    I can firm that this is a easy fix and it work perfect again. I will have to say I am surprised that it last 4 years. I had a very pleasant surprise when i pulled it from the bezel. The battery had burst... No damage and it made it easier to split the case of the tablet. Thanks again for this awesome video!!! Saved me over $400!!!!

    I just took my 2020 BMPRO tablet apart because it was no longer holding a charge and the battery was really swollen looking like it was about to explode. Thank you for the links on Amazon as I used one to order a new battery. I did notice the screen starting to seperate from the tablet after I removed it from the wall so I did expect the swollen battery, but I was suprised at how fat it got. I might look at getting the recieving plug that will fit the plug the battery comes with and wire that in as it looks like this will need to be replaced every couple of years.

      Good points. Apparently the internal battery is weak point. I've heard the newer ones are direct wired with no battery...probably the way to go long term.

    Thanks for this video. I just replaced my battery using your details last week and it's all happy again. (First time in over a year). I have a NP 2022 with a 'Covid" tablet with no buttons and it has not worked right from the get go.. Now Jayco is starting to accept the mess and I'm hearing of BMPro sending out new tablets under warranty and finally admitting there was an issue. Someone said it's a unit with NO battery. I think I'm in line to get one but time will tell. Thanks again, at least I'm up and running. (PS I didn't splice the wires, I melted them at the board and soldered the new wires right to the board. It worked......

    First off thank you for the video. If you are having trouble getting the battery loose because of the glue you can heat it up a little with a heat gun or hair drier. Carefully though. I learned that from my cellphone. Having worked with R/c stuff I knew I could up the milliamp hours ( Mah) on the battery to give me a little reserve cushion if it would fit. That is the only spec you can change the voltage 3.7v needs to remain the same. So I found a battery that had 3000 Mah instead of 2500. It was a hair thicker and a hair wider than the original but fit almost perfect . It pushed the speaker up a hair but that wasn't a problem at all. It fit nice and snug so it won't be moving around. I soldered mine to circuit board it was just easier for me. It went back together easy and works perfect Thanks again. Here is the link to the battery. 407090 3.7V Lipo Battery 3000mAh 407090 Rechargeable Lithium Polymer Battery Pack with JST PH2.0mm Connector for Electronic Device

    This is very helpful. I would very much like to see how I could replace the BMPro tablet entirely with an android tablet connected via Bluetooth, which could be placed anywhere. You asked if there was interest in this - I am very interested, and I think others would be also. The "holy grail" would be to sort out the actual Bluetooth communication protocol so that people could write their own app on their own chosen platform.

      ua-cam.com/video/xN6H-_tu6Vk/v-deo.htmlsi=_urgoyGIZEpgJMcv
      Basically I wanted to retain the OEM cloud functionality, which the original OEM tablet is needed for, but I wanted a more robust tablet so the 2nd connects via bluetooth and is more robust.

Did it make s difference int the tablet operation and did it solve some of the issues you were having? Yes, for me so far replacing the battery has solved my issues. Going on three weeks now. Prior I noticed it was sluggish too with the Bluetooth issues and that's what tipped me off to the battery. It's been pretty reliable for me otherwise, so I think proactively replacing the battery for most folks in the 1-2 yr mark is the more cost effective route to go.

      @@mbailey9871 I sold the RV last fall, but my understanding is the battery is the weak point of tablet. Replacing it solved all the issues I was having. Either their original supplier of batteries was faulty or short lived apparently. The new units coming out have no battery and just rely on RV house battery for power.

    • @AdventureRocks
      @AdventureRocks  24 дні тому

      Thank you for watching. For me the battery resolved the issues completely. I ended up selling the RV last fall, so I don't own it any longer, but others I have heard from that did the same replacement have also reported that it resolved their issue to date. It's my understanding that the new ~2024-25 units have a new tablet with no battery...just 12V power from RV. I think the manufacturer realized that the battery was the weak point on the units so they sourced a new model that has no battery altogether.

    There's a lot of sketchy battery vendors who shortchange you on capacity. I'd rather aim for a battery that meets the voltage requirements and then match the physical dimensions. If a batter of the same size claims to give you more amp hours all the better even if it really just matches what you need.

    Liking your videos on the Jaycommand/BMPRO. Are you using the tpms on the system? How do you have it displayed while going down the road? I am have problems having the monitoring up while driving. Cannot find the right combination of device to use with the program. It loses connection or the program crashes or cannot get the device screen to stay on. If it is working for you and see your setup might help me get this feature working like I need it. Thanks

    • @AdventureRocks
      @AdventureRocks  Рік тому

      Thank you, appreciate that! Yes on using the BMPRO TPMS. I actually have redudant TPMS as I also have the RAM OEM trailer TPMS installed inside the wheels (ua-cam.com/video/IM1H-h259QE/v-deo.html). While I'm driving I tend to use the RAM TPMS 95% of time mainly as it shows up in my center cluster so easier to watch with eyes on road, but I do occasionally monitor the BMPRO app to watch tire pressure/temps as well. I have to be connected via Bluetooth on my phone and of course have the BMPRO app open on travel days so that it stays connected while driving. I have not had issues with the Bluetooth connection dropping, but I have noticed that sometimes 1 or 2 BMPRO TMPS sensors will quit reporting momentarily or intermittently go out...I think that's more an issue with the sensors communicating with the node. Otherwise they seem to be fairly reliable. The RAM TPMS seems to be more reliable while on the road so that's why I've been using those more. I've heard some reports of BMPRO users not getting great bluetooth reception from the node with phone...so not sure if it's due to placement of node in coach or different version of node? My reception has been great. Otherwise as far as app crashing...I've not noticed that on my phone (Pixel 7 Pro), but I know sometimes there are certain versions of Android or iOS combined with specific brands where a particular app just isn't as stable for some reason.

    • @AdventureRocks
      @AdventureRocks  7 місяців тому

      Yes, I sold my Pinnacle a couple months ago back in November. But, the new battery seems to have fixed my woes. I think it was getting voltage abnormalities tricking the Android OS to go into a power saving mode and reducing resources causing the software to glitch and run slowly. So, it appears the battery may be a weak point in the tablet.

    • @AdventureRocks

    • @mavowar72
      @mavowar72 11 місяців тому +2

      What I’ve learned is that if the battery on the JAYCOMMAND tablet gets low enough, almost dead, the tablet will get stuck in the reboot loop. It’s doing that because the software reboot needs a good amount of battery to restart. And because the tablet won’t charge without being “on” and the power source doesn’t charge fast enough to get the battery past that restart screen.
      What I did with mine is connect it to a rapid charger that you use for cell phones. After about an 30 minutes to an hour the tablet showed 10% battery and finally booted to the main screen. I left it on the rapid charger until the tablet was fully charged. It now works. It acts up when disconnecting to shore power but I think the battery being fully drained hurt it. I’ll be looking at replacing the battery. But it does work.
      Our coach was left unplugged at the shop and ended up fully draining our deep cell batteries and drained all the power from anything plugged in. That’s what caused the tablet to go into the loop once we plugged it in to a 50 amp.
