Your explanation on hidden divergence was baffling....... as it contradicts the previous advice which was in a downtrend look for divergence in the upper section of the stochastic and vice versa , confused

Thanks for clearing up the misconceptions. This indicator is for momentum and continuation of a trend. When the market is at 80%, I have observed the price action and it shows a very robust market.

Thank you for sharing your excellent explanations about using the KD Stochastic lines. It is the best.
I like setting my stochastic to 256, 1, 1 on the one minute chart for very interesting algo pattern detection in crypto markets. As you increase the span of time and the granularity, it's better at showing you the relationship to the bigger range. I've even done 1440,1,1 on the 1 minute as a way of understanding the price in relation to the last 24 hours of minute activity. Some surprising patterns can show up!

Nice video! It makes beginner easy to understand how to use stochastic indicator. However, the fast stochastic and slow stochastic (01:25) you mentioned in the video are easy to make beginners confused with %K and %D. In definition, %K is fast stochastic, and %D is slow stochastic. You might indicate that reducing "smoothing factor" or "smoothing parameter" can filter the noise, which you increase from (8,3,1) to (8,3,5).
can 8,3,3 for D% and 8,3 for K% be plotted ,and is it available in trading view please tell me how to plot such parameters in trading view or zerodha for stochastic.

Again, another brilliant explanation of a popular indicator. You stop just short of stating a buy signal is generated when a longer period stochastic crosses above/below 80/20...which it is. Given this indicator places emphasis on closes within the bar range, I use a short term stochastic not as a signal, yet as an indicator of sentiment...above and below 50.

It seems that the stochastic oscillator is designed to define a local trend regardless of the amplitude of the price movement. It means that if you have two similiar charts but one is half the other one, you may have the same stochastic oscillator chart. That is what could explain the divergence as well.
The explanation is so good, I found that I don’t have to look at rsi and kd. I just buy in the uptrend and see if there is a bullish engulfment in the downtrend, and sell in the downtrend when there is a bearish engulfment. Doji or shooting star will do. , To see if there is any potential divergence, solve the big problem, great video, it turns out that I think high-level traders will not fail, it seems that I see him as mysterious, thank you for unraveling the fog, and also unraveling In view of the doubts in my heart, especially today's decline, I have a lesson.

Thanks for the video. I have heard a professional trader say that even though the RSI is more universally used, the Stochastic indicator is a superior indicator. And there's a Stochastic Momentum Index indicator that's even better. It looks like it's worth finding out more about the Stochastic family.

What would be a good setting for the 15 min timeframe? Strategy: I liked the 200 ema as filter + 50 Stoch crossovers + Holding the trade during momentum beyond 80 or 20. When is out of momentum you could take partial profits and the remaining profits once it crosses the 50 stoch.
5,3,3 settings but use inline with 200 EMA and draw patterns those increase your profits significantly

Excellent video. Very comprehensive. I've rarely seen other guys talk about stochastic crossing 50, which is the way I most like to use it. Since you talk about the use of different time frames in other videos. you could do an excellent video on the use of combining stochastics of different lengths into a trading system, which substitutes a "long" period stochastic traveling above or below 50 with a short period stochastic that provides entry and/or exit signals.

Not for me, was trading based on pure price action before and I lost so much...recently I've been trading with both price action and indicators and so far the results are way better. The hardest part is looking for an indicator/s that does the job, because not all of them are created equal.
If RVI crosses near the 0 axis, can we consider that the pivot point is not necessarily the origin, but also the resistance or support position? I have a close look and it is true.
