Ordered this from Atlantic British here in the US and the whole process was quick and easy to do for my 2004 Discovery II. Thanks to this video’s help, and reading the comments, I took apart my old key with the missing lock button. My wife and I switched out the interior parts and I took it to Ace, a near-by hardware store, who correctly cut the new key and also had a replacement battery. I was all set!
Many thanks. I had bought a replacement key because my remote stopped unlocking the car even though it would still lock it, nearly got stranded a few times. I thought I’d have to get the new one cut and reprogrammed or something until I watched your video. So I got my original apart and realised there was nothing wrong with the internals, just the little rubber spigot inside that presses the tiny switch had got squished over. So all I had to do was swap everything over to the new case and now it works fine! Brill! Thanks again.
At 1.20 It is a good idea to turn the circuit board over, take a good photo of the info label Code and date . save and print to your owners manual/documents. 👍👍
I've got the same key, same brand Valeo. I tried this method to remove my key from the fob with a pair of pliers but was unsuccessful & ended up putting the ky in a vice which worked but in turn it left the bit of black plastic on the end of the key inside the fob. This happened to both my keys. Can you please advise why my key didn't remove from the fob successfully like yours? Thanks.

Tried getting the key section out with a pair of pliers without joy. That thing is stuck in there fast. I wish my key section came out that easy. :(
just baught a land rover discovery 2 2003 but only got the basic keys no fobs how and were can I get the alarm keys cause it does have the stock alarm

Have you been able to find a way to change out the battery in an LR3 key? i have the long flip key, with lock, unlock and panic (Land Rover)
