Damn, sitting here watching possibly one of my all time favorite phones ever. Damn I miss shamu! Such a great overall device! Wow this vid is a throwback
Can you do a full Lollipop walkthrough? BUT specifically can you just go through all the updated apps with material design. All the walkthrough's I have seen just go to like settings and the app drawer and don't actually show the apps. I would love to see what the calendar, gmail, clock, etc. and more look like IN DEPTH!

Hi MKBHD, thanks for all the great work and videos that you do. You really help us spend our $$$ wisely. Would love to know more about the camera and how it compares to the Iphone6, specially in low light. cheers.
Id really like to see an actual comparison of the speakers on this phone compared to other flagships. The dual front facing speakers on this phone and the fact that Samsung has taken a step backwards by putting the (single) speaker on the back of the Note 4 is a huge let down in my book. Not to mention, from what Ive heard on the Note 4 playing with it in person, the speaker is very tinny and sounds awful. Deciding to go from my Note 3 to either the Note 4 or the Nexus 6 is proving to be an extremely hard decision. The fact that T-mobile is going to push an update to enable Wifi calling on the Nexus 6 soon after its release is a huge sigh of relief, but makes my decision that much harder! Now I just have to decide if losing the stylus is worth it...
How many times will you really use the phone speaker? I never use it ever. I always have earbud plugged. I have a Bluetooth set that's binaural. Or if you want loud sound at home, Bluetooth speakers provide excellent quality. The only thing Nexus 6 has going for it is Android 5 out of the box. The Note 4 will receive Android 5 in just a few weeks.
Its called the nexus 5. It wouldnt make sense for google to make a smaller version when the nexus 5 is already the smaller version. it would just be dumb like what apple is doing with there iphone
Kaipo Fitisemanu yes agree. This is the bigger version of the moto x 2014. It's not the other way around. Although the nexus 5 is also still relevant it you'd ask me.
Can we get a sound test please? Im heavy into media and would like to hear what those speakers sound like coming from Note 3 with the stupid bottom speaker. Thanks and keep up the great job!
Unbelievable that you care about such little things. Like oooooh Supermarket 1 also has an own brand which make dino macaroni, which supermarket 2 already had years ago! OOOOOOOOH
Great to see your hand has recovered! Keep up the good work and btw i personally enjoy unboxings, to those that do not, i would advise to just not watch them. No one's forcing you to click on the videos that have "unboxing" in the title.
Don't start doing pointless unboxings. I subscribed to you over other reviewers because you didn't waste my time showing me a box, a tiny booklet, a charger and cable.. these come with every electronic item you buy. One unboxing video basically covers every device you can buy. Just carry on with the informative reviews please.
sashundera91 ***** I wanted to see the hands on - which is also in the title. That's why I watched the video. The unboxing part is a waste of time in my opinion. Geez. Didn't realize nobody had an entitlement to have an opinion anymore. I must've missed that law being passed!
I hate when people have the logic of "if you upload it I am going to watch it" and then complains about uploading a video thats uploaded that you can easily tell you wont like by the title.
zach burke again, as I said already. I wanted to see Marques' hands on. So I watched the video. To see his first impressions. I didn't say I didn't like the video, just that I enjoy his content because he doesn't do unboxings. Now I have to sit through one to see the part I was waiting to see. You're misunderstanding my comment.
Try this: while you are still on kk google google now launcher apk. Find the apk and have it on your phone. After lollipop update, try installing it :) might work
I'm not sure how I feel about android lollipop yet. I like some things, such as the animations, notification shade, overall performance, but I'm not really feeling the look of the new app tray. I also don't care for the new home, back, and multi tasking buttons. It would've been nice to see google let us tweak aspects of our ui in the settings the way cyanogen does on the one plus one. This is the first time that I've been hesitant to do an android upgrade on my nexus 7 and KitKat is working just fine for me.
Soham Bapat I'm currently running cyanogen mod, so hopefully they work out some of the quirks of stock android. I like the fact that they implemented a remove all button in the recent app screen while Google has yet to do so. I don't use the two finger pull down that often since it is currently used to view you quick toggles.
incen koji I think he did give the lag a quick mention because its something to do with touchwiz isnt it? That doesnt bother me too much, all phones lag anyway lol
The only thing that is missing from this phone to me is multi-windows and Moto Maker. Other than that, I really like this phone. Coming from a Samsung guy, this would be my first Nexus. The multi-windows aspect of it is a lot to give up though.
I just would like to watch a video of you going through all the cool animations and small details of Android L. Just watching this small snippet has me so excited for the upgrade.
Please play some games to see how the phone performs. Not just games like Candy Crush that you can run on a potato, but some of the more CPU and GPU intensive games like the Infinity Blade series. Gaming is quickly becoming one of the things people spend the most time doing on their phone, but no reviews take the time to cover it.
I haven't used the earphones I've gotten with my last 3 phones and honestly if you have that much for a phone I'm sure an extra $30 for a decent pair of earphones isn't much of an issue.
You should do all the new devices unboxing. You can unbox and then tell all these super helpful impressions that you say in all your videos. This way you will make videos longer! By the way nice video! :)
This nexus ruined it for me. I really really wanted an upgrade to my N5 but this is just too huge. I just wish that google would have kept the size of the Nexus 5 and just gave it a better camera lens and a bigger battery. So far those are the only complaints I have on the Nexus. Apart from that its perfect. The nexus 6 shouldn't be a called a nexus. Its no longer a phone, nor is it cheap...
Ibraheem Mughul Yes they can, the device could be a little thicker. Or potentially battery technology has improved and you may be able to get more mah for the size.
Like the above comment says, for the specs.. the Nexus 6 is pretty cheap. You get a very good deal. I think Google released the 6 just to show that yes, they can make a top of the line flagship phone just like any other manufacturer can. 'Cause lets be honest, every Nexus device that was released, was always mediocre in specs, but did things well. Now the Nexus 6 is a beast, and does things super well altogether. So now you have mid-level Nexus 5, or a top tier Nexus 6 to choose from. It works out.
I would like to see a thorough look on in your upcoming review video for Nexus 6 - 1. Navigation speed - In apps, general menus, settings etc. 2. Performance - E.g. How much time to open heavy apps (in general) and any glitches or stutters (if any) 3. New Material Design Interface - Shortcuts, tweaks, animations, buttons and customization (if any) 4. Camera improvements - As Android L promises great improvements in this department 5. Battery Life - QuadHD Display vs. Android L battery life promises Thanks MKBHD !! I find your reviews always good !! Thorough review awaited !! Thanks Again.
coming from iPhones for the past 4-5years after just over a week with my nexus 5 i love the touch screen buttons a whole lot more! Also having 3 buttons instead of the iPhone's 1 is much better
Yeah seriously one you use it for a bit you don't even mind it. I used samsung phones for a while and switched to a lg g3 and thought i wouldn't like the non physical home button, but now that i've had the phone for months i don't even care.
Diehard Samsung user here and I've been sticking with Samsungs because of this reason. I had the One S and the Sensation but I didn't get the M7 because of the unremovable battery and it lacks expandable storage, but that's a different story. Didn't think about getting the M8 because of the on screen keys. Recently, I've contemplated only the OnePlus One as a T-Mobile non-Samsung cell phone. Regardless, I will say that I've used tablets before and the on screen keys do not bother me because the screen is so huge. And the Nexus 6 is an inch smaller than the 7, so that's huge. Thus, I wouldn't really mind losing some of the screen on such a huge phone, nor would I mind on the G3. The Nexus 4, 5, and M8 though? That'd piss me off.
***** Why wont iSheeps like you just STFU and let android do what they want. ITS A BOX FFS! And with you logic every company that uses white boxes is copying just please stfu.
***** Why you show the same link the second time? And yes, maybe Android copied some things from Apple, but theres the other side too. Like this appleinsider.com/articles/13/01/03/apple-applies-for-ios-notification-center-patent-years-after-googles-notification-bar (tl;dr)
Don't feed the troll. He's doing this for attention and you're giving it to him. Edit: No one really copies anyone. Competition fuels the industry to become more innovative and advanced. This also means that the two OS's will use eachother's ideas sometimes.
This, Iphone 6 Plus or Note 4 or Oneplus? (Money not issue, am arab, very rich. Much oil) just want best phone to play game where plane go boom against building in hd graphics, must not lag. Regards abdullah abdoorakasshoor ebrahim.
What they copied? Like does the iPhone have big 6 on the box? No?! Gp cry to your mommy Crapple Fanboy. So know if Crapple makes iPhone box white, no other manufacturer should make boxes white so we dont hurt the fellings of Crapple Fanboys! C'mon!
Awesome *****! Always look forward to your videos and this was another great one. Who else noticed how beautiful the Moto X looked just out of focus there?
a brand new phone and i still see some lags.... oh yeah that's android :) if you didn't notice it that's because you are used to laggy shitty android phones hahaha and the all white box reminds me of something.. p.s. ..... why are there no headphones in the box? and reviewers complain about the ipads come with no headphones!!
The phone lagged because it was its first boot, and u can't compare iOS with android since iOS is optimized for a certain hardware while android is compatible with tons of hardware with different specs. They probably removed the headphone to cut the price a bit.
BigMo But the Nexus 6 cost 650 dollars which is 300 dollars more than the nexus 5 man so why the hell didn't the big price increase include headphones?!
Shakil Zaman Motorola. It's really the manufacturer that determines the cost of the phone. I remember the earlier Nexuses... Nexusi,.. Nexi? were all a bit more expensive because they were made by HTC and Samsung. LG was just willing to sell at extremely low margins and I think it was the right choice given their gain in the market...
BigMo Well.. this is google's only phone with their specifications and it is running their stock os.. so it should be at least smooth. besides i don't see any price cut here. the price almost doubled from last year's nexus! cut the price = make more money.. good job google!
SACC GRZ I'm not comparing it to any other os.. i'm just saying that those animations cause the phone to lag sometimes unlike what google said that it will run at 60 fps all the time!
Google shoulda stuck with LG or gone to sony for this one im afraid, this thing looks ugly.... like an overly stretched moto x, was expecting something good after seeing the good designs and owning a nexus 4 and the quite nice design on the 5... Glad I didn't go nexus this time.
problem is its so similar t what is already out there that there is nothing new and refreshing about it, was really looking forward to seeing the design but I cant help but be disappointed.
So, I might not be the first or last to say, but I will be one to do it anyway... Welcome back newly fixed Space Grey normal model previously broken right hand! Glad to see the cast is off, my friend. Good to have you back in proper order. :) :D
whys it so expensive...what can it do that the nexus 5 cant? i still watch porn, talk to friends, text, browse the web at high nice speeds wtf is the point of upgrading for 2x the cost?
nexus 5 can do everything that a smart phone should do which is the things that u commented but if you get a phone like this youll have a better experience
from what ive seen youd have to be a fool to buy this when the 5 is half the price and does the same thing. can someone point something out that shows that im wrong? as far as the wallet goes 5>>>>>6. google is just turning into apple. ppl make fun of ppl who upgrade their 5 to 5s and so on since its so expensive and hardly a difference but this is even worse because not only is there hardly a difference but the price jump is huge lmao
i find it interesting that iPhones don't do this, not even if you just started them. i'm not saying it makes it better or anything, just find it interesting that apple probably has some kind of optimalization code. sometimes I suspect my iphone of not reacting rather than stuttering, like if it feels that it's in a situation that it would stutter, it rather not react at all and make you try again :)
Every powerful phone is 5 to 6 inches big, which is totally unhandy. You have to buy all these "Mini" or "Compact" versions, which aren't even half as powerful. What are these companies thinking?!? This is just ridiculous...
James Guevara LOL was just about to say that. The only draw back is the 720p screen (drawback for spec junkies). From the videos the 720p screen looks pretty good and the rest of the specs are top notch.
wow youre not really smart. its a LOT harder to make powerful but compact devices, bigger chips, heat problem, bigger battery etc etc. Thats why bigger devices are more powerful ones. Any logic there? Sony Z3c is cutting edge of technology actually, its a miracle how Sony packed all those features in small size.
My biggest questions/concerns with this device are *camera quality *battery life as daily driver *does it suffer from overheating like the g3 *reception quality (I noticed nexus devices tend to get lower quality reception than other devices on the same network) Great job with the video and keep up the good work
I hate the design. Its a bigger moto x... the design of the 5 was beautiful. It wasn't made of metal, but it was really slick and looked awesome. This... i just don't get it. There's not much originality in there. People won't even know you're using a nexus until they see the big ass name in the back
Do you see the trend here with boxing? Many manufacturers are going for the "minimalist" boxing of their products. No identity, no real design. Just white and a "cool" number on the box. Pathetic. Its just a way to push costs down and screw customers out of a little more money.
Why do u care so much about the box it comes in. What ur buying is the product inside the box, why waste time making an elaborate design for a little cardboard box that's gonna get thrown in the trash anyway
Idk about you but I think lots of people just throw there box away once they take everything out of it...I know I do I throw the box at the wall and play with my phone hahaa
Front and rear camera quality (especially low light performance) is a very important feature for me considering this device. I would appreciate a lot of detail in this area of your review. Owning an aging Nexus 4 for 2 years, the camera has been my biggest problem with the device.
***** Just got mine and it is fragging great, thank god I went for it over this monstrosity, 6 inches is just to damn big. The other people who says it feels outdated are spoiled brats.
***** it's amazing! So far the battery is unbelievable!!! I'm at 4 hours screen on time, with 54% left! It's a little big, moving from the Nexus 5 but I'll deal with it. Performance is definitely great. Speakers are super loud. And my display doesn't have the tint! So far, this is the best phone I've ever owned
Aryaman Singh While I love the design of the phone (I own it and use it every day), I'm slightly disappointed. I knew the camera wouldn't be as good as some others - like the Samsung GS5 or now the LG G3 - it's not as good as I would expect from a flagship device. I don't care too much about that though. What really bothers me is that the device constantly stutters. Not that it's slow, but frames are dropped and screens momentarily freeze (in HTC apps) enough that it's bothering - and not when under any crazy memory or processing pressure.
That's due to images still being drawn and services being started. it does that on pretty much all android phones. After a few seconds it goes away. That's just a code a thing.
Wow Android sucks iOS FTW. Jocking :).I think it stuttered for a sec when he entered the google now screen for the first time as it syncs all the data. I don't really remember but I think that was the case with my N5 when I flashed the Android L preview. Anyways you shouldn't judge it by this the L Dev preview runs perfect on a less powerful device than this (Nexus 5).
Was wanting the Nexus 6, but decided to go with the 2014 Moto X. It's basically a smaller Nexus 6. Lovin' this device. Runs like butter and I got the bamboo backing. Really nice look and feel to it. Haven't had a Motorola since the RAZR was still in. Glad I went back to them.
The camera. That's what I want to see the most. As of right now I'm abandoning my G3 and OPO because the cameras just CANNOT compete with the iPhone 6+. So yeah, I want to see a full camera review with tons of sample pics.
I'd love to see an in-depth camera review/comparison against other flagships and the nexus 5. Battery life VS N5 would also be great. And if it's not too much to ask, it would be good to show how this phone is in everyday life in terms of size/handling the device on the go, in bed etc! Thanks and keep up the good work :D
Please please show the viewing angles for the screen on different colors if you notice wash-out or color distortion, and do what you can to be detailed about the screen itself. The worst is hearing "the screen is pretty good, moving on!" Also covering the camera and putting full-res samples in the video would be awesome. Thanks for all the awesome vids, MKB. Keep on keepin' on.
I'd be interested in the overall camera quality and what about the fact that it's "waterproof" as claimed by the motorola website! Thanks and keep the good work up!
I didn't realise just how big that phone is - bigger than the Note 4 even! I loved the Nexus 5 - I wonder Marques if you can cover battery life in the full review, because IMO that's the only thing that let the 5 down.
That phone looks right at home in your hands. Would like to see more on it's ambient display and a video comparison with it and the droid turbo.. BTW keep up the good work. Peace

This this this!
Yea everything this guy's said.
nice !
Yeah this, and high gaming performance
Damn, sitting here watching possibly one of my all time favorite phones ever. Damn I miss shamu! Such a great overall device! Wow this vid is a throwback
Throwback ? Lmao just a few years old . . . Throwback is 10, 15 years old 😂😂
Was I the only one who noticed Marques is using both of his hands? Good for him.
I just realized that too.. Glad to see his right hand is back...
You can't use phablet with one hand
***** You can. I could do that with my 6+, my Samsung Galaxy Mega, and my Z Ultra
***** as a Note 3 user I find this comment offensive :D
Ikr...
There's still nothing like a first person unboxing. Its awesome to experience feeling that first that opening something really cool. Love it.

I think camera performance is on everyones mind. Hit us up MKBHD :)
moradierethamster No, you don't want to see a review on it's camera? or sarcasm?
well it has a flash ring that looks really amazing and the camera is similiar to moto x 2nd gen so i guess its a really good camera
MafionzoR Yeah, we all know that part haha...
MafionzoR
The 2nd gen moto x camera isn't a really good camera
Harpreet06 say that to my 5 mp ace plus camera
It's great to see that your hand has healed Marques!
- Battery life?
- Lollipop performance?
- Do you like the new drawer?
- Camera?
- Is it easier to write email and stuff with a bigger screen?
- How much actual free space does it have?
- Did you find apps with problems with Lollipop?
Dude, breath.. It's only a first impressions vid
Pretty sure these are what he's looking for in the review. MKBHD asked what we want to see in the review.
True dat...
Good queries man.
But hey, this is the Internet.. Which name do you want me to call you anyway?
The size thing is just ridiculous. That doesn't even look like a phone anymore.

***** Test the battery by playing Ingress. See how long it lasts AND how accurate is the GPS. Also, your hand is looking really good!
Ingress should be the premier battery benchmark.
You have some of the most professional and fun to watch unboxing videos on all of UA-cam!
Marques,
With this large display, Google is clearly showing how Android and the phone market as a whole can and is okay to be big. I am personally all for it, but do you think the real reason for this is to make wearables more appealing? A bigger screen makes for a more clunky device to keep taking out of your pocket.

I have an iPhone 6 Plus and despite what you may hear, my 6 Plus fits in quite well in the majority of my trouser pockets, never really had an issue. Do I get banned from society if I say that I would rather have a Nexus 6 than a iPhone 6?
Nah not really. Both Apple and Android phones are fantastic nowadays. Only reason I went with the iPhone 6+ is because of iMessage. iMessage blows regular SMS texting out of the water.
My next phone might even be an android phone. Who knows?
Thomas Danielsen Hes not trolling, I have the 6+ and Im in the process of dumping it for this phone. Its a really bad phone for the money I paid for it.
Daniel Avrit i hear iPhone 6+ camera is just too awesome
Thomas Danielsen lol
No because the iPhone is terrible for the price
Nice unboxing, the best Nexus 6 unboxing i see so far.
Everyone's just raving about the phone, but no one is actually cheering you for leaving the cast behind and sporting a badass looking scar!! Congrats to you man! :)
I should stop watching videos about things I can't afford
We all technically cab afford it but we don't want to "waste" money on it
*can

Just kidding uey guys ill erkt u ayn dayz yu aer all just fgts on the inteneetnrtn thnx 4wthcin bei... just kidiing im bck m8o tom8o ok bye fro rl

Can you do a hardcore killing it video? not like breaking it, but like have wifi, 4g/3g, gps, sync all that stuff on, screen on all that stuff, and show us how long it will last under the worst possible conditions? That would be awesome :D
I agree
That sounds awesome. Try maxing out it's hardware and seeing what happens.
idk man it would be really helpful for a guy like me :) i have a couple college days where im there from like 9am to 9pm would like to leave internet on but my s3 dies by like 2pm if i do that.
TAOGaming
its not a full review its just a hands on video
I would like to see an in depth camera portion on your review. That's the only thing nexus devices killed me on.
Yeah I would love an in depth camera portion as well. Everything else about this phone looks great
I love the way you hand on a device very confidently.
Love your reviews but you are better than unboxing videos....leave that to the rest
Full review is coming soon.
And he'll do that better than any other reviewer I've seen.
Reviews are not allowed until release I read somewhere. The media only allows a first impression
Agreed. Maybe he's under a contract or something.
That's BS, he can do what he wants, that's why they send their stuff to him.
Hi MKBHD, thanks for all the great work and videos that you do. You really help us spend our $$$ wisely.
Would love to know more about the camera and how it compares to the Iphone6, specially in low light.
cheers.
Thanks ***** ! I am very curious about battery life and your opinion of the camera. Thanks again bro!
what you thinking Rob?
I'm thinking whether I should get one or not Vlad.
I'm leaning toward the Droid Turbo.
i would want to see a side by side video
Me too Vlad.
Your right hand is fixed! Glad you recoverd speedily.
***** Can you please review in dept about the battery and camera in the full review...
Tejas Patel chriss nacca has already do the battery life test on nexus 6, and he got 6 hours of SOT
Dimas Wahyu P. Yea I saw that 😃
Id really like to see an actual comparison of the speakers on this phone compared to other flagships.
Note 4 speaker is better than note 3. I have both and note 4 is louder. It is not oneplus one sound but good enough.:)
***** I use phones speakers all the time. Listening to this video with my HTC One M8 is an excellent experience.
Try the m8 best speakers out there also the nexus9
Juan Carrasquillo I'm around people too often. Maybe if I lived alone. Using speakers around other people is extremely indecent and very rude.
I really wish they made a smaller version. That's disappointing.
They make two.. Moto X and Droid Turbo :)
aspade01 he's talking about nexus phones
aspade01 those aren't nexus devices :)
It's literally hands ons!!!! Glad to see your hand healed. Keep up the awesome videos!!!
Can we get a sound test please? Im heavy into media and would like to hear what those speakers sound like coming from Note 3 with the stupid bottom speaker. Thanks and keep up the great job!
Probably it won't have HTC one m8 sounding speakers, but it should be good for basic use
Well if you are " heavy into media " you probably wont listen anything on your phone , but if yoy ask me , i think the htc still has the best speakers
FOKI5895 thats why the test. I listen to podcast or watch videos and what to hear what yhey would sound like. My coworkers htc sound amazing.
Unbelievable how they copy the Apple iPhone box to such a precision.
Unbelievable that you care about such little things. Like oooooh Supermarket 1 also has an own brand which make dino macaroni, which supermarket 2 already had years ago! OOOOOOOOH
These are designs apple has engraved in their products. It's like a signature, would you like other people imitating your signature? Joshua Baruch
A signature is something different than a box. Someone can rob me money with that, I don't see Google robbing money from Apple with a box.
The design is the products' signature. Joshua Baruch it's worth a lot of money. That's why there lawsuits everyday for these kind of things
Apple fanboy detected
Wow your hand is huge. What is the length from your wrist to the tip of your middle finger?
Lol, he is African u know. So u have lost the race already :D
Nishit Raj Why would you assume that I'm not african as well?
He's 6,3 any one that tall has big hands like me
Ya, hands.
Nishit Raj ;)
Great to see your hand has recovered! Keep up the good work and btw i personally enjoy unboxings, to those that do not, i would advise to just not watch them. No one's forcing you to click on the videos that have "unboxing" in the title.
LOL, you should do more of these types of videos. Recording and talking, not recording first and talking separately.
+1
You dont fucking pay him to watch it, so dont bitch and cry. He can do whatever he wants.
sashundera91 ***** I wanted to see the hands on - which is also in the title.
*****
in full review do
Camera comparison
QHD test in Sun light
Battery test with battery saver mode
Turbo Charger review
That sums up what I want to know
And the music sound
@@electricboarder950 music sound should be good since the speakers are front firing
Hey he opened his cast :D welcome back right hand of MKBHD
I don't like the white background of the app drawer. Wish it was transparent or translucent. That's the only thing I don't like about l.
You can always install a launcher dude ;p
Faran Khan well dude, my comment wasn't about a launcher. It is about pure l you know....
Yaa.. Agree.. that white background isn't anything impressive... Kitkat's app drawer is better...
Try this: while you are still on kk google google now launcher apk. Find the apk and have it on your phone. After lollipop update, try installing it :) might work
I am running stock on my nexus 5 ;p waiting anxiously for L...
You will feel that way at first but once you upgrade you will end up getting used to it.
I agree with you, I'm also not liking that it takes two swipes to pull down the notification tray. That's gonna get old real quick.
Hi guys. Song used during the Nexus setup (Security bubble) is Got That Feeling by DJ K - B if you were wondering.
Your hand is better! Glad it was a fast recovery, Marques!
A comparison to the note 4 please marques, there's a lot of people like myself who desire a bih android phone and not sure which way to go!
Big*
Check out flossy carters review of the note 4 he doesn't cover up the lag like every other person on UA-cam
incen koji I think he did give the lag a quick mention because its something to do with touchwiz isnt it? That doesnt bother me too much, all phones lag anyway lol
henchdan1 nexus phones have significantly low lag im telling you you'll barely see it
I'd love see the camera . I have the note 4 but I'm tempted to go to the nexus 6 , but it depends on the camera
camera nd also the screen quality
***** i hate touch wiz! stock lollipop looks great!
The only thing that is missing from this phone to me is multi-windows and Moto Maker. Other than that, I really like this phone. Coming from a Samsung guy, this would be my first Nexus. The multi-windows aspect of it is a lot to give up though.
I totally agree man...😁
Multi window is supposed to be added eventually I think
Welcome to the Nexus world, where anything you imagine is possible. As long as you are willing to do the mods.
I just would like to watch a video of you going through all the cool animations and small details of Android L. Just watching this small snippet has me so excited for the upgrade.
Finally... a "premium" Nexus😀
After dropping $650 on a phone is it to hard to ask for some headphones? Like really?
Agreed
I haven't used the earphones I've gotten with my last 3 phones and honestly if you have that much for a phone I'm sure an extra $30 for a decent pair of earphones isn't much of an issue.
$650 for a phone??? God I miss 4 years ago.
They should just refresh Nexus 5 with better battery and more consistent camera
They can't make the battery bigger if it's the same size.....
And for its specs it is cheap
If Google made a big screen TV they could call it the Nexus 69.
Ha Ha I see what you did there !
They may very well make an affordable, big-screen, 4K smart TV.
Desu Gun They have no choice but to call it the Nexus 69
Walker H Only if it's 68.9 actual inches.
What happened to the top of your right hand??
He had surgery done on it
Oh so no more cast??
Max Almaraz as u can see fir yourself
Yayyyy
Dr.Dre stabbed him
Congrats for your recovery
Please camera review! Thanks
Anyone else notice that MKBHD isn't wearing the cast anymore?
Yo MKBHD your hands are looking hella dry my dude; I'm going to need you to throw on some lotion before future releases.
haha!
XDDD
Haha every year during the fall/winter time his hands are so dry.
HAHAHHAAHHA
i agree, but i didnt want to say it lmfaoo
I would like to see a thorough look on in your upcoming review video for Nexus 6 -
1. Navigation speed - In apps, general menus, settings etc.
2. Performance - E.g. How much time to open heavy apps (in general) and any glitches or stutters (if any)
3. New Material Design Interface - Shortcuts, tweaks, animations, buttons and customization (if any)
4. Camera improvements - As Android L promises great improvements in this department
5. Battery Life - QuadHD Display vs. Android L battery life promises
Thanks MKBHD !!
I find your reviews always good !!
Thorough review awaited !!
Thanks Again.
Wonder if I will manage to get this phone before 2015.... :(
A lovely phone Nexus 6 so pure
Wow...that really was a FASST video!
nice rite ?
MKBHD rocks!!
Superb.....
I'm so glad that your hand's ok now! great review as well.. !!
i don't really like the touch home button, it's better to have physical home button
once u get used to it, it doesnt mattter trust me!
coming from iPhones for the past 4-5years after just over a week with my nexus 5 i love the touch screen buttons a whole lot more!
Haha, someone was excited.
You'll always be the first to do the box flip trick in my book :3
anyone notice how the nexus 6 box look similar to the iPhone 6 & 6 plus box?
***** look up the Galaxy nexus box buddy : )
***** Uhh... Apple has been using white boxes for years.
***** Why wont iSheeps like you just STFU and let android do what they want. ITS A BOX FFS! And with you logic every company that uses white boxes is copying just please stfu.
*****
Why you show the same link the second time? And yes, maybe Android copied some things from Apple, but theres the other side too. Like this
appleinsider.com/articles/13/01/03/apple-applies-for-ios-notification-center-patent-years-after-googles-notification-bar (tl;dr)
Don't feed the troll. He's doing this for attention and you're giving it to him.
Edit: No one really copies anyone. Competition fuels the industry to become more innovative and advanced. This also means that the two OS's will use eachother's ideas sometimes.
Son, nice unboxing, even BGR recognizes talent!
This, Iphone 6 Plus or Note 4 or Oneplus? (Money not issue, am arab, very rich. Much oil) just want best phone to play game where plane go boom against building in hd graphics, must not lag.
Regards abdullah abdoorakasshoor ebrahim.
Buy both phones then and also buy iPhone 6 plus if you rich
Just buy them all
Unless you're gonna be friends with me I couldn't give 2 shits that you're rich.
Ha ha ha... I don't think many people saw the humor in your comment... much oil... ha ha ha ha...
Your obviously not Arab you spelt Ibrahim wrong
am i the only person to notice MKBHD IS NOT IN HD?? WTF ? whats going on?
It'll fix itself in time, it's because we are in the 301+ club!
Video is still processing,
No i realized that too and its 360p bad video quality
Ya its crazy
New videos take a while to get higher quality. Check back
Wow so Android is running out of ideas by them copying Apple iPhone 6/6+ packaging box!
Dude
ITS...A...BOX!
What they copied? Like does the iPhone have big 6 on the box? No?! Gp cry to your mommy Crapple Fanboy. So know if Crapple makes iPhone box white, no other manufacturer should make boxes white so we dont hurt the fellings of Crapple Fanboys! C'mon!
It's a box for a notification centre and an entire widget system.
Charles Angelo Duran maybe this could be the beginning of a new packaging war!!! *grabs popcorn* lol
and so you are running out of stuff to complain, so you pick on the box!
its a fucking box
Awesome *****! Always look forward to your videos and this was another great one.
Who else noticed how beautiful the Moto X looked just out of focus there?
a brand new phone and i still see some lags.... oh yeah that's android :)
if you didn't notice it that's because you are used to laggy shitty android phones hahaha
and the all white box reminds me of something..
p.s. ..... why are there no headphones in the box? and reviewers complain about the ipads come with no headphones!!
Idk it has a smiliar design to the lg g3 >_< I think its nice
problem is its so similar t what is already out there that there is nothing new and refreshing about it, was really looking forward to seeing the design but I cant help but be disappointed.
ThatWolffe i think its really ugly too, especially compared to the previous nexus 5 that looked very minimalistic and nice
but the battery charging is op and overall build is tough
Honestly, i find that the "new" stuff is all in the hardware, rather than the visual experience.
I noticed the packaging was very Apple like
***** ALERT ALERT! ITS A SHEEP! ALERT ALERT!
So, I might not be the first or last to say, but I will be one to do it anyway... Welcome back newly fixed Space Grey normal model previously broken right hand! Glad to see the cast is off, my friend. Good to have you back in proper order. :) :D
Damn 360p :(
whys it so expensive...what can it do that the nexus 5 cant? i still watch porn, talk to friends, text, browse the web at high nice speeds wtf is the point of upgrading for 2x the cost?
because its better in every way ....
nexus 5 can do everything that a smart phone should do which is the things that u commented but if you get a phone like this youll have a better experience
from what ive seen youd have to be a fool to buy this when the 5 is half the price and does the same thing. can someone point something out that shows that im wrong? as far as the wallet goes 5>>>>>6. google is just turning into apple. ppl make fun of ppl who upgrade their 5 to 5s and so on since its so expensive and hardly a difference but this is even worse because not only is there hardly a difference but the price jump is huge lmao
Adam Resh Why would you have to be a fool to spend more on a nicer newer product?
Exactly CommonKTD
3:47 that laaaag tho. Lol
every phone stutters immediately after they boot up. Especially when syncing Google Now cards across google accounts..
Renawld yeah, don't you think I know that...
Zerwuk X just because an iphone has 0 percent stutter or lag (lie) doesn't make it a better phone.
Zerwuk X Yeah, then shouldn't you know that is a retarded thing to bring up...
i find it interesting that iPhones don't do this, not even if you just started them. i'm not saying it makes it better or anything, just find it interesting that apple probably has some kind of optimalization code. sometimes I suspect my iphone of not reacting rather than stuttering, like if it feels that it's in a situation that it would stutter, it rather not react at all and make you try again :)
Glad to see your hand fully healed
It does not look as big as I expected.
who are you talking to, Your boyfriend?
AYANDA VILAKAZI oohhhhh apply ice to burned area
Seems like you're having experience with that.
I'm singe fyi.
jukpulfer No surprise there
I couldn't resist sorry haha
Wow, a white box, with the phone on top and materials underneath. You'd think the copying should stop by now. Apple really needs to patent a box.
/s
You can't patent a color of an box.
^ He just doesn't get it...
Knowing Apple they're probably going to after the nexus 6 comes out 😂
Every powerful phone is 5 to 6 inches big, which is totally unhandy. You have to buy all these "Mini" or "Compact" versions, which aren't even half as powerful. What are these companies thinking?!? This is just ridiculous...
The z3 compact has the same as a normal z3... It's just smaller... So you should go for that one
I hate big phones.. But I guess that's all we are gonna get now
James Guevara Thanks :)
My biggest questions/concerns with this device are
*camera quality
*battery life as daily driver
*does it suffer from overheating like the g3
*reception quality (I noticed nexus devices tend to get lower quality reception than other devices on the same network)
Great job with the video and keep up the good work
I hate the design. Its a bigger moto x... the design of the 5 was beautiful. It wasn't made of metal, but it was really slick and looked awesome. This... i just don't get it. There's not much originality in there. People won't even know you're using a nexus until they see the big ass name in the back
My sentiments exactly
Nexus 5 looked cheap
You're tony stark... ofcourse it looks cheap ;)
Nexus 5 is hardly seen as nexus too for some people. Nexus 5 looks cheap because it is really cheap. So what?
Yeah but it still had its own thing going. This on the other hand really just looks like a moto x with a nexus backplate.
Do you see the trend here with boxing? Many manufacturers are going for the "minimalist" boxing of their products.
No identity, no real design. Just white and a "cool" number on the box. Pathetic.
Its just a way to push costs down and screw customers out of a little more money.
Getting ink onto a box costs a third of a cent in a small-scale operation. Pushing costs down isn't the idea.
Why do u care so much about the box it comes in. What ur buying is the product inside the box, why waste time making an elaborate design for a little cardboard box that's gonna get thrown in the trash anyway
Oy vey
Idk about you but I think lots of people just throw there box away once they take everything out of it...I know I do I throw the box at the wall and play with my phone hahaa
I prefer the minimalist design. More details=/=better looking. Besides if there was one thing they should cut down the costs of it's the box.
Dam 360p :-(
Why 360 p tho
We're early lol
I understand he couldn't wait to upload it so 360 p is the way to go..
BTW 360p is aka 8k resolution
Front and rear camera quality (especially low light performance) is a very important feature for me considering this device. I would appreciate a lot of detail in this area of your review.
Owning an aging Nexus 4 for 2 years, the camera has been my biggest problem with the device.
Watching this on my brand new OnePlus One lol
***** it feels outdated already
whoodiestyle Yeah i received mine about a week before the nexus 6 was announced and I already feel like its old.
Jonothono Nah guys, don't think like that... It's a great device
*****
Just got mine and it is fragging great, thank god I went for it over this monstrosity, 6 inches is just to damn big.
It's toooo damn big. Stopping making these phones so fucking big. FUCK.
They should've stopped at 4.7-5.0''
It's all about device dimensions though, not screen size. The G2 has a 5.2" screen but isn't that big of a phone because it has very slim bezels.
IKR just because it's the nexus "6" doesn't mean make it 6 inches... The iPhone 6 has a six and is 4.7 inches so why not make the nexus 6 smaller too
I have big hands so this phone (and the Note 3 that i currently have) are super comfortable. If you don't like it you don't have to buy it.
Blame Samsung for starting this trend with the note xD
HTC should have made this one too. I don't like Motorola at all
HTC makes lame phones they are too slow and barely sell
***** They are not slow compared to other Android phones. Sense is a lot lighter than touchwiz.
***** Have you actually used an HTC One?
***** -_- HTC > Everything
Aryaman Singh While I love the design of the phone (I own it and use it every day), I'm slightly disappointed. I knew the camera wouldn't be as good as some others - like the Samsung GS5 or now the LG G3 - it's not as good as I would expect from a flagship device. I don't care too much about that though. What really bothers me is that the device constantly stutters. Not that it's slow, but frames are dropped and screens momentarily freeze (in HTC apps) enough that it's bothering - and not when under any crazy memory or processing pressure.
you've got the cleanest looking hands ever. like wow
WOW THE NEXUS 6 just dropped frames and stutters on a fresh reboot. GOOD JOB Google. LMAO at 60 fps animation. #FAIL
Yeah, I noticed that as well, though I'd say it's more Motorola than Google that dropped the ball on that one.
All Android phones will have a bit of lag right after boot for a few seconds and it will go away. You obviously have no idea how Android OS runs...
Glad to see your hand is well now! Keep it up!
Would love to see an in depth review of the camera's performance and battery life.
We wanna watch you play that game & score more than 20! Great video, this.
I didn't realise just how big that phone is - bigger than the Note 4 even!
I loved the Nexus 5 - I wonder Marques if you can cover battery life in the full review, because IMO that's the only thing that let the 5 down.
Am an Indian nerd and in the full review please talk about the customisation in L.
Also please give an in depth review of the camera.u rock.peace.😊
That phone looks right at home in your hands. Would like to see more on it's ambient display and a video comparison with it and the droid turbo.. BTW keep up the good work. Peace
