Starkiller was always my favourite of the expanded universe characters. There's something about him that's just so appealing, and they could easily renew the canonicity of the Force Unleashed.
They could make him an inquisitor now.
@@CinematicSeriesGaming
Absolutely. It's entirely worth doing.
And Sam Witwer would definitely love to voice him again. He could even play him in the live-action show if Disney decides to make a canon version of Starkiller's character!
@@CinematicSeriesGaming
God, that'd be a dream come true for everything involved.
He could be the grand inquisitor’s replacement. They would have to nerf him quite a bit, but he still needs to be a force of nature.
this is so well made, i really like the idea of cal becoming an inquisitor
The dark side temptation in the vault mirror shows exactly that. So it means if Cal ever gave in, he would become an Inquisitor in his thirst for power.
@@TsukibaraHif hes canon, that the only way
I'm really digging the idea of Cal Kestis becoming an Inquisitor, AKA Second Sister's replacement. Just the idea of Cal spending years trying to hide from the Empire, to finally finding enough strength to fight back as a padawan/low tier knight. Of course, such naive determination would have resulted in his own undoing , and would fall victim to the ruthless Inquisitorius doctrine. Kind of poetic if you think about it.
A bit of a shame more stories are not based on tragic ends to a hero's journey. Don't get me wrong, I do love fluffy & happy endings but sometimes a harsh, bitter reality makes for better story telling overall.
More importantly, amazing job done with the flawless ending!
I love comments like this. I agree! Cal becoming an inquisitor works very well for the story because it makes complete sense! Most Jedi aren't main heroes who save the day and manage to escape from Darth Vader. Most Jedi meet their tragic end and some of them even get indoctrinated into serving Empire as Inquisitors. This is what happened to Trilla, Reva, Grand Inquisitor and probably most other inquisitors. I think that Vader luring Cal to Fortress Inquisitorius to make him Trilla's replacement is a brilliant idea that would fit a darker, and more mature story. I'm still glad Fallen Order ended like it did because we will get a sequel but I wish Star Wars media took more risks. Let's forget for a moment about hero journeys and redemption arcs. Let's instead have it the other way around. A good hero who becomes powerful in his fight against evil but ultimately fails and becomes the instrument for this evil instead. Even if developers are too scared to make a game about a villain, they could repeat what The Force Unleashed did. Make a non-canonical dark side ending and a DLC that explores this alternate reality where the hero turned to the dark side. It would have been so cool if Fallen Order had a DLC like this where Cal becomes an inquisitor, hunts down his former crew and then faces Obi-Wan or some other powerful hero. Maybe it's just TFU nostalgia talking but I think this would be very interesting.
P.S. Here's another cool fact that makes the Inquisitor Cal so compelling. Cal has this rather unique ability to hear echoes of the past tied to different objects. This would make him a perfect inquisitor as he would be excellent at tracking other force users! This is why it makes sense for Vader to capture Cal and turn him to the dark side. Imagine if this seemingly unimportant detail of Cal using force echoes turned out to be crucial at the end of the game! This would have been such a great twist!
I feel like I'm losing my mind... this was posted just a short while ago, but I fucking swear I've read this EXACT SAME conversation before. Even CSG's reply, I SWEAR I've read before.
The galaxy's first ginger sith!!!
Deja Vu!
I've just been in this place before
(Higher on the street)
And I know it's my time to go
@@CinematicSeriesGaming This exactly!
I feel like its been said many times before, but it makes you appreciate games like Force Unleashed, KOTOR I & II (throwing in SWTOR into the mix as well), and Jedi Knight Jedi Academy where you as the player got the chance to decide if you wanted a dark or light side ending, regardless of what was actually canon.
But of course, who am I to complain? JFO was an overall amazing game (despite some forgivable flaws), with a compelling arc and soundtrack that just made it feel like a classic Star Wars story.
You know, a game where you are a jedi and become an inquisitor after order 66 would be insane.
Personally a story like this would be way more entertaining, its kinda predictable to an extent the current story maybe not the next one that might be fine but still somewhat he's gonna stay the good guy the hero, and tbh this would be a great explanation as to why we've never seen cal before, he became an inquisitor, then the second game could of been him hunting down force sensitives/ or jedi and then encountering obi wan kenobi, but cal goes after him by himself which causes vader to get annoyed as he sees it as his kill and then kills cal at the end of the second game, just a rough little idea that could work
The second game could even switch playable characters and have us face inquisitor Cal. I liked how The Force Unleashed handled this. The game has a non-canonical dark side ending and then a whole badass DLC where we explore this alternate reality where Starkiller replaced Vader and hunts down legendary characters like Luke, Obi-Wan, Han, Leia, Chewie and even Boba Fett. This is how DLC should be. Over the top and with some twist that differentiates it from the base game.
Starkiller could’ve come back as an inquisitor
Yeah, for sure. Right now Starkiller hasn't been mentioned in canon but he could be turned into a new inquisitor. He could even be voiced by Sam Witwer again. I'm sure people would love that. The idea in this video was to make Cal a new inquisitor that replaces Trilla and to mix him with Starkiller's design. As you can see, he wears an inquisitor armor and Starkiller's helmet. I think it works pretty well and I wish Fallen Order had a non-canonical dark side ending with a DLC, similar to The Force Unleashed.
He'd be nerfed as being The Force Leashed instead of The Force Unleashed
@@FATE522 they’d only have to take away his force lightning
@@neofulcrum5013 why couldn't he keep it?
@@vanlllasky it’s too powerful. He’d be able to rival Sidious. This lightning is enough to cripple Vader for a bit.
Cal is Starkiller confirmed.
The entirety of the Rebels would be SCREWED
This is shot so well
Chancellor Palpatine, cinematic videos are my speciality.
The lack of any RPG mechanics or different choices and endings in this game is what kept it from getting even close to Kotor. Seriously we need a Star Wars game where the player can have a variety of choices. Do you want to do a pure jedi or cold blooded sith? And you unlock abilities, appearences and so on to go with said force alignment. Now I know we have an MMO named Swtor that can do just that but. It's a 10 year old game that I've played through 15 times. I'm talking about a new modern AAA Star wars RPG game.
Your videos are awesome man. Your one of those UA-camrs where Every video you make is great. You put effort in and it shows
Thank you. I appreciate that :)
i like how u used younger cals scream good job!
Hmm alternative ending, very impressive!
Well.. they already announce "Survivor' for the next series title. Hope to see maybe from the light side like obi cause from dark side we already see vader
Only now I realise Vader raised his arms above his head. Normally he doesn’t do that unless he really has to.
To be honest, that first half is what I THOUGHT the ending was going to be, with the sequel taking place when an escape happened.
That breathing made me shiver back in 2019
That’s a sick helmet man!
Wish cal was in the show
I heard rumors that Cal might get his own live-action show! And Cameron Monaghan would obviously play him because Cal has his voice and likeness. It could be quite interesting if true. I just hope the show won't take anything away from the upcoming game sequel!

Lord Starkiller to Inquisitor Cal: First time?
Awesome video
Thanks!
Duuuuuuuuuuude A SECRET BAD ENDING?! I would have LOVED iT!!!! Cal as the FIRST BROTHER would have been BRILLIANT!!!
fantastic video, must have taken a while.
Thanks. Glad you liked it. It definitely wasn't anywhere near the biggest videos I made but I had a lot of fun editing it. What's unique about this video is that I didn't use conventional music like I usually do. Instead, I had a lot of fun with sound design because I tried to create the menacing atmosphere using different risers, tonalities, hits and other production elements.
@@CinematicSeriesGaming awesome, i've been editing for a little while, and stuff like this is inspiring.
Now that they've made Jedi survivor, I feel like the endeavor of that game should have cal either being turn to the dark side and killed or just straight up killed at the end.
That would have been dope
dude i cant wait for the new one im so hyped
New video or new Jedi game? 😏
@@CinematicSeriesGaming game but it can be both cause they both will be sick

@@CinematicSeriesGaming thanks man
I can forgive Vader for stabbing Cal, but why did destroyed BD-1? 🥺 Im crying and shaking rn. Vader would never do that!
Bro he killed his own wife and a bunch of children. He definitely has it in him to kill a droid.
Why are you crying over a yt video you a baby
quite cool
Oh yeah. Maybe we could've had all the mistimed quick time events be a death except one.😮
I had to mute the torture scene though.😖 Too sad.
This would have been amazing
I wish there was a dark side ending for JFO. hugely missed opportunity.
I think it would have been amazing if they did an optional non-canonical ending where Cal becomes inquisitor.
@@CinematicSeriesGaming I don't even know why canon matters. Just make a great story with tons of dynamic to it so people can replay it over and over again. It's why KOTOR is still so reknown even to this day.
@@ReveredDead I would have respected Respawn a lot if they took a risk and made a game where you play as a darsider. No redemption, no good endings. Just a tragic story where Cal becomes an Inquisitor and hunts down his old crew. Cere, Merrin and Cordova as boss fights, Ahsoka cameo, tracking down Saw Gerrera etc.
@@CinematicSeriesGaming How is that even a risk? The dark side is a part of star wars. The Sith are a part of Star wars. They shouldn't have to tip toe around it.
@@ReveredDead It is obvious to us but it's still a risk in a way. Disney is a family friendly company trying to appeal to kids, so a dark side/evil protagonists are not really considered nowadays. Even when they appear (like Iden or Reva) they always end up converting to the light. We wouldn't even get a Starkiller type character nowadays, let alone a real darksider who stays on the dark side. I agree that it's part of Star Wars and an interesting idea to explore but sadly Disney has no balls to do that.
ben would slap him
yes
What if, instead of vader dropping down, it had been starkiller? That would have been rad.
Slight error I noticed. Obi wan is using Luke’s lightsaber
Nah. It's Obi-Wan's saber from Episode III
I would of preferred this over the actual fallen order game.
Nah
Yes
Jedi survivor might end like this
Oh, I doubt it.
@@CinematicSeriesGaming Me too, but you never know, Cal’s attacks are so violent. Also, you replied again! Thanks.
@@CinematicSeriesGaming He freezes a stormtrooper, pulls it to him, and brutally stabs him in the chest. Since nobody dies from one hit in Star Wars, the stormtrooper is just lying there, in agony and pain. This is something a dark side force user would do.
@@troykadas Cal would make a perfect Inquisitor due to his rare psychometry force ability that lets him learn about the past using echoes inside objects. He would make an excellent tracker of other Jedi.
@@CinematicSeriesGaming Yeah, so it might. Most likely not, but eh, you never know. Plus, he already has an inquisitor style in new game plus, which is just a cosmetic, but still, inquisitor clothes.
I always woundered if the jedi want to join the empire, do they need to torture them?
Yes. Empire captured many Jedi and tried to coerce them to work for the Empire as Inquisitors. The ones who resisted were killed and the ones who Empire managed to break turned to the dark side and helped hunt down other Jedi. In canon, it has already been established that The Grand Inquisitor was once a Jedi. So was Reva from Obi-Wan show and Trilla from Fallen Order.
Considering that the Empire are supposed to be "baddies", I've got a feeling they still would be tortured under the guise of it being part of the strict conditioning process to conform to the Imperial doctrine. The idea sort of being like if the Jedi cannot handle pain and the true meaning of suffering, then they're no use to the Empire.
However, I think I recall reading something from Legends, where potential Inquisitors were first extensively examined by Imperial Intelligence, then evaluated and tested by the Grand Inquisitor, and finally by Vader and the Emperor. Other than that, it doesn't say much.
@@summonwyvern for sure. Fallen Order explicitly shows that Trilla was tortured before she became an inquisitor. This is the scene that I repurposed for this video to show Cal being tortured.
@@CinematicSeriesGaming I feel its even worse for Cal when you consider he's gifted with Force Psychometry. Imagine having to witness all that raw pain and agony of all those individuals against your will that were once in that torture chair. It's no wonder why the poor guy broke.
@@summonwyvern psychometry is precisely why he would be such a valuable inquisitor as well. It's supposedly a rare ability. Because Cal can sense the past events by listening to force echoes tied to objects, he would be an excellent Jedi hunter. He would be proficient at tracking down people, especially other force users, because he could just use the force to find clues of their whereabouts.
Omg
The StarKiller bit was stupid, but otherwise pretty good.
