Dude. This video is so concise! Thank you for the tips. I just got metal on accident through a good deal and I was on the fence but this convinced me to keep the metal for my display, and go with standard for the inside of my gear closet!
The magnets are a good idea, but you will have to buy a bunch of them. Now if you can figure out how to magnetize the board, that might be interesting. Please let us know if you figure it out.
Do you know a way to prevent the longer hooks from bending downward? I use a pegboard that has slots instead of holes and I have some shelves on there. The brackets holding the shelves up always bend downward just as you described and I can’t find a way to stabilize it.
Wow...I was skeptical you could 15 in 3 mins but not only did you do it well, they were great points, informative, and didn't feel fanboyish on one side or the other. Great video, really appreciate it!
this is an awesome video! thank you for not only listing the reasons, but also explaining/visualizing them. super clear & concise, thank you!!
Another benefit to metal is magnets! I use magnets to mount things like my tape measure or metal rulers for convenient access.
Yeh modern magnets are very strong and cheap.
I really appreciate that you get right to the point. I don’t want to hear a person’s “personal story”. LOL

So glad you could find it useful, thank you for letting us know.
You saved my project. No instructions in box or online. Thanks. So the spacer or guide gets pressed into the pegboard flush?
I put the little round neodymium magnets behind the hooks. Holds them super steady. Wondering now if it’s possible to magnetize the whole board?

Great video man 👍

You know there is a problem with your fundamental construction methods when pegboards can add structural integrity. Hello!
