Just tested it out on the Steam version of Special Edition, this glitch has not been fixed! (Which I want to say I really don't mind at all because it's so ridiculously obscure). I didn't end up counting properly how many times I've talked to Yan, I'm sure it was 22 after I started counting but I talked a bunch before that, paused for a bit and then started up again. I think the amount would line up with the Japanese version? I'm unable to use the start button to pause the game while softlocked, which is how it works for that version. Fun thing to discover!
I think so too. They will most likely don't touch anything from the original game and just transfer it over to a newer engine or something. Same thing happened with the Tomb Raider remaster where all the bugs from the original game got carried over

I might have a glitch that I don't know if people know. If you have the green hair and parasol, and you at the end of watch tower at the bottom of the rope, you can jump next to the wall on the left of the rope and use the tornado, and you will end up at the top.
We theorized about it, but no idea honestly My idea is that being small sprites it was hard to implement or the details didn't look right so it was not left in the end

Quick update to this, I reloaded back to before I talked with Yan to see the exact amount, it softlocked after talking with him 37 times!

They will not fix anything in the special edition, if anything, we might find even more bugs.

This. It's a lazy port with emulator features and new music. Nothing will be patched, before or after release.
