Tomba 2 was part of my chilhood and I even remember completing it. I don’t think I ever played the original though..

I thought the slab outside of dwarf village was a light switch and the slab at the haunted mansion was a letter box. Was always looking for letters on each play through 😆

Proof you can sell anything to a gamer. This game has been available for over 20 years and this version brings nothing new to the game itself. No graphical updates. Not even a hd stretched out format. Anyone that buys this is a total sucker.

I always thought they were like decorative letterboxes, with handles to pull down that you just couldn't interact with

I'd love to buy the PS4 physical from LRG, but unfortunately it doesn't seem to have a product page on LRG's website. I've only seen the Swich, Steam, and PS5 versions.

i KNEW there was something wierd about those slabs... Man... theres so many hidden secrets and stuff in Tomba... Also... missed opportunity to use the "Return the Slab" clip from Courage the Cowardly Dog for a brief segway to Tomba! Remastered. :3c

This was a great watch and nice to get some insight on his work. I recall seeing the news of his passing pretty much right as I had gotten into the video editing portion of my Tombi 2 video. Only felt right to have a tribute to him considering how many times I stopped to discuss all the great tunes in that game. RIP man.

Ashif Hakik was (AND STILL IS! HIS LEGEND WILL LIVE ON!) amazing. And to think that this was his first project! ...if anyone of you haven't listen to it... Fantavision soundtrack is outstanding. Guy was a true talent. Thank you for this, Tomba Club. You're on a roll lately.

During the early 2000s I had found a software to extract FMVs from the PS1 disc to my PC. Back then the only way to see these cut-scenes was to play the game again, or have multiple saves just before them, so I wanted to have them in my hard disk. I managed to extract every FMV, but among them was an unused purification of an unknown place. Tombi was always about riddles and I was feeling like I found the ultimate one! I searched every corner of the Internet but I couldn't find anything about it. I spend many days searching for information, but I ultimately gave up. Every few years, that thought would come into my head and every time I would spend quite a few hours searching, but I never managed to discover anything at all. I hadn't thought about this video for many years, but when I heard about the re-release, I decided to search again just in case. You can imagine my surprise when I found this research. Not only you addressed the "lost" video, but you revealed tons of buried information and tied them altogether. This was an unexpected surprise, I never thought I would learn so much about the depths of Tombi. Great work to everyone that contributed to this.

Very nice tribute to Ashif, nice work. It's fascinating to hear about composers from this era of game dev who sort of rolled into game composing as musicians. He had some pretty big scalps on his game dev CV. RIP.

I was always curious why Tomba doesn't have his ponytail in the Sprites? Then in the cutscenes she does have it.

Will we see some more new contents for this game's rerelease in the current gen consoles such as: - New events. - Tweaked Evil Pig Boss fights (such as the player now needs to throw the Evil Pig to the Evil Pig Bag more than once in those Evil Pig Boss fights). - Post-game contents. And btw, they should have release both this game and Tomba! 2 under a compilation similar to the first three Crash Bandicoot games (which was released under the title of Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy).

I didn't know Tomba had that simple Now Loading screen between sections in the japanese version.

I might have a glitch that I don't know if people know. If you have the green hair and parasol, and you at the end of watch tower at the bottom of the rope, you can jump next to the wall on the left of the rope and use the tornado, and you will end up at the top.
