on board itself versus the extra money to get it from Seagate.
Load times still seem pretty avg, defs do internal ssd comparison
So why those monitors only shown mouse pointer if they are on Xbox one X? There are no mouse pointer xbox one X.
What's the economical way to do this for someone in the UK?
You don't have to clone the drive for an Xbox. There are programs to format a drive to work with the Xbox internally
Gamer's Nexus have you tried using CloneZilla?
If I replace my hdd to ssd void warranty??
How about one of those hybrid drives because i am not down to drop the money for a 1tb ssd
That's pretty interesting. I remember seeing tests for the PS4, and it was not as interesting to put a SSD. Well actually, I just looked things up and it seems even on PS4 FFXV benefits widely from a SSD
Does the Xbox One X actually use a SATA 3 connection internally? I'm fairly certain the original Xbox One only has a SATA 2 connection, making an internal SSD pretty much useless on them.
But can it load Tales of the Sword Coast faster than play by mail ??
The need to revisit this by comparing the difference between an external solid state vs internal. Is there a difference in this system, or is the CPU such a bottleneck that it makes no difference.
They should have some kind of ROM that allows you to build a new system drive whether it be through an Internet connection, and/or a flash over from the rom.
With Samsung releasing new SSDs, I've been wondering when the Xbox One X and PS4 Pro will come with SSDs?
Hello my hdd is broken what hdd you recommend..i don t find one dedicated for xbox
Connected external Samsung T5 Portable SSD 500GB to rear USB port on One X on 07/14/18. Game tested is Subnautica. Here are my results. mm:ss:ds (ds= 10th of seconds)
Dashboard to "Press Menu" screen when water is first visible. HDD 00:23:74 / SSD 00:15:35
"Press Menu" screen to "Play Game" screen. HDD 00:05:87 / SSD 00:02:90
Selecting game save to being in game ready to play. HDD 01:39:27 / 00:55:15
Does this improve gaming performance ?
would a SHDD work with the xbox one? if so the value would be much better spent there. i just got a hybrid drive for 60 canadian dollars. a terabyte of storage and all my games load at least twice as fast with some games like skyrim special edition now taking only 2 seconds or less to load the majority of interiors and like 5 seconds tops to load a big area. meanwhile a terabyte ssd would cost like 500ish give or take. and the difference between a hybrid drive and a pure ssd is not worth it to me anymore.
Well it appears you've noted how this video content or inclusion might have been improved on. No love dovey heart tag for you.
You literally answered your own question...
Floki im talking about on my pc. Not an xbox. Should have specified that. My bad
something1random23 They are faster than normal drives. Nearly the same price. No reason to not get them. Especially for a console where you do the same thing constantly
something1random23 they are considerably faster than hard drives. And ssd's are exponentially more expensive. And in the end getting a terabyte of faster than hard drive storage is better than getting 120 gb of storage that is faster than that but still can cost more at that amount of storage. And if you want the same amount. Of storage. Its like almost ten times more expensive. Is that even worth it? Thats the question to ask yourself. Especially since your paying for nothing more than load times for your games and if your on pc your os.
As much as I love using an SSD for my games, it's too expensive to only use SSDs, I have 1 500GB SSD where I keep my single player games that I play on a regular basis (which really helps with the load times). Everything else goes on a HHD, but that one is almost full as well.
Does it load the textures quicker ?
