Great demo, dig the dotted eighth at 2:48. And that 2290 volume swelling at 6:05.. And lofi Tears for Fears at 11:03... And reverse at 12:05. Okay this pedal can do a few things :D
I am so envious of your knowledge and ability to dial in everything that comes to your hands. Damn , Mike... how do u do it? Maybe you could make a video of your approach?? It would help us mere mortals. Hope this finds you and your lovely family well. ✌🏻
Romans Legion I appreciate it! I mostly play around with stuff until a sound comes up that will fit the song and showcases the pedal’s vibe. I guess I’ve just been doing it for a while now
I honestly think TC's delays are their strongest effects. Absolutely killer pedals loaded with features. $249 ain't bad for this at all, considering everything you get.
‘Tears for Fears” awesome riff!!!.... I miss that time SOLD!!! nice box, (but what do YOU cost?) lol (These “BOX guys” must secretly worship you, or not so... OBVIOUSLY!!) AWESOME VIDEO... (as always)
I bought this pedal based on this review but also reviews of the last model in which you could use the delay settings within the looper mode. Can it not be done with this newer model??
Great review Mike, thanks a lot. I am really wondering how long the tape delays can be now that they have improved the quality and if they can be stereo/ping-pong?
will this do a "hold" as it were. Where as you play a note and have it sustain that single note as you play over it... Without the other notes (being played) being sustained? Thanks!
So, as usual, no shout cuts. I’m keeping that Xotic good company ...or the other way around. Still working with Jeff McErlain. Such a good guy and great teacher. I’such a groupy. 🤷🏻♂️
A real drawback is the fact that you can't make a preset with two independent delays in series. For example, I like to use an extremely short delay to fatten the tone, followed by a dotted eights note delay with modulation. The pedal has by far enough processing power to do that, it's a limitation that could be fixed with a software update. But that will never happen in this company.
@@shckltnebay $249. The Timeline also doesn't have three MASH foot switches; a TC exclusive. Everyone's got their favorites, man. I've grown away from TC lately in favor of more analog effects but their delays are freaking DYNAMITE. This is a killer pedal.
I dunno why , but I feel too many pedal demos are showing off the guitarists ability rather than the pedals . The three things I wanted to know about this pedal that would make it useful to me were the things that made it a good replacement for the Boss DD7 on my pedal board , but none of the blurb or demos show this ... what I need to know is the range of the expression pedal in feedback control mode i.e. the number of repeats ..... the limits of feedback on the knob control , and the amount of click audible when pressing the pots . None of these videos and none of the reviews tell me these things and I am beginning to think this is an incestuous business where promotion work is the object and real critical review doesn't exist . I should think most of the pedals don't get bought because you can't trust the demos and few places stock the pedals so no opportunity to try them out .
Yeah ... was wondering if I was gonna buy it but seeing that the Space Echo isn't here anymore made me wonder if I really want it. I have one preset with the Space and I can't get over it. Sound fantastic.
The mash effect is not usable. I've seen many demo videos on mash....it's ridiculous. Vomical. It does not augment or add anything musical to one's delay playing. There is no formal structure or development in the piece. Not sonically pleasing, but not interesting artistically. Great delay pedal otherwise and great demo!
Enjoy the Silence!? You're gonna make me want to trade in my old Flashback X4 for this. Great cover!
Ryan Lauderdale thanks! The upgrades are a great improvement
Thanks again for Depeche Mode !! Sounds awesome 😎👍🏾
Tanguy Delooz thanks for watching

Hey Mike-Love the Depeche Mode reference at 1:29

homeslice1479 the price is great considering what you get. The delay tones are stellar
2 versions of "Enjoy" - LOVE IT!
Phil Keaggy sounds with some of those reverse delay tricks around 6:20! Nice.
Love the non-LCD style even on their flagship pedal!
Elvis it’s so easy to dial in great tones
THAT WAS FRIGGIN' AWESOME!
BakerImageGroup thanks!
I will get one just because you made Depeche Mode Songs sound amazing. I need some of that Delay, lay, lay, lay...
Great pedal Great player = Great sounds very cool Mike!
All I ever wanted, all I ever needed, is here...
Nice! Delay is so aweso.e! Yoh can do a lot with it! Great sound and playing as usual! 🙋♂️
Inhabitant Music Thanks for watching!
Nice review, nice playing
What do you do for the mounted camera?
Great sounding pedal. A Mod section would be cool, and a decent warranty would sell me on this.
‘Tears for Fears” awesome riff!!!.... I miss that time
SOLD!!! nice box, (but what do YOU cost?) lol

AWESOME VIDEO... (as always)
TFF what? That was Depeche Mode
@@shckltnebay 11:03
@@StuartRochabrunt Ok missed that, Head over heels
I like the Depeche Mode, Mike. The first version of this pedal was my first big pedal. Too big in the end. But it sounds great.
R5 de z!¡.
👊 🎭 All I ever wanted
All I ever needed.
Excellent demo!!.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼What is better Flashback x4 or Flashback 2 x4 for play live?🙏

Cool!
hello what reglage for reggae music?
It saves presets with different subdivisions??

Ohhh... I din't watch far enough... you did just that HAHA !! Thanks!
How do you turn on the looper when you have one of the tones selected?

Depeche Mode rules
Is this a delay? Is it vibrato?

Can this one save loops?
Want it
Nice but dont see me selling my TL for it!
Nor should you, but for folks with neither, this is $200 cheaper.
@@homeslice1479 But 20% larger and lacks controls on the surface, btw what is the price?

homeslice1479 if it wasn’t the size it is, I would buy one for sure. Was considering the triple delay until I got a TL for $340 shipped
Eric Filsinger Timeline is great as well!

What does “formal structure” actually has to do with anything? Did you just learned these words and had to throw them around randomly?
