Hi - I wanted to add that now that I have installed this trim kit and placed the Espar BL4 M2, its obvious to me that using this trim is the only way to fit this heater under the seat. Super happy and impressed with this part. I did have to order the "blank" version since our finished floor is about 1.75". But cutting a custom hole location was easy. Also you need to allow customer reviews on you website store so we can praise your great stuff directly ! Clever work guys - and thank you !
The white lab coat is great. When scrolling through dozens of vids, you see a AVG vid and think hey I know this guy. Great marketing trick and amazing videos.
Hi - I had to order a "blank" trim and I just finished swing out the opening for the heater outlet. Really nice part guys! Our floor insulation was so much that the floor height partially blocked the standard hole location.
Another great video and very timely. We just received our Espar this week and need to install it. I saw you have a left and right vent placement Espar box on your website. If this is a fresh install, should I get the one that places the vent closer to the drive seat?
Yes. We install them on the side I showed here in the video and that’s the side I recommend. We do a lot of repairs to improperly installed units and I see some of them on the passenger side, so we wanted to offer a trim kit for those folks.
Very good product. I will be ready to install a Espar Heater under my Transit van in about a month. Are you going to follow this up with the full Espar installation video? I would love to see it? I am sure many other people would as well.
Super nice product & video! What's the diameter of the vent hole? 90mm? I have a propex and wondering if I can adapt this for the propex which has a 95 mm (~3.75") hot air outlet. Thx.
Are you going to make a version for Webasto as well? Would love to have that option. Or even a version that has no holes at all and then I can cut the holes myself.
Excellent video as usual. The ESPAR is on my list when I get to that point but I have a question on wall panels. I just cut, fitted and installed all my 1/4” plywood wood wall and ceiling panels. Now I’m gonna take them down, reupholster them with foam and fabric and reinstall them. My joints are butted together very tight for a nice fit but I’m thinking after I adhere the fabric and foam the joints might not fit because they’re too tight so my question is. How big of a gap do you recommend between the plywood panel joints to allow room for the fabric and foam?
We offer this trim in 5 different configurations. We do offer a blank that you can drill out to fit your Webasto heater. If you email the shop with your diameter of the ducting we can let you know what would be the best selection.
It can definitely be done later in your build. I recommend pre wiring 12g to the seat do you have the power there when you’re ready. You can order a thermostat wire to pre wire too if you want to be a full pro.

Thanks 👍 that was the idea for sure!
Top notch video!
Thanks! That’s high praise coming from the Dustin Klein. 😁
Great video. Thanks for posting. My Espar arrived yesterday. Cut the hole today. No problems. Followed your placement recomendation.
Great to hear!
Great video 👌🏻
Does it work with the newest version Espar ?
Is a 2kw sufficient in a medium roof in freezing temps? Or should I get the 4kw ?
🙏
Can you do a follow up to this where to relocate the Inverter?
That’s a good idea. I’ll put it on the list. We just mount it on the inside of the seat base towards the drivers side.

Damn thats super clean! I am going to have to check my vent orientation after watching this. Is it possible to change it once installed?
We’re going to offer a right side version as well.

Do you know what the torque specs are for the seat base bolts and the seat bolts?

I’m trying to get Espar to sponsor one.

I’m designing a few variations. I can double check size Monday, but either way I can make one to fit your propex.

Yea we will be. We got a number of requests and will be getting them into production over the holidays.
We have a 2017 mid roof transit. What do you charge for the purchase of the appropriate Espar heater and installation?

I only add foam to the faces and don’t wrap the edges. The fabric wraps all the panels around the edges. I’d leave 1/8 -3/16 between panels.
@@AVCRIG Thank you. 👊🏻
Will this trim peoce work with the Webasto??

How do I purchase this trim piece?
Can the Espar be added at any point in the build? Or is it easier/better to do before the subfloor and vinyl?
It can definitely be done later in your build. I recommend pre wiring 12g to the seat do you have the power there when you’re ready. You can order a thermostat wire to pre wire too if you want to be a full pro.
