    Years later- this is still the best demo of this pedal. And thank you for actually showing the mash expression on all the presets.

      I think mash is underrated.

    This is the best demo of this pedal I've been able to find on youtube. Thank you for actually leaving space and showing the character of the repeats and oscillation behavior instead of just dialing in a slapback low in the mix and showing off some generic blues noodling ;D

    Fantastic :) my Flashback 2 x4 arrived this morning and I can't wait to start making music with it!
    Keep up the great work. Thank you.

      @sur Would love to tell you it has been great, but with family stuff, work stuff, and then Christmas, I must admit that it's still sitting waiting to be hooked up.
      But one of the things I was working on over the Christmas break was sorting out my office/studio space (attic bedroom!) and so, fingers crossed, sometime this month :)

    Just discoverd and i'm watching all your boss/tc videos ! Love them all they are so well made ! First i was going to buy a boss dd-8 but your video made me change to an tc flashback ! But i don't really understand the difference between the normal version and this one (the x4?). Is it "only" the 3 new delays mod ? I don't really understand the 4 different new buttons :/. I don't know if you could enlighten me really fast ?

    • @DoNoise

      Thanks!
      4 switches give you quick access to tap tempo and 3/6 different presets.

    Great video for the various sounds, but I would have also liked to see experimentation with saving presets into bank 1 and 2. I'm red/green colorblind, and I believe the two banks are distinguished by red/greed LEDs, which prevent me from using this pedal. A poor choice of colors by TC. They could have used red/blue, for example. Also would like to see how the Tap button works, is it global or local? Does it affect saved presets?

    • @DoNoise
      @DoNoise  8 місяців тому

      Thanks. I mostly like to just focus on sounds instead of walking through features since I feel like that’s more suited to videos where a presenter is talking, explaining and showing.
      I honestly don’t remember those, sorry.

    Great video! Does the mash do anything on the 2190 Mod or the ping pong? Mine doesn't

    • @DoNoise
      @DoNoise  2 роки тому +1

      Thanks! I don’t remember the default Mash assignments but you can change them in your own Toneprints.

      @@DoNoise thank you. Can you answer me some other thing? Is it normal that when changing presets the delays don't respond immediately in the split second after changing them? If it's just turning the pedal on and off it's okay, but if I'm changing between preset A and B for exemple, it takes maybe a second for the delay to respond... In the meantime I only get dry signal

    Can you loop the wet signal? I mean can you use the delay effect when you are in the loop mode?

  • @mrbaiser4133
    @mrbaiser4133 4 роки тому +1

    A real drawback is the fact that you can't make a preset with two independent delays in series. For example, I like to use an extremely short delay to fatten the tone, followed by a dotted eights note delay with modulation. The pedal has by far enough processing power to do that, it's a limitation that could be fixed with a software update. But that will never happen in this company.

    • @DoNoise
      @DoNoise  4 роки тому +1

      You’d be able to do that with the Triple Flashack and the new Plethora X5. I guess they wanted to keep the products separate.

    I got it, it's super complicated and the manual is no help. Those MASH buttons are a nightmare, they just handle way too many functions. I never know what's going on.

    • @TheRyanshamowski

      I couldn't agree more.

    • @Illneverremember1
      @Illneverremember1 4 дні тому

      @@TheRyanshamowski It took about a month, but I finally figured it out. You can assign any delay on the dial, and it's current settings, to the active foot button by holding down the toggle switch. You can assign delays from the app the same way. But you have to use the app to assign delays to the empty dial slots. Why this is never really explained in the manual is a mystery.

    I just bought it but something feels weird : the reverse preset plays alternatively reversed and dry signals, instead of only playing reversed signals. Is this the way it was intended to be used, or is there something wrong with my pedal ?

    • @DoNoise
      @DoNoise  8 місяців тому +1

      No that’s just how it works. It keeps reversing the repeats so you’re hearing double reversed (regular) repeats in between.

    Is it true that when you change presets it doesn't keep the tempo set on tap button?

    • @DoNoise
      @DoNoise  3 роки тому +1

      Yes but that’s what is supposed to happen, in my opinion.
      Some pedals have something like a “keep the delay time constant with preset change” option. Maybe Flashback has it, too. You should check the manual.
