I remember when I was a kid watching Jamie Ollie big gaps and stairs, my friends and I would say “when he gets older he’s not even going to be able to walk”. We were wrong.
Yeah man, I can last 2-3 hours in my 30s now, but I go sesh with a friend who hasn't skated in a year and he only lasts 30 minutes. It's hard to see your homies who used to sesh even harder than you take a back seat as they get older, but it's all part of life. Now we just watch the footy and look at how crazy everything is.
Of course he ends with the 180 nosegrind, THE most signature Chief trick of all time. God bless Jamie and his skateboarding, and many thanks for all the years of inspiration. There's no putting in words what Jamie/Zero and all that skateboarding magic meant to the average skater kid in the 90s and early 00s. Most of all, I am thankful for growing up with Thrill of it All / Misled Youth / Dying to Live / New Blood as they were released. All hail the Chief!
Times are changing, kids nowadays only care about these youtube skaters. Nobody remembers or cares about dudes who actually made a real impact in street skating.
Jamie Thomas keeping on skating to grinding a great creativity setup of landing a 50-50+backside crooked+ 540 flip, and etc. Happy Birthday to Jamie Thomas! I am just subscribed to your channel 💯👍🔔🙏 Does Zero Skateboarding respond?
Happy belated birthday to the Chief! I've followed Jamie's career since i bought my vhs copy of welcome to hell. Gnarly ripper, one of the best in the game. Congrats on making it to 45 , cant wait to see you do 90 tricks at 90.
Everybodys went crazy for Huston and Oliveira and others youngsters... but when i see new footages of those who were our pro riders back in the 90's.. i cant help but exclaim myself " damn this is jamie foockin thomas, leap of faith !!!" I listened so much the misled youth VHS, at the end, it became a real mess just to get it to play 🤣🤘 i still have it with the cover, what a great movie !! (Dont get me wrong, Huston and Oliveira are also very good skaters!)
Happy birthday Jamie! Now please get back to riding with the Fallen!!! Even Cobra and Tommy Guns are backing it. Nobody is buying straye because they are garbage Vans rip-offs that don't last. You've always been so dedicated, but you made a bad decision on that one.
Chief, two things. 1) how the fuck did you pinch a front 50 on a curved bench then proceed to front shove out? 2) what shoes are you skating? They remind me of the Forte, but the grip look sticky like a pair of Vans Authentics.
Wide deck and small wheels are the key to getting older and still retaining your pop and control on concrete parks man I telling ya. Love to see J.T. still techy as ever, but gets old school style in between. Mike V type skating is always refreshing in between his flippy switch stuff.
Okay so maybe street-park "footage" (I dunno what else to call it now) CAN be worth watching. ...if the person skating is just THAT good. LOVE those impossibles.
I remember his parts In misled youth and dying to live throwing himself down the hugest and sketchiest handrails and stair cases nailing these tricks first or 2nd try absolute zero fear
super sweet... love the quarter-pipe huracaine, back 5-0 fakie and front feeb; as far as setup goes, I found the JT 9.5 Cruizer on the Zero website; any speculation on trucks (which model of Thunders) and wheels?
Man he just took me back. My favorite tricks to do were f/s flips. I cwould do n/s or real wide. And also the fackie version. I cant remember if that would fs or bs. Perry sure it would be bs. Either way awesome vid. Happy birthday!
I remember when I was a kid watching Jamie Ollie big gaps and stairs, my friends and I would say “when he gets older he’s not even going to be able to walk”. We were wrong.
he probably didnt walk for a week after this session.
He’s getting in an all day session at 45 and here I am at 29 dead after a hour session... legend 🤘🏼
I felt this hard.

@@giantsfan7733 it's not part of life, it's called lack of conditioning.
@@Fanaz10 He means people quit when they get older lol....
@@ryankelly8554 it's because people are lazy fucks, not because they get older.

Misled Youth followed by Dying to Live is what gave me my life strength. Have a great week Chief!!
He's still got it. Great style as always.
Aye looks so easy for him
Wonder if the kids at the skate park realise they are witnessing a living legend
Doubt anyone cares who Jamie Thomas is now
@@jacksamunster4407 it's a shame because hes an iconic legend of skateboarding

brent seano the kids at the skatepark look up to John Hill nowadays lmao
@@jacksamunster4407 your wrong... still see kids with brand new zero gear
Can't wait till we see the first 80 tricks on 80th birthday video.
😂😂😂😂
and this is just a small taste of what Jamie can really do
Jamie the kind of guy who has such a signature steeze that a 50 50 looks like HIS 50 50
I think this trick was molded by chief in the ideal world! Cheers from Brasil 👊🏻
45, its a good vintage. Smooth, with some kick.
Such a rad human being. Thanks Jamie for all you’ve done for skateboarding 🙏🏻
Holding it down. Truly one of the legends who will never stop. Still looks like he is ripping in his 20's with no signs of stopping.
Looked up to him so much in my earlier skating years😁
Jamie "Leap of Faith" Thomas. A true skateboarding LEGEND!
Defiantly has always been one of my favorites.

I stopped skating in the 90s. Jesus I'm old lol 😂 still..I love skating and will enjoy these vids till I die.
Great to see...still with the impeccable flatground textbook tricks on everything. Seriously brings me back. Hell yeah Jamie 💪

Got my first zero deck around 2003. Stuck with them ever since. You're a legend Chief.
Favorite skater of all time. Happy Birthday to the man, the myth, the legend, Jamie Thomas. Killing it Chief.
Fawk me! My knees and legs are pretty shot! RESPECT TO YOU BRO at 45!!!!
It’s been raining for 2 days and it’s 40 degrees. I might be a wimp but no way at I skating in that weather. Oklahoma problems🙄

Any dislikes on this video are not from real skaters. Period. Do y'all not understand what he has done on a skateboard and for skateboarding?
How fuc*** good is jamie Thomas a year older than me aswell. Sick !!!
Jamie Thomas and Zero made me want to skate. The old Zero VHS tapes were watched countless times.
That's inspiration right there to keep skating for as long as I can, Happy birthday Jamie .
God dam. I think jamie thomas and maybe a couple more skaters has stayed loyal to one brand of skateboards.
Great style. Similar to Chris Cole but a bit looser. Jamie's a legend.
That style is still untouchable 🖤
He changed the game with his welcome to hell part
Happy 45th! Try the leap of faith again bro 😅.
How are your knees, and have you had replacements???
Thought I was watching The Edge skate for a second there lol
Who dislikes this video? All you who did must have terrible lives.
Happy birthday Chief! Still shreddin like a beast. 💪

Not sure about the cruiser, but I know his normal setup he 159s.
Zero is life
My fuckin Idol! Thank you Jamie!
I think it is safe to say that he is doing alright!
I’m gonna have to rock those sick ass vans for the next skate shoe
0:08 Love that JT 360 flip.
Style that is still so underrated!
savannah slamma 88 on vhs is where i 1st saw this guy..
Haters be damned-
*No one* from the 90s will forget welcome to hell w/ Jamie's gallows pole part💪
Word!
That's why JT is the man. Everything he ever did looked so effortless and so smooth.
Dare we all dream to make it this far.
Salute Chief

Dang! 45 tricks in 1:36 What an animal!!
all tricks done really well and I like how they built up to bigger and bigger tricks
Damn... I'm 36 and way out of the game... But Jamie Thomas was my first deck! 👍LOL
Jamie Thomas is beyond inspiring
Favorite skater of all time. #theChief
The end by the doors and the who baba with mr thomas s video part are unequivocal genius. That s when skating first captivated my brain. Danke schön!
My role model and hero grown up I skated cause of him. I let the chief down when I quit skating 15 yrs ago my biggest regret zero or die still
One of my favourite skaters !
Have a Thomas signature death hawks deck on my wall.
On his 45th trick I thought he was gonna do the leap of faith.
Happy birthday Jamie!

Hell yeah that was good. Shit I bet it took him about as long to do this video than its actual film length
I could've sworn when he appeared on the last king of the road like 2 years ago, he said he was 39 about to turn 40 lol
We need another Full length video With Jamie, Sandoval & Chris Cole
