I also have to add that I love videos like this and this is why I watch YT over TikTok. Most TikTok videos are first impressions and there are never updates. I’m 66 with normal skin-not too dry-but I certainly have wrinkles and the L’Oréal 4 in 1 is perfect for me. You’re right in that it isn’t very much coverage, but it evens out my complexion well and it doesn’t settle into wrinkles at all. I really like it.

I have very dry mature skin and ive started using my fingers to put my foundations on. I think sponges and brushes soak up to much good stuff.

I love after all these years you still come up with fresh content! Friendly reminder to everyone that the amount listed on the package is how much is in it, doesn't matter how big or small the package is, or how "full" it seems. They can put 1 ounce in a gallon bucket and if it says 1 ounce on the label, it's still correct! I wish people would talk about these things properly. Saying how full or empty the tube is really doesn't matter at all and spreads misinformation. There's 8 mLs of blush in that tube no matter how much air is also in there. That's not a lot for a liquid blush though, especially one that takes so much to show on the cheeks!

As a professional makeup artist I was so happy to see you SLOWLY building small amounts with that Ben nye powder! Most of us professionals never bake on clients and we usually add small amounts slowly. The L’Oréal balm needs very little underneath it. Maybe just your spf or a basic moisturizer (if you’re staying indoors) after it’s set (with less underneath) you will have better staying power 💗 8:44
The loreal balm looks beautiful at the beginning but it doesn't last AT ALL on me even with setting it and using products to prolong longevity. I've literally used half of the jar trying to make it work day after day trying different combinations. Sad because it was lovely at the beginning.

TIP: Apply Elf stick contour to back of hand to warm it up and then apply with brush. Works for me.

I watched Christian Dominque's tutorial for her palette, and she uses it for her whole face( blush, bronzer, highlight, and eyeshadow)..Looked 😍
Lately I’ve started setting my face after my face makeup is applied. That way my powder blush, bronzer and contour set my face and I just add a little in places that need set like my under eye. I think that has helped make my look less dry and cakey looking.
I think this pallet has more glazes than shimmers. They can be used over shadows and anywhere on face for that wet/glazed look. I love to use a matte color all over lid and add a glaze over on center.

I found the Boing for my dark spots but they discontinued it. I didn't know about the Pixi . I think I'll try it, but nothing worked as well as the Boing. Thanks for the suggestion. Everyone on here is the greatest.

I will forever be a UA-cam kind of person; I love the moments we get from videos on UA-cam; you get thorough reviews and updates but those wholesome moments like when your cat randomly sits behind you lol 😂 I definitely want to try the ELF tinted sunscreen; I hope they come out with more shades; the Halo glow is a major holy grail for me ❤️ so many products you mentioned that I haven’t tried but I’m curious to try them now; we actually have the L’Oréal Balm in our mod

Good morning! Love the video. I think the Ben Nye powder is what Clowns use to set their makeup. Which is why it is stark white and not designed for any natural skin tone. A little bit looked great on you!

Hi Emily, I am in my 70's with winter dry skin and I find the Loreal 4in1 balm initially lovely on my skin. That being said, it has poor staying power and could be totally reapplied at lunch. I don;t want to have to do that in the middle of the day, so I quit using it. Powdering helps but that doesn't look than great of older skin. Always enjoy your comments.

LoL with setting the underye setting. I use No 7 loose finishing powder with an even smaller eyeshadow brush and only buff the powder into the inner corner. I've been doing that for the last couple of months. It works! Especially on more mature skin
I saw that Christian Dominique intended the eye palette to also be able to function as a face palette. Have you tried that yet? We all love a face and eye all in one! Loved the video!

The Ben Nye product reminds me of the Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder (for under eyes). I think that container is a little more user friendly. They also offer a second shade for medium to deep skin tones. It's $33, so not too much more than the Ben Nye, and you receive an ample amount. I bought it after receiving a LM makeover and being impressed with what it did for my dark circles. Being fair and having dark circles, it's a challenge to conceal and brighten that area while still looking natural.

I just LOOOVE that nyx contour and shaping sticks 🥰👍 there's just specific way to use it. i apply the stick to back of my hand, warm it up and then by makeup brush I put onto the face. That way i can control more the amount I'm putting to the face and also the dry down... Blending looks so much smoother that way. And easier to increase the coverage if wanted 😏👌
Try to apply first to back or balm of ur hand, and then to the face. And if you want more cooler tone nyx stick than the shade "universal light", then try the shade fair for instead. That is perfect contour, more cooler tone for light skin ❣️
I am definitely going to try the L’Oréal balm. I have the driest skin, even in the humid Michigan summers. I have every moisturizer and hydrating serum known to man😂 and still never feel hydrated enough. I love my foundations that I currently have, but, I feel drier when I get them on my face.

I can definitely see the brightness! I often use the white eyeshadow from my Viseart neutral palette. Not all the way under the eye but extendening out from the inner corner area

Yay Emily is the BEST part of Saturday. And Tuesday….and Thursday!! I have the L’Oreal balm tint, but I’m not crazy about it. I have trouble with it going on patchy.

I just bought the L'Oreal Age Perfect balm on a whim. I have mature, combo skin. Not terrible oily in the T zone but i do use blotting paper most days as too much powder through out the day can get heavy on me. I'm really having a hard time with foundations and as a beginner, i'm really looking for the "my skin but better" vibe. I do have a tiny bit of melasma that i can usually tone down with my concealer but it's a part of me and i'm not looking for total coverage. I'm excited to try the balm as i know a lot of ladies with mature, not perfect skin that love it.
White undereye powder. Hmmmm. Going to try a touch of matte white eyeshadow to see what happens. Don't have much to cover but like to brighten the under eye.

I adore that L'Oreal balm. I take a brush and dip it directly in the product. It's SO quick and easy for this dry skinned lady.

Hi Em! In your last video you talked about decorating for Christmas and thanksgiving and then when spring comes and time changes, blah! It takes me a week to get used to this time change!! Use an empty powder compact. Put some of the Ben nye powder in it. Use a little clear rubbing alcohol and make a paste. Leave open 2- 3 days for alcohol to disappear. Then you will have the white powder in a compact.
Do you know if that would work for the Laura Mercier powder as well? Honestly I just hate loose powder but I have a whole jar of it and it does look beautiful on the skin

Try a sponge applicator with the shimmers. I find more control than the finger and good payoff.
