Yummy yum yum ! Have you thought of doing an episode on how you learned how to cook Lao food and who taught you. Maybe backstory of how you came to love Lao food like maybe your husband took you for Lao and you love it so much you wanted to learn to make it yourself. I am Cambodian and my husband is white. He eats Cambodian food yet have no interest learning to cook it. Your husband is soo lucky . You are an excellent Lao food home chef
That’s a great idea. Thank you. I love Lao food and cooking so it just works out ❤️ I’m just glad he likes my food because his mom cooks so much better than me. One day I’ll cook as good as her.
Do you think this dish would be good to serve to peeps unfamiliar to Lao food or something to work up to? Also a request for when it warms up again: can we get a grill series featuring Pete’s Meats 😁
Haha! Yes we do need a Summer Grill Series! Pete’s meats is the perfect title. I think it all really depends on the individual and how adventurous they are with food. I think egg rolls, spring rolls, sticky rice, nam khao, nam tok and pho is a good place to start when introducing hesitate friends to Southeast Asian Food. If it looks similar to something they’ve had before I think it helps. But if your friends are like me, excited to eat tongue and brains and blood…. then feed them everything!! Lol 😆
It was so good with any traditional Laos table. For me it's basic lao food table (sticky rice/protein/veggies)!
Glad you love my cooking! 💖
My favorite meal in thr whole world. I can eat that everyday 😋. I really miss Hawaii fresh Asian veggies everywhere
Oh yeah this has got to be AMAZING with fresh fresh veggies.
You are the best. Some lao/american ladies need to learn this from you.
Thank you for your support 🙏❤️ I’m learning from them tho! Everyone is so kind to share and teach 🥰🥰
That looks so gooooood
If you like mushrooms 🍄 it’s awesome!

Sister what's the lao street food called yum kim or kin? Do you know how to make it?
I’m not exactly sure what yum kim is. But I may know it by a different name. Is it similar to seafood yum?
