What an incredible transformation, first true cleaning, maybe ever... Up in the midwest these were all rotted away decades ago. This truck has a second lease on a truck life. Satisfying to see this work. Thanks for this great and tremendous work. Looking forward to future content.😎😎
Ahhh Fricken Awesome !!! but what about the engine cleaning ? ya gotta include the engine detail in everyone of your vids please, we love that too 🙏...other than that another great vid keep em coming👍💪🤜👊🤛🇺🇸
Gotta remember it’s not an amazing idea to do too much washing to these old carbureted motors. Alot of ways to get water in the block and bowls and such

Wow! My favorite transformation was the interior! The colors we could barely see before are now popping! And that new seat cover helped put it over the top!! My first truck was a '66 Chevy C10 8' bed, manual transmission. My mother reupholstered the seat. Later I got a '68, but with an automatic tranny. I am sorry I sold that one.
If that old box body could talk it would say thank you for not letting it stay moldy and forgotten. Sharp looking truck. Never seen a stepside boxbody before
Looks Awesome! You did a awesome job of cleaning and detailing the whole truck! You don't see many 73 GMC stepside truck that are ad original as that 1! Keep up the great work! Take care.
I started doing auto body work in 1974 at a GMC dealer. Those were brand new trucks then. They never put much paint on them and it was very easy to buff through.
I collect Squarebody trucks. I also collect 73-74 Chevy and Gmc grills to hang on my wall to display my hot wheels and matchbox cars on. Nice cleanup man. 😎
i love those trucks. what a beautiful job you done. good on you bud.my friend had a one idetical to this one but it was a chevy silverado with a 454 engine black with red interier she was a beauty.thanks for showing your short wheel base gmc. beautiful truck
Nicely done, looked like quite the project. Amazing how much better it looked after a decent wash. I used to have a '66 Chevy stepside, same color and paint condition although my hood had more paint. Just kept what was there shined up and used to get a lot of compliments on it. I also do an acid wash on cars with heavy water spots. Like you say be careful and don't let it sit and you won't have a problem. Only thing I found I really need to watch is aluminum window trim.
Seriously, when he said it was in bad condition, I about choked. That thing is in damn fine condition! Hardly any rust holes, patina is perfect! Slap some clear coat on it, fix that hood, and get some decent wheels!
Turned out gorgeous!! The right products and processes makes all the difference!! Now, I’m kinda nuts; I’d drive it like in the beginning…just with the interior clean!!! at least for a few weeks just to mess with people; but wow: beautiful save!!! A few more years and it would have been a pile of rust. Gorgeous now!!
I have that same truck but a fleetside, I long since pulled the straight 6 and put a cammed 5.3 in it with a 3000 stalled th350….now I’m in the final stages of prep before I paint it
One of GM's biggest screw ups was that hood! The hinges have to be almost floating in lubricant or the hood will buckle right about midway because some GM "GENIUS" designed a dimple into that spot that created a weak spot. GM NEVER corrected that screw up and a lot of good trucks paid for it by being junked or abandoned long before their time.
You did what you could with this old beauty. Not the best of shape, almost like a spit and shine kinda detail. I love this style Chevy/GMC pickup with the stepside bed. So many possibilities for customization. I would tear this truck down bit by bit and turn it into an old school resto mod. Redo the whole chassis with new parts, a custom paint job, lower it, put in a hopped up small or big block Chevy engine, 15 or 16 inch wheels, "big and little" tires, and a custom interior.
Awesome as always. Curious question, do you remove license plates and clean behind them, picked up a habit about 5 years ago to always remove them before I start any detail. You'd be surprised what you find behind plates sometimes
The truck looks like new again looks great cleaned up very nice truck
Thanks for saving another old forgotten Square body. Beautiful patina on this one

It’s amazing how well the truck turned out. I’m currently restoring a 76 step side
You certainly excel at reviving old heaps. Good work. Thank you,
Terrific job! So satisfying to watch you bring this great old pick up around. Well done, Sir. Bravo!

I’m very impressed. My favorite body style also. And my favorite seat covers, the icing on the cake. Thanks.

beautiful truck !! wow those guys did a GREAT job detailing her!
And people used to say “you cant polish a turd” boy did you prove them wrong!
Pops would tell me that when I washed my clunkers. I’d always tell him I was making the corn nuggets sparkle on my turd. 🤣🤣
I would have liked to see it going down the road in both day and at night with streetlights shining. Still did an amazing job.
Awesome detail, awesome truck, this gave me the motivation to detail and fix up my '78 Blazer !
Now, this truck has turned out cleaned, good work.

Just when I think he's missed a spot, lol, you clean it a few steps later. You're the truth!
Classic Pick Up from General Motor Company. From the decade 1970s . I like this pick up.
Awesome job. Amazing. A truck of that vintage and having sat for so long, really came up great.
These videos make my days so much better just always a satisfying experience. Thanks for the great content bro.
Would probably be more satisfying if you'd go out and wash your own vehicle.
Really great job on this ole girl!!!!!!
Exceptional craftsmanship. Very well done with admirable patience and deliberate approach to your work.
I started doing auto body work in 1974 at a GMC dealer. Those were brand new trucks then. They never put much paint on them and it was very easy to buff through.
There's three places on my 79 stepside where they missed with the paint gun, only primer. Probably a Friday afternoon job.
I love the custom cracked windshield adds character to the truck
Wow! This was so satisfying! Awesome !
I collect Squarebody trucks. I also collect 73-74 Chevy and Gmc grills to hang on my wall to display my hot wheels and matchbox cars on. Nice cleanup man. 😎

They actually sold a reinforcement kit through the parts dept. Unfortunately, no one thought of it until after the fact.

Hi M.A.D Details I love your channel and I love your car detailing videos:)
Very good, you wash the car😊
Really 👍 I enjoyed that.
Wow
Looks awesome

Everytime we bought a vehicle I would do deep detail clean and disinfect. So our germs could just be ours. (A moms perspective)
Could you please do a video on the tools you use like pressure washing, chemicals etc. thanks
Nice job good looking chevy
Nice video 👊🏻👊🏻💯
