Best 23 minutes of the whole week. What a great video - was sorry when it ended. The whole video was superb. Is there a "best UA-cam video" award? You two would win it, hands down. High class entertainment and incredible information.
I wanted to let you know that none of the other Narrowboat channels compare to yours. I love watching and listening to the bits of history you add to your Vlogs. I am so happy that your decision to do this wasn't impacted negatively due to the pandemic. Your positivity and smiling faces and humorous commentary make a world of negativity a little brighter! Thank you.
What a stunningly beautiful boat the Danny is! I love steam engines in general, seeing a floating one is just brilliant. Thank you for an informative and detailed look at her, and hats off to the team who saved and restored her too.
What a beautiful tug boat. I love it’s obviously steam produced “voice.” Thank you for showing it to us. The story behind it is so very interesting. Makes me smile.
Brilliant as usual: The right blend of history, drone shots, interviews, and educational research, You made my Friday afternoon guys. Well done. John, Ontario, Canada
I tend to be a passive observer, but I'd just like to emege from the shadows for a moment to let you both know that I really look forward to your videos, and immensly enjoy each one. Thank you.
Evening Faffers. Its been a strange and hectic week. Loved the dance😉. On the boat next weekend. Excuse me if I go absent for a while. Hospital beckons. Another exercise to keep me out of a chair. Hope to be able to stay in touch. Just remember one thing please - in spite of our individual trials and tribulations, we can still bring laughter to those around us. You have both proved that. Love to you both Take care, stay safe and stay happy
Watching this on our TV right now while commenting here. Following the history of the Daniel Adamson and saying to my husband what a great job Colin does with researching and telling a story. Love your videos guys.
Well done Dan and the team, you did not just bring it back to life, it has grown into something community special that breaths, that move was part of the 3 Lions, flag worthy. Foxes Afloat, too good a piece of work to call a ''Vlog''...
Thank you so much for all the old pictures you show as you talk about the history of things. I know this takes a lot of time and research on your part but your viewers greatly appreciate it, Thanks !
To create smiles so wide that my cheeks hurt a bit (which is a great mood booster and mental health perk), pretty please use that outtake music for a good long while and always end with you two groovin' to the beat!
Hi guys from Tennessee USA. Fantastic video. Very sad to see the history of the church in you video destroyed. Fantastic to see Daniel Adamson boat restored and used. Hope you guys have a fantastic weekend. Thank you for sharing your fabulous journey with us.
That was just an outstanding historical report . The effort you put in to these vlogs is amazing. I know you get told this a lot but it is so true ! Thank you guys for doing this. I’m just so glad I found you, you take my anxious mind off into a serene world ! Thank you again x
I really enjoy the way you bring in the history of the places you visit. Love the history of Danny and particularly the Church. It looks like it also needs refurbishing.
Thanks so much for all the background information and all interesting historical facts, it obviously takes a great deal of time to gather so much information together but it makes your vlog so interesting and I always look forward to Fridays when you post a new vlog.
Great vlog, when you look at her now, it boggles the mind that they considered scrapping her. So fortunate that there are dedicated people who put in the time to save our history.
I love all the historical snippets, but especially these vlogs where you highlight the work of volunteers who are working hard to keep our industrial heritage going. Good one!
I like two things, which are present in every episode: You are a compelling story, and two you tell a compelling story. Love your history lessons. To Consecrate a church is to make it holy or sacred. Obviously to deconsecrate is to return to secular use.
Great video - What an amazing ship! A Mersey tug with a first class lounge? That steam powered ships wheel is a very complicated thing. It must have taken an army of volunteers to get that ship back in order - the before and after is incredible.
Well, I made it! Just finished watching all 157 vlogs! Taken a fair few days, but so worth it. You were a suggested channel to watch...so I dipped my toes in and am hooked! Loved every vlog, have laughed and cried along with you ( especially when the Silver Fox was launched) Mental health needs to spoken about without prejudice or fear. So glad that you are able to show your down days along with your batty moments. Keep the double entendre's and innuendos coming...so funny! Fridays at four will be my new favourite time of the day. Much love, Kathleen. Hampshire. U.K
Hi Colin & Shaun, just when I think your vlogs can't get any better you pull out another gem. You two are absolute legends, with your history lessons, facts & figures it's all sing & dancing & a laugh a minute. The highlight of my week by a country mile, love it!! 👍😁😎😍🐶⚓
What a fantastic opportunity to spend time on such a historical boat. We are so lucky to have people that cherish our history and keep it going for everyone to experience and enjoy. Brilliant vlog guys and I did love the dancing at the end. See you next week.
Your past few videos have been more like documentaries, in a good way! Production value is really high and the topic is really interesting. See you next Friday !
Why is it that some people find it easier to destroy rather than build, thank goodness there are dedicated people like Danny that is willing to fight to save and preserve our heritage ... thank you guys for another great post.
The Danny is a beautiful ship. It is so nice people take interest in remodeling an old ship and keeping her history. Thank you so much for the history lesson. Have a wonderful week.
That is a beautiful beautiful ship theirs something so beautiful about old fashioned engineering that modern engineering just can't replicate any more and it's lovely to see the old girl back and running again so much of our amazing engineering has been scrapped so it's lovely to see some being saved and still used for what it was designed for
Production standards top notch. Informative, entertaining and well shot. Very glad you are remaining focused on the canals and rivers and not falling into the trap of recording merely the everyday life of a boater..." Here's how we bake a cake etc". Colin and Shaun still number one. You produce great programmes of broadcast quality and not dross .Does Shaun ever want to be the anchor (sorry about that) man? Oh yes, all the research and your passion shows...keep on trucking...men
Thanks so much, Peter. We really do enjoy showing the sights we see in the most interesting and engaging way we can think of. I'm so glad you appreciate that. Shaun doesn't want to be the 'anchor' man 🤣 He's much more comfortable being the support guy 👍🏻
Since Keith passed away your weekly adventures and the fact that you make me laugh. You love each other so much, that shines through. Thank you, please never stop.
As we have said before Colin you are the great teacher of the canals. Hope to see you on the cut now that we have been released from Australian covid confinement.
What a stunning steam tug boat, we have one here in Adelaide called the Yelta but nowhere near as beautiful as the Daniel Adamson, great vlog again boys.
Thank you for the vlog about the Danny. Being drawn into steam ships and locomotives the Danny was great treat. That connection with White Star's Oceanic was pretty also neat. Shame the Oceanic was cancelled though, might have added another rival to Queen Mary and Normandie on the Atlantic.
I never saw this when first posted. I am glad to have the chance to not have missed this. I really like to find out the history and see sites that you would not know existed and disappear in place sight. Saving the past is so important so we don't forget where we came from and who got us hete.
An absolutely brilliant Vlog, It's so good to see some of these old ships/boats being given a new lease of life instead of disappearing from history, and plus they look so good.
absolutly great photo of danny and silver fox together the steam ship is so majestic ive travelled on danny in liverpool and so smooth and the beat of the engine is magical

The “Danny” is a beautiful piece of history. Thanks for the tour. We had a great cruise on the Norway (renamed) many years ago. She was the last steam turbine powered transoceanic cruise ship. Boiler explosion injured and killed several crew members and she was taken out of service. Let’s hope Danny has a long and safe new life!
Back in 2002, we, the family, had a narrowboat holiday from Cholmondeston on the Middlewich branch to Ellesmere Port where we stayed overnight in the museum and moored next to the 'ghostly' Danny. I feel so privelidged to have met him/her and would love to see him/her again. One day perhaps, but meanwhile I'm addicted to your fantastic videos and this one was a real gem for me.

Hi Colin & Shaun. Another fantastic vlog full of entertainment, with history, humour, & wonderful video shots. You both never fail to please us with your very interesting vlog's. Thankyou. Loved all the info about the steam tug, such great presenting, you are both naturally brilliant at it. I love steam power. That church had amazing architecture. Such a shame to see it vandalised? It's a pity that there wasn't a historical trust, that could number all of the stone block's & take it apart, & rebuild it in a different location, but near the canal? Thankyou both very much indeed, I alway's enjoy your vlog's, & I am spreading the word. Take care, & be happy alway's. Pete
What a wonderful video! I worked in that 'big chemical factory' for 30 years and enjoyed seeing it from a different perspective. I absolutely adore The Danny! I've been on board and am so pleased that it was saved! I'm looking forward to a cruise when it opens again. Your drone footage was excellent, too! Thank you.
Hey Guys, great bit of maritime history and as you said a bit of variety. Your blogs are getting better and better. Keep up the interesting and worthwhile work and stay safe. Best regards from wet and windy Melbourne.
It's not a locomotive, but it is still alive. There is something magical about steam driven machinery that brings out the child in us.. Full of wonder about the fire breathing iron monster. Lovely job again guys, thanks.

There is never an end to the innuendo! "I can take you up the ship canal, You would like that, wouldn't you?" "Fairy across the Mersey..." I love you guys!
Just got around to seeing this one - absolutely fascinating. I'm so happy that this beautiful piece of history was saved. I really appreciate how much time and effort your put into your videos - very informative! Thank you so much, as usual, for an entertaining and informative episode!
You two do make it SO difficult! Every single week I watch and then struggle to find a way to tell you just how much I enjoyed it without always repeating myself. But hey, I give up on that, so once again thank you for a fabulously informative vlog. I go through a range of emotions with all the different things I never knew about until now. It was so very sad to see how Christ Church at Weston Point has ended its days. I did read up about it after watching. A beautiful building that I cannot believe is Grade II listed, quietly falling to pieces. You put a big smile back on my face as ‘we’ returned past the chemical factory/‘Steeplechase’ ride complete with fabulous brass band music. Then, to top off a grand day out you gave us ‘The Danny’. What an inspiration! Every week I have my largely unproductive flutter on the National Lottery but my goodness was I proud to see that even my little gamble can help to rescue such a wonderful historical boat. After all that, complete with beautiful black and white photographs of our journey that must take you an age to source and select, we ended with the two of you dancing to what reminded me of Charlie’s Angels. What more can you ask for? Thank you both x
"I was a chef, not a driver" spoken like a real seafarer. Yet again you have taken us to places most people can't access; brilliant!
Thank you!
That is such a lovely old tugboat. Far too often, these wonderful, historical gems are cast aside.
They are!

Kudos to the guys who saved this ship. This is a full working technology museum, a national treasure of it's own kind
It was so funny, just as you say "they were all busy" you show half a dozen people standing on deck talking. Gave me a bit of a chuckle.
First one to pick that up 🤣
When you said you were going to take Shaun up the ship canal I nearly spit out my tea. Nasty boy!!!!!!! lol
🤣🤣🤣

What a thoroughly enjoyable vlog, thank god there was such caring and dedicated people to save the Danny x
Very true!
Fantastic vlog , heaps of info, possibly the best vloggers ever.
Aww, that's really nice of you to say, Ray!
She's beautiful! So glad she was saved and that deck just calls for a summer trip.
Doesn't it just, Dorothy xxx
Epic! Beautiful. Thank you for bringing this to us.
Our pleasure!
Hehe! Thanks for paying attention 👍🏻💜🤣
