This is the best NT conversation so far. They're both so likeable.
This was joyous, two fascinating actors, I could listen to them for hours.
I am loving this series. I love that there is no interviewer or moderator. So many of these kind of shows get ruined by a bad moderator/interviewer.
I agree! So many so called interviewers are not at all good at interviewing: they either make statements and then expect the interviewee to answer or they will ask three questions all together, usually resulting in the interviewee only answering the last question! And I include some pretty big names (mostly seen on TV) as poor interviewers!
I agree. It also helps that they get people who have worked together and/or are good friends. I hope they continue this show later...
The passion and commitment to their craft is palpable. A real insight into the world of real pioneers. Such lovely humans too.
What a pleasure to feel like a fly on the wall of this wonderful conversation between two very humble yet esteemed actors. Fingers crossed we can see them in theatres soon.
I am LOVING this series. I've watched 3 so far and each one has been an absolute JOY! Great job on selecting the actors.
As a young Indian girl. This was so inspiring and funny thank you!
I love these episodes, I can't wait for next week!
Can someone please put on a production of Sweeney Todd with Adrian as Sweeney, that would be amazing casting.
Great interview, really interesting.
Absolutely. Love Sweeney Todd. Have seen many productions but one of the most memorable was Dennis Quilley as the Judge at the NT Cottesloe Theatre. How lucky we are to have the NT.
@@BelhalaBilberry like you Sweeney is probably my favourite musical I’ve seen quite a few versions... my favourite was the tooting pie shop and have a pie and mash before the show. i wasn’t in London when that production was on at the NT but I will need to see it in the archives when they open. I heard that production was amazing.
Fascinating to be on the edge of this conversation
Another great episode coming up, can't wait!
Adored this. My first experience of falling in love with a conversation. ❤ I will visit this often.
A wonderful conversation, really loving this series.
really enjoyed all three of these so far
That was really nice, thank you!
I love them both! They both seem like very nice and very funny and cool people to be around! That and they have great chemistry too...
This was such an interesting and smooth conversation! Thank you for sharing this.
Love these two actors but Adrian Lester in this conversation said he hadn't worked at the NT but he did Othello with Rory Kinear - one of the best I have seen.
I think he was trying to remember if he had been on that particular stage in the National theatre. This is one of the smaller stages and Othello was on the large main stage (Olivier)
I loved this, thank you ❤️💐
So wonderful. Thank you
Amazing Hustle come BACKKKKKKKK 😭
All worked with wood! 😭😭😭
Is there a way to watch older productions of National Theater Live plays after they've played live? There's plays that occurred before that I wished I didn't miss.
Have you tired NT At Home? If you don't mind paying the subscription like Netflix they have a bunch of plays there.
@@winterwolfe Awesome! Thank you!
Coolest chap on the planet
Thespian extraordinaire
Can't wait for this
Wonderful!!!
Dear Meera/Rufus/National - Can you please do Mother Courage?
This was delicious.
Love a Small Town Murder with Meera
How odd life is. Cat on a hot tin roof. Adrian. Lester. Jeeps not land rovers. Anthony Harvey? Hustles. Robert Vaughn. Yes I think it was the Royal Festival Hall not the National Theatre. That catering dude. Primary Colours/ Colours. Your lack of confidence disturbs me. That is my watching the arts life. Our watching the arts life. I want the Great White Hype just to stop and us all to get serious now. The Bill, robot waiter. The Bill. We dug Graham Cole together. PC STAMP and Justification.
