The most optimal one in my opinion for pvp and the one I'm going to use goes like this. +1 crit outfit (this affects your crystal set up) 1 atk/cast speed from 4 piece boss gear Weapon: 2x BMC precision (8 all accuracy 10% to ignore Off-hand: Either Critical damage or awakened spirit crystals (150 hp 5 ap) Gloves: 1x BMC Viper (8 all accuracy 1 atk/cast speed) 1x valor (2 crit) Chest: 2x Evasion (10% special attack evasion) Helm: 2x 20 all evasion Gloves: 1x swiftness (2 movement speed) 1x BMC Hystria ( 1 movement speed 20 weight 150 stamina) This set up will bring you to 5 cast speed, 3 crit, and 3 movement speed. Lucky for us there is a food called margoria seafood that gives 2 crit, 2 movement speed, 100 hp, 50 weight, and lasts 90 mins. Bringing us to 5 crit 5 cast speed 5 movement speed. Obviously this set up is dependent on having the +1 crit outfit and 4 piece boss gear so you can see how you'll have to modify it if you don't have these things. Something I'd have to test is if I was using a build that has Damage Reduction in it whether the Special Attack Evasion or BMC Cobelinus (100 hp 2 DR) would be better. My intuition tells me the Special Attack Evasion is stronger.
Nice call on magoria to hit 5 crit. I was thinking of gemming cast speed in my costume but this way I can still use a ghillie occasionally and not lose my cast speed. One other thing, what do you think of Nouver with red coral earrings and tree spirit for accuracy. Isnt helrick overkill on top of these accessories?
2 TET red corals and a TRI tree spirit alone do not give you enough accuracy to make violation hit 100% of the time against a minimum evasion target. A helrick talisman however does give enough or almost enough accuracy for violation to hit 100% of the time against a minion evasion target. So the adjustment to accuracy should not be in the talisman area it should be where the red corals/tree spirit are. And in the video I gave my reasoning for why I still go accuracy in those slots. Those reasons being: You won't be using the accuracy from the red corals/tree spirit against a minimum evasion target but the damage you lose from going red corals/tree spirit instead of tungrad/basi is rather negligible in this situation. While if you were to hit a full evasion target with the tungrad/basi set up your damage would be in comparison to the red coral/tree spirit set up pretty horrible. A balance like basi with 2 red corals or 1 tungrad 1 red coral tree spirit could work too. Beyond that Red corals and tree spirit are a no brainer if you happen to be using a defensive talisman as you will be utilizing the accuracy against every single target you hit so going red corals and tree spirit will help you build towards those defensive builds.

Yeah the game is full of systems that don't exist in other games as well as just a ton of hidden information. Almost everything I learned in this game is from friends/twitch chat/google/youtube haha. Almost none I just learned my self in game. Glad I could help.

Idk how many new players lately ive been trying to tell to get some acc and they all think ap ap ap ... sigh What you said about dmg reduction and stacking it works like that because lets say you have 95% dmg reduction that means you take 5%. some people might see a upgrade that would give them 2.5% more DR and they think meh thats not worth it. but its not 2.5% its 50% you where only taking 5% to start if you then drop that to 2.5% thats half. not saying you can get to that point in BDO but the nature of the scaling the more you have the more each point is worth.

hey i cant seem to find a kutum so im with a nouver tri awakening blue tri and liverto tri since kzarka is out of stock but i dont have boss gear. i mainly grind for money and mainly into pve what build should i aim for

Hey Phantaram, I am new to bdo and i recently bought pri blue Jubre Talisman because i really like the amount of ap it gives. Do you think I can keep it instead of replacing it with the Helrick tailsman, and maybe get the ancient guardian seal necklace to get more accuracy? Thank you for the great guides you make they're helping me a ton.
Jubre is a great talisman. Take that to DUO and use it with a DUO green scythe, DUO Rosar/Yuria/Krea Amulet and just use that for a long time till you are ready to transition to a Helrick and/or get your scythe and amulet to TRI. Like I said I'm unsure what evasion mobs have but when you get both a Helrick and Jubre you can just test them on whatever grind spot you are at and see which helps you do more damage. I think likely if the grind spot is below your level Jubre will do more and if it's above your level Helrick will do more. I've never tested them against eachother though because I got a Kutum early on after I had used a Jubre for a long time. I now just have a Kutum and Helrick. So yeah you can just stick to Jubre for a long time until you really get a lot of your other gear settled.
Can you answer this. Why do I always here that Sorc has high base accuracy so anything beside accuracy accessories just go full ap Judre offhand and not Helricks. I'm just wondering your take on this "we have high base accuracy".
I've never seen any tests or hard information on "base accuracy" ever so you could probably just call BS on all that. Sorc does have high accuracy on quite a few skills but unfortunately they are not all important ones to have accuracy on and like I said in the video Violation has 0 and Turn-back slash 5 so unfortunately accuracy will still be a very saught after stat for sorc.

Hey! I just started the game about a week ago and I need some help. I'm already level 50 sorc but I realize I only have 287 Skill points which I know is probably bad. Is the only solution to keep grinding and fighting mobs or any other options? Thanks
Yeah skill points only come with grinding mobs. Get claws of darkness, dream of doom, dark flame, and black wave up those will be your main damage skills pre-56.
Am I correct in making this generalization? That this is kinda like a rock, paper, scissors situation. Straight AP build beats accuracy, accuracy build beats evasion, evasion build beats straight AP?
Close. Strait AP vs Strait Accuracy for some classes, like sorc, the strait accuracy is probably going to do more damage. I think it's supposed to be more like DR beats accuracy (It has lower AP than strait AP so even though you hit your AP doesn't break their DR), Accuracy beats evasion, evasion beats AP, AP beats DR. Unfortunately there isn't very many efficient ways to go only strait DR like their is for evasion. Also Full accuracy doesn't sacrifice all that much AP so even if you do encounter a DR built player you may only have about 20-30 less AP than an AP player.
Phantaram ok lol now I need your help to understand the changes to accuracy descriptions on gear. It all changed! Instead of the base item tree spirit belt saying "accuracy +1", it now says "all accuracy +6". Maybe that's just my specific total? I think I'm going the accuracy/evasion hybrid route.
Well to start you off the accuracy values aren't changing on items at all just the text. So all accuracy is made up of 4 accuracies, ranged, magic, melee, etc. So you just divide the all accuracy by 4 and you get the true accuracy value. So 6 divided by 4 is 1.5 A very reasonable assumption is that red coral earrings and tree spirit belt when they just said "accuracy" just rounded the 0.5 down. my duo red coral earrings used to say 5 accuracy now they say 22 all accuracy. That divided by 4 is 5.5 accuracy.
That's not a question I can answer safely because I dunno the evasion levels of mobs. And I'm sure the evasion level of the mob is dependent on your level vs theirs and what mobs they are etc. So it's hard to know. For me personally I was 1 shotting most mobs with violation with only 150 AP and no extra accuracy (bashims, pirates)
how about a guide for people who doesnt know much about the game and is nowhere even close to getting the gear youre showing there? i for example dont even know most of these items.. and dont even know how to get them. im a lvl 52 sorceress and have only a grunil set with bares accessories and yuria and jubre for weapons. what should i do next? what do i aim for? this game is very overwhelming for new players and i feel like theres a lack in beginners guide in general..
No doubt the game is extremely overwhelming. I wouldn't be the player to make that kind of guide and I also am no longer making BDO content. My best advice would to be get an AFK activity for making silver, an active activity for making silver, decide what gear you want and proceed to gain silver and get those items. It's as simple as that really. There are a lot of specifics in the game and almost for sure there is guides for any of those. Good luck.

For budget build i agree with most of it. Just one question. Why wouldn't you go with a pri or duo "Necklace of good deeds" and then take "Jubre"? you lose very little accuracy (since necklace gives as much as red coral earings) for a LOT more ap. I just wanted to know, I love theory crafting and you are the best non korean sorc youtuber i've seen, every other NA Sorc i see doesn't fully understand what they are trying to teach and often give misinformation on skills/gear
You lose a lot of accuracy. Helrick gives 20+ accuracy (unsure on the exact number) and necklace of good deeds gives 6. With that said its a fine set up and if you just so happen to be fighting an equally geared player it very well could do more damage. The amount of accuracy I have in that budget set up is made to make your violation be reliable against even full TRI boss geared players as far as hits go. The damage of those hits is the question at hand. I wouldn't know how to do math on it for a direct comparison because it'll be a balance for how much extra damage from AP from jubre will give against a full TRI boss geared player's DP vs how much extra damage the accuracy from helrick will give vs the full TRI boss geared player's evasion. So there is a bit of "feel" I'm putting in this but I can't be for sure. It just *feels* like when I was pvping with 150-160 AP with only kzarka and bhegs I wasn't doing any damage and the second I equipped helrick + duo red corals + duo tree spirit belt I felt like most targets I hit were taking actual damage. My AP remained around the same but my Accuracy went way up of course. I'd get a CC -> go in do violation turn-back slash and get out and instead of my target taking 10-20% of their health which felt horrid I was chunking 50-70% a lot of the time which felt respectable and meaningful.
Hmm, is the necklace of good deeds bugged? or how do you get 6? it shows +20 for me. Helrick gives 20-28 Accuracy depending on quality and on top of that an "all accuracy up" enhance, so that makes sense, thank you. i'll probably just go both necklace of good deeds and helricks, then one witch's earing and one red coral. since red corals have been pretty hard to come by recently.
All accuracy divided by 4 = accuracy So helricks has something like 80+ all accuracy. If good deeds gave as much accuracy as helricks it'd be the best necklace in the game!
If you want full damage for pvp then you should take a Helrick. If you want good PvE grind speed take a Kutum. The reason Helrick will be more damage then Nouver is because even against a minimum evasion target, if you take a nouver, your most damaging skills, violation and turn back slash, won't have 100% hit rate. In fact you will be missing about 75% of the time if you take no accuracy at all outside of kzarka and bhegs. If you do sell the Nouver and get a Helrick for pvp you'll have a lot of silver left over too.
You could do that if you like but you'll be sinking a certain amount of resources into something that you'll be replacing anyways. Unless the time spent with liverto somehow regenerates all of that currency by the time you get kzarka (it won't) then getting liverto before you go kzarka is an inefficient path to the optimal gear set up.
Accuracy monkeys aren't very different from AP monkeys or DP monkeys. There is a point at which you will have too much, and or more than you'll benefit from. You can't hit over 100% of the time, Helrick alone is more than enough at tri of you are fighting similarly geared opponents and if not, you were going to die anyway.

Azwell, Yuria, Krea, Rosar. Anything that has good AP is definitely useable.

So all accuracy is made up of 4 accuracies, ranged, magic, melee, etc. So you just divide the all accuracy by 4 and you get the true accuracy value. So 6 divided by 4 is 1.5
A very reasonable assumption is that red coral earrings and tree spirit belt when they just said "accuracy" just rounded the 0.5 down.
my duo red coral earrings used to say 5 accuracy now they say 22 all accuracy. That divided by 4 is 5.5 accuracy.

That's not a question I can answer safely because I dunno the evasion levels of mobs. And I'm sure the evasion level of the mob is dependent on your level vs theirs and what mobs they are etc. So it's hard to know.
For me personally I was 1 shotting most mobs with violation with only 150 AP and no extra accuracy (bashims, pirates)
how about a guide for people who doesnt know much about the game and is nowhere even close to getting the gear youre showing there? i for example dont even know most of these items.. and dont even know how to get them. im a lvl 52 sorceress and have only a grunil set with bares accessories and yuria and jubre for weapons. what should i do next? what do i aim for?
this game is very overwhelming for new players and i feel like theres a lack in beginners guide in general..
No doubt the game is extremely overwhelming. I wouldn't be the player to make that kind of guide and I also am no longer making BDO content. My best advice would to be get an AFK activity for making silver, an active activity for making silver, decide what gear you want and proceed to gain silver and get those items. It's as simple as that really. There are a lot of specifics in the game and almost for sure there is guides for any of those. Good luck.

it is main story quest line. pretty easy. just trade in your dim armor for 3 upgrades. That is pretty much it for 3 quests

For budget build i agree with most of it. Just one question. Why wouldn't you go with a pri or duo "Necklace of good deeds" and then take "Jubre"? you lose very little accuracy (since necklace gives as much as red coral earings) for a LOT more ap.
I just wanted to know, I love theory crafting and you are the best non korean sorc youtuber i've seen, every other NA Sorc i see doesn't fully understand what they are trying to teach and often give misinformation on skills/gear
You lose a lot of accuracy. Helrick gives 20+ accuracy (unsure on the exact number) and necklace of good deeds gives 6. With that said its a fine set up and if you just so happen to be fighting an equally geared player it very well could do more damage. The amount of accuracy I have in that budget set up is made to make your violation be reliable against even full TRI boss geared players as far as hits go. The damage of those hits is the question at hand.
I wouldn't know how to do math on it for a direct comparison because it'll be a balance for how much extra damage from AP from jubre will give against a full TRI boss geared player's DP vs how much extra damage the accuracy from helrick will give vs the full TRI boss geared player's evasion.
So there is a bit of "feel" I'm putting in this but I can't be for sure. It just *feels* like when I was pvping with 150-160 AP with only kzarka and bhegs I wasn't doing any damage and the second I equipped helrick + duo red corals + duo tree spirit belt I felt like most targets I hit were taking actual damage. My AP remained around the same but my Accuracy went way up of course. I'd get a CC -> go in do violation turn-back slash and get out and instead of my target taking 10-20% of their health which felt horrid I was chunking 50-70% a lot of the time which felt respectable and meaningful.
Hmm, is the necklace of good deeds bugged? or how do you get 6? it shows +20 for me.
Helrick gives 20-28 Accuracy depending on quality and on top of that an "all accuracy up" enhance, so that makes sense, thank you. i'll probably just go both necklace of good deeds and helricks, then one witch's earing and one red coral. since red corals have been pretty hard to come by recently.
All accuracy divided by 4 = accuracy
So helricks has something like 80+ all accuracy.
If good deeds gave as much accuracy as helricks it'd be the best necklace in the game!

If you want full damage for pvp then you should take a Helrick. If you want good PvE grind speed take a Kutum.
The reason Helrick will be more damage then Nouver is because even against a minimum evasion target, if you take a nouver, your most damaging skills, violation and turn back slash, won't have 100% hit rate. In fact you will be missing about 75% of the time if you take no accuracy at all outside of kzarka and bhegs.
If you do sell the Nouver and get a Helrick for pvp you'll have a lot of silver left over too.

You could do that if you like but you'll be sinking a certain amount of resources into something that you'll be replacing anyways. Unless the time spent with liverto somehow regenerates all of that currency by the time you get kzarka (it won't) then getting liverto before you go kzarka is an inefficient path to the optimal gear set up.

Accuracy monkeys aren't very different from AP monkeys or DP monkeys. There is a point at which you will have too much, and or more than you'll benefit from. You can't hit over 100% of the time, Helrick alone is more than enough at tri of you are fighting similarly geared opponents and if not, you were going to die anyway.
