@@ma-pf9lx I’ve had sleep paralysis since I was 7 years old. When I was a kid it started with violent animations of sorts. As I got older they became very demonic related. Watch the documentary “The nightmare” by Rodney Ascher. That pretty much sums it all completely. That documentary really answered a lot of my doubts. I used to have it happen about once a year about 20 years ago. Went on for about 6 or 7 years. Absolute terror and sheer agony! Hasn't happened in quite some time and hopefully never does again. Not being able to move but being mentally awake while having an unnatural and overwhelming sense of dread and impending mortal doom is so fucking scary. I cannot find words for that sensation but obviously, you know already.

During my highschool and college days, it happened to me almost every night. I had exactly similar experience like in this story but in my case it was a little gir, who happened to visit me multiple times and sits on my chest. Whenever I narrate my stories to my friends, I'm reminded of the giggling sound of the little girl and still gives me goosebumps to these days. I started sleeping on my sides and the occurrence has become less frequent. Moving toes + fingers and praying helps me in my case. It may well be related to genes since my dad and atleast 4 of my close male relatives also died while sleeping after experiencing sleep paralysis and my elder brother also experiences sleep paralysis.. but whenever I pray before i sleep, it never hardly happens. So for people experiencing sleep paralysis, i encourage you to pray even if you don't believe in it cos' it does helps.

If anyone suffers sleep paralysis regularly, this may help:
As a teenager I would get sleep paralysis 3-4 nights a week and started to document and study it. The general gist of what I've learned is that the hallucinations are caused by a sort of feedback loop, i.e. waking up helpeless and paralyzed brings fear, the fear causes hallucinations, they then cause more fear, which causes the hallucinations to become more vivid, and so on and so on.
To fight sleep paralysis you have to prevent or break the loop. It seems the easiest way to do that is by just succumbing to/accepting the worst possible outcome. Tell yourself that yep, something is going to kill you, and that you don't care and to just get it over with already. Even better is if you can think of ways to mock or ridicule the situation. Tell your hallucinations (by thinking to yourself) that it's silly how long they're taking to harm you, or how cliche it all is, or compliment how their shadowy silhouette really brings out their glowing red eyes.
However you do it, you'll either wake up immediately, or the fear will at least subside until you wake up.

True, this really works. The moment I feel I can't move and can't make a sound - I know that I need to just except anything that I will see, hear or feel for the next couple of seconds\minutes. And usually I either fall asleep or wake up fully very soon.

      @vladxful 3 роки тому +23

@@bugsybugs2253 My experience wasn't paranormal like the experience of the persons from this video, it was just sleeping paralysis
A few years ago, in my last year of high school, my family left to the UK and I was left alone in my home country, Romania
And tbh I think I myself attracted the sleeping paralysis experiences because I was always thinking that I don't want any of that shit to happen to me 😂
It was a night in the first two weeks I started living alone. I fell asleep with the lights on. I opened my eyes, noticed everything in the room, the fact that the bedroom door was open and that I forgot to turn off the lights. When I wanted to switch off the lights I realised I couldn't move and I said to myself "fuck, it's happening again, but this time I'm alone" and I was just waiting for something to happen, when suddenly I started hearing slow footsteps in the living room
And the way my house is built is when you enter the house there is a small hallway which has a door on the right hand side that leads to the kitchen and a door in front of you that leads to the living room. Then the hallway goes to left, you walk for like 3 steps and then there's the two doors of the two bedrooms we have in front of you. One to your left, one to your right. I was sleeping in the one on the left, which was a smaller room and was easier to warm up, hence why I was sleeping there.
So I'm hearing footsteps, noises and voices I couldn't understand and I was extremely pissed because I couldn't move.
I was trying to lift my head up and I finally managed to support my head against the wall and all of a sudden I could move again.
I thought I wasn't dreaming anymore so I just got up to see what's going on.
I'm looking down the hallway, which was really dark and see a sort of a waving white sheet / towel thing coming out of the living room, so it was on my left hand side.
And then I see the head of a woman with long dark hair covering her face coming out of the living room slowly, kind of emerging from the waving sheet. Her face was heading the ceiling.
She jumps aggressively on the floor, on all her fours, but her front part of the body so to say, meaning her face and her chest, were facing the ceiling. And she was staring at me. She was dressed in a long white dress. As soon as she jumped on the floor she started screaming and sprinting towards me.
She almost got to me, but I closed the door right in her face and she was trying to jump against the door and push me, she was scratching the door and bumping in to the door with her head I think.
I remember staying against the door and being like "WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON"
And then I finally woke up.
I was in the exact same position I had the sleeping paralysis. Everything was the same, lights turned on, opened door, dark hallway.
I was just staying in bed and I was thinking that maybe I should shut the door, but then I was like "Nah, fuck it, it was just an annoying nightmare that interrupted my sleep, so I'll head back to sleep" and that's what I did
I've had many sleeping paralysis during the past 4 years I think and now I know how to control it and haven't had any for more than half an year now. Once you know how to control yourself you couldn't care less about what is going on in the room while you can't move
That's how I feel about it at least

@@Crackpot_Astronaut Could be wrong, but I think sleep paralysis comes from or is a lot more likely to happen if you have a messed up sleep schedule or are stressed out. Thus, not sleeping for the next week would make you more likely to experience it. People worry about that a lot when trying to learn lucid dreaming. I only experienced it twice I think and my method which worked well was just closing my eyes and going back to sleep. Both incidents were at times when my sleep schedule was extra screwed up because I was stressing about classes etc. Also people complained about lucid nightmares, but that never made sense to me because how can you be scared of something you know is not real. I have had many nightmares turn from fear to peace the moment I realized it was just a dream. I always struggled to manipulate my dream world when lucid, but the monsters just wouldn’t be a threat anymore. Having a good sleep schedule should help avoid sleep paralysis and conversely improve your chances of lucid dreaming among other benefits. Keeping a diligent dream journal helps too, but I ain’t got time for that anymore so I don’t have too many lucid dreams anymore.

I had sleep paralysis once. It was after an MDMA binge and I messed up my sleep completely. There was a dark shadowy figure in the left corner of my room that approached the left corner of my bed. It towered over me. For that moment, adrenaline surged through my body, my heart was pounding, and I had a moment of panic. I managed to look across my bed and saw my vacuum cleaner hose messily coiled up across my body on top of the blankets. As soon as I saw that I knew I was experiencing sleep paralysis and my panic subsided though my heart was still pounding and I still had that adrenaline in me. The shadowy figure continued to tower over me at the foot of my bed, not really doing much of anything else and eventually it disappeared and I was able to move. No half-way measures with God. Sounds hokey, but don't knock it until you've tried it. Never tamper with Ouija boards or you could unwittingly unleash terror on Earth and not even know it. I would often be paralyzed for about 10-20 minutes and I liked to sleep in pitch black, when the paralyses left it would take me a half hour to find the damn door so I could go out of my room and turn of the light (the light switch was outside my room), I would often get so panicked I would be screaming.
This is not some mere neurological reaction to stress, these things I believe are actual demons, not ghosts, demons and the only thing that would ever lift my sleep paralysis was calling out to God/Jesus to cast them out and protect me.
That is the thing though, they were NEVER able to touch me physically, only hover around me, give me horrific dreams and damn near give me a heart attack on a nightly basis, over time I got use to their bull shit though and after a few years they stopped messing with me, now they rarely do though they still sometimes do it, maybe once every few months.

@Suzanne Nichols Yeah. I’ve only experienced sleep paralysis one time, fortunately-I don’t know how people who have it regularly are able to manage-but it was a lot like how it was described in the vid: I was unable to move except for my eyes, and there was a heavy pressure on my chest.
I didn’t see a terrifying, veiled woman, but I did see four or five tall shadows surrounding my bed. They looked like blurry silhouettes of people. They just stood over me without moving, and once the paralysis passed after a couple minutes, they were gone.
I think your brain is still in REM state while you’re awake during sleep paralysis episodes, which is why you’re unable to move (so you don’t act out your dreams), so I figured my dream was just blending with reality. However, I learned later that seeing “dark men” is relatively common during this kind of thing. Spooky stuff.

OMG these stories are so terrifying! I also can't believe that some people have to put up with sleep paralysis on a regular basis. That literally sounds like torture!
I have a hypothesis for the multiple sleep paralysis episodes though. The content of the sleep paralysis episodes seem pretty typical, so it's not surprising to me that the siblings and even the mom had similar experiences. The fact that it happened for the siblings in the same room makes sense, because it's a guest room, so they might have a poorer sleep than in their own bed and it's unfamiliar, so it might lead the mind to conjure creepy things. The second time the son thought he had sleep paralysis might be explained by him sleep walking. That could explain why his mom heard someone walking around the house and how he felt different and like he had already been awake when he woke up.

      I've had weird experiences but not quite like that. It's more than likely nothing but I had this awful nightmare once where I was in my house but my family and I weren't alone. I went to my mother's bedroom because I was scared when suddenly I saw this strange blue person in the bedroom with mom. I don't remember many of the details, but I picked up something to use as a shield. Something about the person wasn't normal and suddenly they turned around and looked at me. They had a body like a preying mantis. Filler... then something led to it attacking me. I managed to block it once with the "shield" and I tried to run away or something but I failed. It caught me and sliced me in half and that's where the nightmare ended. I did have an experience similar to sleep paralysis once but I think it was more physical. I woke up in the middle of the night and suddenly I couldn't breathe. No matter how hard I tried, my throat was shut. It was like my brain had forgotten how to breathe. I could feel my heart beating faster and faster as my throat clenched in pain to try and breathe. I ran into the bathroom and made a glass of water and gulped it down as fast as I could, then able to take a breath again. My theory is that somehow my throat had dried shut by snoring/breathing through my mouth, or in a state of delirium from waking up, my brain wasn't registering how to breathe. Either way, I hope that never happens again XD When I actually have nightmares, they tend to be excruciating ^^;

@@nathanielbass771 👍🏻👍🏻i hope it doesn't happen to you ever again🙏🏻. And i don't claim to be an expert or anything of that sort, cos it might look that way. The more we think we know, the more we realise that we don't really know sht,we only scratched the surface. I'm just some insignificant unknown guy who's been through a lot more horror for a lifetime than some people. And yes the brain/mind is a powerful thing.. sometimes it can feel like they're doing something to you physically and choking or scratching/cutting you or sth. But, we did that to ourselves mostly, cos it's either all in our head, or they(sleep paralysis demons/entities) make you think that.. (I'm sorry, i wish my English is better, idk how to describe it the way i mean to..) kinda like how you said you felt like you forot how to breathe or something like that. That's the part where i say *'they are smart'* cos they know very well that we are most vulnerable to their hunting tactics when our brain is in a fuzzy state. But for us, it's less dangerous when we've mostly slipped out of that state of mind.. BUT, It's before we do , that it's dangerous/when they can do almost anything and/or manipulate our dreams showing us our worst nightmares and what not. (How do i put this..) let's say.. Imagine there's a line where you are either inside or outside that line. And inside that line is their hunting ground, but even after you crossed that line you're not all free from it yet,,, cos it's like you're in a burning building when you're inside that line, and even after you crossed to the other side of the line, it's still like you're coming out of a burning building still carrying the smell of the smoke, or the heat of the fires. Which ofc fades eventually. But at this point is when you can throw back these countermeasures. Cos at this point, it's like their only weapon/power is a small fading telepathy fueled by your fears which they use to scare you as much as they can, but mostly through visuals or some kind of sound. For sceptics, they see their loved ones being hurt or something like that, cos they don't give out as much fear as someone who actually believe in the existence of another unseen/paranormal entities; they fear more to be in a desaster or sth rather than seeing some kind of monster or demon, so they would try to make sense of it and give out more confusion than fear. They're small time demons compared to the rest of them, but they're one of the smartest, even stronger entities copy their ways/tactics.
If they can touch you or do something to you physically,, it's either that, you're still in a dream-like state(behind/inside the line), or,, if not and it kept going, it means they aren't just some normal sleep paralysis demons anymore.
Edit: It's also worth noting that.. What we call PARALYSIS DEMONS aren't the only ones that can use these tactics (sleep paralysis) against us as briefly mentioned. But this doesn't just happen to anyone. So if it does happen, it means whatever entity is causing it is trying to tell you something. So listen and look for signs through their actions and/or something else.. cos it usually means they either want you out/gone, or they want/need your help.

I go through all kinds of strange stuff such as unusually vivid dreams or nightmres , but most of my dreams are pretty much just that, dreams. But it's common in N.America and other places from what I heard,. It may depend on the places we're at. Like how in different cultures, we have different types of myths and such. Skinwalker(NA)/Djinn(ME)/Thlahrang(Asia)/etc.. And they looked different in every country/place(s).. and (still taking it with a grain of salt) this is just my theory but,, it might be possible that we(humans) created these things through collective minds/thoughts/consciousness believing in the same thing that caused them to manifest into these Slenderman or skinwalker or what have we?¿‽.. But seriously though,i myself strongly believe these entities are just some kind of living creatures that doesn't really have actual forms or bodies,,(idk the science behind it all but) maybe they're not as simple as us 3dimentional beings in a 3dimentional plane, but unlike us,WHAT IF they're not 3D beings but higher somehow but existing or coming in and out to our 3D plane¿… Just a theory/*What If..?
You'd wanna call BS or debunk it, i get it. I like the way you think. Try if you want. You will find your explanation to the symptoms. But you'll never find the real cause of/to a *Sleep Paralysis* with a sceptical mind. They'll all just be theoretical i can bet on that.

So, despite being 11yo, my dad got me a small 22 rifle, trained me on safety thoroughly and took me out shooting with it. I was allowed to keep it in my room with ammo within reach. I never thought about misusing it and I never told my friends I had it. My dad spoke to me like an adult and told me why we both had to be armed and what a tremendous responsibility this was and that was all I needed. Since my grandpa had far gone parkinsons and couldn't move too much my grandma ran down the stairs and tried to scare him off by yelling back, but eventually went out the back door to her very near neighbors for help which happened to be my family's house. The intruder left screaming profanity when all of us went to see what was going on.
The cops found him destroying a parked car in the neighborhood later and caught him by wrestling him down and arresting him.
When I visited my grandparents some time later I asked my grandma if she felt scared after the attack. She told me calmly - Not at all. I got this baseball bat now so it's fine and pointed to it. Got one by the bed too.
I was like cool that's a problem solved.
Imagine my confusion when I grew up and learned about the gun culture in the USA and that some people are to scared to even leave their house without an assault rifle on their back.

I've experienced sleep paralysis many, many times over the years, especially when I was younger. I grew up in a very abusive and traumatic childhood/family and it seemed after a particularly violent parental explosion, I would have these sleep paralysis moments. They were so real, but it involved all the elements that were touched upon. An inability to move, to scream, or to even protect myself or escape. Something/someone was always chasing me or in my face and the fear I felt, even with just remembering, is still palpable. I don't know why or remember when these nightmares ended, but it took many years. I've come to believe that it was my brains way of dealing with so much chaos; and as a child, horror. There are so many things we still don't know about when it comes to the human body, brain and psyche, and our ability to metabolize each and every experience, good or bad. Each one, leaving an indelible mark on whom and what we are and the foundation we begin with, all of it building blocks, for who and what we ultimately become, as human beings. He definitely keeps you listening mostly because so many of us can relate, in some form or fashion, to fear and the lasting effects this fear has upon each and every one of us. Some of us never able to overcome the lasting effects, of this trauma.
