That was the hardest I've gone from a good mood to feeling utterly massacred within 15 seconds of finding a new UA-cam video! Just what on earth. Utterly mad. Easily Victor's best all rounded career, has absolutely nutty potential, and it is 100% always a massive boon to any party going in to literally anything to have a good WHC on the team who knows what they are doing. No disrespect to you man. I'm sure the rest of this video has all kinds of great info to help new players. But trust me anyone reading this, WHC utterly slaps and is worth mastering to the fullest. Definitely in my top 3 for most useful careers. Can be added to any party and brings basically everything you could possibly need, and even in no party, one of the most fun and versatile to true solo with as well. Brings carnage, mobility (and therefore survivability), versatility and brute force alike to any battlefield. Cheers, from Canada

This is helpful as I just got this game from the Steam Sale. From what I have tried, the Waystalker is my favorite to play with a spear and a longbow. I like the spear because the stabbing makes it a melee headshot weapon that has no problem hitting two or three enemies in one stab, and still having a very wide sweeping charge attack. The longbow is the only one with the zoom feature, and doing the zoom draw increases that headshot power that also pierces a line of enemies. However as I see a lot of new players like myself, I kinda feel like I need to spread my healing to the others in the recruit stages because I have played with many people that will sit on dwindling white health while holding a healing item.
Started writing comment while watching, but deleted it before I finished because it was full of "yes halberd is awesome on Champion, but on Legend..." and the like. Instead I'll just say that you did a great job making this guide. But for anyone playing - if you are going to make the jump from Champion to Legend difficulty - do your own research and don't take any single person's opinion as the only way to play. Below Legend everything is perfectly viable as long as you have a varied team filled with -both- armor penetration, clearing and control. Which can sometimes be achieved on a single character...
You can make anything work on any difficulty for sure - I just think halberd for example, is the optimal weapon for Kruber on Legend. Hopefully this new patch makes his other weapons just as good!
The person who watches this youtube guide to know about what each class is about is usually something starting the game, so he is still playing on Veteran. So forget about Champion or Legend, lol.
@@TurinTur Veteran? I started 2 days ago and am still playing at Recruit level :+) However, I do think it's a good idea to mention who your target audience is, so viewers know if they can expect advice for beginners, intermediates or experts. This guide didn't make that clear.
Wow. Cross referencing this video to the game in front of me, like all of the talents have changed! Excellent video though. Loved it. Good overall tips.
I'd love an updated class guide since all the talents have been changed!!! If not from Silver Mont, maybe there is another video around someone knows about?? Thanks in advance
One thing I noticed when you talked about Huntsman: the Blunderbuss absolutely can NOT destroy bosses. It is next to useless against them. Handgun and Longbow are the best Anti-Boss Weapons.
I've not played vermintide for a while, sorry! From what I recall, the new Kerillian class is super busted haha, and Victor's new class just came out today
I prefer the sword and shield for Kruber's Foot Knight. It has plenty of stamina and I can push enemies for half a bar, meaning it's trivial easy to crowd control via stagger or knockdown, which me or my allies can then easily finish off. The only issue is it isn't great at handling armored enemies, so I usually have a repeating handgun to fire a shot at each one. I use controller and my aim isn't that great, so I dont like the delay of handgun with only 1 shot per reload. As the tank I'm always going to be closer to enemies anyways, so the zoom scope isn't nearly as helpful as being able to unleash 8 shots rapidly at a monster or tough group.
The sword and shield is pretty good, these days! Back when I made this, it was a lot... worse. Shield weapons in general kinda sucked back in the day. When I play Kruber now, I like the SNS too! The Executioner sword meanwhile got a big nerf to speed
One thing about the dagger, since it's already got such a high attack speed it should mathematically be the no.1 choice to put increased attack speed on. But first I would have to find out how the game calculates attack speed. Does a faster attack mean a higher attack speed number? In that case, since it's percentage based, it should also get the highest increase. Oh and I just read a 2 year old comment that says this video was already outdated back then.
Yeah, Fatshark updated this game in very drastic ways - it's almost unrecognisable in some ways. Sometimes the updates are better, but sometimes they make very strange decisions. Either way, it's a hard game to make these sorta videos for as you'd need to make new ones every few months until the game just goes into life support mode
Yeah they made some biiiiig changes recently. The Witch Hunter is now like, my favourite class haha, they made it way better! Level 20 talents are now competitive and natural bond is kinda the optimal choice. Specifically, three NB users and one with healshare
There has been alot of changes as much in skills and numbers, but just find something you are good at and think teamwork. But must importantly, have fun my dude
because fatshark fixed cleave so you can now cleave through two enemies almost all the time youre better off running quad axes on slayer one for chaos hordes / chaos elites and one for storm vermin also shades 75% damage on backstab only scales with non ult crits so when youre using ult it basically doesnt help at all because you go from doing say 340 to 347 on a charged dd backstab so bloodfletcher is far superior especially if youre using hagsbane as for huntsman im pretty sure his 25% increased crit chance after getting a headshot only works if the next shot you do is a headshot so its pretty garbage compared to 2 ammo restore on headshot
For the Bounty Hunter (and I mean for Champ or Legend), my advice would be to use the Volley Crossbow instead of the simple one and take Double Shot. The former excels at clearing hordes (while giving you 2 ammo for each hitting crit with Blessed, meaning 6 when you use the triple shot!) and is only worse in range dropoff chance. That means you'll only have a harder time taking out very far away specials but most companions will have something against that. The triple shot kills anything other than a chaos warrior. And for chaos warriors you need double shot, especially on Legend (normal won't kill them). I used to love the falchion but ever since I've tried the axe... man, it tears a new one on elites and you can 1-2-shot chaos warriors. The falchion might be a bit faster but that only benefits on tough hordes where you should be mowing them down with the volley crossbow anyways.
The volley is good and, for the record, is my favourite weapon. I use it on Bounty Hunter all the time. That said, when I have to tryhard, regular crossbow is a beast. You do lose a little bit of close combat effectiveness, but you gain extreme range and ability to one-shot basicly any enemy you see. That's nothing to scoff at, as I'm sure you often encounter situations where you start shooting at a distant target and someone with a handgun just deletes it. Another strong point of regular crossbow is that is the reload speed, since you have BH's passive and a talent that reduces it even further. It's also pretty good against hordes since very often they will form a line you can pierce through. It's a really digustingly powerful weapon that has no weaknesses.
I haven't, unfortunately. I made this a while ago and I've not played for a good while now - I got a bit fed up with the direction the devs were taking
I play a Pyromancer and sure, a lot of things have been revamped since this video, but I cannot agree with what was said here. Sure, resetting the overcharge is cool because you can "rince and repeat" with your staff. But you seem to ignore the fact that the Pyromancer's melee becomes OP while overcharged. Crit and speed goes through the roof and if you add temporary health on killing enemies, you put the Slayer to shame. So based on my build: you NEED overcharge, and getting temporary health together with the burning head is far from "stupid", as you put it. It just makes you tanky enough for the melee slaughter following the unloading of your staff on the horde.
There is a patch coming, and it makes greatswords much better, shotguns worse. And with bounty hunter, lvl30 double-shotted is good because you have much better chances agains chaos warriors from range.
I try everything but...with Shade there's just no way to do damage like other players. At the end of the mission, more or less the other players always do double my damage.
So I always see people recommending the 1h hammer for bardin, is there a certain way to use it? 2h hammer in my experience is better for killing elites and chaos warriors, and has armor pen on basic attacks as well as great crowd control charged attacks. I dunno maybe I'm not using the 1h hammer right, I have reds of each so I'd be up to use it.
They have made the 2h better since I made this video, so they are a lot more even now, I'd say. If you're on slayer then you can take the 1h for crowd clearing and axes for elites/armour. Ironbreaker might want the 2h
@@SilverMont ok that makes sense! I've been enjoying the 2h on all 3 bardin classes at the moment but it's definitely more fun on slayer (leap plus big hammer = a lot of booped snoots). Keep up the great vids btw, love your content especially souls and Warhammer.
Back when I made this video, ranged weapons were a little more powerful than they are right now. You could use 'em with certain builds and never run out of ammo, etc.
Completely disagree with your comments on the flamethrower, forgot the name. That weapon has been a god send for multi sided horde, being able to hold an entire flank by yourself and great for softening storm vermin. edit: its also great for holding off hordes while your teammates focus on harder hitting foes
9/10 for effort, because making a 1hr long guide takes considerable dedication and work....but (you knew it was coming right?) it's too long! Few players will watch the whole thing in one go and those that do will forget most of it and will have to re-watch the relevant sections. I just started playing so these guides are helpful (Thanks!) but I just watched the section for my chosen hero. I'll watch the others if/when I try them but why not break it up into separate videos per class? Then you can spend a bit longer on each one (e.g. 15-30 mins) exploring different builds.
I was at one point thinking to make it into a few different videos, yeah. But I didn't wanna spam my subscriber feeds haha, I figured, if people find the guide useful, they can bookmark it and just watch the relevant segment. Then come back later on and watch another if they want etc
@@SilverMont Five short videos isn't spam and would bring people back to your channel more than one long one. If you're worried about spam you could release a separate new video each day/week/month. Also, if you make it as easy as possible for people to benefit from your content then they're more likely to view, like and subscribe. It's ok to expect them to save your video and return to it, but they still have to search through an hour of footage to find a particular section or piece of advice. Advertisers also want people to watch all of your videos so they can place adverts in the beginning, middle and end, so longer videos are more difficult to monetize. There's a reason why most similar videos are 15-30 mins long. I think you missed an opportunity here, which is a shame considering the effort you put in.
Ok ok hold up, You never mention the Pickaxe for Bardin, you also don't mention the Stalker Crossbow for Kerillian, you need to look at your characters again.
2HH better crowd control I think Kerillian weapons rank: Glaive, Spear, Sword & dagger (with the buff to swords it may be better than spear now), dual Sword, sword, 2HS
ummm dual daggers? The best weapon for every Keri class, if not the best melee weapon in the game. Super easy breakpoint to 1 shot SV is huge, best and easiest anti-armor charged attack to get to, attack speed makes them great hoards. Only thing you give up is stamina, which is basically irrelevant with parry trait, and push only take half a shield with DD.
Well produced vid, good speaking voice and enjoyable to watch. Beeeeyond that tho i'm trying to get back into vt and everything's gotten bloody nerfed... i think it happened in 1.3. Don't get me wrong pyro was busted sure but why the hell not just nerf the proc coeficient on the beamstaff instead of BOTH resourceful talents... and scrounger. I get Fatsharks vision but it's not one i share. Game just wants me to run swiftslaying + barrage on everything. Mindlessly wack hordes (with a bloody macro to not break my LMB) and squirell away ammo for patrols / elites. *sigh* this isn't hard... it's just boring now, no moments of power i feel like a pest control buisness instead of a poweful hero Q_Q
Yeah they made a lot of changes since I made this video. I get that they wanted the meta to be less ranged oriented but... I dunno, as you say, now swiftslaying and clicking until you get RSI is the way to go
To be fair, this was a long time ago. The meta has changed 514.6 times since I made this haha. But you could always clear highest difficulty with anything if you really wanted to.
As I'm watching, I'm finding myself very frustrated by the fact that you list the talents left to right but mouse over them right to left. Something to consider next time you voice over content.
Probably more the other way around? WoW inspired a lot of other games. I dunno if it was the first to do the white green blue purple system but I think it popularised that, for example
For people who might stumble upon this now - most of the talents and data are outdated. But general tips on the playstyle of each class is still more or less accurate.

Ok ok hold up, You never mention the Pickaxe for Bardin, you also don't mention the Stalker Crossbow for Kerillian, you need to look at your characters again.
When I made this, those weapons were not very good. It's only recently that they made the pickaxe bananas
@@SilverMont are you gonna update it to mention some of the other weapons?
Ah, probably not. They change this game so much that every time I make a video, it gets rendered obsolete in a few months lol
Err was he speaking about kruber only or?
With level 20 perks
2HH better crowd control I think
Kerillian weapons rank: Glaive, Spear, Sword & dagger (with the buff to swords it may be better than spear now), dual Sword, sword, 2HS
ummm dual daggers? The best weapon for every Keri class, if not the best melee weapon in the game. Super easy breakpoint to 1 shot SV is huge, best and easiest anti-armor charged attack to get to, attack speed makes them great hoards. Only thing you give up is stamina, which is basically irrelevant with parry trait, and push only take half a shield with DD.
i forgot the DD, I use them on shade K.
so what buffs do you look for on your DD? (I'm fairly new to the game).
Your voice is pure asmr
Your voice is so beautiful. Thanks for this video.
I dunno, as you say, now swiftslaying and clicking until you get RSI is the way to go
when he says Flame cannon is a noob trap and im over here Laughing because i take it into Cata and Carry everybody with it.
To be fair, this was a long time ago. The meta has changed 514.6 times since I made this haha. But you could always clear highest difficulty with anything if you really wanted to.
I JUST PLAYED WITH U WUDDUP
How's that possible? I've been dead for 8 years.
You come across like that toxic Bardin in your legend quickplay that rages in the first 2 minuets of the game after he goes down
As I'm watching, I'm finding myself very frustrated by the fact that you list the talents left to right but mouse over them right to left. Something to consider next time you voice over content.
I looked through a mirror and got bamboozled
too much darkness for me but do your thing there bud
The End Times are dark days.
#endtimes
So why do I watch hour long videos on a game I have no interest in?
B E C A U S E I H A V E N O L I F E . . .
Buy that game. It's great.
what
I just get instantly borred, when i see mage, range & Elf players... so boring! I want frontliners, rauw power, elfs a just way to feminine for me.
did WoW copy that talent tree format lol
Probably more the other way around? WoW inspired a lot of other games. I dunno if it was the first to do the white green blue purple system but I think it popularised that, for example
