Thanks a ton for doing this up-close review. I've been eyeing this system but was a bit skeptical with only the grainy photos on the Lowe's product page. Thanks to this vid, I can see that the product seems pretty sturdy.
My sister gave me a Wall Control System. I finally bought a place with a workshop, and yesterday I got the boards mounted. She also gave me two boxes of accessories. Can't wait to start organizing. Tools are better than clothes any day of the week! What girl needs a closet when she can have a she shed?
im noticing bolt holes between panels vertically on my system, do you feel any need to attach panel to panel? I would assume 6 screws into the studs is sufficient. thank you for the review
I would not say this has a major advantage to standard pegboard. Standard pegboard and the hanging accessories are cheaper by far, and a piece of pegboard is easily customizable to fit any space.
Did you reuse any old holes from pegboard or just drill into "new" wood for everything? I'm new to DIY and will be installing either something like this or slatwall to replace existing pegboard from previous owner of new house and I'm going back and forth to decide what I should get.
I was wondering how traditional pegs hang on these boards. It would seem the metal is thinner than a normal peg board so the hooks might hang at an angle. Is that the case?
traditional hangers (ones meant for 1/4" boards) lean forward quite a bit. This system is much thinner and the back of the hook won't grab it like a normal board. Still trying to find hooks that are meant for this
Would anyone be able to help me. There's specific stuff I want to order from the wallcontrol website but they don't deliver to the UK, would anyone be willing to let me deliver to your US address then I can arrange postage to UK from there?
Why do people who make these videos feel like they have to do an "unboxing" before showing the product? Just show the product and what it does and why I should buy it! The "unboxing" is stupid and a waste of my time, hell I can figure out how to "unbox" something and put it together myself. Please stop this nonsense!
All well shown and I got some already and need to add 2 more Panels. Good product and is very strong. Australia does like it but hates the old style wooden flimsy stuff from years gone by.
The downside to the wall control pegs is that they are expensive. $7 for a pack of 4 pegs where conventional pegs are $10 for a gagillion (aka about 100). If they had larger packs for a better price I’d be more willing to invest into the pegs. It’s nice you don’t have to frame the boards and that they are a lot more sturdy which is why I bought the wall control boards. The slotted pegs are a little more than I’d like to invest into with as much crap as I need to hang.
Hey brother. Friendly tip...the FTC is really cracking down. Check their regs ASAP. The disclosure that you got free product must come right away or you could get fined. You can do that as an overlay on this video. For the description, that'd need to come first. Loved the video.

Nice vid, need some in my new shop area
So where the 2 panels meet in the middle of 1 stud is there enough room to get each panel screwed into 1 stud?
If you center them just perfectly yes. I had to angle the screws on both sides on a few of mine
Good video! Which of the kits are you showing?
Thank you!
amzn.to/2FPiEHi 2 of these.
Hell I’d stuff insulation behind those panels why not

No need at all. I actually am hanging 3 panels by just two screws per panel (because of the stud position, and it’s working fine.
Your friend Tom looks like QB Kurt Warner.
haha. i'll let him know.
Looks like a good idea for my gun room.
would be great for a gun room.
I was planning on issuing this for a camper van... do u think rattle is gonna be an issue
the metal is secured solidly to the wall so not there. But the items banging on the pegboard would be.

These have 3 holes one either side to attach to the wall. Ideally you’d want it in the studs, but it comes with drywall anchors also

traditional pegs work fine on it. Havent had it bend like that, even with a 3lb hammer on it.

Take a SHOT every time he says WALL CONTROL 🤣🤣🤣
I'm not a drinking man.

I love mine. Really makes the neighbors jealous!
lol. yep! Everyone thinks this stuff is the bees knees, and it is!
Able to help me measure the protruding length of the storage box after mounted on the pegboard? Limited space.
5 1/2"
Nice video 👍🏽
Thank you!
it's not aluminum
what is it.
Galvanized
great review thank you
your welcome! I love this stuff!

One more thing, sorry. Why is it call a "wall control" when it is nothing more than a pegboard, wooden or metal. It is what it is!
It’s a market term. Like Packout for Milwaukee or a thousand other items. You are obviously miserable with your life

they are expensive but they're the last ones you'll ever buy.
get creative? I used curtain hooks for my wrenches, works fine and do not fall off. $2 for a bag of 18
You can still use regular pegs with this one. They tend to fall off though.
When you first started talking you said they were aluminum they are not . I asked the company they said they are not aluminum.
What did they say they were made of?
@@MyersWoodshop on amazon it says galvanized steel
@@MyersWoodshop it is steel. They specifically say it accepts magnets
Tom looks 8ft tall lol
It’s not hard to standing next to me 😂😂
Take a magnet it will not stick to aluminum.
i plan on covering the back wall of my shop with this stuff. i figured 11 feet by 4 feet would be plenty of real estate for tools.
For sure. The shelving options really give a lot more space!

They sound noisy.
When you say "my friend" do you really mean "my lover" ?
Once in college
I’ve had dibs on him since 5th grade bro. He’s so dreamy!🥰😍
Interesting system.
I've really enjoyed this peg board. its much better than your standard stuff.
Nice video, annoying music!
sorry Katie. At least you can turn the music down.
