Can tell he is not begging for likes or acceptance like these other youtubers he is all business and it shows. Makes a stark contrast to see this young man with such a clear focus vs the previous owner of the car who was doing balloons and all sorts of madness, probably someone who had a good job and lost control of his life due to bad decisions. • @veritas487
      @veritas487 2 роки тому

      I hear ya Levi. I freak out if I get busy & my car goes 100 miles over my scheduled oil change. It's a good feeling however when I sell my cars and I tell the new owner to take it to the mechanic of their choice before they buy it. I currently have a 2008 Lexus LS460 with close to 300k miles and my oil labs still come back perfect. Car has never missed a scheduled service. Trying for 500k miles before new engine/trans swap. I figure if I have to replace them plus new paint job/interior I may have $30-35k into it and it's once again a close to new car. Good luck getting anything decent for that price nowadays.
      Best 2023 to you Levi. Cheers!

    I don't know if anyone else has posted this, but virtually all Ford diesels are collaborations with Peugeot. That's why older Jaguar X-types and Land Rovers had a 2.2 diesel whereas later ones had a 2.0 JLR motors. It costs so much to develop new engines that most are collaborations. Merc A-Class 1.4 has a Renault power unit and their small van IS a Renault. Common Rail was a FIAT invention that ended up being finished off by Bosch. Cummins and IVECO developed 4, 5 & 6 litre truck engines, in fact Cummins bought out IVECO's engine making company a few years ago.

    JLR aren't the only guys that use engines from other car manufacturers. Bmw use Peugeot engines in some of their mini and the 1 series. Mercedes benz use Renault engines in some of their entry-level cars. Vauxhall used the m51 2.5 diesel bmw engine in the omega. Ford used the volvo t5 engine in there focus st. Lots of car manufacturers use engines from one another. Lots of joint ventures within the motor industry hence the sharing of engines and chassis in some cases..

    How you guys make sense of where everything goes back after stripping the engines amazes me. Hope you made a good profit, and hope the next user got a great 🚗 👍

    I know you said ignore the warning lights but one of them was oil pressure! Can kill an engine in seconds if it has no oil pressure

      and I believe that was the reason why the engine blew . my brother engine blew at 30k . it over rev itself untill we couldn't switch the engine off untill a loud bang and the engine shut down . that was the end for that engine . the struggling part is ,the car is overseas and I have to buy a complete engine from here Birmingham uk to send it over

    Fair do’s to you and your team, you know your stuff! Respect.
    I’m running a fully loaded D300 (300bhp) Velar, 22’s, black pack, R-Dynamic etc…love it!
    I do worry about the reliability though, it’s under extended warranty at the moment.

      That’s exactly what I was going to buy around 2 months ago but less time for new cars are over a year and one thing stopped me from buying it and it’s reliability issues , I ended up buying a different brand

    Yep you could buy that rang here in Canada for prolly $3000, my buddy brought one running autobiography with air bag failure and to repair that costed him over $15000 he ended up reselling it for $5500,.
    I repaired my audi S4 under $200 mechanic's here were charging over $2500 simple issue head gasket leak and tune up, after fixing it I traded for E55amg fix the E55 drove it winter then trade it for 2017 C43 amg.
    I'm done with it now 2yrs need a GLS63 or if I can afford G63.

    From 2012 onwards brother, Land rover use ford engines mainly. Im sure this one is the 3.0 tdv6 ? These engines are quite solid but going from timing chains to belt is one of downgrades they’ve done
