I've always been of the theory that the "intended" use of ten shadows is to consolidate all but one of the shadows into one and use that to tame mahoraga and then fuse that shadow with Mahoraga. Once that happens you have one massively powerful shakigami. You can also think about Rabbit escape and how it's debatably immortal. It's possible that the final form of the ten shadows is a massively buffed army of rabbits.
Or hell just a mass of black rabbits
The rabbit isn't immortal. It just can copy itself. There is 1 real rabbit with the mark every shadow has on it's belly, and then there are all the copies that have no mark at all.
I like the idea, but I feel the more likely scenario is just that the 10 shadows is the ultimate "f u" ability and is designed around the concept of the best shadow never being tamed. if we assume Agito is the best thing you can make except for Mahoraga - and if it's not, why would Sukuna use it instead of whatever was better? - then it's very clear that the 10-s user has no tool in their CT that can actually defeat Mahoraga. And that in turn becomes the binding vow that allows Mahoraga to be so strong.
Because the user can never tame Mahoraga, Mahoraga is allowed to be exponentially stronger, bolstered by this massive downside. The harsher the restriction, the bigger the gain.
Of course, this doesn't account for cursed tools, but so far we haven't seen any cursed tool that could actually defeat Mahoraga.

@@kidanhone6048 There is no confirmation in the manga at all about ALL shadows combining, either through Well's Unknown Abyss or through Totality. In fact, Gege even said it has a set order and not every shadow can combine with any other.

2:35 Honestly that aspect of his technique on its own would make a pretty good CT, on top of having the OP shikigamis (obviously it comes with the risk of having to defeat them, so it's a fair tradeoff). It's certainly more versatile than boogie woogie and we saw what that technique can do in the hands of a competent fighter.
A straight up shadow power without shikigami seems like a good power still imo.

I think you forgot to mention megumis finished domain expansion. If he could finish his domain and tame Mahoraga he could summon multiple Mahoraga in addition to also using totality on himself. So his shadows arnt totally dead as he can summon them again in his domain.
Hasn't Megumi lost Mahoraga already? since it's his body summoning Mahoraga during the Gojo fight and Mahoraga died there, it's dead now even if Megumi get saved.

@@Pe37777 He could, but those were with other Shikigami, Mahoraga is entirely different. I also don't remember him being able to summon already dead Shikigami though, unless I'm forgetting something.
He can make multiple copies of the same one in his DE, and even if one of the copies dies it doesn't remove it from his arsenal, but Idk if already dead ones can be brought back.
What he can do though is use Totality with the remaining Shikigami and add Mahoraga's abilities to those Shikigami, at a lower efficiecy. So less powerful Totality Rabbits and such.

For sukuna using max elephant water, his hands are cupped like piercing blood there is a shadow in his hands since they’re blocked by sunlight.
He summoned it in the shadow of his hands in the piercing blood pose but kept the elephant in the shadow and only let the water out

There’s a lot of theories about that bone structure thing that appeared in his domain. I always thought it meant he was on his way to making an open domain, since the only other open domains we’ve seen has had some sort of central structure in them and this looked eerily similar.

@@jonarhax3388 ehh, I wouldn't say the user is entirely incompetent, because having all of your shikigami be permanently destroyed means that you've tamed all of them, all the way up to big raga. so yeah, they wouldn't be a major screwup, but still
@@jonarhax3388 it's impossible for a 10 Shadows user to have all 10 and be incompetent too, since you need to beat Mahoraga to have all 10, and you definitely can't beat Mahoraga if you're lacking. If you get jumped and ambushed you could get killed before summoning them, but other than that Mahoraga would just pull up to fight with you.
That wouldn't work because you have to give something up to make a binding vow-if you've already lost all 10 shikigami giving up the ability to summon them is meaningless
So in my opinion if all of them are gone thats it. This point however is something that has barley a chance happening. Either you never use "Totality" until all are gone, a pointless waste if you ask me, or you have reached a point that all your remaining Shikigamis have such a cursed energy cost that its not even possible to bring them out.
If your a "Ten Shadow" user that can use the final totality then you have nothing to fear besides the merger. The "Mahoraga" that faced a 120% Gojo will not even come close if we look how strong "Divine Dog" or "Nue" have become after taking in even a single other Shikigami.
Tbf we don't know if multiple totalities are a thing, additive, exponential or diminishing returns. Its very possible you can only summon a shikigami with the totality of one other regardless of how many totalities you have stored. Unless im wrong I don't remember any instances of multiple totalities.
@@soldierbreed Well there is the chance that "Chimera Beast Agito" is a totality version of "Nue" but i still have an inkling that it was more of an extension technique.
Other than that all other Shikigamis were either pure or a mixture of 2 thats true.

@@Rue_Khan , it's not a chance, Agito was outright stated to be a Nue Totality version once Sukuna summoned it. Gojo also confirmed that it's Nue with the Serpent, Tiger, and Deer mixed into it.
@@augustarcana He called out "Nue:Totality" before yes. Now he could have taken the already existing version of this from the time he attacked Maki and Takaba. That version was "Nue+Orochi".
Now the reason why i think it is a extension technique is because the hand signs for it were wrong. That sign Sukuna made was not shown to belong to any of Megumis Shikigami.
So my crackpot theory is that he took "Nue:Totality" and with a similar extension technique as "Wells Unknown Abyss" he fused the still alive "Round Deer" and "Mourning Tiger" with "Nue:Totality" to make "Chimera Beast Agito".
when Sukuna hit a version of piercing blood with Max Elephant I knew he was generational.
For the "piercing elephant" I think it's just the "shadow bond" application like with the dogs, his hands make the shadow that you form (not Summon) max elephant in. Also with this Nue is scary as you can just shadow bond max elephant 100 feet up and let Nue dive into a massive area of water as it shocks everything crushed by it
When megumi used his domain for the first time he said that he needs to broaden his interpretation of the technique. So by that logic im assuming that the way the ten shadows technique works is based on the wielders interpretation of it
That's kinda with jujutsu as a whole. Broadening your understanding to its concepts and your innate domain is what makes a good sorcerer
@@gaelurquiz5755 you are right. In a weird way sorcery is kinda like green lantern. They both use their abilities through their emotional energy. Their perception and personality make their powers. For a green lantern, his imagination is his limit. For Jujutsu ones innate domain is their limit. However there are a lot of technicalities in jujutsu. Rules that sorcerers study but we, the audience are not told about. Anyway that's just my interpretation.

Gege made Gojo way too powerful and then literally invented stuff like domain amplification, open domain, brain damage through RCT, Mahoraga, Reality slash etc. as a means to defeat him. I will give credit though that most of it was handled very well and not too asspully but boy does it feel tedious.

The whole Idle Transfiguration turning people into sorcerors situation is basically like this:
Imagine a sorceror's brain as a PC. These non-sorcerors essentially have a PC with missing parts and thus can't run the PC. What Idle Transfiguration does is give them the missing parts they need for the PC to run. However Mahito does not have the level of skill needed to program the OS/Operating System that the PC will run (curse technique) and so the newly awakened sorceror will just get whatever OS that was already installed
Tbf considering Maho and Agito were killed by Gojo, Megumi is very low on shikigami rn. Assuming he's in fighting condition at any point after he's freed from Sukuna we may actually get a canon answer to this question.
I assume Megumi still has his elephant, frog, rabbit, and maybe his dogs. Sukuna manifested the Elephant to do a Piercing Blood-like attack when both were out and the other three wouldn't make too much sense for him to use. Which is still a lot better than nothing given Megumi only ever used Divine Dog Totality

Id say the pieceing blood attack sukuna utilises by using max elephants water jsnt different from him using mahoragas wheel. In the same way as hes not adapting mahoraga is i believe max elephant is producing the water from the shadows so its still max elephants power.

I believe you will still be able to manifest the shikigami as a shadow instead of their complete manifestation and you can apply totality to yourself, but the shikigamis can only be manifested completely in chimera shadow garden.
My theory is that megumi has a vessel type thing which will act his final uncontrollable shikigami
When all of his shikigamis will die, he'll put their powers into that vessel

I do wonder if untamed Shikigami can inherit the power of a tamed one along this vein, like you got 9 tamed besides big daddy Raga and all 9 of them die somehow (Even tho like rabbit escape is practically impossible to but hypothetical) does Mahoraga then get all that power and you'd have to beat not just normal Mahoraga but uber-powered Mahoraga with none of the other shadows

The fact alone that Megumi could potentially inherit the powers of the ten shadows via totality and taming/killing them all is *CRAZY.* Assuming if Megumi could still utilize the objects from the Ten Shadows, we could potentially have a Megumi able to adapt at to anything at maho levels, pair this with general knowledge and being good at jujutsu, and he'd be a freak of nature, strongest of the Zen'in clan, even surprassing "them".
In his domain megumi can make shadows clones of himself and other shikigamis so his clones with get the totality but weaker

There's nothing saying he can't summon totalities. So he may summon multiple of the chimera shikigami. Or maybe he can even summon already dead shikigamis since they technically still exist in his innate domain.

Since he is responsible for the merger, he also has control over tengen.
Final battle could be megumi using tengen alongside itadori vs Sukuna using all his techniques from the black box and his other weapon that he hasn't used until now.
Wasn't the snake used in the Agito chimera? And Sukuna killed it when he fought Megumi. I maybe remembering that wrong but I think it was mentioned by someone that it was part of Agito, and I remember it having a serpentine tail.
I have a theory on ten shadows CTR. It can be that he can use CTR to gain the abilities of the shikigami instead of summoning them by using his CT. This could potentially work on even dead shikigami (potentially)
I think there a 2 possibility’s either 1 you get the power and are able to use the abilities like sukuna using max elephant water spout or 2 when there all gone the maximum technique is unlocked and it’s somewhat like a shadow #0 or shadow #11 and is like some type of anthropomorphic chimera that has aspects of every shikigami or a dragon with 10 heads each a different Shikigami and mahoraga wheel behind.
I think the way Sukuna used Piercing Water is by only summoning the trunk on the elephant is a shadow on his arms since the technique is highly depending on shadows
i was also thinking, the same way gojo told yuji since sukuna was inside of him his body was soaked and potentially scarred by sukunas cursed energy, would this also apply to megumi. does megumi (if he stops throwing a pity party) get a buff from having sukuna use him as a turtle shell

Since each of the 10 shadows is meant to be an embodiment of Japanese holy relics I think that when one dies it's like that relic being broken. Broken pieces can be reused/powers can be inherited but I think if every piece broke it'd just be making shadow spaces like empty rooms. I think what's way more interesting is what would happen if someone managed to give a cursed tool sentience (like Yaga's puppets or Kenjaku likely did) and store it in the ten shadows? Can you make more? Would it react to the existing shikigami/their abilities?
Assuming Sukuna learned to use ten shadows by watching the user during the heian era. I find it hard to believe someone who was as skilled the previous user failed to tame mahoraga. Maybe he died fighting the sixeyes+limitless right before beating mahoraga?

Ok, theory about how his piercing water attack works.
The 10 shadows technique summons shikigami using shadows as a medium, and he (sukuna) can partially manifest the shikigami by halting the process of summoning it (related to how he halted the process of incarnation to keep megumi's face until he fought kashimo?) So he closes his hands and he partiallly manifests max elephant from the shadow inside his closed hands and has it expel water, which he bottlenecks the same way as piercing blood.
id like to imagine he absorbs all of their powers when they die meaning the only place it can go is to him.

Got a pretty interesting theory marhorga isn’t dead or at least megumis version isn’t Sukuna says an “you are not megumi fushigros shadow” but given the fact that suluna can easily summon Nue when taking over his idk how well this theory holds up unless he just automatically claims Megumi shikigami but once he had fully taken over the body he had to restart because everything was transferred to him and we never see him summon anything that Megumi hasn’t tamed during that fight but again makes no sense, given the fact that he really didn’t even need it any for the most part but eh just a random theory
What if Sukuna using Max Elephant's water is some kind of Cursed Technique Reversal?
Mahito was probably aware he can remove cursed techniques with idle transfiguration, but considering his win condition is merely touching someone, it was never brought up because why remove their technique if you can just kill them?

I like to imagine the "ultimate form" of the Ten Shadows would be a sort of divine chimera dragon. It would have healing, cloning, lightning, water, Juggernaut powers, crazy tongue, could obviously fly, would be physically just insanely strong, and adaptation. Plus the user of the technique could channel all of these abilities through themselves on top of their shadow powers
My biggest question with this technique is if its possible that any deaths that occur before the inheritor is born are still permanent. It could explain why Sukuna never used any of the higher ones we have not seen but used most of the ones we have. If that's the case we almost certainly have a reveal of what happens when all 10 die coming. I think if Megumi makes a return he's crazy enough to fuck around and find out by killing what shikigami he has left as an all or nothing gamble. Cause he's pretty useless even if hes not a vegetable if he doesn't do something.

Ten shadows is so busted, probably the strongest CT. Super versitile, even without summoning the shikigami (shadow manipulation, borrowing shikigami powers, fusing shikigami without repercussions even if they die). On top of that mahoraga which nullifies 99.99% of passive abilities...
As the rabbit hopped closer, sukuna shrunk back in fear, saying “Are you the rabbit because you’re the strongest, or a you the strongest because you’re the rabbit?” The rabbit didn’t reply, because he’s a fucking rabbit.
There is also the question of what if you reverse the ten shadows technique. I believe you can revive a shinigami but it might be hard to do.
I always thought that if all would be destroyed than megumi would be the host for all the powers and he’ll be his own shikigami
For max elephant, I heard somewhere that Sukuna simply compresses the shikigami into his hands and then uses the water attack
the way he does it is he just takes the water from max elephant and uses it for himself. Pretty much using the techniques of his shikigamis without actually summoning them, which is really cool

Do you think we’ve seen the full potential of Toji given we seen how Maki uses her full Heavenly Restriction? I guess to clarify, do you think someone with a heavenly restriction can become stronger than just the heavenly restriction or is their power capped?

If totality shikigami dies, does the original shikigami die normally? Like if diving dog died, it would be the black one to die permanently.
Can you do the combined shikigami with totality? Like merging toads with divine dog.
Can you stack multiple totalitys on 1 shikigami? Imagine if all 9 shikigamis, except mahoraga, die and mahoraga gets ALL their totalitys.
Or just there is no way that everyone of the shadows dies, like the rabbit and frogs .
If i only summoned one and it dies , doesn't mean the whole thing is dead , since the rabbit and the frog are summoned in group form , meaning if the whole group you summoned dies you can just summon more .
In the end, either you have a strong hybrid rabbit or have a strong hybrid frog like creature.
Idk about the frog but for the rabbit there is a specific rabbit that is the real rabbit. If that one dies its lost.

Technically the rabbits are the only ones that cannot die since they're basically meant to be sacrifices, so you'd have rabbits with every shikigami's power

But that's if Yuji shared the book and information. For some reason, nobody is sharing important information, besides teaching Yuji RCT.
How much stronger is Maharaga under Sukuna? For example Sukuna made NUE a skykraper sized bird then how much stronger is Maharaga under Sukuna
There's not much indication that Ten Shadows get a boost in strength if a more powerful user wields them. The only aspect which changed so far was the application of the technique: Sukuna found more creative ways to use Shikigami, such as using dogs fused with Shadows or shooting Elephant's water as "Piercing Blood". Also, he could channel his own Cleave and Dismantle through them, as with Magoraha. As for the giant Nue, this appears to be the Totality version fused with Great Serpent, since normal Nue doesn't have a tail.
Change of ten shadow user in the show is how we ultimately came to a conclusion of "Ten shadows is extremely busted"...he also did all this within mere 2 Months of technique possession...Technique is same as it was supposed to be, its the user who make it seem like top busted technique in the whole jjk verse.
Same things can be said about a technique that just slashes ur opponent,i.e.cleave and dismantle...nothing special or magical when compared to other techniques...but the user of the said technique is top of the verse.
In Megumi's domain, he can melt into a shadow just like the Shikigami, so he might be able to combine them with himself win the domain too?
Considering Agito and Mahoraga got nuked, it's safe to say Sukuna didn't inherit the shikigami's abilities (not that he isn't doing fine without them) so odds are Megumi wouldn't either.
There's a certain cheat code in this. If you tamed mahoraga just use that lesser form of totality to make mahoraga adapt to techniques without the risk of him dying
even if all his shikigami's are defeated, megumi can use his domain expansion to get all his shikigamis again (for the duration of the domain expansion.)
Inherenting the abilities of his Shikigami is an interesting idea. That will be pretty cool if it ends up being a thing. My suspicion is that if Megumi is saved he's possibly gonna understand more about his technique from Sukuna using it. I feel like Megumi is logical enough to get it together and take part in the final fight, but we'll see. Mahoraga can still be fused with other Shikigami so Megumi might surprise us.

I wonder if Sukuna can use the Ten Shadow's techniques without summoning them because of Shrine interacting with the Ten Shadows or perhaps he killed the summons and ate them to take their powers?
How do you actually create a Shinigami? Like someone like Mahoraga? Was a curse spirit maybe the blueprint?

Sukuna doesn't fusing mahoraga with anything made me realise that he was going easy on gojo. Probably because it wasn't his power, and he wanted to fight with everything he had.

Personally I believe once all his shigikigami die they would fuse into his domain, essentially completing it. No idea how that would look like or even do

Well, we all know that Megumi's shikigami are the 10 sacred treasures of Shintoism, and that if these treasures are combined, they can revive the dead. And even if the shikigami's forms are destroyed, their powers and essences never truly die and can be passed on to another shikigami.
With all this data I'd say fuck it: the maximum technique of the 10 shadows technique must be about resurrecting my shadows and resurrecting all the dead that I want.
This way, at least the technique can work forever (as long as the summoner doesn't die)
even if he could get it, who would he be fighting that forces him to develop that techniche? the only main fight I can think of after sukuna, would be a merged tengan.
Just think of it like being born with a birth defect. They were born with techniques engrained into their souls and brains just like any other sorcerer but born with the brain of a regular human. We know use of techniques are linked to the brain in some capacity. All kenjaku does is with those cases where the brain is messed up alters it to fit the brain of another sorcerer. I don’t think what he’s doing is as vague as you make it out to be. Also you’re right Mahito can’t just give people techniques. Precedent for the opposite already exists. Mahito alters Junpei’s brain in the sewer so he can actually use his cursed technique. Kenjaku actually says that the sorcerers he alters the brains of are cases like junpei. No technique was given just unlocked. But ye it’s not just some vague “potential to have a technique” they have potential because they were born with a distinct tangible technique that they just can’t use.

If a curse technique is embedded in the brain how does a reincarnated sorcerer use their technique do they somehow alter the brain to essentially "copy" or "recreate" their technique and if it that was the case in theory they can copy a ct at a time by using rct even if it's hard?

You can infinitely summon shikigami and mahoraga and defeat them with others but unless you do it by yourself they don’t subjugate. I think same thing happens when they die. If maho dies you just have to re tame him. Same with the other shikigami unless you opt for totality which is honestly better
For the Mahito bit, I thought he was the one that "gave" Junpei his technique with the jellyfish shikigami and all that?
Probably a dumb question but agito is a fusion of a bunch of ten shadows right? But agito died so does that mean all those shikigami are just dead?
They were dead in the first place to make Agito. Totality shikigamis are like Frankenstein's monster. Characteristics of dead shikigamis are passed to an alive one to make a Totality chimera. Their traits can probably be passed on to another making a new Totality now that Agito is dead. The new one will have Agito + another. So the more shikigamis you kill, you'll only make 10s stronger.
Mahito is a menace like no other.

I don't think that the ten shadows user inherits fallen shikigamis powers, just because sukuna would for sure get maharafa killed to grab it's chakra wheel.
