You play fallout 4 like I do...I spend hours decorating. At the end of my gaming session, my character always goes home and puts on a bathrobe and sits in front of the tv...and that's where I save the game.😊
That's how I have always imagine the junk fense should look after the first I made it to diamond city. I was a little disappointed that I couldn't match that build. Thank you for the hints and tricks.
Btw Im not 100% on it but the "spot light glitch" isn't really a glitch, they are set to turn on when your settlement is under attack, when you first install them they light up until you leave the settlement or go to sleep and a load screen happens. So the spot lights not running 24/7 is part of the programming. I hope this helps, keep the awesome Fallout 4 videos coming! You're my favorite teacher!

The only builds that i used the junk fences for were for Jamaica plain and the Murkwater construction sites as minutemen bases/outposts. They turned out really well!

amazing! this was the lesson I was most curious about from watching your amazing tour! I find it really cool that at 4:08 right when you are mentioning the minor interval lapse you can see the lapse on screen and it is basically uninterrupted.

This is awesome! And the smoke effect can be used for a bunch of other cool ideas. And yeah, those ugly red plants. I love the mut-tree idea. What I usually do is place a pillar in the middle of them and glitch in a cycling light. Or a track light to lighten it up. The weeds look much better when lit.

Hey I've got a suggestion (if you don't already have seats in the skooled bus) for the skooled bus you could put airplane seats in it because it has seat belts and they look like seats you'd find in a bus
Hi Skooled you probably remember me :) this would've been useful (I'm sure it had been to many people) but I had a mod that made that a huge improvement to every cooking station.
Damn, the mutfruits in those ugly bushes is a nice idea. Even scrap mods have problems to scrap those bushes. And I mostly avoid scrap mods because of the precombined meshes in the game. By the way, I don't know if it's in the vanilla game aswell: After activating the workshop in Croup Manor, after some time there will be a non-hostile ghoul near the workshop. I put a grill in front of him, so he is just the chef. He's the Barbeghoul. ;-) As I said, I don't know if it's in the vanilla game aswell, because I have so many mods installed, could be an "issue" coming with one of those mods.

I've just had a massive binge of this series.....such great ideas that I will definitely be using!!!!!Any ideas for how to build a functioning looking sauna in a settlement? My friend is finnish and would love to make a sauna in her sanctuary! A bit of real home in fallout home!
Actually, using this smoking grill concept, you could put a couple of the smoking flamethrowers in the walls around a small wooden room with benches and it would look like steam. Add a couple of red lights to make it look like heat. In fact, I literally did the "opposite" of that with the cryo-chambers in my UFO build by adding blue lights and making it look like frost: ua-cam.com/video/5zJH11pjWEU/v-deo.html

There’s a cooking pot that fits over the camp fire. No need to glitch the fire pit if you have the pot.

I tried the fire barrel actually, but when you sink it really far in the ground the flames disappear.
Hey Paul, this doesn't really pertain to this video, but I've been trying to floor in the top part of the main settlement building in Jamaica Plain (the one you made into a school house), and I'm kind of having trouble getting it to work. So do you have any tips or advice? I'd really appreciate it.
CT Bullet I used the staircase with the small floor pieces in the wood section. line it up with the front corner closest to the house to make everything even. then use warehouse floors to fill in the floor. the warehouse floors overlap on each other easily. just rotated them and walk around a little while trying to place them till they snap. Commonwealth Construction is right about the technique. You just gotta jimmy one of the floor pieces in there and the rest will snap into place. Sometimes I have to rotate them as I move to get them to snap.
Sometimes i get it go snap from underneath. Go down to the lower floor, look up and rotate.
So I guess you could say you threw this video under the bus? LOL😂

Hey Skooled Zone, i recently discovered that you can go against the build limit by dropping an item, then storing it in workshop, i just drop all my guns then store them, as one on is stored, it allows you to place another object, easily repeatable. Hopefully this helped

on my spectacle island build it sometimes will not register how many actual beds or water I have and also I ran into that same glitch you had a few episodes ago where it was selecting a turret when I was trying to wire
It would be nice to be able to remove the weeds that show through even with concrete flooring.

You should use the place anywhere mod just to save yourself the hassle of rug glitching. We will still know you can do these things with the rug glitch if we had to.
What part of 'No Mods' don't you understand???
There are locations where the Place Anywhere mod for PS4 causes the game to crash, or it just doesn’t work right. So you still need the rug and pillar glitches.
LordRicherd The part that would make it just easier overall and its just as much cheating or using a "mod" as the rug glitch.

Oh, and good luck with building more "crustic". That's what I'm trying to do too. Deleted a 50 day playthru, 1000hrs of which were spent building sanctuary in a way that no longer pleases me. I know its a challenge to stop thinking the way u naturally do.

Really appreciate you saying so. I actually have to do a lot of tweaking to the audio in post to make it sound decent because of the mediocre mic I use. A better mic would save a lot of that hassle and allow me to make videos faster.

Partly from the _Fortune Finder_ perk, partly from collecting caps from the workshops of my settlements that have shops set up, and partly from never really needing to spend money on stuff except building supplies. ;-)

No mods, definitely... No dlcs though? That's a tough one. Even the powered doors started with the Wasteland Workshop dlc.

I believe those came from the Nuka World DLC after you visit the Gulch.
You could also use this to look like an engine for decoration idyl up don’t want the annoying motor sounds

That's true, but not all settlements have spawn points inside the settlement boundary. Only a few.
They're all wearing bandanas to block out the smell too.
I know you don't use mods. But if you were to ever use say 2 mods, scrap everything and place any where are worth getting & using.
Totally agree. If I were ever to use mods, those two would be the first I'd use out of the gate.

hey i love your videos but i have to say that i tried to use the rug glitch and pole glitch and it doesn't work anymore i don't know if that is because of an update or what but no matter how hard i try it just won't work for me please help me understand it better and thanks
I ran into similar problems when I started using certain mods, so I just uninstalled the mods and it worked again.

I know that there are some here who may not like this next comment. However, I use mods. I love 'em.
That being said, I LOVE your classes.
Even though I use mods, like Place Anywhere, I still learn a lot from you.
For example, after watching this video, I thought that would be nice to make a BBQ with a flame searing the meat.
In Sanctuary Hills, I grabbed one of the orange barbecues laying around and brought it to my character's home.
Then, with Wasteland Workshop installed, I built a campfire (using 1-wood and 1-oil).
Once it was built on the ground I grabbed it and engaged the Place Anywhere mod which pulls up an option to resize the item we have grabbed/built.
I shrank it down -4 (the mod gives you the option to shrink it -1 or -5. So for -4, just resize it 4 times. :-D ).
After resizing it, I grabbed the campfire, and using Place Anywhere again (although one could use the pillar glitch here) I placed the campfire inside the barbecue.
It looks great! One can even see what looks like charcoal briquettes from the shrunken firewood.
But, and this is important, I hadn't thought of doing that, or even 'Building Multiple Sleeping Beds' (You know, like bunk beds, or king-size beds for two NPCs to lay next to each other) without YOUR classes.
So I may use some building mods, but I get great ideas from you and your channel. And they give me ideas as to how to build them.
So thank you *very* much.

That's what I like to hear Nikita! I never tell people not to use mods. I just don't use them for my gameplay so everyone can do what I do without needing them if they don't want 'em. 👍
