So Mahoraga was something Megumi was prepared to summon in S1. Sukuna even called him out for basically throwing his life and talent away. If he pulls someone else into the ritual, it doesn't count basically. So he can try again and again to subjugate this thing. As for your comment about Gojo, he said that fighting Sukuna at all 20 fingers would be tough. But that he would win. So Gojo says he's stronger than full power Sukuna. This is only 15 finger Sukuna. So Gojo would absolutely beat Sukuna if they fought right now. But Mahoraga kinda bypasses strength. If you aren't strong enough to obliterate it in one blow, it will begin slowly adapting to your techniques until it overwhelms you. We can see several instances in this episode where Sukuna looks shocked or his expression changes(compared to his fight again Jogo where he was having fun and laughing the whole time). Sukuna took Mahoraga way more seriously than Jogo. And when he saw that it was regenerating even inside his Domain, he used the flame arrow to obliterate it before it could finish regenerating.
@miceatah9359 I think it fits great as it usually symbolized a kind of love-song sounding tone, but then it's used to show off Sukuna's rampage. Making the song be personified as an audio to mock Itadori for not being able to stop Sukuna, rather than a love song.
Mahoraga is the kind of summon that scales to its user and snowballs from that starting point so imagine how strong it would be if one of the top dogs were to summon it
Mahoraga IS the good guy. It goes away after the ritual. Sukuna subjecting it is not good. It allows him, if he has the 10 shadows to then summon and control him.

Uhh makora is not a translation error, that’s just his name. Mahoraga is the translation error. Well I wouldn’t call it an error, it’s more like they just chose to call him mahoraga in English even though his name is makora
Fillet, Cleave, Dissect and Dismantle all mean relatively the same thing. Makora is it's official name, it's only called Mahoraga in the English Dub, which, I kind of trust the original version to get things correct, compared to the dub version. (Also Mahoraga/Makora are names, they can not be translated to another language.)
@@WestGarbage6 Both Makora and Mahoraga (with a soft 'g') are correct. It's a matter of pronunciation varying from place to place. This often happens with words said in other languages. For instance, when Gojo was up against Toji he was using the English word "energy", however Gojo's pronunciation would never be used in a fully English conversation. The way "Paris" is said in English is likewise different to the way it's said in French, even though it is a French name.
As Fake Geto mentioned, Yuji would still have control of his body after consuming all 20 of Sukuna's fingers. Sukuna only gained temporary control due to Yuji being force fed a large number of fingers at once, making the hurdle for Yuji's body to adjust to greater, thus making the amount of time for Yuji's body to adjust greater. Sukuna would not voluntarily give the body back to Yuji of he could maintain control.
I forgot just how wild this episode was!! 😭 Whats crazy is how Megumi nearly summoned Makora aka "Mahoraga" (the translation used in the manga typically) a few times in season 1. As Sukuna himself said, if he went through summoning this Shikigami back during the Detention Center arc with 3 finger Sukuna it probably would have beaten him. What a wild ability, no wonder Sukuna is interested.
The subjugation ritual was cancelled out because Sukuna, as an outsider, killed Mahoraga. He can be resummoned for a ritual later though, and also Sukuna took Megumi's body to Shoko so he's fine
Hey John and Chris. Mappa just released the new version (additional scenes) of Sukuna Vs Mahoraga. You guys should check this out. It's more epic than the televised version one.
"Makora" it's how it is written and pronounced in the japanese. I really don't fucking know where "MAHORAGA" came from... like... Megumi didn't said that... It's like that bastard kid that worked with fire/coal and was aways coverd in ash... ashla... "ASKELADD" --' Some mfs are in the industry just to troll

@miceatah9359 your insane Gojo dog walks 15f even at 20f Gojo's way stronger hand to hand and he can easily survive sukunas domain
@miceatah9359 Gojo most certainly defeats 15F Sukuna. I wouldn't say easily but definitely would
Gojo definitely beats 20 finger Sukuna. Spoiler ahead:
The only reason Gojo lost was because Sukuna also had Mahoraga and the third Shikigami
@miceatah9359 gojo dogwalk 15f sukuna
The song "You are my special" makes perfect sense since it's from the perspective of the evil (aka Sukuna doing this to the Itadori).
What an episode.
@miceatah9359 it isnt it fits the scene perfectly lol
@miceatah9359cope and read the lyrics
@miceatah9359 nah its artistic choice, you kids wouldnt know any of that.

man i sure wonder what it would be like
You guys should watch the blu ray edition added scenes. They changed so much and refined a fair amount of the animation, looks so beautiful.

@@FalhaViva Mahoraga is the name of the shikigami in the manga, but the closer translation is Makora. However the majority of people call it Mahoraga.
@FalhaViva well. I didnt know that, sorry
What site are you watching? the translations are a bit off.
You said no shibuya is left.
Wait till you see season 4(the shinjuku showdown)
