10:45 that was the Saturday Morning Reruns. When I saw this episode when it Originally Aired on Cartoon Network on Friday Nights. They actually showed Ventress impelling that Clone ARC Trooper before kissing him.
I still kinda think that reflected blaster bolt was actually meant to be something blocked by Ahsoka's lightsaber, but the angle changed in the 3D viewer so it no longer matched up to look like it bounces off the lightsaber.
You are right about the armor. The same happens with stormtroopers often. We only know that 25% of the stormtroopers that fall on the ground due to a blaster bolt stand survive and that clone armor was a bit tougher, so i would think of it as at least 35% for clones. They dont die from every shot, it has to be either multiple shots, Well placed shots or stronger weapons. Thats the reason why clone weapons do out holes through it (when fox killed fives): they are stronger then droid blasters. Also, for the ARCs, they had stronger armor just like many other special units do they could tank some more shots aswell. Also, Droid tactics were often to just rush the clones with so many droids that they couldnt even Recover the wunder wich theoretically is genius but almost never worked due to their morality lf never leaving anyone behind.
4:33 I think it's a range thing, like when this clone was shot, it was from the top of a wall nearly like, a mile and a half up by a normal hand held blaster rifle, but the other dude was hit from like, 20-30 feet away
the droids in 3:42 are actually dolphin kicking which is the traditional way to kick after diving before surfacing and doing either freestyle or butterfly.
We have to make clear that the armor isn’t made to withstand almost Point blank attacks. They are able to stop shrapnel, some projectile weapons and defend the clones from becoming blind or deaf whenever an explosion happens. They are also able to disperse the Energie that ends up hitting the clones, so that a normally fatal shot may just be a 3rd degree burn plus internal bleeding. Which is why they still fall to the ground. They pass out. Also the hitting Energie would probably Still break some bones at the point they hit. But the armor only helps against blasters at long distances like in the first battle of geonosis. Hope that could help. Love your content btw. Keep it up
About someone the clones missing their shots. We can assume as it is attack on Kamino that the closely finished trained troopers might had sat to help defend Kamino. So they dont have much battle experience then like Fives, Echo, Rex and Cody. Plus the Aqua droids (Yes they are called Aqua droids) might also be made out of the same kind of "armour" that B2 "super" battle droids. The B2 droids where known to take hits before going down. Much like the commando droids can
6:00 I mean I'm willing to bet in that scene he was yelling on their helmet-to-helmet radio " ABOVE ABOVE! " - but to insert panicked screaming, the sounds of squad members dying and people requesting medical aid or reinforcements while being all " We are at 70% combat effectiveness! " - and so on would be a little too heavy for the kids / teens show that Clone Wars was - and that they also prolly didn't wanna have all that going on over the musical score that a lot of people like Star Wars for since Clone Wars emulated that music very well.
Something you forgot to mention was the 2nd clone that got hit 2 times weapon got jammed and you can see him banging his weapon ( this was right before ventress kisses the clone 😂 )
In my opinion I think the saddest story of the clone wars is the clones themselves considering the fact that they're inhibitor chips you know programming and what not for order 66, but it's all highlighted with the fall of the Domino squad. The saddest death in my opinion has got to be Five's. He was my favorite clone besides Rex.
what you said about armor and the clones being knocked unconscious is spot on. the helmet shots are often not survived though bc that plastoid is thin, accommodating for the HUD, breathing/cooling, and comms systems. there's also the matter of scatter guns and illegal caliber of blaster ammo that can penetrate standard plastoid clone/stormtrooper armor. scatter guns are just like irl guns w/ bullets so they don't disperse and ik that Han Solo's DL-44 absolutely slams stormies bc yeah he's a smuggler, he's got an illegal caliber blaster. in the Republic Commando game you face a ton of trandoshans w/ scatter guns and you can body a few only bc how upgraded CC armor is. wish we got to see more of them in action in TCW as a functioning squad instead of Gregor going solo. we could see some of that badassery in action so maybe the Gregor scene would be a good .25x speed episode.

5:06 I could be wrong because all the little clones have like 5 hairstyles between them, but I think those are the clone babies that help Rex, Cody, Fives and Echo later.
This episode was one of the best. Ventress is definitely in her prime right there. Clone 99, Arc troopers, cadets, Fives and Echo scenes. And that scene where Ventress and Grievous talk. Oh my. This is definitely prime Ventress.
the thing with the clone armor and the stormtrooper armor at 4:50 is that it does prevent the trooper from dying but most of the time it knocks them out/makes them unable to fight, cause of the blast of the blaster that hit them, thats why there are so many wounded troopers in the episodes, of the Malaverlance for exaple, they are not dead, they are just hurst so mutch, they can't imediatly keep fightig, plus why hsoudl the repuplic invest in clone armor if it doesn't prevent the clone from dying? clones are already way more expensive than droids, so it makes more sense to heal them after an injurey, then to tos them away that was the expleanation i always found the most convincing, so yes it works mutch like kevlar in rael life just the froce behinde the shot isn't just gonna bruse your rip, more like tear your lung a bit or give you serius chest/head trauma
5:36 MASSIVE PROBLEM! Stormtroopers are not clones they are civilians that apply for basic training and then become Stormtroopers. Also stormtroopers are good shots it's just in the main movies the main characters are skilled fighters and are hard to hit. Disney really made stormtroopers look trash in some of the recent shows but in andor they fixed that.
@@TheJohnStone that's what I'm saying! Also in a new hope when Luke and the rest of them are on the death star the stormtroopers don't hit a single shot but if you watch the movie all the way you know that the stormtroopers were told to let them escape so the empire can track them to the rebel base. The whole stormtroopers are bad shots thing probably started with this scene but if people would just pay attention they would see that it actually proves they are good shots because they have to miss but make it look like their trying.

Oh and the Droid in the water do have propulsion system, their feet become props and spin in the water. I think you can see it in the 4 the season of the clone wars, in the exact episode that phase 2 armour can be FIRST seen(the CT in the phase 2 is on the gang plank of an escort class ship, I don't remember the class.)
Awesome Video, but the reason you didn't see a hole in the arc trooper's helmet for example is because it's at least somewhat more work to blend in a texture rather than just animating the character out of the camera area before anyone notices.
The 'buckets' the clones used had different frequency 'pushes'. Open, group, and direct personal channels. The last was between designated and consenting troopers. The guys pointing were probably not on Open or Group...
If the Seppies had succeeded, there are several things to consider. In the short term, clone production would not take too massive a hit. Remember that the Aiwa bait like to skim over the fact that it takes 9-10 years to grow a clone. So the Republic won't immediately be desperate for troopers. The problem comes from what the Seps will be up too. In Legends, the main plot point for the first Republic Commando novel was a scientist working on an anti-clone virus. With the original DNA, the CIS could have a much easier time producing one. Back on the Republic side, the Jedi would have to pull out all the stops to get the DNA back and neutralize any bio-weapons in production. Public opinion of the Order would also take a hit. If the Jedi can't protect the world producing clones, what other worlds will be vulnerable.
9:38 I that the double tap would have definitely killed, my thoughts that the first impact dispersed the blast, but it might have weakened the armor and when the second shot went into the damaged area, armor broke and he went down and didn’t get back up
Fun fact about the water droids They are designed to have a streamline appearance, like the ideal body type of a swimmer. They have big feet and hands, too.
I know this comment is irrelevant to the video but I wanted to share something. I wouldn't be surprised if someone else has pointed it out before but while watching a certain part of Rogue One for the millionth time I heard what sounded like a familiar voice. As we know there are several Rebels 'easter eggs', and we get to hear Chopper's warbling. But there's one spot where it sounds like Hera is yelling in the background. During the "Scrambling the Rebel Fleet" bit, we see a Rebel pilot jumping into his X-wing and at that moment it sounds like Hera's voice yelling "(Unintelligible), let's go!"
The way I've always understood it, both stormtrooper and clone trooper armor are mainly meant to protect against glancing shots, not direct hits. I don't know if that's lore accurate, but that's what I think.
I think the way the blasters work is 1 shot to the head or torso would stun someone, unless they aren’t in trooper armor, 2 shots would K.O. any decent clone and 3 to the head or torso area would probably kill most people, the droids I think are manufactured to sustain similar attacks but they seem to be programmed to barely flinch under blaster fire

7:04 the laser bolt probaby struck the strap of the backpack causing it to fly off
Its so good to see Michael talk about the clone wars!
8:58 it reminds me of when you mind trick a b1 in bf2 and their heads just become helicopter blades lol
i love your content its so entertaining
That was a great video. So many cool finds. But that Ventress scene was... interesting.
Great episode, glad 99 came out of it all right!
5:51 its not raining? Thats weird.
When you were counting 10, plus the then dead clone, look on the far right and there are the legs of a 12th when you zoom back out. 5:25
Incase no one else commented.
RIP to 99, the one clone that was respected and loved by every clone and respected by jedi
Oh and the Droid in the water do have propulsion system, their feet become props and spin in the water. I think you can see it in the 4 the season of the clone wars, in the exact episode that phase 2 armour can be FIRST seen(the CT in the phase 2 is on the gang plank of an escort
class ship, I don't remember the class.)
Fun fact: that deleted scene with Ventress kissing the guy was included in the physical DVD set released the following year,
At 5:51 they also managed to clap one extra droid
The B1 and super droids are just aimBOTTING so it’s no wonder the clone troopers are losing against them XD, really cool video
Awesome Video, but the reason you didn't see a hole in the arc trooper's helmet for example is because it's at least somewhat more work to blend in a texture rather than just animating the character out of the camera area before anyone notices.
This is probably one of the best episodes in the entire show, same with the battle on Rishi Moon
The clones survived because there like that
The 'buckets' the clones used had different frequency 'pushes'. Open, group, and direct personal channels. The last was between designated and consenting troopers. The guys pointing were probably not on Open or Group...
Awesome this is my favorite stand alone episode!
10:30 what really infurates me about this scene is that ventress' lightsaber blade just disappears with no de-activation noise at all
13:47 i think its because the b1 is trying to stabilize itself when almost tripping on his comrades body just like a human
Don't know if you noticed but 99 actually mutters Hevy's name just before he dies and right after he falls over.
9:38 I that the double tap would have definitely killed, my thoughts that the first impact dispersed the blast, but it might have weakened the armor and when the second shot went into the damaged area, armor broke and he went down and didn’t get back up
Michael Jae every five minutes: I completely forgot about this part!
Fun fact about the water droids
They are designed to have a streamline appearance, like the ideal body type of a swimmer. They have big feet and hands, too.
At 11:10 when i first saw this scene as a kid in the clone wars TV show I was like wth is going on here
I know this comment is irrelevant to the video but I wanted to share something.
The guy who got hit twice is suffering the effects of shock
i remember seeing that scene in CN when it first aired and I haven't rewatched it yet since but I know that it was there so later on it was cut 10:53
11:29 That's pretty realistic, actually. Sometimes, people don't immediately drop after being hit.
I love this videos
Good job man on your videos
Happy New year everyone
