Every time I go back to London (where I was born) my first thing to do is buy tickets for EVERY show which will be on stage @ The NT during my trip. I've watched some of the most amazing productions there, including the Open Night for Mike Leigh's "2000" (I think he has changed the title now). The Gods were definitely looking over me at that time, as the whole production had been sold out for months and some of the previews had to be cancelled as the show was not ready and it was oversold. I was going into the NT every day to see one or the other shows, and the wonderful woman at the box office eventually shouted across the Lobby to me that she had ONE cancelled seat, would I like it! I could not believe it. I've also seen most of the cinema screenings of NTLive productions since it started with Phèdre in 2009 - never to be missed! After a show at The NT, my soul is satiated and my smile stays on for weeks. Bless Sophie (& The NT) - she's been in some amazing productions both on stage and on TV & film. If I see her name connected to anything, I make sure I see it. 💜💜
Sophie is an incredible actress and my favourite performances of her is on the Netflix series Ratchet. She is incredible in that and on stage.
Hated Ratchet but did love Sophie. I am weary of Ryan. lol
As a non theater person, I enjoy this so much. So enlightening!
This is wonderful- for both- saw Follies and it was brilliant for me- and Sophie- I don't get to see enough as I am in the US so if it is not on NT Live or @ home , I don't see it. But I do see her on tv series, films, etc. I just want to see more London theatre every moment once the show has closed- tape everything! ;-)

Now they’re currently working together in Medea (using the translation of Robinson Jeffers), at @sohoplace, with their fellow best friend Ben Daniels (he and Dominic recently worked in The Normal Heart at the NT). Hoping there’s gonna be an NT Live for Medea, and Life in Stages season 2 please!!
