I started out with the Fitbit zip years ago and loved it - till it died! I purchased a Charge 4 but have had nothing but problems with the connectors for the band breaking off. So far it has happened 3 times! Although I liked the connect GPS feature available on the Charge 4, I got tired of the Charge 4 simply losing the signal and/or stopping the exercise activity tracking without warning. Sooooo -- I am thinking about trying the Inspire 2. It seems a bit more "basic", but after using the Charge 4, I have decided i don't need all of the bells and whistles of the Charge 4. Thanks for your thorough review. Very helpful!!!
Glad it was helpful, i'm sorry that happened to your charge 4! I agree the charge 4 is nice for people who really use all of the features, but for most people the inspire is a better bang for the buck option!
My Inspire HR died on April 1st. April Fool's Day LOL. So now I am looking for a replacement and was wondering about upgrading to get GPS. Your video was very informative. Thank you!!!! I will go now to watch your previous video comparing the HR to the 2.
Great breakdown! I was pretty set on getting a charge 4 for a while but then the inspire 2 went on sale and I decided to pull the trigger. Excited to get it.
Great review, i appreciate your comments about the design, sharp edges, battery life, also about how it is reduced with the charge 4 using GPS, most people don't think about that, ect. My wife has alta, but wants waterproof for pool, i'll get her inspire 2, is best bet for her use. Thanks again. u covered all the relative aspects, especially wearing
Thanks for watching Sandro! I use it in the pool a lot and the lap counter seems to be fairly accurate too, it is nice that I can swim now and don't have to keep track in my head. It was normally spot on or + or - 1 lap which isn't too big of a deal, I'm not a pro swimmer or anything haha
I’ve never had a Fitbit but I work in a warehouse, so lots of walking, and since I can’t have my phone on me I’d use this to track everything :) thanks for the review if I don’t win im still gonna purchase
Thank you for the great review. I have both inspire 2 & versa 2. But I prefer to wear inspire 2 most of the time. Better battery life , so convenient , relaxed while sleeping, although the screen size could be bigger in comparison to whole screen size. 👍👍👍
Considering upgrading to something a bit more compact from my Garmin Vivoactive 3 and couldn't decide between the Inspire 2 and Charge 4. This was super helpful, thanks!
I was choosing between these two and the main feature needed was sleep tracking - I also wear a nice mechanical watch daily so prefer something smaller that doesn’t look similar in size to my main watch. The main reason I considered the charge 4 was Spotify as this would come in handy, allowing me to charge my phone fat enough away to not tempt/distract me but still listen to music/podcasts while I work from home*. Ultimately I went for the inspire 2 though, due to the cheaper price, smaller size, clip option and free year of premium. *The lack of Spotify control is probably why I’m watching this video and not working like I should be…😄
Haha I feel ya on that one. Phones can be quite distracting. Love the inspire tho! On the positive side I don't highly recommend the charge 3/4 I've had too many issues with that screen. So maybe use the inspire till it dies and then upgrade to a charge 5 when they are cheaper!
thanks for the insight on these two, I wanted to upgrade from my xiaomi band 4, as I don't get enough information on my workouts as I'd like to and the step counting, along with the sleep tracking, is not accurate... I love the features that the Inspire 2 has, hopefully it will also help me maintain a better lifestyle haha! Sending love from Milan, and thanks for this opportunity!❣️🙌🏻
Thank you for so much relevant detail - clear and objective. I've got an old pedometer, looking for an upgrade with more features to help with fitness and relaxation. I liked the idea of sleep tracking and GPS, but don't need music when running outside. The draining of power by GPS use is VERY useful to know - it's Inspire 2 for me!
This was a very detailed and helpful review on the two products. I've recently been looking into the these trackers and you helped a lot. Best of luck with this channel, you are great!
This was so helpful. I have the Charge 3 currently but the screen just died. I was originally considering the Charge 4 but because of the screen issue and the charging cable not being the same, I think I'll be getting the Inspire 2.
What a great review! One thing I believe you didn’t mention (but I might have missed it) is that the Charge 4 has this “smart wake” function that wakes you up at a convenient time. The inspire 2 doesn’t have this feature and I wonder if they are still going to implement it, since I guess it is based on heart pulse. Currently I’m on Inspire 2 but I consider buying a Charge 4 for this function.
Thanks for the kind words Sylvia! You are right I didn't mention that feature, good eye! I would think that it just needs the heart rate sensor for that, but there is a possibility that it needs to use the oxygen sensor that the charge 4 has. I will reach out to fitbit to understand more!
Wonderful review! Thank you. I have already purchased an Inspire 2, but was having difficulty turning the screen on - thanks to you I realize I was trying to do it by pushing the flat button on one side - occasionally it would turn on and I now realize I must have accidentally done it properly! Thanks again!
Great to hear! Yea it is a little odd that you have to press both sides of the inspire to activate it. My guess is that they did that to have less accidental presses.
I am actually upgrading from a charge 4. The band connector was broken in the box and when I contacted fitbit they told me I was not eligible for a warranty because I bought it from an unauthorised seller, and now I have a broken watch and no money lmao. So i'd probably use it as a replacement despite wanting to get away from fitbit
Wow that sucks so much! Is it just the band part? I might have some extra bands I could send you. Would hate for you not to be able to use the device just because the band is broken :(
Great comparison video! I have been looking into both the inspire 2 and the charge 4 but I didn't know which would fit me best so your video was exactly what I needed to decide to go for the inspire 2! I currently have a no-brand budget tracker that isn't very good, it counts my steps and gives somewhat accurate sleep tracking but the heart rate tracking isn't 24/7 and the exercise types aren't ones I would use and there's no way to add or change them. Like, there's not even a way to track bicycle rides. So I'm definitely looking to upgrade and the inspire 2 seems to be the perfect option. I figured it couldn't hurt to throw my hat in the ring (or is it name in the hat?) for your giveaway. I've followed your social media profiles as well. In any case, thank you for the informative video, it really helped me!
Thanks for watching and letting me know your fitness tracking situation, I'm always genuinely curious what people are using nowadays as there are so many out there! Good luck in the giveaway!
I have never owned any tracker/smartwatch so the inspire 2 would be my first. I would use it, to motivate myself to get more fit, track and improve my sleep cycle over all just try to use it as a tool to help menage health that has been impacted by my depression and anxiety better :)
Thanks for the video. I have been debating between the two devices for the last month and this video definitely helped. I'm not on twitter so I can't join the giveaway but I still wanted leave you a comment of gratitude. Have a great day!
Thanks for the kind words Catherine, i'll throw you in the giveaway anyways! This is my first giveaway and didn't think about the fact that some people don't have twitter/insta.
The inspire can track your run but needs to be linked to your phone. The charge 4 can do it independently as it has built in GPS. I just filmed a new video comparing some newer trackers and it should be out this week
Using for my personal tracker for years. Looking for a good tracker for my high school fitness class. Would love to try one of these before buying for the class.
Thanks for the review. Let me ask you this question. If the Inspire 2 is $90 CAD and the Charge 4 is only $20 more ($110 CAD) which one would you get? I can see choosing the Inspire 2 over the Charge 4 at regular prices, but if it's only a $20 difference, is it worth getting the Charge 4 instead? Both are on sale right now in Canada with the Charge 4 having an extra discount. Thanks
That is definitely very close James, For that price I would say go for the charge 4 that is a steal and a half, granted as long as you think you would benefit from any of the additional features. Also look at my top pinned comment on the vid, another difference that i hadn't noted in the vid. Let me know what you decide to get!!
Thank you for such a thorough review of each. You answered a lot of questions I had. One question I can’t find anywhere is whether you can swap the sides of the bands on the inspire so the clasp is on the side of your wrist facing you instead of on the other side. I bought the lux and couldn’t do that so I took it back.
Hey Deanne, thanks for watching! I just tested that on my inspire 2 and yes you can switch them!! Let me know if you have any other questions. Also I just finished filming my luxe vs charge 5 comparison so that will be coming out soon, stay tuned if you are interested :)
@@VladimirKostek Thanks so much for replying! I’ve been on the fence on which one to get. I’ve had my Alta for so long so it’s time to upgrade. Looking forward to the next review!

Awesome man, i love boxing too and have used the inspire while boxing! The tracker is useable without the subscription, I use the basic version of the app as well. Good luck in the giveaway!
I wanted to buy the Charge 4. I see a video from a year ago that you returned it because you had problems. Now I see this a few months ago. I’m confused. Are there issues with the charge 4? That’s really the one I want but not if it has a lot of problems. Thanks.
Hey Melissa, i returned my charge 4, i have a video all about that. If i were you i would wait for the charge 5 which will be coming out in the next month or two. I plan on reviewing that and the luxe as well!

I just want a sleep tracker, with some text/phone notifications. That’s slim to wear. Because I actually wear my watch also when I step out the house. Want something for sleep tracking.
This would be my first fitness tracker, so I'm not upgrading from anything else. I've been wanting to get one forever but I've never really gotten around to getting one. Hi, thinking of getting one of these, but will it (inspire2) track calories burned during spin/stationary bike/stair master and assault bike sessions? Thanks
@@VladimirKostek Yes but i prefer a black-and white screen as i'm colour blind. Plus the inspire 2 is only £49 so if it drops off my wrist like my charge 4, it wont be too much to replace.

Hey Vladimir hows it going? which one would you say tracks your pace and runs better? fitbit inspire 2 or charge 4? I am a runner and i noticed the fitbit charge 4 i just got tracks my Pace and runs alot slower than what my charge 2 did and my runs are off right now. Does my fitbit charge 4 just take time to get back use to my normal pace running? ive already updated it also and charge 4 is off, my pace with charge 2 for my longruns were around 8 20-8 30 pace, but my charge 4 has me doing 9 minute paces for my long runs its way off and takes me longer to finish my runs. Does it just take awile to go back normal like charge 2?
Hmm, that is odd. Have you checked within the fitbit app that the firmware is updated? If it is updated i would reach out to fitbit customer support, they respond pretty quickly.
Hey Vladimir yup I actually called them this morning and the guy Fitbit told me since charge 4 is built in gps in it I had to turn gps on. But I normally do all my long runs with the gps off, I’ve updated app firmware also. Charge 4 when I tried use gps for some reason took forever to connect, and when I do use gps it makes my pace way slower than with it not on. But lately all my runs been way off my pace and it’s frustrating because I don’t know where my pace is at I know it’s not 9 and 9 20 paces because I was doing that 4 years ago when I first started distance running
Ah I see, I would reccomend on your next run try and use your phone with strava and the fitbit tracking then compare the 2 after to see if things are matching up. That is what I have done in some of my testing before!
Oh ok u said set up Fitbit with strata? I don’t have strava account yet but I will look into it. Should I try carry my phone while I run u think? Another thing I notice about charge 4 is when I’m Running at first my paces will be jumping all over place, 810 pace 8 15 then 8 45 then 8 30 then 8 55 the 815 all over place but my average pace be 9 stuck at 9 or around 9 and I wonder if it’s something to do with my location I just want it start tracking me back normal. Guy at Fitbit also told me it might take awhile for new charge 4 get use my running paces
@@SuperTreybo Yea give it a few weeks and see how it adapts. What i was mentioning was to run with the strava app tracking on your phone and then compare that to the fitbit data on the same run. That should tell you if it is off by a lot
I have the Inspire 2 and sometimes it doesn't properly track my heart rate while I'm working out. Do the more expensive Fitbits come with better heart rate sensors, or is it all the same?
Sorry that it isn't tracking properly, I would reach out to fitbit customer support. I believe they have the same heart rate sensors, the charge 4 and the new luxe have a blood oxygen sensor but that wouldn't effect your heart rate reading.

You are correct, as someone who has owned the charge 3 and charge 4 - both of which failed on me you can see why I would want to point people towards the inspire... at the end of the day I want people to put their money towards the better fitness product which also happens to be more affordable.

Don't have one right now. And I want it as I've been training for about 1.5 years and now I really need it. I will use it for my workout and sleep tracking. Fitbit is great but you are more cause you are giving off the thing which is meant for fitness. Hopes are high😬🤞
I am getting into fitness, after all the Covid - staying at home (gained 20 pounds, yuk!). I liked your comparison of the Fitbit Inspire 2 vs Charge 4. Do you think Fitbit will be adding GPS to the Inspire series in the future? Keep up these reviews. They help us make informed buying-decisions. Hopefully I'll win your Inspire 2 giveaway so I can begin monitoring my activities better. When I monitor them, it tends to push me forward in keeping "consistent" with my exercise program. Thank you.
Thanks for watching Paul and good luck in the giveaway! I doubt that the inspire series will see a gps feature in the next 1-2 revisions, as it is the more budget friendly option and the charge lineup just got it. As i mentioned the gps has a large power draw so I don't think the inspire would fair very well with gps, but that could change in the future as battery tech improves and gps tech does as well.

Glad it was helpful and thanks for watching, you should enter the inspire 2 giveaway if you haven't already!
@@VladimirKostek I don't have Twitter and I'm in Mexico so not sure I'd ever see the thing even if I won.
@@bettyli6635 Gotcha, well i hope the inspire HR vs inspire 2 vid is useful for you!
Great breakdown! I was pretty set on getting a charge 4 for a while but then the inspire 2 went on sale and I decided to pull the trigger. Excited to get it.
Nice man, when it's on sale it's like half the price of the charge. Absolute steal!
Hey Claudia, thanks for watching.... that's definitely a great use case for the inspire! Good luck in the giveaway :)
Thank you for the great review. I have both inspire 2 & versa 2. But I prefer to wear inspire 2 most of the time. Better battery life , so convenient , relaxed while sleeping, although the screen size could be bigger in comparison to whole screen size. 👍👍👍
Glad it was helpful! I agree with you the screen could be a bit bigger...I still wear my inspire when travelling since the battery is so good!
Considering upgrading to something a bit more compact from my Garmin Vivoactive 3 and couldn't decide between the Inspire 2 and Charge 4. This was super helpful, thanks!
Glad it helped, good luck in the giveaway Coby!
Thanks for sharing Beatrice, in bocca al lupo nel giveaway!
Thank you for this! I am looking for my first fit band and it's so hard to choose. This definitely helped!!!
Glad it was helpful, thanks for watching!
Thanks for watching Deborah, glad it was helpful! The inspire 2 is a very compelling option 😁
Amazing comparison! Thank you for the video!
Glad it was helpful, thanks for watching Diego!
This was a very detailed and helpful review on the two products. I've recently been looking into the these trackers and you helped a lot. Best of luck with this channel, you are great!
Thanks Maxx! Which one are you leaning towards?
@@VladimirKostek I think I am going to get the Inspire 2. I think that has just enough features for me for it to work to my liking.
Couldn't agree more! It goes on sale sometimes too so keep an eye out!
@@VladimirKostek I actually just got it $20 off on Amazon, so it worked out perfectly!
@@maxxberry5510 Hell yea dude! Lmk how ya like it
This was so helpful. I have the Charge 3 currently but the screen just died. I was originally considering the Charge 4 but because of the screen issue and the charging cable not being the same, I think I'll be getting the Inspire 2.
Glad it was helpful, I think you will like the inspire 2 and the battery life boost should be a welcome addition :)
@@VladimirKostek Thanks for your quick reply - you are now my go-to guy for technical information!
@@geraldinekee-chaston759 haha, anytime Geraldine!
Would hate for you not to be able to use the device just because the band is broken :(
My Alta HR just died yesterday, I would love to get back on track and use Inspire 2 to be fit again after my 4th pregnancy.
Sorry it died :( Good luck in the giveaway!
I appreciate the numerous warnings to get a screen protector - it certainly helps us from learning the hard way!
Haha better safe than sorry, I learned that the hard way too many times! Thanks for watching :)
I will use the Inspire 2 to track activity and sleep patterns to improve my health.
Nice, good luck 👍
My Charge 2 went belly up... The inspire is looking like a better option because built-in GPS is not worth the battery drain. Thanks for the video.
Totally agree, sorry your charge 2 died :( Hopefully it lasted you a while!
Got the Inspire 2. Great video!
Thanks Ty, hope you like the inspire!
That is a great use case!, it certainly has helped me stay fitter and sleep better. Good Luck in the giveaway and thanks for watching!
@@VladimirKostek Thank you ☺️.
I'm confused does the inspire 2 track your run? You mentioned the 4 has gps.
They are awesome!
Nice video. I would use it for sport and track sleeping. ✨
Thanks, and good to know!

How's the inspire 2 for reliability so far? After getting like 3 charge fitbits I'm starting to question how reliable fitbits are, and if I should just upgrade to a Garmin.
I've had 2 out of 3 of my charges break on me. Both of my inspires are still working great with no hiccups, hope that helps!
Super helpful!
Upgrading from Apple Watch series 1. I cracked the screen and don’t need all the fanciness apple had to offer

I'm working on a long term review of it but spoiler alert, I like it!
Upgrading from Fitbit Alta. Been using it for years and it can hold a charge for only a day now. Quite sad to part with it 😢
Nice that it lasted that long!
I just want a sleep tracker, with some text/phone notifications. That’s slim to wear. Because I actually wear my watch also when I step out the house.

Nice, both of these are great for that!
This would be my first fitness tracker, so I'm not upgrading from anything else. I've been wanting to get one forever but I've never really gotten around to getting one. I feel like this is the time because I'm back on track with achieving my fitness goals and I this is going to be a big motivator. My birthday is on the 24th and this is going to be my birthday present to myself, but would be amazing if I won it in the giveaway!

i just want a watch the accurately tracks my steps for a good price. how accurate is the inspire 2 for tracking steps?
It is quite good, should do just as good of a job as the Charge 4 for a fraction of the price!
I noticed a blinking light on the bottom of the Inspire 2 and the Charge 4. I used to have the Inspire 1 and it didn't have that. What is the purpose of the flashing light and is it noticeable if for example I wear it in school?

Another thing I notice about charge 4 is when I’m
Running at first my paces will be jumping all over place, 810 pace 8 15 then 8 45 then 8 30 then 8 55 the 815 all over place but my average pace be 9 stuck at 9 or around 9 and I wonder if it’s something to do with my location I just want it start tracking me back normal.

Your review is clearly slanted towards the inspire 2 and you gloss over the charge 4 improved specs and use options.
You are correct, as someone who has owned the charge 3 and charge 4 - both of which failed on me you can see why I would want to point people towards the inspire... at the end of the day I want people to put their money towards the better fitness product which also happens to be more affordable.

At this stage I would say the inspire 2, I recently released a video of the charge 4 successor the charge 5. Check out that vid as well as it is more updated!
Don't have one right now. And I want it as I've been training for about 1.5 years and now I really need it.
I will use it for my workout and sleep tracking. Fitbit is great but you are more cause you are giving off the thing which is meant for fitness.
Hopes are high😬🤞
Best of luck! and thanks for watching :)
