Hey suzi, you might have missed it, but in every starting cutscene of each level there is a number concealed (or not) somewhere that says the number of the mission For example, mission 1 is on the pizza cardboard, mission 11 on the bloodtrail on arkham's legs, mission 6 on the signs of the rocket explosion and so on. A cool detail that is easy to miss ^^
Hilariously enough, Lady, on top of helping Dante get back on his feet, heavily contributes to ruining his life by putting him in copious amounts of debt. Mostly for Dante trashing her bike, but also just puts all the expensive clothes she buys on his tab. Sidenote: DT is still as SSS as always
You know, it always bothered me how lady kinda just walked of the stab wound to her leg she got from her father. With the size of the blade and the angle it entered you see it clearly severe 75% of her leg including the bone!
You forgot to mention that a second player can pick up the other controller and play as Virgil during Arkham's boss fight (And also as Dante's doppelganger when he uses that skill)
Sadly, they eliminated that feature in the special edition, which is the one that got ported to higher end consoles. Did you also know that you can 'shoot' and 'slash' the "Now Loading" text while waiting for the game to load? That was also removed with the port...sadly :(
A fun little secret is that a second player can actually plug in their controller and play as Virgil during the fights he's a part of. It's the perfect "little brother/big brother" playing together moment. I'll always remember my brother and I fighting together just like Dante and Virgil. I love this game and I love that you've covered it!
I always thought that a title where Vergil and Dante team up and fight demons together for a whole game would be badass. It could have drop-in co-op and a Vergil that isn't constantly posting new power memes to reddit.
Ah, my first DMC, my first love. This game sold me with its crazy combat action of the intro alone. Keep doing a great job with your analysis as always.
I know many will disagree but the fact that you could only use one style and only 4 weapons made it more challenging and fun. So many different combos to use in different spots, it really made you work for it and strategize. The free use styles and weapons just feels cheaper as fun as it can be.
Another detail I love is that every cutscene shows the number of the mission. This game is just so memorable and that a second controller can control Vergil or the Doppelganger. Jackpot.
Don't forget the Light Novels. Those were awesome and one of the reasons I was so excited for Nico's reveal in Five. Her Grandmother was amazing and one of the reasons that even to this day I can't see Ebony and Ivory close up without it bringing a tear to my eye.
Reuben Langdon IS Dante and I'm so happy he returned for dmc4 and dmc5. What you said about the development with him has only made me like him even more.
This game was my life when it came out. I don't think I've played through a game and memorized its contents more than this. If only ten games could be preserved in a capsule for posterity, this would have to be one of them, no doubt.
The last fight with vergil was so rough the first time I did it but its basically my favourite now. Visually speaking though the fight on the tower looks so good in the cinematic.
Oh my goodness, this entire video made me relive the two years I played this game and all the struggles, late nights and little victories. I remember being stuck on several bosses for months and forcing myself to stop mashing the controller and really think of how I had to play to beat them. Also, I love the little bit continuity with the demon sword later becoming Alister in DMC 1
When Devil May Cry 5 came out, i nearly played it before playing 1, 2, and 3... I decided to play all 3 in order to gain context on the world, and appreciate the characters much more by the time i get to 5 Im very glad i played them...and yes, even 2 (though i wont go back to it)

Fun fact; if you have Agni and Rudra and the Rebellion equipped and have the Swordmaster style equipped as well, you can use the first two-three attacks of Sky Dance and Aerial Rave and switch back and forth between weapons and actually stay afloat. It is very useful against the Leviathan boss, as you won't even touch the ground at all.
This game is such a masterpiece and is so special!!! I cried a lot of times during the video and could spend hours talking about how this game is a lesson in storytelling, art direction, soundtrack etc
Don't be so hard on yourself! There is always something new to discover in DMC 3, I recently learned this technique myself watching someone's else play through! Same goes for the styles, if you get the HD collection on steam for PC, you can mod the game to get the proper HD texture mod, and the Style switcher mod (like in DMC 4). Also in special edition you can get an infinite devil trigger which was discovered as a glitch in the original game, if you have a copy of the original game and if you managed to activate the infinite devil trigger glitch alongside the doppelganger style, you can effectively turn your game into a Co-Op experience!!! This "feature" or "glitch" was later removed in special edition. Even if you use doppelganger with the infinite devil trigger (which is unlock-able in special edition) it's not Co-Op. :D
DMC3 is one of my favorite games of all time. Music, story, themes, choreography and gameplay all come together like chocolate and penutbutter. It gives me chill every time

For example, mission 1 is on the pizza cardboard, mission 11 on the bloodtrail on arkham's legs, mission 6 on the signs of the rocket explosion and so on.
A cool detail that is easy to miss ^^
Sphere hunter for audible plz amazon
I need this
Yes.
Agree
Spoon radio could also work
Imagine this voice for a 40K book.
Swordsmaster is my favorite style, you get 4 new moves for each weapon which gives you an insane amount of options during combat.
Sphere uploaded a DMC3 video. This is gonna be one hell of a party!
Nice art. Always hyped when you upload.
For some reason the “Wanna know the name... Devil May Cry” line is my favorite in all of DMC3
I LOVE YOU FOR PUTTING THE MISSION SELECT SONG FROM DMC 2 RIGHT AT THE START OF THE VIDEO
You know, it always bothered me how lady kinda just walked of the stab wound to her leg she got from her father. With the size of the blade and the angle it entered you see it clearly severe 75% of her leg including the bone!
Right? Also getting stabbed through the artery in your thigh like that is most definitely a death sentence in any other context lol
That's great and all but CUTE SUCCUBUS SUZI!?
Not anymore, I'm a Kazuma Kaneko alien demon thing now!
Kinda makes me wonder what your lvl 4 Devil Trigger is going to look like.

You must've summoned the video.
Speak of the devil.
You forgot to mention that a second player can pick up the other controller and play as Virgil during Arkham's boss fight
(And also as Dante's doppelganger when he uses that skill)
Nice
Sadly, they eliminated that feature in the special edition, which is the one that got ported to higher end consoles. Did you also know that you can 'shoot' and 'slash' the "Now Loading" text while waiting for the game to load? That was also removed with the port...sadly :(
@@hunterofcomedy thank God I still have the vanilla version lol.
Keep doing a great job with your analysis as always.
wait what, I never knew that there is a DT explosion thing..
Devil May Cry 3 was my first DMC game. I really loved it, Dante is such an badass on this game and the story is really good. One of my favourites!
My personal load out was:
Nevan
Cerberus
Coyote-A
Spiral
Royal Guard
Agni & Rudra
Cerberus
E & I
Kalina Ann
Swordmaster
Cerberus
Rebellion
Ebony and Ivory
Spiral
Trickster

Royal Guard
Rebellion
Beowulf
Ebony and Ivory

I know many will disagree but the fact that you could only use one style and only 4 weapons made it more challenging and fun. So many different combos to use in different spots, it really made you work for it and strategize. The free use styles and weapons just feels cheaper as fun as it can be.
1 second in and "The year is 2005."
TRANSFORRRRMMMMMEEEERRRSSSSSS!!!
It is the year 2005, the Decepticons have conquered the Autobots home planet of Cybertron...

HAH, i'll just pause the video and read their description
Bam , you were defeated m'lady.
Never really got into DMC but now watching this makes me want to play all 3 and really love Dante as a character as well as his groovy attitude
Probably spent a little too long trying to pause at the right moment at 28:31 lol, perfection!
you can pause, then press the < or > keys to move frame by frame
?
31:55 vergil: don't you dare say it! Lol
33:39 i love the fact that before dying his voice changes entirely
the intro with persona on the background made me think you were about to say you discovered dmc from the smt3 cameo xD
The Sphere Hunter back again with her beautiful voice ❤😩
Reuben Langdon IS Dante and I'm so happy he returned for dmc4 and dmc5. What you said about the development with him has only made me like him even more.
This game was my life when it came out.
I don't think I've played through a game and memorized its contents more than this.
If only ten games could be preserved in a capsule for posterity, this would have to be one of them, no doubt.
I played DMC 3 recently and I loved it particularly the boss fights against Vergil.
The ending of this game is so cheesy... SO WHY AM I CRYING!?!
Cheese is good for you
Its only the rain
That Arkham reveal was such a cool scene even if it was a little cliche.
DMC3 best hack and slash ever.
AAAAAAHHHH THE HUNTRESS OF 3D CIRCLES IS BACK
When Devil May Cry 5 came out, i nearly played it before playing 1, 2, and 3...
I decided to play all 3 in order to gain context on the world, and appreciate the characters much more by the time i get to 5
Im very glad i played them...and yes, even 2 (though i wont go back to it)
Ok, WOW. I NEVER knew about the Devil Trigger Explosion in all the years I've played this game.
You played with the tutorial off? Or you skipped every tutorial windows in the game?
@@nathanielbaldevino5364 No, I didn't skip the tutorial. I just somehow missed it. After playing DMC 1 and 2 I just assumed I know all I needed to about Devil Trigger.
@@AlexanderFrost That's because it was only implemented in the 3rd game. The next installments didn't brought back DT explosion again.
DMC does a really good job of not being humorless but never letting humor come before cool.
It's a pretty strong balance that keeps Dante from being edgy while making him able to be taken seriously.
3 was peak Dante IMO. 4 and 5 was cool but a bit cheesy at times. 3 was a total bad ass all the way.
So you're both Yukiko AND Makoto. You've definitely got your work cut out for you
Fun fact Southworth had a cold when he did his lines for Virgil and it gave the character a unique sound 👍👍
So Vergil permanently has a stuffy nose
No he did not. Stop spreading rumors... Dan himself debunked this and he doesn't even know where this came from
Sorry I just thought it was a cool/unique fact about the game
@@clearmind89 It's cool I just keep seeing this misinformation spread. I didn't mean to come off rude
I've download a mod for resident evil 2 that had your name, so curious I looked it up and found your channel and realized I've already watched multiple video of yours. Your voice is soothing and your video are really well made, really enjoy it, also your Instagram cosplay are on point ! Keep it up
Fun fact; if you have Agni and Rudra and the Rebellion equipped and have the Swordmaster style equipped as well, you can use the first two-three attacks of Sky Dance and Aerial Rave and switch back and forth between weapons and actually stay afloat. It is very useful against the Leviathan boss, as you won't even touch the ground at all.
I love devil may cry 3 so much, it`s even one of my all time favourite games
This game is such a masterpiece and is so special!!! I cried a lot of times during the video and could spend hours talking about how this game is a lesson in storytelling, art direction, soundtrack etc

I've been playing DMC for years and I never knew this. I'm an idiot.
I went as far as the 10th mission in DMD mode and I only discovered this years after while watching some pros.
30:24 My favourite Vergil line.
I am so glad I subbed, nothing like finding like minded, introspective fans of what you're also a fan of.
7:42 "Use your selected style to show the enemies just how crazy this party can get." :D
DMC3 is one of my favorite games of all time. Music, story, themes, choreography and gameplay all come together like chocolate and penutbutter. It gives me chill every time
This game was a true legend...
A true masterpiece....
But little we know back in 2005 that this is only the prequel of what will come that year.....
The God of War....
DMC3 >>>> any God of War game, as good as those games are.

Totally awesome devil may cry 3 i love this game so much i ve so much memories of it and lone time no see though welcome back, cheers to everyone as well.
Fun Fact: During motion capping 26:52 they had dragged the guy's face (Allegedly Daniel Southworth since he had worked in the past with motion capture and worked with choreography and stunts on of Jackie Chan's films with Andy Cheng) across the green screen room floor pretty far with the help of 2 dudes holding him by the legs lol.
