Cheers dude! Yeah I've tried to place contrasting colours next to each other so I don't have big blocks of certain colours. It's not perfect but I'm very happy with how it looks

I really like how the space invader chalice (I think) perfectly fits inside of the semicircle between your 2 millies on the right side when you're looking top down. The tank is looking amazing!

Your tank is absolutely stunning. Definitely something to aspire to. My favourites are the red planet, Pikachu and obviously the torch. Some beautiful colouration on the SPS. Really enjoyed this type of update. 👍.

Love that Pikachu, its on my wish list for sure. Just transferring my scape into my reefer 250 this weekend. Got the tank second hand and did some custom plumbing with a gate valve.
Pikachu is a stunning coral isn't it! I'm hoping the wolverine will colour up to the same standard but only time will tell.

Cheers Ross, yeah the rock flowers add a little pop to the bottom of the tank. I'd get some more but they rarely come up for sale 😭

Cheers buddy, there's definitely an art to placement. It's fair to say I've learned alot over the past year or so of keeping SPS
Yeah I had to ditch most of my LPS when I started ramping the flow. There's a few select areas in my 250 that are suitable for some nice torches. I'm really missing the movement they gave to the tank. I plan on slowly adding a few more to the tank and seeing how they get on.

@@NanoTankReefer I think I'm going to have to go down the same route to be fair mate. I won't ever go for a mixed reef again, way too hard to keep balanced. I find I'm constantly fighting to find that equilibrium.
@@Nippa1988 I have to agree with you there. Maybe in a bigger system I'll try a mixed reef again but in a 3 foot tank it's a bloody nightmare

Cheers mate. Yeah I had alot of SPS issues in the past, crap colour and stripping acros. Stability of the biggest factor, I've stopped feeding coral foods and gone back to basics and everything seems happy
@@NanoTankReefer had more colour and growth in my 170, now they are in a custom 550 litre, parameters are stable just wish I had the ion director to monitor ca more closely, it’s been a long wait assume you’re a beta tester
Where did you end up putting that torch permanently? I noticed it's pretty low in the tank.. probably because at the time of this video you just picked it up.. did it do well long term? I have the same tank you do . I'm trying to pick up most of the corals you have. Your tank is very nice. I'm trying to build something similar. I have small sps frags right now. But I see you are running out of room fast. I should have baught a bigger tank lol

Fabulous tank. Total beginner here. Seems impossible to achieve… If you know, what is the PAR measures for the tank top/middle/bottom plz? Also, apart from usual balling KH/Ca/Mg, do you dose anything in particular on a regular basis. Like nopox, vibrant, bacteria etc… 🙏
Nothing is impossible given time, patience and research 🙂
Par values roughy 600 at the top, 400 mid and 200 bottom
Other than the main components I don't regularly dose anything to the tank. It's quite a mature system so nutrients are relatively stable 🙂

I'm running AB+ schedule. The light come on at 9am and ramp up for 3 hours and they turn off at 9.30pm with a 3 hour ramp down

It's a very underrated piece. It's super cheap, it's a good grower and the growth pattern is pretty cool
Do you have the GHL mitras lights? How happy are you with them?
I do, I'm using the LX 7206. Setup was a little complicated as it's not what I'm used to coming from AI. Other than that I'm over the moon with them, most of my coral growth has been since I switched out the lighting

The t5s on my tank are overkill. I only kept them on as I bought them new and knew I wouldn't get much for them second hand. I could have easily got away with ditching the t5s and running just the LEDs
Nice. I'm trying to get new sps back growing. I lost everything in feb winter storm. No power for 3 days. What settings do u set lights too. Blues. Violets. Deep blue. Red green. B whites.
I run AB+ schedule with 4x ATI blue plus T5 bulbs

Do you just have control of the blues and whites or can you also adjust violet, UV, red and green?
