A really interesting and beautiful project. I'm surprised that they're even somehow managed to keep the 964 sound when listening to the car from the outside.
A Well resolved and executed proposition and testament to the capability of the 964 chassis to manage 400 plus bhp without major modification. On saying that, an essential component of the 964 is that it is air cooled and also an extremely capable and rewarding car in that form. With a few minor bolt on chassis and brake modifications it is a beautifully resolved drivers car. It really doesn’t need 415 bhp to make it special. Impressive modification but I can’t help that thinking that it comes at the the loss of a little of the original car’s soul.
YES, Yes and yes..... No mention of pricing, sending and inquiry this is very much something I have longed to see. An integrated marriage of the best of the 911 for me as an enthusiast. The water-cooled GT plant in a 964 or 993 body. This is a winning combo
This thing is awesome. Would like to see more about the installation. Other than the wheels which should be 964 RS wheels seems best 964 ever. Where are the radiators. Does it affect trunk space. Can they be installed in front of the front wheels.
Sorry if I've missed the point but why not just put a 3.8 or 4.0 air-cooled engine in it .HP figures won't be massively off and you won't have completely altered the weight distribution of the car or added unnecessary weight that comes with the rads and hoses and 10-20 litres of coolant ? Each to their own I guess as long as it float yet boat as they say.
I have a 964RS and a 997.2 3.8RS. Don’t really know who would pay the same amount to get the faster engine in the softer chassis… Just build a 3.8 for the 964 and leave the watercooled mezger ( not Metzger like you said ) in the 997. Also when you say the 3.6 wasn’t build to have the power up top and the 3.8 and 4.0 more towards so… well it is the opposite. 3.6 is rev happy and uptop power while 3.8 and 4.0 are more torque powerhouse without frenzy redline rush.
The level of engagement and aggression you can enjoy in a small shell on full tilt is two layers above the 997 gt3 RS and then you have the joy to have a charming surrounding of a classic. basically you can enjoy both cars at once😅
Amazing concept. But definitely needs a skilled pair of hands not to overload the rear axle on track. And the steering wheel could do with some refinement. Looks like straight from an arcade simulator.
You took a natural raw 964 chassis and added a beautiful raw 997 gt3 engine, yes! Beautiful, perfect. Then you added 8 way this, and blip shift that. You took a great idea and the best quality’s of two cars and convoluted it with a bunch of bs 8 way electric exhausts and electric shit. This is a car for a manic engineer not a driver.
This is the guy that thinks a 965 is a V8. When Porsche printed endless repair mechanicals stating the difference between 965 turbo and 964. Glad he has a better video here.
Open up the car please in your videos… way too much talking and way too little driving. Drive your test cars to or near the limit so the audience can feel how it performs
Wow what an amazing creation - and so different to all those 964 restomods 👌
Blood starts to boil at 8:40 to 09:28. great shifting and great gear blip ❤ love it
the down-shifts with auto-rev are goosebumps 😍
The upshifts hurt to watch. Dude needs to learn how to shift
@@leon199775yes thank you. I saw that blood boil comment and waited to comment. What the heck were those upshifts?

What a terrific idea and execution. Love it! 👏
Getting it past tuv must have been fun.
Thought it might have also included switchable damper modes? Love the 964 shape, clean and sharp, modern engine 👍
It seems a shame you can adjust a whole load of pointless things but not the one useful thing (8 exhaust settings?!)
@@bb0209Two is enough on my 996.
Brilliant car! I want one. Awesome job as always Lee. Happy New Year, Thomas
what an awesome piece of kit, great Vid , MCG.

Clearly a great job done by profecionals. Fantastic re engineered .
Wow! I didn't want to like this but its impossible not to.. (Also where ever that is, 9werks Roadtrip to there please..)
The perfect resto-classic Porsche with so much to offer. Happy New Year Lee.
What an astounding 911 👏
What a superb car they’ve created 🤩 What road was this in Germany Lee ? Thanks and Happy New Year 🎉
It is in the Bavarian Alps the road to Bayrischzell through the ski area.
@@Philipp-GTI thanks Philipp 🤘
That's a cool build and a perfect place to integrate a GT3 engine!
Absolutely!🔥🔥🔥
I was thinking about this, but they told me it couldn't be done. This is nice.Where is the radiator fitting at
Amazing car!❤
If Porsche made a modern car that looked like that today I'd have one.
Thanks for the nice video. I would be curious as to how Reen addressed the cooling issues.
This is the fully Iconic status!
What a car !!!

My thought exactly.
Did I miss the bit where you explained the cooling system?
The cooling systeem ,how it works?
Looks nice....bet it's bloody expensive though.
Great idea and superbly executed by the looks of things.
I bet it's 500k euro when it goes on sale, at minimum. And while it sort of a dream to have that setup, that's crazy money in the end
Maybe i missed it, but what's the A/C situation in this build? No sign of the compressor or is it electric?
Sorry that I spoiled the fun by being the 667th "like" as this car is wonderfully devilish! Cool video on it, cheers.
Sick!

My 996 is VERRRY jealous 🖤🖤🖤😊
And here I am fantasizing about air-cooled swapping my 996. 🤔
Noooo, the 996 is wonderful 😊
What does the conversion cost?
Real nice swap
20:52 3000 revs at 74
What is the estimated cost of these cars?
No "t" in "Mezger" and no "a" in "PorschE"... 😉
More like an “uh” as the second syllable of Porsche, according to my half German wife.
Best sounding Porsche engine yet no cold start in video?
Dream car how much is something like this?
Without knowing the price it's difficult to quantify this proposition.
Epic ❤
Would love to send them my 91 964 , I am sure we are talking lots a doughnuts.
Nice 917 nod with the gear knob.

That cable hanging down on my legs would absolutely ruin the experience for me. Cool car overall, though probably intelligence-insultingly expensive.
Take a car selling for around the hundred thousand mark and turn it into a car selling for around the one million one hundred thousand mark. Right.
Yes Lee, and is it air cooled or water cooled?

POV ON AUTOTOPNL
Wow , but now much ?
Just buy a 997 RS... Better in every single way.
964 = Most beautiful? Nope

A watercooled engine in an aircooled 911. I was a little bit sick in my mouth 🤮🤮🤮
Less talking and more engine sounds.. offer a video without your narration please…I am sure you will get more views
