Very informative and thorough without any extra talking that feels like my time is being wasted and I have to constantly skip ahead. Exactly what I want in an exercise tool product review.
Thanks for the feedback and glad you appreciate the style!
Bravo! You really did a great job of communicating the information needed in a clear and punctual manner. I usually have a hard time finding valuable review videos. You nailed it. Great job!
Thanks and glad to help!
Wow. Incredible job on that video. Loads of information in under 7 minutes. Thank you for posting this. Helped me confirm this is the tracker I want!
Thanks and enjoy!
You did a super job explaining this. I just got mine today and you explained it so well, THANK YOU!!!!
Glad to help and enjoy!
This is the device I need to live on my right wrist while my left one can be exclusively dedicated to my automatic watches. I just can’t use a smart watch as a daily. This will allow me to have the best of both worlds. Great review as usual.
Thanks and great way to use something like this, for sure!
why cant you wear a smart watch??? (details plz.)
Exactly what I'm doing man. I just can't justify wearing a smartwatch instead of a classic analog for a daily driver. Plus the Fitbit works best on the dominant hand anyway.
@@Vendzor I can’t live without my daily driver which by the way is a diver ;-)
@@rodriguezahr Beautiful man, what kind? I'm still using a 70s reissued Timex haha.
Thank you for your time and help!
Very welcome!
Super, concise & brilliantly done!
Thanks!
Received one as a gift Today. really useful review, very helpful.
My husband got me one today so I'm really excited to use it on my new treadmill!
Thanks for making this video! Very helpful!!💕
First time using it today.....it seems really good and was helpful at the gym!
I lost my charge 5 recently and opted for this one as a replacement until I can relocate it lol. Genuinely really happy with it!! the only major difference to me was (size being one I guess) and the phone dependency. I am not running outside in my neighbourhood without my phone for safety reasons, so I dont need built in GPS or nfc payments.
Im also small so its funny that people think that wider, larger, smarter watches is the best match for fitness but nah, the thick watches always iritate me. Skinny legends are the way to go surpisingly.
Don't wanna miss those Tinder notifications 😂. Great review again, Des!
🤪
Hahaha read this comment at the same time I saw that lmfao
Really appreciate you touching on the differences between premium and non premium services. I am particularly concerned with tail costs on all products. Thank you!
Very welcome 👍
Thanks for this review! I have the Inspire 2 right now and love it, but now I want this upgrade. 😅
Thanks for the in-depth review my man, I think I’m gonna put this on my Christmas list lol!
Enjoy!
Brilliant - so helpful and covered every aspect.
Glad the information helped 👍
Great vide Des. Keep 'em coming!
Thanks and will do!
straight to the point and informative video. thanks!!
You’re welcome!
Such a great review - thank you!
You’re welcome!
Thank you for this review! Helps a lot
Glad to help. Thanks!
wish every review was this clear. great video🔝
Thanks!
Great job! So far this is the fitbit I am thinking to buy. Love the bicycle helmet lamp! BTW, we did see the tinder notification turned on!
Haha, thanks!
@@DesFit I bought the inspire 3 and totally loving it! Cheers and thanks!
Enjoy!
Thank you for video Man, I'm convinced to buy this one!
Thanks and enjoy your new watch!
Great review, I'm sold!
Enjoy and thanks!
Thank you! This was a great review
Very welcome
Thank you! Great review!
Thanks!
Hey Des, great job! Loved the review.. Watched a couple of them while searching for a perfect fitness/health tracker for myself.. I just need one quick info - Does it give detailed sleep data (deep, light, REM..) even without premium? :) Keep up the good work!
I had same question. Do you know?
@@annatubb8164 i think it does provide some info, but definetely more detailed look you get with the premium membership... p. s. in the end i opted out for an apple watch 7😂
Did you find out please?
@@SalawuIbrahim i think it gives you some basic data without the subscription, i dont think you see the sleep stages for free
@@djidji233 Thank you
Excellent presentation. Thanks.
Thanks!
Thanks for the info. A lot given in a sort amount of time. ! 👍
Lol at turning on Tinder notifications. Great video! Thanks for the review.
Haha thanks!
I use my Inspire 2 alongside my Apple Watch SE. But only wear the Inspire 2 since it's compact shape is much more comfortable for me as a side sleeper.
👍
Wonderful video thank you! I was wondering how the Bluetooth pairing for the device was? As in how well do my notifications from my phone show up on the inspire 3? I had the Charge 5 for awhile and the notifications really weren't great coming from my phone and I was wondering if the inspire 3 would be any better. Thanks!
Thanks for the overview. I am new to fitness watches. Looking for one to do the basic monitoring, daily step counters, have an alarm/set reminders for things like hydrating, and a watch face to see what time it is. don't necessarily want to be hooking it up to my computer or any external application. Do i need to hook this up or sync to a computer? Do you reccommend any other basic fitness watches? Thank you!
Good review, i just bought it today
Enjoy!
Great Review!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks!
Really informative & helpful video.
Quick question, does the inspire 3 track BPM/ heart rate without premium membership? Cheers
Yup, it tracks heart rate without a membership. Thanks!
Thanks for the concise yet rather complete review! What I would like to check though is whether the step counter actually works without direct connection to the phone? As in, if I am walking around the office or the house, often my phone is sitting on a table or desk. Will it count those steps?
Yup! All the stats are collected on the device itself and then synced later with the app on your phone
Hi, thx for the very good review.
I've a question: from an alarm setted up from phone, does the band ring/vibrate? Can I snooze/delete the alarm from the band ?
You told a great review of the fit bit inspire 3 got one coming today but dose it allow you to pat on the home screen and see your steps Hart rate
Thank you for the very useful information! Even if I decide to not get a Premium subscription, could I somehow export the data (I am specifically interested in sleep data) and save it somewhere?
Do we need premium to export the activity data? Like heartrate, steps, distance, etc. I would like to analyze them myself.
I really like your video! One question that I haven't been able to answer . . . for the three symbols stacked on each other (the symbol is the ^), what is that value measuring? In your video, I see it several times on the display with a value of 175.
Great stuff! How does this compare to the Charge 5 (if both are similarly priced) in terms of accuracy and function?
I believe the Charge 5 has standalone GPS rather than tethering to your phone.
Nice little touch there with the tinder app notifications 🤣
😁
Do you think it would be worth getting the luxe, since this one basically does the same stuff and has a better battery life? Only benefit of luxe is the premium feel and smaller size. I'm having such a hard time making a decision.
Cool lamp dude!
Thanks!
Hello! loved the review, new customer here:) well I basically bought it to track my pace and my distance when running and its been pretty accurate but Ive having problems when sharing my workout because it only shows my steps/cals/time but no pace and no distance, is it because I dont have the premium app? or if I get the premium the situation wont change? idk need help asap because Im going crazyz here hahaaha. Love your contet:)) greetings from Barcelona.
Nice video, thanks. My main prob is my eyesight - hard to see without glasses, which I tend not to wear while exercising. I'm interested in your thoughts re which fonts are largest and easiest to read between inspire 3, charge 5 and sense 2 please.
Thanks!
Very intormative, thanks you
Can you also check out the xiaomi watches such as mi band7 or s1 active as a budget smart watch?
Can you comment more on the hrv metric? what does it look like inside the app, is there a real time hrv measure too? Thank you!
Hi,
First of all, i want to thank you about this video!
I need your help.
I've been using Xiaomi Mi Bands for sleep tracking but now i wanted a more reliable one, and for what i've seen, the Fitbit Inspire 3 is a great option.
The thing is that having to pay 8.99€/month or 79.99€/year just for get reliable sleep tracking (the precise time i started to sleep, if i woke up during the night and for how long, what time i woke up in the morning and the metrics regarding light, deep and REM sleep, and a graph showing the results of one week) is too much since i don't care for the fitness features nor "200+ mindfulness sessions, etc.
I was going to buy the Mi Band 7 (even not being so reliable, it gives a pretty good idea of everything related to our sleep) but i really wanted to go with Fitbit.
Can you explain in depth what we lost with the free version regarding sleep tracking? If possible do a short video regarding this? Please!
I really need to know to decide if i return the Inspire 3 or not (can´t use it or the return won't be accepted) before the return window ends.
Thanks
Thank you 😊
You’re welcome!
Des how do you find the Fitbit app (even with premium) vs. the Oura app regarding comprehending your data, understanding readiness, general usability?
Thank you for the video, glad it’s not like a smart watch as much
Hi! Thank you for the video. I wonder if I can control music player in my phone via FitBit Inpire 3? TIA
How simple is it to swap bands? Is it a simple click or do you have to deal with screws? Thank you.
Does the band break easily? Or detaches while wearing it? Or can you get stainless steel magnetic bands for this watch?
Which smartwatch should I buy for Fitness like cycling?
How strong is the alarm vibration? Do any of the fitbits differ in strength for the vibrating alarms?
It has strong mode
Hi can I ask if the sleep tracker included in the Fitbit premium subscription or I don't need to subscribe to the premium to have access to sleep tracker even after 6 months? Thank you !
Hi, What's the graphical data starting at 5:06? Is that something I can get my Inspire 3 to upload to a desktop app?
Also, is there a desktop app for MAC I can use/sync with this device? (or is it strictly a smart phone sync'd app?)
i have mine on order....question: can you leave the step counting on 24/7? in other words, do I need to be in an exercise mode to check my activity? or can i include walking in the house, grocery store & hiking all into one? hope that makes sense
Steps are counted all the time regardless of if you’ve started a workout or not
How do you keep the Fitbit from tracking arm movements as a step if your sitting down?
Great video thanks! I got mine a week ago. When you went to sleep did you just go to bed? I have been hitting “begin sleep” and “ wake up” but it has not been tracking and I noticed people have said don’t use that feature the Fitbit will realise you are sleeping? Thanks.
Yes it's automatic
I used to use that feature in the app until I realized the tracking is indeed better by just letting it auto recognize your sleep. When I used the going to sleep / wake up thing in the app it barely ever showed me my cycle breakdown and score but haven’t had a single issue since I stopped doing that
Hi so just wondering, if you don't sign up for premium, what feautures are you missing? for me i'm just trying to have the basics>. calorie count, steps, slepe quality stats. :)
Does it count the calories burnt throughout the day or only during exercise?
You mention the Sp02 during sleep. Will it show Sp02 levels during the day? If so how do I view that? Thanks
Don't think it does I thought it was always on but it's not
Just need a "simple" heart rate monitor with alerts. No need for phone app capabilities. Will this device provide me alerts? Thanks.
For every night sleep details like awake, rem, nrem do we have to continue with the premium subscription when using Inspire 3?
Don't think you need premium for rem
Is the HRV tracking available without a premium subscription?
Having difficulty turning on auto wake it keeps saying is off during sleep
What can I do
Which one is better? Fitbit Inspire 3 vs Polar Unite?
Great review, you left out if it was splashproof or waterproof. Still searching for this answer
Me too!
On my last interaction with Fitbit they said all their devices are waterproof including this one. The waterlock mode is there so your screen doesn't become interactive while wet. Apparently when submerged this mode is engaged automatically. Hope this helps
Is the sleep tracking software free or subscription only? Thanks
is premium needed for the features like workout statistics etc. every single feature needs premium?
Do you arms have to be moving while you walk to count your steps?
Can it be used for swimmers? Is it really waterproof?
I have fitbit but no more fitbit - few options, expensive and monthly payments (premium).
Can you access a timer and stopwatch on the watch itself?
Does the heart rate feature record possible A-fib problems?
Can I use the step counter without an app?
Hello, what about the notifications if the phone is in silent mode (only vibration enabled)? Because I read that the notifications don't work in that mode... Thank you.
Yes there's a setting
Can you talk about or show us "how it charges"? Reason I ask is because I have an Inspire 1 and to charge it you connect it "magnetically" to a plug in device and I get a lot of "check your tracker - not connected" messages, it's very touchy and I have to reattach it several times before it truly starts charging. Is this one any easier? Thanks. 🙂
This is click like inspire 2
Is it waterproof?
if i stop breathing will it remind me to breath? ik my friend says hers zaps her to remind her to breathe
During swimming do I have to carry my phone as well ? 😟
Will this watch tell you your mph when walking?
What are the 2 side buttons for?
Hi Des, I use my Silver Sneakers at a great "old" center. (I'm 76.) Actually, I am lazy and love their jacuzzi. The gym doesn't allow phones in the jacuzzi room. I've been thinking of sneaking mine in since there is usually no one in there but me. I worry about an accident. Does the fitbit Inspire have some kind of way for me to notify the gym staff if I do have an accident? Or, is there a way to notify anyone anywhere if I need help?
Unfortunately I don't think any Fitbit devices at this point have SOS, fall detection, or emergency features.
Great review! Thanks. :)
Interesting to see so many companies adding SpO2 sensors to their wearables. I still question the need for such tech though. I do not see a use case for the majority of people.... at this point, it just feels like they are including it for the sake of including it.
Hey Des,
How is the heart rate accuracy for strength training/weight lifting?
Heart-rate is heart-rate. Doesn't really matter what the exercise is. If it helps, it has a dedicated "weight-lifting" workout mode dedicated to tracking that form of exercise.
Heart rate isn’t just heart rate. It *absolutely* depends on the activity due to any wrist flexión or arm movement which can throw off the sensor. Weight training and HIIT training are notoriously challenging for wrist based HR sensors due to those variables. That said, the Inspire 3 is in the OK department but not necessarily as accurate as an Apple Watch or Garmin with a gen 4 elevate HR sensor.
I like the Inspire 3 a lot, especially since I bought it on Black Friday, but the battery life is just okay at 3, maybe 3 and a half days with Always On Display at Dim brightness. I haven't worked out with it just yet either. I do not see 5-7 days ever being possible
Always on isn't needed at all. It'll turn on when you look
@@AgentOffice
Doesn't matter what's needed or not. Even Fitbit's own website advertises the Inspire 3's battery life with Always On Display at 3 days. I was mislead by this video.
@@Lucky8s so they didn't lie? Without it's 10 days. Just turn it off
@@AgentOffice
2:25
If you enable Always On Display, you'll get 5-7 days. Completely false. Mislead.
@@Lucky8s i guess yeah it should be 5 not 3. But you should refer to manufacturer not UA-cam
Do you need to be carrying your phone on runs / other workouts in order to use the gps or notifications?
Yes, it gets GPS (location, speed, and distance) and notifications from your phone
How do you change the time. Anyone?
Do you still see the heart rate history without the Fitbit premium?
Yes
Did the battery burn you? Been disappointed with Fitbit brand due to battery causing skin burn. Workout or 8 hr normal wear for work
Nope. I’ve never had a problem with Fitbit devices in that regard.
@@DesFit in need of your input and insight. Looking for small/medium sized watches for working out and everyday life. Some watches are huge, I don't want the unnecessary attention 😅
What do you get without a subscription????
Dose it gives notifications from WhatsApp and Facebook too
