I like the way everything looks so normal: no fancy equipment... Just something simple that most African homes can relate to. I get a lot of inspiration from your batch cooking and my girls are so excited and surprised at the change at our house! You are helping a lot; especially us single moms with full time jobs. Keep up the good work!
This looks absolutely delicious 😋😋😋. I make the salad but I usually add a few more ingredients. I add granny Smith apples (the green tangy ones), red and yellow peppers & course onions. I reduce the sugar since I'm on a low carb diet. As for the butternut soup I add lots of leeks. You are a wonderful mum, wife and you are an inspiration in this generation. May God bless you
I was in Kenya the last two weeks and on the last day, realized I forgot to eat Bhajias. Well, no problem sis, wipe your tears and follow Suzy’s recipe! I will be trying each and every dish on this episode
haki Suzy si i love you. I loved cooking but after discovering your channel my cooking went to another level. batch cooking is such a salvage and now this?life is for the living....hehehe for the last two months ive been surviving on batch cooking having no house help and being a working mum with small kids...and that video of how to survive without a help. my hubby always think i have a twinnie who cleans while we are asleep...hahahaha
You can store ginger in a container full of water in you fridge. It stays fresh and hard for about 2 weeks or more. If you have a wilted one, do the same and the water will revive it
Just put the gingers in an airtight container and pop in the fridge.. Check on them every 3rd day to see if there's any moisture..u can also add paper napkins and change them.. Or simply spread them in a basket and keep them in a cool place.. They will last u for a month.. guarantee.
Suzy, you are so relatable. You simplified the cooking.... when i hear of guests i panic :) . The first thought is what will we cook for them but thanks for this. You maintained your cool not like me...hehehhe. all the recipes are a must-try You are looking good too!
@@lisanoel-alexander apologies. I meant something different. Some videos I have watched on grocery hauls I found very destructive and capable of ruining a person's financial plans. Certainly not Suzie's because she is on the paths to building or rebuilding her finances.
Wow the recipes are awesome. And the intro too is interesting. I think I will be coming back to this one for ideas. Thanks for always wowing us with beautiful content. ❤️
Live a little, I’ve laughed a lot! U r so hilarious at the porero poraro parts. Loved the pumpkin soup (and all else), will try it soon. Love u girl, thanks for making me laugh heartily. I can count on u for fun and good homestead stories
Another great video Suzy. I'm dying for some bhajias right now. Butternut soup is a South African winter staple. We usually cook it with stock, chicken stock mainly, and add about a cup of cream towards the end of the cooking time. Delicious. I just have to try your wholewheat muffins.
I really enjoyed this video... Was hoping to see the food processor in action... Atleast the blender was out today... Great to see the mega appliances in this MEGA kitchen!!! Hizo bhajia... 😋😋😋😋😋
I'm back..💃💃💃good to see going strong each day dear .. happy new year Sue.. Now I have an ask🙈🙈🙈!! can the pumpkin soup with the sandwich be served for breakfast!!?😋
I have been watching you for a while now , and I just love your cooking bt I have a question . those pumpkins did you roast them directly or you boiled them first

We all have to eat.
