@Roadscore the poor guys that built the phantom probably went bankrupt over that motor. Using a bushing for the piston was idiotic and I don't know if they figured out the ring problem. These sweet new motors keep coming with stupid exhaust tho.
@@dustinh4175 the "poor guys" would the china factories, I believe, wanting to squeeze out more money. it took them 3 versions to finally use a proper needle bearing. three versions. They don't bother testing all chinadolls, as well as actually balancing the cranks etc. That's why they're so cheap. That's just my speculation though.
Nice bro!! The second smaller spring for the clutch wire is so it keep pressure on the arm so your bucking bar, ball and pin that holds the arm locked in lasting a lot longer
Your builds are so well thought through. You take the time to really make your bikes bulletproof and i love to see the craft. I'm gonna have to make my own bike someday now
I use a strip of velcro on the top tube and under the gas tank so that they get tightened down together. The velcro makes it impossible for the tank to slip even if the nuts vibrate a little loose.
Want to get one of those bad boys soon lol. Quick tip with spray painting the frame, I recommend in the future to sand down the frame say use 120 grit. Gives texture for the paint to bite, but use primer first. Paint multiple light coats take your time and just finish what you miss in the next coat so you don't drip. Use a clear coat last, any sheen doesn't matter. Just to give it a nice long lasting and pretty paint job
I just got my felt faker and Avenger build put together I'm waiting on one of those engine mounted chain tensioners to show up because I keep popping chains off either. The chain is too tight or it's too loose and I did take 6 lengths out of it. I believe I'm running a 36 tooth sprocket on the back.
Cool beans brother I know you liked the power lol I have a phantom 85 version 2 none of them issues you described but I changed a lot of the parts to sthil 52mm 044ms440 big bore piston and rings and 10mm pin bearing 1085 miles so far so good be safe brother I like the avenger 85 as well
nah, it was actually weak tbh. Boring. It does have a nice pull that's all I gotta say, from dead stop ish. I'm on 36T btw. It only topped out like 6500-7000 rpm ish. (up to 36mph) (Still breaking in). I'll be doing upgrades and mods to it then it should scream
I just ordered the Zeda 85 and was wondering how bad the crank balancing is on it. I assume it is the same motor as the avenger 85. Does yours make you want to balance it? Or is it usable?
I ordered a 110 iron sleeve before I found out they suck and the company sent my a yd100 with the 12mm piston pin and refunded me 60 bucks so I got the whole kit for 60. I think an avenger top end will work with the yd bottom end so I'm gonna try it
the 110 bottomend will be perfect for hybrids. Like, larger saw cylinders, big iron minarellis/jogs, etc. That's all. The transfer ports on the case are perfect. Just that the 110 cylinder is awful from what I've read/heard.
So i ordered the avenger 85cc from go max industries i also ordered a olyin cnc head and a dio reed valve im thinking of ordering a pwk 24 and a nitrous bottle 🍼 just for the boost im a big boy 240 pounds
Very nice videos, keep it coming. What power mods woud you recommend for my 80cc engine? I have hikone 216 exhaust, pwk 21 carburetor, g2 reeds, ported cylinder ( exhaust, intake trench). I am 17 from Czech republic. If there are any good cheap cylinders, what you'd you recommend? Thanks from Central Europe😉
If you want more power and all your upgrades/mods aren't cutting it, I'd get an iron minarelli (a whole motor kit for $200 on cmb) or just swap the cylinder with an athena sport for $170 on amazon (look up athena 070100), needs to be 45mm stud spacing and the stud holes need to be drilled wide to fit 8mm studs (unless yours is 6mm)
Who ever decided to make the avenger kit 200 bucks is very smart as they will sell way more and its just a nice thing to do.
yep

Ken did a great job designing the avenger 85 cylinder. . I have one of his 395xp hybrid things crazy

Those rubber engine mount pads also work great for the fuel tank, to keep it from rotating too easily.
Yeah but it doesn't help with the stud welds cracking too easily and leaking fuel.

gotcha
they all good engines the mecanic make them work or not you can make them run great you videos show that keep up the good work
Great video bud. Keep em’ coming
Great vids mate🎉🎉
Let’s goooooo also here’s a tip use a rubber mallet on the clutch shaft and put the nut back on the shaft before tapping it out hood video

Adjust the wheel axle position as well as motor. A little loose is fine like an inch up and down of slack

@@trentbikesis it better than a minarelli?
@@RustyShakleford1 No. Minarellis are more powerful unported than stock a85

pwk24 seems too excessive. A nibbi 19 or pwk21 will do
Loved it. Teck Talk. To the point. Thanks for sharing.
hey when installing the stator/magneto, do you put the top part of it closer to the magnet? im having alot of problems with mine
@mello3799 Put 3 pieces of paper around the magnet and tighten it down to keep it centered and your good to go.

nice video bro
Sorry but I don't know where you buying your p85 from because they only run $230 lol good one though
wdym? I never bought p85 in my life. Bicycle engines sell it for $300 on sale.
Just got the LD head
👍
Great video for us experienced builders! However a bit too fast for the beginner. 😊
It only went 35mph top speed on 36t so far anyway.
Just right for a beginner! 👍
To bad you don't commit on your stuff. I could really work with you...

Why do you talk like that?

@@trentbikes You are perfectly understandable though. Very clear. It just sounds like an accent that doesn't exist.
