@@TJBRUTALCUSTOMS Question. I just cleaned my carbs on a 2005 Shadow 750 spirit. I went the completely opposite way on my vt600 build. It's one of the few motorcycles 1970's era a Vetter Windjammer fairing can be fitted on. I fabricated brackets to mount it along with the hard bags and trunk that came off the Kawasaki touring bike that stuff was still on in a motorcycle junkyard. I got it all for $100. Everyone around where I live and ride call it the Shadow Wing. A few weeks ago a Velorex 562 sidecar showed up on craigslist so I went to have a look at it. It had been pulled out of a barn and put on craigslist. $350 disappeared from my wallet with a sidecar in the back of my truck replacing it. I had to fabricate a sub-frame to interface the sidecar to my Shadow. After some dialing in it rides and handles well for a Hack. I love it! BTW you've got to off set the sidecar axle to bike axle exactly 8 5/16 of an inch lead to make it handle correctly.
I'd love to see you do a video on how to swap out the cables when switching to new handlebars. I want to get bars for my 750 ACE that have more pull back (like six bend or buckhorn bars) but the thought of having to replace the cables scares the crap out of me more than gravel on a twisty road. I'd also love to hear your opinions on different handlebar styles and which ones you think work best on a Shadow. You can use the socket tool also to take the front axle off. Just in case you don't have a 17mm allen. All the Hondas came with tool bag under neither the plastic on the side of your bike.
For 17mm hex for the axle. You can always buy an $8 steel motorcycle axle tool from Amazon if you don’t want to buy a full hex bit socket set. They have 17mm and 22mm and 24mm and 19mm all four common axle sizes on the one tool. Both sides are machine to fit standard socket ratchet drivers OR if you have a 17mm, 19mm, 22mm or 24mm wrench you can slip that over an unused size on the motorcycle axle tool and just turn it by hand. Put one in your toolkit and you have all four sizes in a small package.

I have a 04 Honda shadow VT 750. I have ridden motorcycles off and on for about 15 years. I now have this one as my soul transportation. I know nothing about the mechanics of a motorcycle. I am somewhat mechanically inclined and can be told or shown something and can pretty much do from that point forward. I have a boyfriend (mechanic) and 2 sons, and I guess they really do not care if I live or die because you would think they would look my motorcycle over for me, or tell me what to look for or suggest I take it somewhere or SOMETHING! But I am on my own. Thats fine, because I have become quite accustomed to doing just that. Getting to the point, Is there any way you could direct as to what pre driving mechanical things I should check or be aware of that could potentially cause life altering damages if not addressed or found before driving? I have a phobia for some reason of the motor seizing up and well that would not be good if doing highway speeds, I would imagine. I also have these multiple black hoses dangling underneath the bike that have a beginning and an end I am assuming, but one end is not to destination. I have no idea what these hoses are for? Any way you could maybe direct me as to where I could obtain that information. My bike seems to be running on the warm side. The temp. light came on once or twice but only when it was sitting and idling. I found the radiator cap and couldn't see any coolant, so I thought it may be good to be some in it. It took nearly a half of a gallon bottle? Does that sound right? So I was looking for the oil filter and plug to do a much needed oil change and that is how I noticed the dangling black hoses and I also found the coolant reservoir. It was empty. Would that be indicative of possible coolant leak somewhere and could that be linked to the mystery dangling hoses? I know I have all kinds of questions. I subscribed and liked and you said I could ask. Okay I replaced the rear and front tires. All of a sudden my back tire is flat. and I thought it felt really different and even looked to see if one of them was flat a day or so before it was visually flat. They are brand new tires and I don't see any nails what would cause this. SO yeah basically any guidance on upkeep and safety stuff would be appreciated. My life could very well depend on any information I can find out for myself.
Sorry for the late response, it took me a long time to read your post!😜 If your engine ever seizes up you should pull in your clutch and coast to safety. The hoses sound like vent tubes for the carburetor(s) and should be hanging under the bike. As far as the coolant goes just check the level every time you go to ride for awhile at least. If it drops again you’ll have to do more investigation. Get yourself a good tire pressure gauge and check your tires at least once a week. It only takes a couple seconds and it is way easier to deal with a flat or low tire at home or work than on the road. Damn now I have to go read your post again to see what I forgot!🤣🤣
I have a Honda shadow spirit 750 c2 I want more power and lift the bike a little for more lean I have already installed a cobra classic slash cut I just love my bike but I want more lean and power
Dude rly? You’ll love the Shadow. I almost bought a Vstar, but these Shadows got that sexy “chop me I don’t wanna be made in Japan anymore” reputation. They are brand new tires and I don't see any nails what would cause this. SO yeah basically any guidance on upkeep and safety stuff would be appreciated. My life could very well depend on any information I can find out for myself.
Sorry for the late response, it took me a long time to read your post!😜
If your engine ever seizes up you should pull in your clutch and coast to safety.

@@TJBRUTALCUSTOMS but i dont know what i should buy . Can you Wright me what . Honda shadow vt 600 dual 1995 . I need all . Thanx
hi guys, which motorcycle do you recommend for a project? Honda shadow 1100 vs yamaha v star 1100
Dude rly? You’ll love the Shadow. I almost bought a Vstar, but these Shadows got that sexy “chop me I don’t wanna be made in Japan anymore” reputation. Harley guys don’t give me shit unless they are the “hey look I’m not in a car duurferduur” types. Cause my 600 will smoke any Harley for about 200 yards…and it ain’t a pretty pass for the Harley either.
How to wire a 600 video?
Do you sell any jet kits for a 92 1100?
@@TJBRUTALCUSTOMS No worries. It's not a popular bike, but It's my first shadow build.
TJ, I like to share some pictures of my 600 vlx, with a few new modifications., for sure I know it's something different because in my internet search i don't find any similar.
sorry for the Spanglish :)
Why would some people put their wood in between the tire and fender? That could be worse than rug burn.....
I carry that snap on screw driver with me everywhere along with my Kershaw knife. I feel naked without either one
You should make your spark plug removal toolAnd sell them on your side
