Were you able to figure out the problem? My 2012 is making a similar noise. I hear it when I put the car in gear and start to take off. Usually about 3 clicks
Tevon Blagmon I had a noise similar to this one on my 2012 SSRS. I would hear a click when I came to a complete stop and when I would hit the gas to go on the passenger rear side. The chevy dealer said they had a notice on the rear axles being a problem. So they re-torqued both axles and greased all the rear sway bar bushings. So far,so good.
The Orange Goblin Thanks for the info. I will finally get the chance to take mine to the dealer next week. I have been in and out the country for work. Hopefully its as simple as yours was. If not i will be going with the solid driveshaft. Thanks again.
Kyle Schultz hey brother I think I might have the similar problem when I turn the wheel and they go over the break sometimes I hear a clunk and like if it's limping did you have that similar problem
@@Mike-xn1bh my camaro didn't really lunge, it just clunked a bunch at start, stop, cruising, kinda all the time. I replaced it with a 1 piece driveshaft and it went away so I believe it was the carrier bearing.
@@schul274 I have Pfadt solid cradle bushings and a Corvette ZR1 twin-disc clutch. Basically, I’ll accelerate and as soon as I let off and accelerate again it clunks/slaps. The driveshaft clunks when it is unloaded and especially when going slow, such as in a parking lot and tapping the throttle and letting off.The twin-disc clutch makes it more noticeable because they tend to make the car jerk more than a single disc, so it’s more difficult not to get the slap/clunk sound.
My camaro has been making this sound to !!

I switched to a 1 piece aluminum drive shaft. Fixed it. Think it was the carrier bearing

Can you send me a link to the driveshaft you got?
My fiance started to have this noise in the rear as soon as i hit 2nd gear and hit the gas what can it b
Mine ended up being driveshaft carrier bearing.
@@schul274 Would your Camaro clunk when in 1st gear lung slow? Was the problem just the middle driveshaft carrier bearing? Thanks
