Pretty good tips although, being from Central TX with warm season hybrid bermudagrass, I thought a caveat should be stated that your tip about not scalping mainly applies to a cool season turf. Scalping bermudagrass in the early spring is a generally accepted practice to promote quicker green up and remove brown leaf tissues from dormancy.
I will add to the 4th commandment. This more a general statement. Todays elite TTTF can be mowed between 1.5 and 3, and alot of them now recommend a mow height of 2". It also depends where you are. If in the transition zone, you might want the taller cut of 3". If in the cold season section, you might want 2". My lawn perform better at 2"
Lol, I just ordered some azoxystrobin and clearys fungicide last night to rotate with the propiconazole I already have, also going to try the liquid grub control, keep up the informative videos, they help alot
It shouldn't. I recommend using prodiamine as the first app, since it has wider and longer effectiveness. If you use the lesser label amount, you should be able to overseed after 4 months. Dimension or dithiopyr is good for the second app since it won't last as long and has some post-emergent properties and lasts about 3 months until you can overseed "Reseeding, Overseeding, or Sprigging...Reseeding, overseeding or sprigging of treated areas within 3 months after a single application of this product, or within 4 months after a sequential application program totaling more than 2 pints per acre (0.73 oz per 1000 sq ft)" So if you do your apps in April/May, you should be ok.
@@TurfandStem thanks. I thought I had t wait a lot longer. Your channel is excellent. Hope you don’t take this the wrong way but highly under viewed and I don’t know why. All the videos are great. Thanks.
I always see those YTers cut their lawn super short, looking like golf course lawn. So I followed, and cut my lawn to the lowest my mower allows: 1.25 inch. Now, you make me think it's too short, especially in sume time.
If it looks good and you can maintain it, do it! Remember what you see on UA-cam or Instagram is staged. Most UA-camrs have years of experience, spend big money or are professionals. For most people that just isn't practical. Cool season grass mowed short is a large time investment to maintain it. Do what you want to do for your lawn, not what UA-camrs do!
You left out proper fertilization. I would also add soil health. If you’re abiding by proper mowing technique, keeping your blade sharp, watering properly, fertilizing your lawn and keeping your soil healthy then fungicides aren’t necessary or that important
Great tips!
Thanks!!!

Thanks! I sometimes forget to add the "cool season turf only" disclaimer.

I'd agree. If you're using elite cultivars of TTTF, you probably don't need my advice for cutting heights!

Next lawn season can't come quick enough!
Very good may be a little long.
Yeah, I try to keep them under 10 minutes. Got a little carried away with this one.
No worries I watched every minute from start to end, and have bookmarked and subscribed don’t stop making good material!
Will two apps of pre emergent impact fall overseeding?
I read the second app in latter spring would last 4-5 most and I reseed in late August

Good one. I would swap out frequent mowing for proper fertilization!
