BIG CORRECTION: It turns out, I somehow made the same error on the same stock on 2 different guns but it turns out, there is NO increase to Tac Sprint Speed with the No Stock/Light Stock. Sorry about that, normally testing redundancy catches things like this but somehow it slipped by this time.
Based on your findings, I took their terms to mean Hipfire Movement Speed = base walk speed and Movement Speed = tac sprint speed. But if tac sprint speed isn't affected and Movement Speed just = base walk speed, then wth does their term Hipfire Movement Speed mean? You're already considered hipfiring during base walk speed lol. Unless they mean your movement speed while simultaneously firing the gun in hipfire?
The stats they provide aren't accurate to what they do in the game? That's understandable, Activision Blizzard is a small indie company and its not like they have other games from their past that they can learn from.
Cause most are not hardcore cod players that they would want to know all these information. I was a hardcore player but I don’t even buy cod anymore cause it’s trash. But this guy helped me a lot before. Hope he reach 1Mil atleast.

Haha prop hunt, i haven't seen anything on prop hunt since I kind of stopped binging the OG YTers who play prop hunt modes on Garry's mod. Its so nice seeing it come back though!
No stock + Ranger foregrip has been my go to on SMGs recently with how quickly you get around the map. Watching this will definitely push me to try out the Infiltrator over the Balanced on ARs moving forward... if it's a more aggressive or a low recoil AR then pairing with Ranger foregrip with the Infiltrator could be decent too.
@e7193 exactly that makes no sense to me and depends how you play maybe you wanna make the xm4 a pseudo smg or maybe since is already has good handling you just wanna build it to hold lanes since it naturally has good handling.
@stoplosinglilboy1461 I think the way I see it is it completely comes down to what you value more. For me I value either ADS movement speed or sprint speed. Simply improving walking movement speed doesn't make much sense to me as the only times I'm typically not sprinting around the map are when I'm pre-aiming angles at which point the ADS movement speed (aka ADS strafe speed) is much more valuable on something like an AR, whilst it's a toss up between that and the increase to sprint speed on SMGs from no stock. To me I want to maximise these attributes on any weapon I'm using within a class.
What I love in BO6 is a simple names of the attachments and how few of them there are. In MW2/3 I had sometimes problem in choosing attachments for my guns (Favorites wasn't helping) because I wanted a "good" weapon to play in MP/MWZ. Here in BO6 I have no problem with choosing the best attachments.
Well these descriptions are confusing huh. Thanks for the guide, would never have figured this out without it! I think I still like the balanced stock, just for the overall improvement instead of in a particular area.
I'm not sure if you're aware but on pc kbm, 'walk' is an undefined button that you can assign to make your character move slower than if you just pressed W. So I think there is an actual 'walk' speed, a 'run' speed and then the 'sprint' speeds
I really like seeing the percent changes instead of the raw numbers. It just makes it easier to digest and see if they’re making a noticeable impact on performance.
Like you read my mind. Ive figured out everything besides the differences between stocks. I was gunna test it myself but you even had the percentage values. Great work as always dude. Early congratz on hitting 1 mil!!
Really helpful video. Things like this make me question whether or not my builds are actually as good as I think they are. This reminds me of Drift0r’s black ops 3 in depth series that was a lifesaver for me, I really think knowing details like this allows you to make better loadouts and play better!
It’s so stupid since this should not require manual entry and all be inferred by the numbers it applies. Shows that it’s all sticks and stones behind the curtains.
I hope you mention pistols and how they can have slower strafing speeds than assault rifles or SMGs because they can't have stocks. I guess they just forgot that pistols are supposed to have a mobility advantage since they have worse stats in everything else.
The ONLY place I will come for legit breakdowns like this. Easily the best out there! We are all grinding camps and this man is grinding out breakdowns like this one. The peoples CHAMP!
Infiltrator will be the best stock for most likely the entite game. pros already know its the best. when your strafing back and forth your rotational aim assist activates when your moving. it basically gives you more aim assist range or a more sticky feeling for rotational aim assist when your strafing
I was thinking Movement Speed was referring to the base movement speed or maybe sprinting since it doesn't say tactical sprint Thanks for all the guides I'm learning so much from these, I think I'll go with the Infiltrator Stock from now on for the strafing, or the one for Flinch Resistance if I'm using a Semi Auto or something, not sure if it actually helps stay on target but I feel like it does
I have always prioritized ADS strafing speed over everything else. After I ADS I move side to side and shoot. The second would be tac=sprint speed, now I will run no stock/ranger grip on my running class. One reason I loved the Superi 46 on MW3, the best strafing speed I have ever seen on a CoD gun.
Can’t wait till this guy hits 1 million. Been watching him for a minute. Extremely detailed and is constantly thinking of exploring every stat, detail, and feat of the games.
Thanks for the video man. I always have used the no stock and the infiltrator because I could feel a huge difference in strafing with the infiltrator. I was definitely confused on the difference between strafe speed and aim walking speed because I thought they were actually the same thing. I feel stupid now for thinking that but thanks for clearing this up man. I’ve been watching your videos since bo4, your my go to guy for anything to do with stats on guns in cod. Thanks again bro.
Now I gotta switch back to the Infiltrator Stock on some of my classes because someone told me that "Aim Walking Movement Speed" only applied to back and forth movement while "Strafing Movement Speed" applied to horizontal movement while aiming 😂 I figured that wasn't actually the case because the former always referred to any movement while aiming.
Hey Ace, sometime ago I remember you made a video about the best classes in ranked. I understand not a lot of people play ranked throughout the year but it would be amazing to see some breakdowns or class setups for the mode. Anyways keep up the good work as always!
This is why the detailed stats page is so useful. That being said there's a disappointing lack of ways to increase ads walking outside infiltrater stock which still feels slow. All the guns feel sorta homogenized in handling. Here's hoping the Saug can strafe faster even though I know they wont
It's a thin line between what we have now, and pre nerf Bracefire grip LSW from MW3 lmao. 8.1 Tac stance move speed was faster than most tac SPRINT speeds
@emwols which cods have you played? since this is false OG Mw3 and Ghost had stalker which was 1 to 1 with your movement speed. WW2 had the specialist which greatly increased strafe. AW let's you air dash obviously. Black Ops 1&2&3 for Had Stock which was the same as stalker. Black Ops 4 had stock 2 which you can STACK on top of skulker which was the fastest in the series outside pre nerf Taq Evolvre Bracefire This is only really faster than mw2019 and Mw2 and prob Cold War by a smidget which is a very low bar to set. You might be confusing this with traversal speed specifically tack sprint which is faster but that's for traversal.
@ I have played MW3 OG and onward. I had to check myself to make sure I was talking out of my butt. I thought that this was almost the fastest we’ve seen, I think the reason I say that is because this is the second fastest (aside from building completely not viable strafe builds that you will never actually see in a real match) we’ve seen with SBMM implemented and obviously good players are more likely to strafe aggressively in gunfights than older games. That being said, Ace made a video 2 years ago on the evolution of strafe speeds and potentials in COD. The fastest was BO2 with the strafing stock. MWIII surpasses that with strafe builds but that is the fastest we’ve actually seen. OG MW3 with stalker seems to be pretty much identical to the strafe speeds we are experiencing in BO6. So in summary we are both wrong, the strafe potential in this game is slightly faster than average for COD and equal to OG MW3.
@emwols this is no way the 2nd fastest cod. You can easily go to BO4 right now and use stock 2 and compare SMG speeds. Adding Skulker is just overkill. It's a night and day difference and faster than MW3. Previous Black Ops also had builds where you can go faster as well which is completely viable and have been using. I have been playing COD before Cod 4 and the Treyarch titles usually had many builds (specifically with SMG). As you stated you'll see more people strafe here tho due to SBMM. However you need to keep in mind that when you're comparing to old cods they also had a MUCH lower default FOV which makes the perceived movement seem slower than it is.
Great Video Ace! Definitely will help build better MP builds but also Zombie builds since I would assume the stats would stay the same for both game modes.
I’m pretty disappointed about that tbh, it’s a bit too fast and was hoping they were going to tone it back a little bit. It’s so fast to the point that your mind can’t track aiming at someone aggressively strafing back and forth
My best guess is this game doesn't really give you many stealth options that work, so having a laser on your gun that you can't turn off and on and everyone else can see across the map typically isn't going to be much help most of the time.
I’ve ran Balanced and Infiltrator on most guns, balanced tends to look cooler on most, and the aim walking steadiness seems better with it too, but maybe that’s just me.
These Stocks do exactly what I thought they did. I learnt nothing new in this video (usually never the case with Ace's videos haha). Please make a video with Flinch resistance. Also, when will you be diving into Perks? I really want to see the values of Guardian perk and Dexterity perk
The GS45 kills the fastest in point blank scenarios but outside of that it is terrible. The 9mm and grekhova are probably tied for best pistol with similar TTKs. The 9mm has better range but grekhova is easier to use. The Stryder is good at nothing, don’t use it
@@Slasher_2ndAcc agreed even if you have a good trigger finger you just cant compete with the other guns. I wish they bring back trigger attachments or like a double tap perk because you cant make the Stryder's ttk better
@TheXclusiveAce - could you do a video on Rapid Fire and TTK? I'm curious which weapons make the most sense to use Rapid Fire and just how much it increases TTK. Also wanted to say I believe your videos are THE best and most informative videos on COD and its not even close.
I never worry about flinch when using snipers, I'd rather worry about ADS speed and delay between shots. If you hardscope you are guaranteed to win most gunfights with sniper due to the fact that it's 1 hit kill. Only downside is if you two people jump you, you can't shoot both of them and will be more likely to be killed by the one you don't shoot.
@potapotapotapotapotapota yeah but ADS speed and fire rate are both stats available already in game that you can view and optimise. The degree of flinch is not and requires practical testing
Great video but looking at these numbers I feel like the balanced is still maybe the most attractive option? I'd argue aim walking speed is not a very important stat and you should really focus on specifically aim strafe speed. With the C9 the Infiltrator is giving you +0.6m/s ADS strafe while the Balanced is giving +0.35m/s. So you're getting over half the same gain while also boosting hipfire speeds (which is def generally valuable on an SMG). I'll admit it is very close though, def enough to make it preference or gun dependant. On ARs I'd probably lean Infiltrator as you want to be hipfiring less often.
Ranger foregrip is glitched on the marshal shotgun, everytime I equip it, it puts on the precision foregrip instead, I’ve tried everything to get around it
I always have a moral dilemma whenever I watch one of Ace's videos. They're super helpful and I really appreciate it. So to show my appreciation and support I want to hit the like button for him. This is where the dilemma comes in. The more likes the video gets the more people it reaches. Which means it helps people get better at this game which makes my competition harder. So I almost don't want to hit the like button lol Jus jokes obv. Always gotta hit that like button for our boy
I remember how good Stalker perk was in MW3 , nowadays I simply can't use that play style with anything but SMG. Aim walking speed penalize you compare to junkies on slide with pinpoint accurate hip fire.
A few things. 1. I wanted to wait for the first weapon balancing patch this time around and I'm glad I did. 2. I've been in the process of moving during the launch window which has slowed done my usual overtime hours around this time of the year 3. I've been having electrical issues at the new house which has significantly hampered my efficiency but I've managed to find a temporary solution for now so I'll be able to get back on track soon
Ace, which stat in the detailed gunsmith menu correlates with 'Movement Speed While Firing in ADS mode'? That's basically what strafing is, but in the gunsmith, it only says 'Movement Speed' or 'Aim Walking Movement Speed'. So, do we stack attachments that give 'Aim Walking Movement Speed' or 'Strafing Movement Speed'?
I feel like its a problem that you dont fully go into all attachments in these videos. Like in my opinion you should also show what the flinch resistance does here, or look at the headshot multiplier for the barrel attachment
0:58 I think i'm a massive nerd i guess because I thought it was common sense that "movement speed" meant your general walk/crouch walk speed - if you were only moving the left stick or WASD. Plenty of other games have done this type of buff before. (I haven't watched the video but I am assuming this is what movement speed is, If i'm wrong I will edit)
Drop a marker on flat ground, tac sprint directly at it, record the clip, time exactly how long it takes to travel over a distance once you’re fully tac sprinting. The longer the distance, the more accurate your results will be
I just double checked and you're right. I'm not sure how I happened to make the same mistake with the same stock on 2 different guns but somehow I did. Thanks for catching that!
Nice job dude. When do you plan on covering the rapid fire attachment? I guess it wont happen until much later cause its usually a late unlock i think.
I really hope they buff attachments better for warzone or only thing that will make them meta imo is ttk compared to the mobility of wz3 guns and especially if 8 attachments is possible
Hi Ace, I was wondering if you could make a video about sprintout time vs ads time. Particularly, I am wondering if it makes sense to use a sprintout time reducing attachment if your ads time is way higher. Btw, keep up the great work, love it!
Omg you’re human!! Haha ❤
You should probably pin this. I was feeling all good about myself after I had told a friend I could swear I was faster with no stock vs balanced
It’s pinned and mentioned in the title

I'll admit it is very close though, def enough to make it preference or gun dependant. On ARs I'd probably lean Infiltrator as you want to be hipfiring less often.
Ranger foregrip is glitched on the marshal shotgun, everytime I equip it, it puts on the precision foregrip instead, I’ve tried everything to get around it
They mess up loadouts all the time. Make a new template from scratch
@ already tried that, tried every custom class, then created a new slot, hell I even tried in zombies lol, try it if you have it unlocked
So I almost don't want to hit the like button lol
Jus jokes obv. Always gotta hit that like button for our boy
I feel you. That's why good chefs never give out their recipes.
Hey ace, is strafe speed slowed when firing your weapon? If so, how much?
I remember how good Stalker perk was in MW3 , nowadays I simply can't use that play style with anything but SMG.
Aim walking speed penalize you compare to junkies on slide with pinpoint accurate hip fire.
If you’re talking about classic MW3 it was crazy with specialist. Literally ADS with an AR at what felt like sprint speed through the map lol
Oh man, and here I thought the gun guides would be out by now. We only have 1 and it’s been almost three weeks. 😩
A few things.
1. I wanted to wait for the first weapon balancing patch this time around and I'm glad I did.
2. I've been in the process of moving during the launch window which has slowed done my usual overtime hours around this time of the year
3. I've been having electrical issues at the new house which has significantly hampered my efficiency but I've managed to find a temporary solution for now so I'll be able to get back on track soon
not sure why there needs to be 2 different ads walking speed stats. such uncessary complications
ones for forward and backwards, the other is left and right, and it isnt just ads. walking = forward and backward, strafing = left and right.
Interesting stuff and good info, many thanks 👍
FYI, movement speed is referring to your base walk speed
The stock that make slide to fire speed faster for shotguns is a must. Shotguns are slow af
Stocks can significantly grow your portfolio.
If they are ambiguous about stats for attachments imagine what else there not telling us …
Movement speed is pretty clear, you move faster, what's the confusion? Other ones give you strafe, aiming downside etc.
Another informative banger 👌
So the balanced stock isn’t as balancing, got it!
You should be at 1M by now.
Thanks, trust your data more than all these COD streamers doing meta loadouts.
I don't use any stocks on most classes. Maybe subs and LMGs but yeah if ya only got 5 attachments, stocks are not high priority
thanks boss. youre fixing my classes
Damn upload min ago!! You give is content quick
Those stats are so misleading. Thanks Ace for the clarification
Great video! Could you please make similar notes when discussing the cross bar attachments on LMG's in future videos?
Thanks again Ace!!!
Where’s the S&P 500??? I heard that was pretty good.
No need to strafe. Booty slide for the win! So movement speed all the way.
I like the light stock. Seems extra fiesty.
U forgot to mention the flinch reduction in the AR stocks, was expecting that to be covered
He is going to release an entire video on flinch
Pretty sure a lot of those mobility stocks hurt your aiming idle stability whether it states it or not
Thanks for making it clear to me👍
I can't replicate your results at all for the no stock tac sprinting speeds, I don't understand how you are getting this result.
Drop a marker on flat ground, tac sprint directly at it, record the clip, time exactly how long it takes to travel over a distance once you’re fully tac sprinting. The longer the distance, the more accurate your results will be
@@TheXclusiveAce I did, multiple tests, with the C9, XM4, with no stock, and no stock + ranger foregrip, I get nowhere near the results you're getting
I did it with a 50m distance btw, on nuketown verified by frametime analysis, I did it SOO precise to make sure I had no errors.
I just double checked and you're right. I'm not sure how I happened to make the same mistake with the same stock on 2 different guns but somehow I did. Thanks for catching that!
@InsuredFrames thanks for holding us all accountable
Nice job dude. When do you plan on covering the rapid fire attachment? I guess it wont happen until much later cause its usually a late unlock i think.
I really hope they buff attachments better for warzone or only thing that will make them meta imo is ttk compared to the mobility of wz3 guns and especially if 8 attachments is possible
Why are every one of these games with gunsmiths so bad at telling you what attachments actually do
I can run NO STOCK w/ MP5 and AK74u and BEAM people across the map. Stocks do not affect range & recoil combination this year!!
Hi Ace, I was wondering if you could make a video about sprintout time vs ads time. Particularly, I am wondering if it makes sense to use a sprintout time reducing attachment if your ads time is way higher. Btw, keep up the great work, love it!
Well Ace, I know you are detailed and professional, but I have to disagree. The best stock is still Nvidia....... 😬
