Amazing tank, very nice balance of shape and colour
Cheers buddy, definitely a compliment coming from yourself
Colours look unreal pal 👌🙌
Cheers mate! I'm looking forward to the live stream tonight 🙂
@@NanoTankReefer would be good to get you on it at some point… let me know if and when you are free…
Brilliant video mate, I really enjoyed this one, the tank looks amazing, the new rockwork you added has blended in nicely! was great to see the icp results too! keep up the awesome videos!
Cheers Ross, yeah I'm really happy with the additional rockwork now it's not covered in algae 😂
Great looking tank.
Cheers buddy
Great vid again Tris. The tank looks stunning.
Cheers mate, yeah it doesn't look half bad this week
Great looking tank looks amazing, top channel just found you. Tank is spotless and your sump was unbelievably clean too.
Mate have to say though the zooming in and out was crazy, if you haven't watched it back take a look lol, only thing letting you down your voice overs are excellent.
Just watched it back and I completely agree buddy 🙈
You'll see a noticeable improvement after this week's upload! This Thursday's is just being edited so I'll improve the camera work thereafter 👍
Thanks again bud
Another stunning tank. I truly think us Aussies, well most of us, set up very similar style aquariums to the UK/Europe scene. I definitely did in the my early years of the hobby, absolutely love the colour spectrum and scape
Cheers dude. I think tank trends seem to do the rounds. Back in the day it was rocks piled up against the back wall, then it went to arched scapes and now NSA scaped seem to be all the rage
Tank looks beautiful man. Good work 👍
Thanks buddy 🙂
Tank is looking great. Well done👍
Cheers buddy 😎
Looking good reefer 🙌🏻 tank looks clean bro
Cheers buddy!
Would love to see more vidoes on your sps corals in the future
I'll make it happen dude 🙂
Like the intro! Quality update mate, tank is looking Mint!
2 years already....Time is going way too quick at the minute.
It would be good to look back on the tanks development since day one, for the 2 year anniversary?
Cheers Andy, good shout! Time flies don't it 🤯 it doesn't seem like it was that long ago when I was getting all the equipment together ready for the upgrade
Cellar marine have a nice sunset millie colony for sale rn. And if you're after a frag of sunset mille then Prestigereef has some I believe.
Both amazing quality.
Great video mate 👍👌
Cheers buddy, I'll check out cellar marine now 🙂
Looking absolutely amazing, have you glued the montis to the back? And the rock flower anemone are looking great, where did you get these?
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 great update
The monti were tiny frags chem I glued them to the back wall bud. They are fully encrusted now and held up by themselves. It only took about 2 weeks for them to have a small foothold on the back wall
The nems I bought years ago. I got 1 from future frags and the other 2 from BBA Atlantis but it was maybe 2 - 2.5 years ago bud
Lanthium chloride will eventually deplete its self mate, i used atm agent green for a while and it sat around for 3 months after using it, i used an arcadia poly filter pad and it seemed to zero it after 2 weeks the second time i used it :)
Cheers mate, I've done a few tactical waterchanges to bring it down a little but I'll see how it goes. I've also reduced the dose and added a bag of carbon to err on the side of caution
looks so good!!!
Cheers dude 🙂
Hey mate! Didn't wait till the end of the video before asking so sorry if you answered this throughout but what lights are you using? I've got a brand new tank and I'm struggling to find some lights. Love the look of your tank!
Cheers dude. I'm using 2x GHL Mitras LX7206 and an Aquaticlife T5 Hybrid fixture
Looks class 👏🏻
Cheers buddy, just seen your post on Instagram saying your shutting down 😭
@@NanoTankReefer yea unfortunately but I’ll set up again within a year. Looking to go a little bit bigger next time. Hopefully there’s some good marine shops in the north east
Good to hear you'll be setting up again mate. You'll be hard pushed to find a shop as good as future frags on your doorstep 😬 I'm sure they'll have some half decent places up there though
Seachem cuprisorb will take out unwanted metals. I have used that and purit by brightwell as well as chemipure blue. I think Mogsy is using a special filter pad for the same purpose.
Spot on! Cheers mate 👍 I'll take a look
Looking great although I miss the torches. Lalanthanum scares me. Stick with GFO. Keep up the good work
You and me both mate, I should never have gotten rid of the torch garden 😭
Pick yourself up a few Incomparable Poly Pads! They're made by Poly Bio Marine and they'll remove all that garbage straight up!
BTW- Your tank looks awesome!
Cheers mate! I'll check them out 🙂
Looking great mate, those voss bottles are only £4 each at m&s :)
£1.95 at Asda 😎
@@NanoTankReefer LOL
Great video!! What are you using to film your tank? If it’s on a phone what type of filter are you using for the camera? It looks amazing!!
Cheers mate. I just use my phone (Samsung s10) with an orphek filter
Got some nice Sunset Milli if you looking for some, if ur in london you can collect if ya like.
I appreciate the offer dude, I'm in the Midlands. I did pick 1 up today but you'll see on Thursday it didn't go as well as I had planned 🙈😭
The tank is stunning, especially those SPS colonies. What it the name of the one that is yellow front and centre? Great update mate 👍 take care.
Cheers Jay! The yellow acro is a 'Pikachu' Acropora microclados
@@NanoTankReefer I need one of those in my collection - stunning coral 👍
It's definitely in my top 3 acros, if it grew a little faster it would get the top spot
@@NanoTankReefer what's number 1? Walt Disney?
@@jaysrealreefuk it's not, I'm yet to see a Walt Disney in person that blows my socks off. Mine looks dull compared to the online photos 😭 same with the others I've seen in person.
My favourite that I own in PC rainbow
Tank is looking great, have you changed your lights from Ai??? Ghl mitras ??
I certainly have, I made the switch in October to Mitras
@@NanoTankReefer thought so, be intriguing to hear your thoughts on them? unlike other light brands information and reviews are not as plentiful, it’s definitely a light I’m considering but as stand alone opposed to hybrid.
For spread of light its hands down the best light I've used. It's an even spread of par across the whole tank with no hot spots. Setting the lights up and amending the light schedule took a bit of getting used to but overall I'm really glad I made the switch. I'm covering my lights in next week's video, it's not a review or in depth look at the Mitras but an overview of my lighting and schedule
@@NanoTankReefer look forward to it 👍
I also love aquaforest 1+2+3+ its slightly weaker than some other solutions but it keeps my acros happy dosing 40ml of each per day and paying £45 for 3- 5 ltr tubs it works out great value for me, mines the redsea 300xl
It's a great product but I'm up to about 98ml per day, I'm refilling the dosing containers way too often (currently every other week) Triton works out to be half the cost and reef zlements about the same cost of Triton. I just feel like I can get alot more bang for my buck, also the other 2 are alot more concentrated so I won't have to replenish half as often 🤷🏻♂️
It's not set in stone but a serious consideration switching
@@NanoTankReefer i adjusted mine with lanthium and maintain it at 0.04 using fauna marin 0.04, the water has never been clearer and the phosphate stays rock solid at 0.04 :)
@@NanoTankReefer i will add im barebottom this time round as ive always had issues with high nitrate and phos in every other aquarium, the sandbed definitely adds extra bacteria and microfauna but it also holds and leeches alot of phos and nitrate :)
Yeah I have to agree mate, I've always wanted to try going barebottom. The next setup it will definitely be a consideration!
@@NanoTankReefer its hard for first year with bacterial blooms and weird thin brown algae, but after month 11/12 its easy, i sometimes even dose nitrate and phosphate lol :)
Beautiful tank! I recently got a XL 300 and can only hope mine looks as nice in two years.
Could you give an overview of your flow? It looks like pumps on the back wall, but I'd love to know type, strength and wave settings. Also which return pump you're running.
2x Sicce SDC on tha back wall running reef crest at 50% anti-sync
On the top right in running a gyre xf330 on 50% pulse mode
The return pump is a reef octopus various running at 100% with 2 VCA random flow generators 🙂
@@NanoTankReefer thanks!
amazing! tank is looking stunning as always, great video content.
a video on your thoughts on sps success. there is a guy frag king on facebook he does great sps possibly a sunset milli?
Cheers buddy
I've only been keeping SPS for about a year. I'm definitely not in the position to be giving my thoughts on success 🙈 I've had my fair share of failures 😂
@@NanoTankReefer haha yea well everyone has their success and failures but what you’re doing at the mo looks like a big success to me😉
I appreciate that mate!
how about a view of tht tank not made by a boxer dodging and weaving? Try using a tripod and slowly moving the camera v0eiw slowly so as not to cause nausea in the viewer?
That's a fair comment, I've taken it on board 🙂
You don't keep a lid or net on top?
That's right, no cover. A little risky but I never got round to getting one made
@@NanoTankReefer save yourself a future headache and get one
@@brianredban9393 to be honest this tank only had about 3 or 4 months until it'll be shut down. 2 years without a lid with the same fish throughout
Please do not zoom in and out so fast and so often
Your making it impossible to view your aquarium
You have very beautiful tank
But let us enjoy it, slow down talking so fast and video slowly and stop on spots that your discussion so people can understand and see exactly what your talking about please
I had to stop the video because it was giving me a head ache
Please send me a message or post a new video specific what your lighting is and fans and what your sump setup is and circulating pumps and any other accessories that you have installed
Thanks
And as always happy reefing
I hit subscribe and like video
I appreciate the straight to the point honestly! I've just watched it back and completely agree. You'll see a vast improvement in the next few weeks 🙂 this week's upload may be the same as my prior content as most of it has been recorded already. Going forward I have taken your points on board
I do have a lighting video in the pipeline but if you have any questions regarding the setup feel free to drop me a message on Instagram 🙂
Moving way to much. Please ✋
I have had a few comments saying the same thing 🙈 all taken on board 🙂
