I imagine that there was a clone rebellion but it wasn't on screen because, AZ says that any clones or kaminoans that didn't compliy with orders were executed
Well there's still a chance timira city could come back to Canon but with that being said that brings back starkiller into Canon

It doesn't have to be on Kamino at all Tipoca City being destroyed doesn't mean a Clone Rebellion will not happen honesty its more likely to happen now combined with Rex who is up to something maybe bring Clone commanders and captains together helping to turn their men on the Empire. We could get a much larger rebellion spreading across planets and Imperial bases rather than a single city on Kamino. People just want a Kamino uprising because its from Battlefront 2 but this just seems so much more interesting give us something new and unexpected and then maybe follow it up with the last Kamino scientists creating their own Clone army to fight the Empire which could be something we see in Season 2.

I feel like both versions can go together. They say unofficially, there was no uprising, so that technically would not be canon. And the reason everything is empty is because all of the rebellious clones and kaminoins have been killed.
Yeah and any genetic material left over could've been given to other cloners, be it on Kamino or elsewhere, to be concentrated into the 501st.

It’s still early days. We don’t know what happened to the entire clone population yet.. and it’s likely Vader is still running with the 501st. The regs would be being utilised somewhere, otherwise they would have gone down with Tipoca City. There’s still a good possibility the Kaminoans are still producing clones in a clandestine facility on Kamino
Makes sense considering they weren't even aware of the secret lab where omega and the bad batch were created right next to Tipoca City
true the 501st are probably hunting jedi and some clone commanders are probably still alive for training conscripts or they made the commandos train them like in daro since its only been a few weeks since revenge of the sith happened
We know what happened to the Clone population. Many of the clones still served in the Empire, Some of em retired at the early years of the Empire. It could be a possibility.
@@H1ydra, I'd imagine the 501st is more or less still doing what they did in Legends, hunting down fugitive Jedi (as you said), putting down Separatist holdouts, and "adjusting" planetary government that didn't toe the Imperial line.

Unofficially, approximately twenty years after they were created, a special detachment of the Imperial 501st Legion was dispatched to Kamino with orders to eradicate an army of clones that had been bred to take arms against the Empire
That could still happen with a flashback or mention of that or another city tried to rebel against the Empire. Clone Stormtroopers vs anti-troopers, maybe Vader or a Inquisitor could come with.

I think there should've been a combo of the two versions, clones start fighting each other, some supporting the empire, some not and the empire should've opened fire on Kamino, killing those loyal and those unloyal
Yeah, but not destroying hte facilities outright which was Rampart's personal LITERAL vanity project. You can see from the nanosecond he speaks that he absolutely hates the clones, Kamino, the Kaminoans, all of it. This is not to save money for the Empire, this is deliberately destroying things out of sheer spite and stupid vanity. The Empire in Legends was very wasteful at numerous times, but this is just astronomically wasteful. But this is Disney. They want to destroy any hope of Legends ever popping up in their new anti-Star Wars canon.

Oh also for those not aware there was ment to be a space kamino mission. It never sadly occured but the dialogue, audio recordings/cutscenes were found in the ps version of the game.

Oh my goodness the Battlefront 2 clone rebellion happened “about 20 years after” the clones were created!! That’s 12 BBY, nowhere near the Bad Batch in the timeline! That was like 19-18 BBY!
AS MUCH as I wanted the Clone Rebellion to happen in Bad Batch, but I also prefer what we got. But I still like the Clone Rebellion. Officially, I prefer the Bad Batch version. but Unofficially I still kinda wanted the rebellion.

Fighting against phase 1 clone troopers on kamino as the empire was always one of the coolest things about the game. Sadly it was mission exclusive tho. I think Geonosis was the only planet with phase 1 clone armor. Maybe default kamino too, I can’t remember.
Genosis was definitely in phase 1. But that's mainly because of the movies

I actually like that there was no cline rebellion. It makes the empire seem more powerful and absolute
its more realistic. they empire would never allow the kaminoans to progress far enough to stage an uprising that threatened their power.
@@ForTheBacon Rex though now that's where i see the rebellion starting he could be rounding up high ranking Clone commanders and Captains Clones who can convince their soldiers to go against the Empire. This will be a much larger rebellion to that of Tipoca City which was really only city based not galaxy wide.
@@ForTheBacon I don’t think it’s very realistic. The kaminoans have never been shown as being stupid, and it seems pretty obvious to put a failsafe in the army you’re creating and selling to a galactic power. If it wasn’t the empire, some client would’ve eventually used their own army against them.

Keeping the cloning facilities but downscaling hte program and oppressing the Kaminoans would've shown more power.
This is more wasteful than anything else - and a show of hateful vanity. And the Empire could easily have suppressed a rebellion, since it's galaxy-spanning. The Kaminoans and their army would still take years to grow and try to go independent. And the Empire could've been aware of it from the start, letting it all happen just to show their power even more.
Mix the new Disney canon with Legends so it makes sense.
But destroying Kamino's cities is just DIsney's way of saying "We're never going to let that fake Legend canon ever happen, we'll never let you have it!" Well, more Lucasfilm and that insane story group. This was a massive waste for a really great potential story arc.

I have no idea why people think the removal of Tipoca City also removes the possibility of the Clone Rebellion it's the opposite the home city of the Clones blown up by the Empire will not go down well with the Clones along with Rex who at the moment is rounding up as many loyal clones as he can which could lead to a much larger rebellion to that on Tipoca City.

He says in the dialogue that the rebellion was 20 years after they were created. That's gonna put it several years after the events of the Bad Batch season 1. So aside from the city being destroyed, there's a lot that they could still do that's the same. It is heavily implied that there are other cities on Kamino (see Omega's line about the tube system) and it appears from earlier in the season that there are other planets that Kaminoans have colonized in the past. Now that the Empire has explicitly made them an enemy by destroying their home and (presumably) executing their leader, this may still happen in the future.

Maybe the clone rebellion will happen wherever the clones were taken when they said 'off world.' maybe they get word of what happened on kamino and start to attack the TKs and the empire. Maybe Rex and Gregor call in the Bad Batch to help out in the season finale
I think this is the only single player storyline where your an imperial that actually stays loyal, all the other ones you switch to the rebellion during act 2

Tipoca City in the bad batch was only destoryed. To our knowledge we aren't sure what other cities were destoryed.

I think it kinda makes sense that the clones had no saftey switch. The kaminoins were cocky they thought the Republic/Empire needed them not the other way around.
Also in new canon the clones were phased out almost in the ending of the war, so it makes more sense for the empire not leaving the kaminoins any time to properly plan a rebellion
There's still a chance for some sort of clone rebellion... we still haven't found out what rex was up to this whole season
In my head canon, the Kamino Uprising and starkiller´s cloning project all happened on a different city than Tipoca. That way i can keep Battlefront 2 and TFU games in my headcanon without much contradiction.

Perhaps the clone uprising did happen and that happened before Hunter was captured in the Bad Batch. It was expressed that there were only TK troopers and not any CT troopers and that could be a result of not trusting the clones around Kamino anymore. Also it was only implied that when the admiral was talking to the prime minister about the scientists going against the empire that they discovered the plot just before it started. It could still be brought up in season 2 as a story like it was told in the game but the story is being told by AZ who saw it all.
I prefer a mix between the two:
When The Bad Batch get back to Kamino, the clones haven’t yet been evacuated and are instead being commanded by the stormtroopers. Somehow the bad batch convince all clones in the city that they don’t need the empire as the empire is replacing them, so they rebel against the stormtroopers. Since the clones are much better soldiers they kill most of the stormtroopers leaving the empire to retreat from the city and the clones celebrating that they had won. Then the Star destroyers emerge from the clouds and bombard the city, taking out most of the clone army with it. Perhaps the Phase 3 clones that the kaminoans mentioned could have been the army bred to take arms against the empire, and it would have been cool to see Boba Fett with the empire since the kaminoans said they couldn’t contact him

Every time I play this mision and go to destroy the computers, some of the clones with machine guns get buged in the ground, they're shooting at me and I can't kill them.
We could still get a version of both events. Rex is currently off inspiring other clones to leave the Empire, and after hearing about the destruction of their home they may become inspired to revolt against the Empire. They will fail in one last epic battle.

To be honest the version in the Bad Batch makes way more sense. Why would you engage in a lengthy ground battle. When you can destroy the city in mere minutes with star destroyers.

I hope we see a "secret cloning facility" revealed in season 2 that recreates this battle. The change being the Bad Batch is hired to rescue some Kaminoans. A cold-blooded Boba, early in his career, reprising his role as villain and seeing the 501st as the bad guys would be insane. This could be a heavy episode.
I like to think the Empire wasn't so harsh in the beginning. If this were around A New Hope or just before, it might fit in better!

I love that the clone uprising on Kamino didn’t happen. Bad Batch just shows why it doesn’t make sense. Tipoca city is the most vulnerable city possibly, just on small stilts above water. Without a fleet defending it, it’s an easy target for an orbital bombardment. Also I like the idea that bad batch is hinting to Rex building his own force of clones who fought back of their own accord. Which would be a cooler rebellion anyway, even if it is doomed to fail
You do know that they turned off the shields of the facilitys in tbb that's why it was destroyed so easily. Also in legends they didn't wanted to destroy it, so they could still make clones for the empire and ither secret projects like starkiller clones.

People wanted the Clone Rebellion on Kamino - not exactly as it happens in Legends, but similar. The Empire in Legends/Lucas Main Canon is wasteful, but doesn't mindlessly waste and destroy entire facilities or cities the moment their vanity and ego is impaired. Destroying the city/cities of Kamino is just wasteful to the absolute extreme.
We can see it with Rampart - his real reason for destroying Kamino's cloning faculties and likely other cities if not all of them outright, is not for the sake of the Empire. It's for the sake of HIMSELF. His absolute hatred for the Kaminoans, their clones, all of it. This is his vanity and stupidity acting, and it is not for the good of the Empire- this does more harm than good.
The cloning facilities, training facilities, the planet's location, is ideal. There's only one way to Kamino that's safe, every other is incredibly dangerous if not outright impossible to use. A small fleet is enough to guard it, and decommissioning parts of cities and facilities elsewhere would provide materials for planetary defenses and shields that span the entire planet, making Kamino one of the safest planets in the galaxy - and after the Clone Wars, many people would likely forget any of it existed, as it had been lost from all public knowledge until Obi-Wan re-discovered it just before the Clone Wars begun.
When a tyrannical regime wipes out all public and most private knowledge about something, the public tend to forget all about it very very quickly.
This is just pure waste.
The clone/kamino rebellion seems like a season 2 or 3 finale type thing. Simply because we don't have the classic stormtrooper armor yet
I’d like to think that the bf2 battle on kamino did happen and was years after the city was destroyed and they rebuilt an old decommissioned city like we see in the cad bane and fennec fight. Or many since the clones would take a while to develop and I’m pretty sure they would have more than a couple thousand clones and have those clones on a secret city that was put in place to make sure if that did happen. Then if it did they would have a way for the empire to think that they have no other cloning technology left, but in secret they have a hidden lab like the underwater platform in the bad batch. I’m over thinking to much lol.

What if the empire destroyed the capital city of Tipoca City, (bad batch), but Temura city was the one with the clone rebellion, then once cleansed of the traitors, Vader took it as his own and created Starkiller clones there. Later destroyed by the rebellion.
We could still get a Clone vs Stormtrooper battle on another planet.
