Best review on Fitbit Inspire 2 I've watched. It's on sale now, so I'm gonna get it. I don't care about the smartwatchy things. My main interest is to become more active, and having accuracy when tracking my activity.
Same sis I need my summer body
That's why I got it, to be more active. It becomes addictive. I'm constantly watching the steps and trying to beat the day before. It also tells you when you are in cardio or fat burning mode.
@@rosefanning5074 fuck yeah!
I agree with you 100%! I like the size of this Fitbit (such as Alta, Inspire series) and I don’t care these huge smart watch type that much. (I know they would be convenience as a watch, but for exercising and daily use, I like more compact ones better. )
Neither do I care for the smartwatchy things. All I want is a tracker that tracks my steps, active zones, active minutes, etc. A few more clock faces can't hurt, either. 😉
Was able to get it on sale for $60. I needed to replace my Aria that no longer held a charge. The nice thing was the ease of adding the Inspire 2 and not needing to download a new app. Simply an upgrade.
In my experience of owning a 3rd party smartwatch is yes they are cheaper by a lot, but when the watch gets older, app syncing becomes an issue since the developers for the apps aren't dedicated or maybe don't have the resources available to keep up with old products. So eventually those old products get discontinued. If you go with a Fitbit brand, you're also buying the piece of mind that your watch will have continued support, meaning your watch will have more longevity as new smart watch products come out.
I feel like the “drawbacks” and things it lacks are actually benefits in disguise 😜
Thank you
Was thinking the same thing!
I absolutely love that you include the accuracy of the hart rate monitor. Most others skip that part which irritates me. I'm not gonna buy something if I don't know if it's lying to me.. so thanx for that 👍
I take it with a grain of salt. Unless a chest strap is being used, not much can be said for heart rate accuracy.
@@savathunjf18 oh... Well.. that's disappointing.
My test did use a chest strap. It was the Polar H10 (commonly agreed to be the most accurate consumer HR strap on the market) as I mentioned in the video
@@MikeOBrienMedia my bad. I misheard watch strap instead of heart strap. In that case, i appreciate the attention you give to accuracy 👍.
Thanks for this review! It really helped seal the deal with my decision to get the Inspire 2. It took a little longer to set it up and get used to the features than expected, but it works great! I'm finding all of the metrics are very accurate so far. I love stats, so this is motivating me to move more and workout harder.
It encourages me to exercise too
FItbit also seems to have the most accurate sleep measurements of all the fitness trackers.
That’s why I went for this, I have severe obstructive sleep apnoea and predominately want something to track alongside my new cpap machine. At the sale price this is fine and I will never wear it as a stand alone watch, although may wear it on my right wrist as a second watch, as I’m a watch geek, but don’t want anything bigger that will look weird!
@@manuel_winde is the device worth it? like are the steps and everything else accurate to some level?
The thing that swung it for me is that it is waterproof and has swim tracking and that it instantly recognises exercises. My other (cheaper) watch was not waterproof, could not recognise exercises and only allowed you 3 exercises at a time.
@@ADC2009 actually since I wrote this I have given up using inspire. It wasn't so accurate. I'm saving up to buy an apple because many people say this is more accurate for swimming.
The Best of the Best guy for smart watches. I always consider his opinion for buying any new smart watch
Can’t wait for the comparison with the other brands! Will surely help people like me who are on the look out on which one to buy.
For me the Fitbit community and interactive app is worth the $100. I actually had a Fitbit Charge, when it shutdown after YEARS of use, I purchased a Galaxy Active, missed the Fitbit community, ended up buying a Fitbit Inspire on sale for $70. 🤷♀️
By far the best Fitbit review I've watched. Thanks Mike! Really appreciate the work you put into your content.
Lowe's has inspire 2 on clearance for $32 and you can get a floor sales rep to discount anything on clearance even more. Got mine for $12
thank you. just got my inspire 2 and found the explanations of use with the phone lacking. so glad i found you. now totally get it!
I’m getting this one to use as a backup because I realize that it’s hard for me to live without my Fitbit as I’m doing now awaiting the new 6 to arrive! If I had this one now I’d be using it as my spare!
Great video. My other tracker just stopped working last night after an update, stuck in a boot up loop. Contact support, device is out of warranty. Fitbit hooked me up with a coupon for a newer upgraded model, this video provided all the information I was looking for. Thank You!
I literally just got my 1st gen Inspire HR a few months ago and there's already a new one 🙃
Dont over charge it and also if u press the button sometimes it will flick on then off instantly
People say the new button sucks. I still use my HR
That Amazfit X is beautiful too look and feel but the software oh my God a disaster!
Also inaccurate
I was hoping you would mention how accurate the step count is. That was the only thing I was really interested in.
You mean the part where you drive 10 miles and see that the watch has added 1200 steps....
The Inspire 2 is the only FitBit that has a clip so you can wear it someplace other than your wrist. We have found that the step count is very accurate when not worn on the wrist.
@@GauravMahajanAvaron The Inspire 2 is the only FitBit that has a clip so you can wear it someplace other than your wrist. We have found that the step count is very accurate when not worn on the wrist.
@@GemofAmara do you find it to be accurate?
@@DanyaalShaozab Yes, very accurate.
This was on sale over the weekend for $60, definitely a steal
I came from versa 2 and then galaxy active and now inspire 2. I will keep the inspire 2. Dainty and powerful battery.
🤔 Really? You think inspire2 is better than the versa 2? I was thinking about exchanging my inspire 2 for the versa 2. I'm adjusting to the Black n white screen.
@@kaisofine i like the dainty style and I can change the straps that'll look good with my jewelry. It's really up to your style. The versa 2 is nice but too big for my preference
@@pamelahough3896 😊 Thanks. You definitely eased my mind.
What I like about the fit bit is it also syncs with my weight watcher app. Wasn't sure if you knew that since you did not mention it.
Really good review, and helped me work out how to use it once I bought it! Thanks Mike :)
Fitbit has Smart exercise tracking , you Just wear it , do your day , and Fitbit wil track it , and I think the mi band , has not smart exercise tracking , that’s a great plus for Fitbit .
Just got this through Best Buy, was around $70 didn’t want the Apple Watch or anything too complex. Started running on the treadmill and wanted to stop carrying my phone. This also does a great job of sleep recording, I have insomnia so it’s nice to keep track of this too, surprised to see how many options this comes with
How are you finding it so far?
@@user-ov7gl4cd3t so my only complaint is the if you miss a day to log food, there doesn’t seem to be a way to manually go and add what you’ve eaten. Same for working out, let’s say you forgot to click treadmill and you run for 45min it won’t count it as an exercise, just let’s you know your heart rate went up, won’t let you adjust time, pretty cool other than that but I stopped logging food or exercising for those reasons lol
@@TamayoAnimation thanks for replying. I think I might go for huawei mini fit 🤞
@@user-ov7gl4cd3t you’ll have to let me know how that one is!
@@TamayoAnimation I Def let you know :)
What I like best is that you match the device to target user. That meke u different, n better
Without the premium is it Still worth it
You didn’t review the accuracy aspect of the Fitbit. Does it count steps accurately? My iPhone fitness tracker almost always differs with the number of steps or amount of running I had done. Is Fitbit accurate enough? If not nothing else matters.
I watched this after I'd already purchased, but loved learninig about the features w/o sloggng through the tiny-print manual.
Ive watch your reviews on a lot of products I bought some of them and no regrets whatsoever ❤
Very informative video. Thank you. My Inspire HR just died (after only 15 months) and I'm lost without it. LOL So after watching a few videos like yours I went ahead and purchased the Inspire 2. I hope this one last longer. :)
15 months is a long time considering it is a sport watch. It would be outrages to expect any watch like that to last more than 2 years
@@harveygreene5673 what my charge 2 is 6 years old and fine lol
@Harvey Greene my Charge 2 is from 2017 and still working great. The Ionic on the other hand.....
Would you recommend the Inspire 2 or Charge 4?
I need new Fitbit since my current one is finally broke after years of use. Inspire 2 look so good! I always like compact Fitbit more than smart watch types. This one would be my new Fitbit ❣️
Excellent review my friend I actually got this one coming from the original inspire and it only cost me 60 bucks in Best Buy in 2021.
Thanks just ordered one
Can you do a video of the Fitbit sense vs the Fitbit inspire 2? Thanks
Thank you for the review. So comprehensive and helpful!
can you do the new galaxy fit 2
I've been comparing this device to Xiaomi band 6 and one of my deciding factors is the app. I prefer the Fitbit app, but the premium is kind of annoying. I also find the idea of having my personal health and fitness data being sold to be concerning. Though it seems both companies have this in common.
I see what you did at 0:53 🏊🏻♀️
What did he do?
@@jamesalston8134 He says "dive into" while fit bit screen has swimming icon swimming.... 😎🙈
Can you please do a video about the Fitbit Luxe? I'm considering the Inspire 2 and the Luxe.
Great video Mike. I needed to see what I did wrong in my video by looking at what you done right. Lots to learn. Your very in depth
Thank you so much for reviewing this!! Very helpful, about to buy one :)
hey if you have brought one does it work with having your mobile near by?
Which is more accurate the galaxy fit 2 or fitbit inspire 2? Most important for me is the accuracy of steps and heart rate
Fitbit products are the best when it comes to accuracy
Fitbit
Thank you for this review. It was helpful.
I'm fixing to get it so ill find out how it is for me
Excellent summary. Very helpful.
I have a fit bit inspire 2 mine is pink and I love it. It says I’m in average to good health
Just got this because I work in consumables with chemicals that get extremely sticky and can't really afford to not get dirty. I needed something sturdy that was affordable and small. That can get dirty and sticky. Got it for 60 bucks so hopefully that's a steal 😅
I have the inspire 2 and I like it. It's pretty simple but it does the job. It would be great if Fitbit could send an update for NFC.
Unless it had a NFC chip already no update will add it
Can the inspire 2 double as a watch? Can you set the display so it shows time by default?
@@flyinglions2223 Yes
@@flyinglions2223 thats kinda 90 percent of it lol
Thank you. It is just what I am looking for. I do find, however, that after 1 1/2 years, my fitbits die! I wish they would last longer.
Read this alot.
Could u do a video on what all the icons mean on fitbit inspire 2 ?
Good question.
It tells you at the bottom
Any video about mi watch ?dont see it in your channel
I have a bunch of videos about the Mi Band 4, 5, and 6
When u get reply but dont have the notification and back here again to rewatch the same video.and found out got reply. So far budget friendly one is fitbit inspire2 and miwatch based on quantified scientific youtube video.
I got mine on sale for 60 bucks and I'm happy with it
I love my fit bit inspire 2
The constant buzzing of the capacitive touch button got old real quick. After 2 days I was back to my regular Inspire without the heart rate monitor.
Thanks for your efforts, you are my reference in SmartWatches...
This FITBIT bracelet is expensive because already competitive products with better display are less priced
And they are??
Got one on sale for $30 :)
I looked at the little booklet that came with it it says it measures the calories burned while sitting and breathing
Great review.. Simple and well delivered.
Great info thanks
I have a Samsung smart watch that is great and I use it for text and phone calls but I was starting to scratch it while at work. Keeping track of doctor's calls while my wife was in the hospital with Covid-19 is why I started to wear it at work and even though I did put a couple of scratches on it, I still needed to use it in case my wife's doctors or nurses were calling. OK, so now that my wife is home and has been for quite a while now, I wanted to get something that would keep up with my steps taken at work and also something that if I break it or scratch it badly, I won't care be so concerned about it. This device works great, it's simple yet effective for what I use it for and it's at a good price point for what it is.
Thanks for the video Mike. Please can you also compare it to the Garmin Vivosmart 4.
I have an Apple Watch, but I missed my Fitbit community. I recently got the Fitbit inspire 2 to use on a clip. There is a mode for using it on a clip. Any feedback about this? Is it worth it to use in clip mode? I turned off the HR since I won’t need that. I got my new FITBIT inspire 2 on sale. Great deal!
I had an Apple Watch a noticed they don’t do community features as well as Fitbit does.. I ended up giving it to my GF
Nice watch kinda reminds me of a Pebble. Only thing is the bezels are humongous
I REALLY REALLY want fitbit inspire 2
That display could have been a little bit smaller.
Thanks for the review, even a year later!
No review on Inspire 2's Active Zone feature?
I see the lack of “smart watch” capabilities as a pro. I have used my Apple Watch for a few years now but I don’t need to be connected & tuned in all the time. It’s nice to not have every single call and email going to my wrist to be reachable 24/7. But I can see how I’m in the minority with that!
I agree. I have an older Fitbit and looking for a new one. I already spend too much time on my phone and have it always close to me, I don’t need phone notifications on my watch
I use this as my main watch. I have an Apple Watch 5 which I only use for running.
Very informative. Thanks!
Can you use this with only an iPad, instead of a phone?
I’m sure you can, download the app and sync it using Bluetooth!
Have one, it's AMAZING
Is it water proof?
BEST review EVER!!!
Is there always one display feature for this device?
Just got it and I’m happy wir it
7:44 am and i just yeeted my fitbit alta across the room in a fit of rage after it just stopped turning of after a 2 years of service. Needless to say I need a upgrade! Thanks for the video bro
two years seems to be their lifespan
I think this watch is very good
Is this watch water proof
The locking system in this one when swimming is really annoying to unlock.
I had to tap it many times, sometimes hard taps and then I didnt even know it was unlocked cause it didnt show. This is importent to review!!
Just happens to me, but it really isn’t necessary to lock. The limit is 50 meters.
I see no one here has received a reply from this guy. Why even bother to ask him for help?
I'm interested in the Inspire 2 because of the clip, because I want to wear my regular watch. Did you try the in clip-mode?
I think the original Inspire series has a clip too
@@noxious_nights Yes it has, but no HR (which I want to use occasionally).
The clip and clip mode work great!
Same, the clip option and good sleep tracking is enough to make this perfect for me as I will always be wearing a nice mechanical watch (as I’m a watch geek)
My Charge 3 just bit the dust... This will be my next purchase!
So if this doesn't have GPS ... what does it track for cycling and running? (without bringing my cell phone for the ride). I prefer this size and price over the charge 4 but it needs to be useful as well. Thanks!
to do this accurately you need gps. so.... get one with gps.
is fitbit inspire 2 waterproof
So I bought one, turned on the exercise feature & when I was done with the exercise couldn’t figure out how to turn it off? The instructions never said what to do to get in & out
Just press to you see finish
cool !!!
Had a Fitbit Flex 2. Fizzled out, Fitbit is sending me an Inspire 2. The Flex 2 was the narrowest tracker. What is the narrowest tracker now?
Changing bands on this thing is a nightmare! West band system I've seen on a Fitbit.
I am unable to get my HR and sleep synced (Sunk?) in with my Inspire 2. My steps are there but that's it
I wear "old school" analog watches, I have no use for a smart watch and I don't want one. I need something that tracks calories and steps, etc. This seems perfect.
This was very useful I just bought one if I had the money I would've bought versa 2 if I had more money 😢😅
I bought one in Saturday, and I have to say. So far 1000000 percent worth it
It comfy and has great features and durability. It’s also 100 percent waterproof
I am mainly interested in the swim feature. Does it do okay in saltwater? I am doing most my swimming in the ocean.
It says it’s waterproof so I’m sure it is!
My mom has an inspire HR and there’s this feature where she gets notified when hitting 10,000 and some doves fly by. I have an inspire 2 and I’ve hit the same goal and I didn’t get this notification. Is this even on the inspire 2?
Anyone else notice that for Android phones, you can no longer store Fitbit data onto an external SD card?
thanks i really liked it alot
I bought the Wyze and the step and heartrate tracking was laughably inaccurate. Returned and bought one of these instead...
how accurate are these?
@@sh7bby Pretty accurate, just not my particular Wyze. It would register reasonably accurate at the low end, but my pulse while working out was low by 25% or more.
@@sh7bby My FitBit is super accurate. Well, at least the heartrate monitor. If I do any activity with a lot of arm movement (Beat Saber in VR for example) it inflates the step count.
i stick to fitbit because their app is superior!
Love this vid. Keep watching it
