She's like a mama bird LOL, it is soothing I'm glad I chose to watch this tutorial as I had watched about three other tutorials but tonight is the night that I actually made the cake pops and I'm so glad I chose to watch this one
I am SO thankful I ran across your video. You gave pointers I have yet to hear. I'm about to emabrk on the cake pop making. I've been wanting to try them for so long now. This is the year, just in time for Valentine's day gifts. 💖
Hi! I have been making these for a few years. I stir in a little canola oil as the chocolate is melting. This helps it from fully solidifying while you wait for it to cool. It doesn’t need to be “chilled”. Her phrasing wasn’t helpful. It would harden if “chilled”, but it should be cool enough that you can touch it. A little warmer than room temp works fine for me. :)
One tip is after you dip the cake pop in the chocolate stick the lollipop stick in a foam so it doesn't form a base and you get a nice and smooth round shape
Sometimes even if I dip the stick in the chocolate, the chocolate is so hot it makes the cake pop fall off, normally I’d cool the chocolate down but when I do that the chocolate starts getting stiff, what do you think I should do?
My chocolate hardens quickly and it's thick which makes dipping challenging. What do you recommend? Your videos are so relaxing!! So happy I found your channel. Thank you!
are they done? Meaning were they baked? Sorry for the question bc seems like I've seen and had a cake pop that was baked and had a cake texture and then Ive tasted some where they were as if it was raw/mushy texture.
You bake the cake before until it is well cooked than you let it cool down but it isnt ras once you add frosting and mix it it get that texture somethimes but the cake has to be well cooked
I used wooden spoon margarine, I was substituting vegetable shortening because we don't have it in South Africa. If you have access to vegetable shortening that's what you can use or any other substitute depending where you are❤️
I'm trying to figure out what butter cream is. Someone please tell me. And... if the melted chocolate cools, it hardens. What am I missing here? Do you mean to just wait maybe one minute after removing from heat? Letting it cool would not work. I am ready to try these and yours are very pretty.
I used American buttercream dear ❤️ You just chill the chocolate not to be cold but just it's not too hot so that it sets quicker on your pops and avoid the cracking, I hope I am making sense.
@@cookwiththepolishedmama Does that mean butter cream frosting? That is the only thing I know of named butter cream and that is the "icing on the cake" . Do you by chance mean soft butter? or butter that has been stirred to become soft? This is what was not clear. Buttercream is the known name of a most common frosting. I have just bought all the supplies and am ready to get started
In order for your chocolate won't bend add 2 tsp to 1 tablespoon depends how much chocolate use unflavored coconut oil, that's what I use and it never bends
They're so pretty! I'm so glad that I chose to watch your video the night that I actually made cake pops, which was tonight LOL. I had watched some other videos before actually making them but I was glad I watched this one in the actual process. The only thing, I used whipped buttercream and now I'm not so sure I should have done that but it's my first time so we will have to see how it turns out
Leave it to cool down a bit, not cold but just it's not too hot to avoid it from cracking. And when chocolate is too hot it tends to be too thick and and leaving a very transparent coat on your cake pops.
It depends darl, when it's cold it quicker than when it's hot. You just chill it at room temp, the chocolate must move from bring hot to being lukewarm when you touch it with the tip of your finger ❤️
Wish I'd watched this before I made mine. They came out... unique.
Your tutorial is very soothing if that makes sense 🥰
Yes it makes sense 🙂 thank you ❤️

If you wait until the chocolate completely chills then won't it get hard before you can even use it?
I think she meant when you insert the stick, you want the chocolate on the stick to completely cool before you dip the whole pop
I am SO thankful I ran across your video. You gave pointers I have yet to hear. I'm about to emabrk on the cake pop making. I've been wanting to try them for so long now. This is the year, just in time for Valentine's day gifts. 💖
I love this! I just started my channel on chocolate covered sweets and I'm so excited to share all my ideas and skills :)
Nice!!💚💜💙💛🍰🍪🍫🍬🍭🍩🍩🍦🍨🍧🍧
I think a lolly pop stand would prevent the old flat shape at the top. It would be perfectly sphere shaped. Well done btw. Thank you for sharing.
Used a block of Styrofoam for mine ^_^ works perfectly
This is such wonderful video, now I believe I can make my cake pop perfectly

I have the same question about letting the chocolate cool...wont it be hard by then....and also do you chill your cake pops before dipping them?

Great tip my darling, thank you❤️ hope everyone takes note of the tip.
Saw another video where you can set the pop on a candy melt as a base. I prefer a perfectly rounded top and will set them in a holder to dry.
Hi, great video 😊 what do you apply before adding the gold dust please?
I feel like I found this channel before it blows up! Beautiful and helpful video. My 4 year old said she finds your video relaxing lol

Thanks! I loved your tutorial, I hope mine turn out as nice.

Thank you!

Add a small amount of coconut oil to the chocolate to thin it out.

Could yu please tell me, wether yu have used vegetable shortening for yur gold pop b4 applying the dust?
I used an alternative to vegetable shortening if you have access to vegetable shortening that's what you use hun.

Thanks for your video..one question did you freeze them before to put the chocolate? 🙋♀️
So that they are firm and hold the shape, I don't freeze but refrigerate ❤️
@@cookwiththepolishedmama thank you so much
How long are they good for
What type of brush to put on the gold powder? Can drizzle go over it then? can sprinkles? Will they stick?
I use normal painting brushes and yes you can drizzle on them and use sprinkles as well before the chocolate sets
@@cookwiththepolishedmama what did you put on before you applied the golf dust? you just said wooden bush but what kind of coat did you apply?

Hi what can I do for chocolate not to absorb oil after i dip or what can i use instead of oil when making cake mix
so beautiful and I love how u did different designs and showed how it is done. Job well done :)
Looks awesome 👍

My chocolate gets hard fast, any tips on keeping it smooth and melted?
Do you put the cake pops in the freezer or the refrigerator after you roll the balls?
Refrigerate ❤️

how do i get the sticks
Do you put your cake pops in the freezer or refrigerator to cook down or do you let your cake pops cool down at room temperature
How long are the cake pops good for at room temperature?
I don't understand how it can " completely chilled " it would be hardened at that point?
What type of food coloring did you use?
Gel food colour
how long does it take for the chocolate to re harden?
Why did u brush up before applying golden shimmer
So that the cake pops absorb the gold dust.
Hi can i use buttercream when am doing the cycles(pops)
Yes butttercream is what I used to make them as well. I mixed the cake with buttercream

Where can I buy the gold blush?
Do you have to wait until the chocolate cools down or you just dip it in as soon as the chocolate melted?

@@cookwiththepolishedmama Thank you so much for the reply!
In one comment you said don’t use store bought chocolate. So than what kind of white chocolate are you using dear or is it candy melts.
Yes I don't use store bought the chocolate I use it's similar to candy melts so candy melts will be your best shot if you have access to them.
@@cookwiththepolishedmama Thank you
How did your chocolate come out so thin?
How many price per one peace
what did you use to prep the gold one for the dust?
You can use vegetable shortening or any substitute to that ❤️
Is that a whole cake to the tablespoon of frosting?
It's not a whole cake but cut offs
You can’t let your chocolate completely cool before dipping because it will set.
The chocolate bends in the microwave?....oohhhh! The chocolate BURNS 🔥 in the microwave...hahaha i love your accent
