Pictures look very similar, I feel the A6000 with kit lens is a tad warmer. Maybe the difference in sharpness can be seen on larger print, but on screen they look equally sharp. Awesome color grading as usual.
Thanks Petru! Yeah since I was shooting RAW, it was a bit difficult to match both of the edits identical so there might be slight color/warmth difference. Maybe on the print you could see the difference, but when viewing the image at 100% I couldn't tell 😀

Amazing video this has convinced me you don't always need a very expensive camera to get good shots i am thinking to buy song a6000 as my first camera should I go for second hand or first hand ?!
Thats the idea behind this channel my friend. And a6000 is good enough to be second hand. Lots of people use it for few weeks only and then put them on the shelf, so its good to find those slightly used ones.
Hi Tom, I wonder why your creative style settings in this video is different from the video of sony a6000 settings? In this video the contrast is -3. In the previous video the sharpness was -3. Is there any reason for the changes? How to decide which setting to use in specific condition? I started shooting raw and use the creative style setting after watching your videos. Thanks.
Hey Fajar, I did explain this in another video, but in short: it is much better to reduce all these things in camera and then add sharpness, contrast and saturation later in post production, because it allows the camera to capture more data. So by reducing contrast, you will allow the camera to capture shadows and highlights much better than if your contrast would be to the max. So don't worry if your pictures look very flat straight out of camera, it is extremely easy to recover all colors and contrast in Lightroom especially if you shoot in RAW! Let me know if you have any more questions and good luck my friend 🙌
@@TomsJurjaks I tried that settings. And yes the picture is very flat. But after I edit it using lightroom, it's very amazing to look how the greyish sky turn into blue sky with clouds. The color is so great. Thank you and stay safe. Your friends from Indonesia
A7IV will be a beast when it comes out, but I had A7II before and to be honest, I can't tell a difference between a full frame and APS-C camera. I think both are so good in their quality that you can achieve great results even with cheap aps-c. Although in more challenging environment of course Full Frame would be much better 🔥
@@TomsJurjaks the only reason is the megapixel. Since I recently work and learn how to photograph face modeling. So the bigger pixel is What I need. I may fix some blemishes with really tiny pixel and resolution is help me a lot. Some people recommend me the A7R model but the megapixel is lower than basic A7 series
If you are chasing the megapixels then I would also recommend the A7R series cameras@@andy0995 A7RIII has 42.4 MP but A7RIV has crazy 61MP 🙉 The new A7IV probably is going to have 30-35MP which will satisfy both the photographers as well as videographers. But for me, even the 24MP sensor is good enough. The ability to crop the images is insane. I mean each picture is 6000x4000 and what most people do is post them online at 1920x1080 resolution which allows you to crop in sooo much. But if you intend to print large scale and work with clients, then of course having bit more MP would be preferable 👌
Oh yeah the 7S is definitely not for photographers - those are low MP on purpose so videographers can capture more light with lower MP@@andy0995But yeah, whatever you choose - its gonna be epic so good luck brother!💪

i love your video like really much but it could be more helpful that you show you edit on LR on both photos...because even you use different equipment, the result kinda the same..please tutorial editing..your editing like a premium one.
Thanks Fathi! Edit is 99% identical for both shots. The A6000 seemed to be little bit warmer and darker so I just adjusted that a tiny bit but other than that for you it would seem that I am editing the same photo twice. P.S. I already have a video of how I edit. Please check on my channel and soon I will make a new one too.
On paper the a6400 with the Zeiss lens is better, but what do you think? Can you tell the difference? Is it worth spending much more money for it or can you achieve good enough results with a very cheap setup? 🤔😎
If I understand your question right - you have a point there: Photos shot vertically are usually referred to "portrait mode". Photos shot horizontally - "landscape mode". But it is rare that when you say "landscape" someone will think about the orientation. Landscape photography almost always means shots of nature, land, mountains, sea etc.
Exactly thats my point. 99% of beginners shoot in bright daylight. They simply (almost) never shoot in challenging environments (like darkness, rain etc) so any camera will be great to start off and learn and not worry about good enough quality.
Have you experienced it yourself or you are repeating the myth that goes around the internet? I’ve had 9 Sony cameras, 3 of them were a6000 and never they have overheated. And I haven’t met a person yet whose camera overheated, just those who say they overheat. Have you experienced it yourself?
Haha I hope so@@KevinLearAdventures but remember that this is in good conditions and landscape. In other conditions things might be different. But since most people shoot in good conditions, it's a fair choice to go with a6000 and start off with kit lens

Almost never. I use the screen 100% of the time.
1:40 is that the place that on movie scene, movie name: fury
Almost :) Fury was filmed in England. This is Portugal
what's the a6000 like for wildlife and insect photography?
If you get the right lenses then its great!
@@TomsJurjaks ideal thanks for replying.. also trying to get into landscape photography but havnt got the eye for it yet lol
Love this content and comparison
Dangerous clifs right there, Could not tell the difference of the pictures haha, should have included mobile shots also :o
Cliffs are mad yo, need explore more. Haha mobile would be also good since it can shoot raw, easy to edit 😎
Awesome to know you succeeded@@fajareureka4103 keep going, get better and you too stay safe my friend 🙌
Nice shot, be carefull Tom 🤗
Thanks a lot Sriyanti! I am trying haha
I'll probably switch to A7 mark IV or any someday. Since I could unlock so much potential with full frame. Great content as always 😍
@@TomsJurjaks I mean, the 7S series not the 7R. 🤣 My bad, but hey thank u so much for all the inspirations!
Oh yeah the 7S is definitely not for photographers - those are low MP on purpose so videographers can capture more light with lower MP@@andy0995But yeah, whatever you choose - its gonna be epic so good luck brother!💪
Hi @Toms Jurjaks. I am looking to buy a camera and I came across your videos. I am thinking to buy A6400, but looking at the pictures there is almost no difference to the A6000. But I see that you are saying that in not so good condutions, A6400 is better. SInce in London condition are not so great most of the time, would you still recommend A6000 or A6400 is better. The photography and videos will be primarily to showcase the beautiful side of one of London’s Boroughs. And please share your expertise on lenses as well, which do you think should we buy, not too expensive if possible 😁. Thank you so much
Hey buddy, regarding photos - you won't see too much of an improvement, only thing is weather sealed body., but for videos it is day/night difference. 4K, Picture profiles, 120fps, audio port etc, so If you intend to shoot videos - I would say - take the leap!
@@TomsJurjaks Hi. Thank you so much for your reply. Ok, so I decided to get the A6400. What lenses would you recommend for this model? I’m thinking Sigma 18-50 mm f/2.8 DC DN or Sony 50 mm f 1.8 fe, leaning towards Sigma more.
That's a really personal call @@theworldfromabove.e it really depends what do you need it for. Take a look at some of my videos, i try to answer that question. Also don't be afraid to experiment, buy and sell few lenses until you find what you like. Its not a house 😀
@@TomsJurjaks Yes, bald call, hopefully it’s worth it. Videos need to be on point as well as photos. Since is for company I can’t buy a camera, sell it and buy new one, same with lenses. I watched a lot of your videos and based on that I will get the Sigma, as you said it’s probably the best overall lenses that can last long time, so yeah. I trust your judgement. Thank you for all you comments, helped me a lot.
Cheers my friend! Im always glad to help. Also check out Tamron 17-70mm f2.8 it has VC (image stabilization) might be very helpful for videos but Sigma is bit better quality and sharper. Just to make your decision harder haha sorry @@theworldfromabove.e 😀
How to i use a microphone? (sony a6000)
Check my other video "Vlogging on a6000". Bit complex, but doable.

Awesome video. I am trying to convince my self why i must go from A6000 to A6400. Seems except 4K i don't get too much from 6400. Everything is in good frame!

@@TomsJurjaks Yes, i am video guy :) Thank you for the tips. Cheers
This is why I never upgrade my a6000 (I keep upgrading my lenses tho), but surely the a7 family would feel more significant as an upgrade
True. For casual shooting a6000 with a good lens is good enough. But if you need to do client work then A7 series is a way to go.
What camera u use to film on chest?
GoPro 8 Black
cool bro👍
Cheers mate!
what about SOny A6100? Can we go for that?
For photography any of the Sony a6xxx lineup is amazing! As you can see in this video, even the a6000 does great. Getting a6100 is good choice if you also wanna make some videos.
@@TomsJurjaks Does it give a good 4k experience or normal? and when can I expect a video on that?
Both a6100 and a6400 cameras give great 4K videos@@riyazmd7088 you can take a look at any of my latest videos, they are all shot in 4K and as you can see, even with the UA-cam's encoding (and loss of quality) the footage still looks really sharp and crispy. But I will be making some test footage video about it soon so stay tuned!
@@TomsJurjaks Sure I will be waiting for that. It would be great if you can upload it on this weekend. Thanks for your response foreign friend 😉
Suggest me a beginner DSLR.
Don't get DSLR. They are bulky and a dying breed. Better get a mirrorless camera. For example Sony a6000
i love your video like really much but it could be more helpful that you show you edit on LR on both photos...because even you use different equipment, the result kinda the same..please tutorial editing..your editing like a premium one.
Hey bro i really like sony a6400 camera , please give me
Which is better?
On paper the a6400 with the Zeiss lens is better, but what do you think? Can you tell the difference? Is it worth spending much more money for it or can you achieve good enough results with a very cheap setup? 🤔😎
aren't those portrait photos.....photographs of land doesnt make it landscape, right?now im confused🙄....by the way nice video
Any good lenses for a6000 under 200$?
Very hard to find. Under 300$ yes (especially used) - very very good lenses. I will make a video about prime lenses soon.
Sony a6000 is a piece of art
100% 🔥
Cool 😎
Cheers Monojit!
Hi!I'm Japanese!!your arm is so gooooooood!! It is Japanese Kanji.I felt happy when see your arm!
Hey there! Im happy that you like it and most importantly it is great to know that someone from Japan is watching my videos! Stay safe my friend 🙌
There is no diference. I'm just in to photography and shoot a6000 with a Sigma 30mm 1.4 and a Sony 18-105 f4....you don't need anything else!
Couldn't agree more buddy! And your lens selection is just awesome 💪
a test in a broad daylight??? you could use iphone against a6400 and you would get the same results.
Exactly thats my point. 99% of beginners shoot in bright daylight. They simply (almost) never shoot in challenging environments (like darkness, rain etc) so any camera will be great to start off and learn and not worry about good enough quality.
@@TomsJurjaks it seems i missed your point then. thank you for the beautiful footage, the place is amazing mate.

in a picture, look not much different, but video a6000 over heating
Have you experienced it yourself or you are repeating the myth that goes around the internet? I’ve had 9 Sony cameras, 3 of them were a6000 and never they have overheated. And I haven’t met a person yet whose camera overheated, just those who say they overheat. Have you experienced it yourself?

Haha I hope so@@KevinLearAdventures but remember that this is in good conditions and landscape. In other conditions things might be different. But since most people shoot in good conditions, it's a fair choice to go with a6000 and start off with kit lens
