Chris L some have classes that they love and when they play war they instinctively play with their most comfortable class which sometimes has ordinance or requisition
I doubt it happens but I’d like to see treyarch for cod 2018 abandon those bars and the vague weapon descriptions and give use the actual stats of weapons and attachment as numbers. So instead of seeing a description like”fastest firing assault rifle with moderate damage and recoil” or on a bar out of 10 its 7. Id want to see it say 800 RPM,4-5 shots to kill. Or for attachments like QuickDraw where it says aim down sights quicker I’d rather see it say reduces ADS time by 20%. Lastly if a weapon attachment has a downside I want to be clearly warned like when using a silencer. So if rapid fire lowers my range or if extended mags slow my reloads make it clear.
Well most of the cod community isn’t very bright and half of them are 10 and haven’t even done basic algebra so percentages may confuse some people. Also, I want treyarch and shg to put a mobility stat just like infinity ward does.
These are how I like to run the divisions: Airborne - Smg, shotguns Infantry - smg, rifle, LMG Armored - LMG (or really any weapon type of you are playing war) Mountain - sniper, smg, occasionally a rifle (or anything in s&d or hardcore modes) Expeditionary - c4 spam with saboteur, knife only, shotguns other than combat (i guess) Resistance - pistol only, fun in less serious modes (it would be much better if they removed the mini map fuzz perk)
@@1x9_ethan83 Lol just more annoying than anything. Like gun fights against riot shielding folks. They aren't at an advantage, but the amount of times it gets you killed from other people when trying to navigate around a shield is beyond reproach! Fuck firesticks, fuck riot shielding... stupid ass way to play.
I found that having hustle is just as useful as extended mags. So if you really need a slot on your weapon, just use hustle basic training especially on those high fire rates smgs.
James Burgess Extended mags gives you more bullets overall. When you spawn, you get always a magazin in your weapon + 3 in you pocket. So if you use extended mags you will end with more bullets in your pocket than without. If you don't run the infantry division or the scavenger perk, I think extended mags are very important. Hustle Won't give you this ability.
Nice one Ace, I’m ashamed of myself. I use the combat shotgun on a regular and kill trade several times a game using incendiary shells. I’m a long time subscriber and have watched all your gun guide videos. Shame on me... Thanks for putting right my mistake that I should never have been making in the first place. You are the cod god of knowledge. No more kill trades for me. You the man 👊🏻
Why not use a gun that is highly suited to at least 3 of the maps? The map choices are fewer than we’ve ever had before, so yes, I end up using it on a regular. If your sore about losing gun fights to a shotgun, I suggest you up your game. I’m the type of player that uses the right tool for the job. You just sound like a tool
Some players continuously give away their location when they're meleeing and using the bayonette charge for fun, and you know both of these (especially the charge) make a lot of noise. Some of these players have even accused me for using WH after coming from behind cover and pre-firing at them.
While using requisitions: Mistake: not switching to higher score streaks in longer game modes. -U have more time to afford higher streaks that may be tougher to get in shorter game modes like kill confirmed or tdm
? And idle sway and aim assist have nothing to do with quickscoping at all, since all adjustments to get the kill are made prior to scoping in, and idle sway is most apparent when scoping in all the way and staying scoped in.
Using Mountain Division in War without using a Sniper Rifle. For the Silent Movement it is pretty useless, since in War there are Grenades flying and exploding anywere and it isn't recommended listening for footsteps in this gamemode.
TheXclusiveAce, I love how precise, technical, and objective you are in your videos! In a lot of your videos, you talk about the damage ranges for these weapons, but for some of us casual players, that's hard to translate into the game. Is there a way for us to test ranges on our own? Could you do a video about it?
I play a lot of HC and always find it strange when people want to go melee only in HC. They're so easy to kill in HC (1-2 shot kill), whereas if they did the same in core modes, they'd be a 3-5 shot kill. I never complain when I get one in my HC FFA lobby.
I have few in mind: Using Mountain to hold your breath when sniping with the 4x scope. Using Armored just to get the quicker reload. Using primed to reduce flinch.
Just some comments: Using FMJ, certain maps like Carentan with all the window campers greatly favor FMJ. Using Mountain with Flanker, HC modes are turned into a Smine spamfest so this combination definitely makes sense. Combat shotgun with incindiary shells: yes the range on buckshot is better, but to achieve a kill on that range you need to be exactly on target. When you use incindiary shells you will often still get the kill anyhow even if you wasn’t right on target. Easy for modes like war where you attack the bunker and it’s practically a suicide mission anyway, you can clear the way for your teammates capturing the objective. Adv rifeling on rifles, works great on weapons like the M1 on gustav and a must in HC on STG/VolkSTG.
In case you didn't know, using High Caliber is actually pretty slick. I get head shots all the time because as a Casual Gamer when I'm shooting at the body the bullets go up to the head automatically so I constantly get headshots and they die quicker. I love it
I will admit, when fmj was added in call of duty he first thing that came to mind was “Wow, an attachment to increase damage!” I learned through time that it was just for piercing cover. I still use the damn thing because I find myself popping in and out of cover often and shooting the edge of cover
Actually incendiaries on the combat shotgun can turn what would have been a hitmarker with regular bullets into a 1 hit burn kill at closer ranges if not all the pellets hit the enemy. So incendiaries make it worse at longer ranges, but potentially better at closer ranges. If you're surprised by someone or engaging multiple ppl at once you don't have to be as accurate to get 1 hit kills at close range, even if they're delayed 1 hit kills.
1 more exception for Advanced Rifling on ARs... Hardcore, I always run AdRif on ARs and you can tell the difference as soon as you prestige the weapon and no longer have that longer 1 hit kill potential.
Another one you missed: people who RELIGIOUSLY obey a class’ suggested weapon. Yes, obviously different classes are designed to do different things and yes you will sometimes lose out on a perk if you chose a gun outside of your class’ specialty, but there are definitely circumstances where a class can benefit from using a different category of weapon than the one it was designed for and people who just blindly obey “Mountain MUST take sniper, infantry MUST take rifle, expeditionary MUST take shotgun, etc” are really limiting themselves.
Only thing here I disagree with is av on rifles in hardcore. Extending the range for one shot kills is extremely beneficial and I believe you even recommend av on the stg in your gun guide.
It's for casual players to get an idea of what certain weapons will be like. Honestly wish there was at least a category for penetration which had its bar go up to stop people from thinking that damage goes up when you put FMJ.
LISTEN TO ME: ALWAYS RUN AN SMG WITH A SNIPER USING PRIMED!!! You can use it to defend yourself in close quarters or when you miss a nearby target. My preference is the M1903 and the PPSH to use side-by-side. It fills my need to snipe AND run-and-gun.
Rifleman aka overkill... For years ppl have used it when you can literally pick up any one of the best guns off the ground, unless you're going for a very specific setup like sniper shotgun combo
Long time subscriber :) Anyway, I was wondering if FMJ allows you to deal damage to multiple enemies, sorta like snipers with collateral? Keep up the great work!
The #1 was very useful. Before, I usually used fmj on all of my weapons because I thought it would increase your damage. Now, I think it's useless and I have an extra attachment slot. 👍
I have been using incendiaries a lot and I could swear they're better with a close range hip fire spray and pray style (Exclusively swinging around hip firing in places like uss Texas interior, Saint Marie du Mont restaurant, and trenches in Point du hoc). It feels like the spread is wider, with hip fire at least. Every time I use regular shells I find myself missing in more of those split second hip fire fights where I'm swinging 180 and blasting while barely looking up from minimap
I’ve got a suggestion for a video... what class setups are best for getting long shot kills with rifles? I’m finding these to be some of the hardest camo challenges
I'd also add one to the list: using a sniper rifle on a class that's not mountain. It's hard to aim without the ability to hold breath so you'd best invest in Ballistic CPU and scoped if you're gonna use it as is.
I'd add an honorable mention to using Requisitions or Ordinance in War... Easier / cheaper scorestreaks in a game mode with no scorestreaks 😂 (happens to me sometimes when I play War but forget to change my classes)
I see one more that would be redundant to overlap and run together the resistance division running that with the Duelist basic training because then it cancels out the knife that you get with the pistol on the resistance division.... I run it I like it though especially when I'm trying to get the pistol kills with the resistance division the double pistols really helps Good stuff man I really like Channel keep up the good work
That's what I tell people about fmj they don't increases damage towards players only killstreak it's good with lmg and fmj to take out uav but they don't always listen or believe me
I disagree with the incendiary shells on the shotgun. Since the shotguns are so inconsistent this game I feel like the incendiary shells are actually super useful. I can't tell you how many times I've gotten the first hit with my shotgun only to have not enough pellets hit even at super close range...and then get blasted and the burn damage kill me from opposing shotgun.
Rookie Fictioner Yea but everyone loved the pick 10 system. Who in the fucking world asked for them to change it? Pick 10 offered diversity among people and you could create a class to fit your unique playstyle. Now, it's all fucked. You need your 1 and only perk to use a rocket launcher or akimbo pistols. The divisions are horribly balanced. Mountain and infantry are op.
Rookie Fictioner I actually loved infinite warfare, the bandwagon was just so gay. But you’re right, the cod community is cancer and doesn’t know what they want. The devs get confused and we get this fucked division system.
Incendiary shells work great if someone gets the jump on you, but you are able to get off at least 1 shot. There is a good chance that you will get the kill even if they kill you.
With incindiary shells on the combat shotty you still get easier kills if you're not aiming that great in a lot of instances where you would hit your enemy with only 1-2 pellets and die you would still at least get the kill with incindiarys so it's probably still better for people that have sloppy aiming some times.
Ace, do the incendiary shells reduce the number of pellets required to hit for a 1-shot burn kill? If that is the case, the reduction in overall 1-shot range may be worth it for that increased consistency.
The Character Customization system in this game seems to be poorly thought of. 🤔 Why divide everyone’s traits by divisions if you can pick one division and then pick the skill it doesn’t provide and so get an all round capable build? Like the armored division for protection and skills that give you agility. Or vise versa. It used to be way harder to get an ultimate super soldier character in previous titles.
Ryan Guze How? This video is simply for anyone playing call of duty what about it seems like it is targeted at younger people. Honestly it’s so annoying to see people like you generalize young people and try to place yourself above them. Last time I checked video games are for young people unless they are what you do for a living. Get a job and quit complaining
Ryan Guzek I can see that for some, like the fmj and basic training ones, but the incendiary shell and advanced rifling ones I’m pretty sure a lot of people don’t know
I think with the combat shotgun using incendiary shells allows for multi kills with one shot a lot easier if the enemies are bunched up. That's the only advantage I see.
TheNumberOfTheBeast 666 If you use fmj to efficiently wallbang, it’s fine. But if you just think it increases damage because the stat says so, it indicates a noob.
How do you know that don't have fmj on because they also like to shoot through walls occasionally? It's not like they made the load out specifically for you at that moment for that gun fight.
Using Infantry with an SMG is kind of weird. Like, SMGS already have a pretty fast ADS movement speed, why bother increasing it? You also don't get a bayonet unless you pick up a rifle, and the only real benefit is the extra magazines.
Regarding No. 5: If one is trying to finish the headshot challenges then I think anything that even marginally increases the chance of getting a headshot kill is justifiable.
I don't think enough people use the Infantry divisions bayonet. Since COD melee is no longer a one hit kill (which changed a few years ago in Advanced Warfare I believe) players lost the panic knife habit, but if you run a lot of infantry, it can be very effective. But most close range gunfights I'm in, even if we both have rifles, it's just a spray fest till someone gets a kill.
Ace has sprint out times changed since resistance dlc drop I seem to be doing a hell of a lot better rushing since it's dropped?? Something has defo changed!! Either that or sbmm has been lowered a bit !!
Gewehr 43 rarely one shots on hard core but with advanced rifling it will one shot at any distance. That's about the only other time to use it on a rifle is if you're in hard core with that one specific gun. The m1 carbine always one shots at any distance but for some reason the gewehr 43 does not.
I would say scoped on a sniper class since it doesn’t reduce idle sway on snipers. Unless they want it for the strafe movement which a minor perk then.
Ace, when I was doing my headshots to get camos on the Garand, I played War and with High caliber on, it makes the guys in the turret a two shot headshot other than three so I just thought I should point that out
I don't think that's useful considering that they're typically one shot kills and pretty easy to use. Maybe for less experienced players who need the forgiveness of a slightly faster follow up shot but otherwise the sniper rifles like some of the other attachments more.
R - Vox They're both good rifles, regardless of the fact it is outclassed in almost every way by the Garand. Now if he was using the Gewehr-43, then that's a mistake.
Undercover is actually very useful for getting melee kills, specially now that it counters 6th sense. Serrated also has a habit of tempting people to throw knives instead of going for the actual melee kill. So if you are going for gold camo serrated isn't the be all end all.
Imma1star- Well no..you can't do that either. It won't allow you to permanently unlock Serrated unless you have throwing knives unlocked because they go hand in hand.
Completely off subject, but need advice. Doing diamond shotguns in hardcore. Am i best not running steady aim as it means i have a wider spread and therefore more chance of hitting with one pellet?

Was going to post this, see it all the time.
Not the same but I sill see folks call in counter UAV when there is no UAV.
It stops the enemy calling in a recon plane if you use your counter recon for a certain amount of time.
After you get the 150 points from denying an enemy recon, it wont continue to stop enemy from calling in more
I've been guilty of this... usually because I hate having it just sit there.

They should make a shots to kill like 3-6 for example
And proper stats and how many bullets per minute instead of rate of fire and stuff like that

With incindiary shells on the combat shotty you still get easier kills if you're not aiming that great in a lot of instances where you would hit your enemy with only 1-2 pellets and die you would still at least get the kill with incindiarys so it's probably still better for people that have sloppy aiming some times.
@Ace what are you're opinions on the bo4 tweets that have been going around?
Love the content. Where does one watch your streams?
Ace, do the incendiary shells reduce the number of pellets required to hit for a 1-shot burn kill? If that is the case, the reduction in overall 1-shot range may be worth it for that increased consistency.
The Character Customization system in this game seems to be poorly thought of. 🤔
Why divide everyone’s traits by divisions if you can pick one division and then pick the skill it doesn’t provide and so get an all round capable build?
Like the armored division for protection and skills that give you agility. Or vise versa.
It used to be way harder to get an ultimate super soldier character in previous titles.
I feel like this video is for people who are too young to be playing in the first place
Or too old.... like me....
Ryan Guzek I can see that for some, like the fmj and basic training ones, but the incendiary shell and advanced rifling ones I’m pretty sure a lot of people don’t know
Emmett Kahnert so you're basically saying that it's normal for younger generations to play a M rated game.
Emmett Kahnert by young people, he means people who are 12 and under that shouldn’t be playing in the first place.
I think with the combat shotgun using incendiary shells allows for multi kills with one shot a lot easier if the enemies are bunched up. That's the only advantage I see.
I use mountain with flanker a lot. Mainly because I mostly play hc ffa and there are trip mines everywhere.
I just hate it when i see people use fmj and thinks its actually killing people faster.
Pharoah Ferguson I think it’s funny because it indicates that they are noobs
Its all fun until you meet me and i wallbang you with my lewis fmj on every wall lol, fmj is great and not a noob attachment ^^
Good vid ace
Oh, my.
The number of people thinking FMJ gives you more damage. Some people refuse to listen. 🤦♂️
Using Infantry with an SMG is kind of weird. Like, SMGS already have a pretty fast ADS movement speed, why bother increasing it? You also don't get a bayonet unless you pick up a rifle, and the only real benefit is the extra magazines.
Thanks for the super obvious tips :P
Regarding No. 5:
If one is trying to finish the headshot challenges then I think anything that even marginally increases the chance of getting a headshot kill is justifiable.
I never run high cal on the m1 or svt, but it does make one big perk... Lots of flinch upon head shots.
Potatoballs - or you’ve just gotten lucky or improved? I’m almost certain they did nothing
Akeh I doubt I'm getting lucky every game !! I'm 10 years playing cod now I don't think there's to many more ares I can improve in !!! Lol
I still see players using FMJ on submachine guns 😂
RIGHT why is it even a option, they should have something else .
Yea, high cal should be on smgs
FMJ also maintains your damage through enemies. So if you are shooting more than one person you are still doing all your damage.
I wish I could like this vid 1,000x for the FMJ tip.
Using quick draw breaking their sprint with aiming down.
Using grip on the waffe.
Using rapid fire as a whole
Using the Bren
Ace, when I was doing my headshots to get camos on the Garand, I played War and with High caliber on, it makes the guys in the turret a two shot headshot other than three so I just thought I should point that out
What I should add to this list is not using rapid fire on snipers.
Jelle Brandt Isn't that a preference thing?
I don't think that's useful considering that they're typically one shot kills and pretty easy to use. Maybe for less experienced players who need the forgiveness of a slightly faster follow up shot but otherwise the sniper rifles like some of the other attachments more.
Andrei Valdez I mean like it isn’t useful xD. But tnx for clearing out my comment
Haha. I was doing two of these on the same class. Using SVT with high caliber, infantry and scoped. Dumba$$.
mlandau2776 just means you gained an attachment and a new basic training.. I can see the improvements already:)
Actually 3, because using the SVT is also a mistake
R - Vox SVT is a good rifle.
4NewHop3 You think so? I think it's completely outclassed by the M1 Garand. I litterally see no reason to use the SVT over the M1 Garand. Do you?
R - Vox They're both good rifles, regardless of the fact it is outclassed in almost every way by the Garand. Now if he was using the Gewehr-43, then that's a mistake.
watching people burn is the point for using incendiary shells...lol
Flanker is the only thing that effectively counters landmines I would hardly call using it with mountain a mistake.....
If you wouldn’t use FMJ what would you use?
I like advanced rifling on my M1 though. Pretty much guarantees a 2 shot kill from anywhere. I hat when it takes 3 shots to kill...
Do you think the volksstrumgewher will get a recoil nerf? That thing is a laser pointer currently.
Melee without serrated.
