Hi lovely crafty friends, don't forget to vote music or no music in the video's😱 you can find the poll in the community tab at the top⬆ thanks for your help😍
I usually make a card, add a sentiment and call it done. You add embellishments to go the extra and wow step. Thank you for showing me the much more interesting and beautiful result by taking the extra step.
Love the card ideas. Especially liked how you only remove part of your tape paper until your piece is in place. Wow, I have been frustrated in the past with difficulty in getting a piece straight after removing all the tape paper first before attaching the piece. This will be something I definitely share with others!
Thank you very much! I have some of the colours and tools so will start crafting as soon as I am well. I started card making 30 years ago when I saw for the first time I saw small craft shops in Holland and bought the odd stamp each year after when I visited my friends in Castricum. I caught the bug and have boxes of stamps, etc. So I appreciate your encouraging us with doable and pleasant ideas. LONDON
Thank you so much Gerry, I really really enjoyed watching you create these stunning and gorgeous cards today, I’m favourite is the shaker cards it looks like flowers in the centre. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags
Really cool, Gerry! I love how you adhere your layers with just some tape sticking out! No more alignment woes! I also love using up scraps in your shaker windows. We don't hAve to buy lots of sequins and jewels - use what you have. Cardstock only challenge is a great idea! Thank you!!!
Hi Gerry, WOW you have out done yourself this time, they are all so beautiful, it is a great way to stretch your back ground dies and making them layered like you have done, TFS, Cheers Anna.
Wow, what a wonderful way to go from “trash to treasures”. I always save my edges for future cards but they work so well the way you used them. Thanks for the inspiration!
Enjoyed them again.. I didnt know where you were going when tearing up the card. Lol love how you used all the tiny bits from the cards to put in shaker. And clever, wouldn't of thought of cutting the thin circle and using it on the card that way. Have to get making cards so I don't forget how or what to do . Lol I've been saving videos so I can recall. Phone getting full..thanks again. Don't know how anyone can not like your viedo/ ideas.. they are GREAT !!
that's me tearing the day away😉make yourself a technique mini album, with your favs in it and make a playlist with your fav video's so you don't have to save them💕not everything is for everyone, thanks💖
Gerry, soooooo creative and inspiring. Love all the backgrounds and thought of many variations I could also try. Love and appreciate your tutorials every time.
I didn't mind the music because I actually couldn't hear it most of the time! I didn't notice it until the end, but I liked the softness of it. Your presentations were lovely and unique. I'd just gotten some gold flakes but wasn't sure how to use them so hearing the different burnishing techniques for different looks was very helpful. The shaker cards just got better and better. Thanks so much for sharing.
I have that die, or one REALLY similar bt Spellbinders. I got it last week, ans never would have thought of using it in these ways. I used it for the furst time today to due cut gel prints. Your cards are awesome
My first time on your channel. And so very happy I found it. This video was so much FUN and all of the cards are so pretty. I really appreciate all the ideas for the background dies. thank you, I have discovered recently that offsetting rectangles is my thing. nice to have discovered something in the first 6 months of card making huh?
Gerry you've done it again🥰❣ All of your creativity is so inspiring, I Love, Love, Love every single one of them😊❤❣ That is the only way that I add a layer or Cardstock on top of the other one is by just peeling off a little bit off each corner, isn't that so easy🥰 🤪🤭😊🥰❤❣You know what they say Great minds think alike. Now I wish I would start thinking as creative as you 😊❣❣❣❣ Thank You again Gerry so much. I Love all the your tutorials that I've seen so far.
thanks sweetie💖absolutely great minds do think alike😘creativity does tend to rub off a bit, seeing ideas, will spark more ideas, you'll see💕you're welcome💖
Carol Lee it depends on what you like to do, do you want to use them for stamping or do you like mixed media style cardmaking? There are different options to consider. Let me know so I can help💕
Carol Lee in that case dye inks are the best choice, I love Tsukineko Versafine and Versafine Clair for that, they are also great for stamping detailed images. Another ink you could try is Ranger Archival ink. Both inks are available in many colours. Another ink I have but not tested thoroughly is Catherine Pooler ink another dye ink but with a partly soft ink pad instead of firm, I have heard many hood things about it. If you need a link for any of them, just let me know. Hope this helps💖
Love the layering from one die - amazing. Love the use of dies/cardstock w/ minimal stamping and the gilding flakes - so awesome. TFS!! You've got another fan. Liked watching the tutorial. So inspiring
