    A little grease and put those taps on an impact driver and you’ll never break another tap again, even cheap taps. Who makes that plastic rivet tool?! I need that!

    Novice Honda tech here, and boy I tell ya when I watched this a few months ago, I grabbed me a pack of q tips and put em in my box. They have not only been so helpful with carb cleans, but super helpful with other small areas I can't get a towel and pick in to without the towel tearing. My SM was like "That's a lot of q tips?" I use em. Solid advice. Thank you.

    Vessel jis screwdrivers. The best tools I've bought. I also have a few tools for specific applications that my Dad made. Dont use them that often but always reminds me of him when I do.

    Oh yeah.....I forgot to tell you my latest find. 1981 Kawasaki KZ650H. Nabbed it from a gent who had become legally blind who couldn't ride anymore. Super nice survivor that I got cheap. After a service I'll offer it up for someone to enjoy. Cheers again my Friend! Zip~

    If you like your long reach needle nose pliers you’ll love these. My shop teacher saw mine back when I was in school and bought a set that night after class

    Yep, the Olsa's are invaluable. I've had my set for a few years and when you need them, they justify the cost immediately. Awesome to see your walk through Cody! Cheers Buddy! Zip~

    You may already know this but I have that same carbide scraper and if you have a flat surface like a piece of glass or granite and some 600 grit wet dry sand paper you can lay the blade flat and rub it in a circular motion and it will sharpen the blade.

    Nice video! In regards to your Phillips screwdrivers I just learned that Japanese bikes use what's known as JIS Japanese Industrial Standard not Phillips and that being the reason so many screw heads are stripped. Is this true to your knowledge? Thanks have a good day!

    I've never heard of the Olsa's before but have certainly ground down my share of wrenches for the same reason. I am definitely getting myself a set of them! Thanks so much for the video and sharing this information, that's awesome and helpful to see! I'm actually in the process of building my tool collection currently! I will say another less common brand name of tools which are good quality and I would say are probably between your typical Craftsman/Stanley and the Snap-On/MAC tools are Carlyle tools (NAPA). They're significantly more expensive than the standard NAPA tools but the quality is really good and they also all come with a Lifetime warranty.

    Cool setup, I really wanted to see your parts cleaning setup. That is a big problem in my home garage because of the odor that it leaves off with the cleaning solutions.

      I just really don’t have a parts cleaning system yet. I typically use a lot of lint free disposable rags and basic simple green cleaners!

    Hey Cody! Awesome stuff as always. Thanks. I have the Wera ( pronounced “Vera” Allen set. I think those are the same ones…. The point being is if they are the same as mine they are likely “hex plus” …. If you look carefully they will likely have slightly concave faces instead of straight faces…. So they never slip and they always bite…. Great with Japanese bikes famous for soft Allen / hex head fasteners…. I finally broke down and spent the dollars for those after stripping out one too many Allen head screws/ bolts on my VStrom…. Any way “thanks plus” I have learned a lot from you and it is much appreciated!

    Are those JIS Vessel screwdrivers the quarter turn impact type?
    This was a great vid. Thank you.

      I have a set of three Vessel drivers. The two larger ones reverse 5% on impact though I have yet to try it.

    • @ZippoVarga
      @ZippoVarga 2 роки тому +1

      Heya Tom. No, the set he shows are the non "Impacta". But, I own the Impacta Vessel drivers and I can tell you....They're 300% worth the price! But for a very well built JIS driver in general, they're really hard to beat.

    • @blipco5
      @blipco5 2 роки тому +2

      They have blue handles.

    • @ZippoVarga
      @ZippoVarga 2 роки тому +2

      @@blipco5 The Impacta is either blue or silver and when impacted, they actually rotate 12 degrees, not 5. When you do get around to using them, you'll see why they are the best out there. Zip~

    • @TheMotorcycleMD

      Negative, non-impact type. I am not too impressed by their impact drivers.

    My nephew is looking to buy a CMX500 Rebel and I’d like to put together a quality tool kit for the road. I’m familiar with Vessel, Fujiya, Wiha, Wera, Knipex and Facom tools because I have some in my DIY home kit… can you recommend a road kit for Honda riders (as opposed to dedicated workshop tools)?

    I’ve got a 1992 Honda cb750 nighthawk, I’ve been using your videos to help me with it because I’m a automotive tech but I have no idea with bikes lol but I’ve cleaned the carbs, the fuel tank, and the air box and it runs but I can’t throttle it goes to 2500rpm sputters and dies if you could would you give me some tips on what could possibly be the cause?

    Thanks for sharing your set up. Did you get a new camera or a new lighting set up? This video looked great. I love my Vessel JIS screw drivers. The Impacta is a good one. It has a little bit of impact driver turning motion when you smack it with a hammer.

    Talking about dill bits and space? Looking at your box that's all you got is a bunch of open space you could have used a box half the size and still have room 🤣🤣🤣🤣
