One of the best vellum instructional videos I have seen. Great help thanks 😀
Thank you so very much! 💜
Loved your tip of using a sheet of card stock behind the vellum when embossing, thank you.
You are so welcome! 😊
Awesome technique video. My fav is the alcohol inks with the foil. Thank you for sharing your techniques.
Thank you! 😊
Just been given a lot of card making supplies and found coloured velum in the stash. Never seen it before . Love Your ideas
Colored vellum is a luxury! Have fun using it, but also remember you can color up whatever color you want!
I didn't think of it before I watched your video, but since vellum is plastic rather than natural fibers, I wasn't all that surprised that vellum works great with alcohol inks.
That is not saying I wasn't stunned by the results!!!
I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Thank you for watching. 😊
❤🎉 GORGEOUS Backgrounds Wendy 🎉❤ TFS I adored them all & gonna go play now!! LOL Hugs my crafty and creative Friend 💕 XOXOXO 💕
Thanks so much 😊. Glad you enjoyed the video
Neat. Enjoyed seeing these. I tend to forget how to use everything.
Glad it was helpful!🩷
Great video. I love the different techniques and ideas. Must try. TY
You are so welcome! Have fun! 🩷
Thank you for your tips! Great work!
Glad it was helpful! 😊
Love all the ways to color the vellum. The Birthday Wishes card was so pretty. I don't have any Distress ink but I do have some mica sprays. Might have to experiment.
Any dye ink will work. Watch the amount of liquid you use on vellum. It tends to curl up. Maybe splatter the mica sprays and work in with a blender?? Let me know!
My first time here. It was fun to watch however you were not centered in the frame. Your cards are lovely! Thank you for sharing!❤
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it. 😊
One tip for the gilding wax, in order to bring out the metal "shine", you need to add heat. Obviously with the vellum you can't add a ton of heat as you said but a little should completely change the way that wax looks on the vellum.
This was fun!
Oooh thanks! I knew that, and forgot!! I’ve got a few random piece left, so I’m going to give a try. 😊. It’s been a while since I’ve played with Foundry wax. 🤦🏻♀️
a very enjoyable video, thank you.
Thank you!
Great ideas. Thank you for sharing. 😊
You are so welcome! 😊
Omg your cards are Amazing I’m and going to have try this with my inks truly Amazing 💜💜💐
Thanks so much 😊
I really like all ur ideas! But with the foundry wax u can heat set it to make it shiny! Thanks soooooo much for sharing this!! Have an Excellent day
Yes, thank you! When I taped it I completely forgot about heat setting it. 🤦🏻♀️. I’m so glad you liked it! 🩷

Fabulous ideas! Hard to pick a favorite, but the second alcohol ink panel might just be it..! The foil adds a really nice touch. 🧑🏼🎨😀

So pretty! Fun techniques!! But Did you use double sided adhesive on the embossed panel??
Yes 😊
Some great experimentation here. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!❤️
So many fun techniques to try! Love your creativity!!!
Thanks so much!🩷
I love alcohol inks. I get them out often for backgrounds.
I forgot how much fun they are!
Wonderful as always! Thank you!!!
Thank you! 💕
What great ideas! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you! 😊
Great ideas! I have some other waxes and going to try that on vellum. Did you now you can also use alcohol markers and isopropal alcohol to colour vellum?
Yes! I do but honestly didn’t think about it for this video. Thank you!
Did you have to heat the foundry wax as you normally would? I looked them all, nice work❤
I totally forgot about heated it, until someone else reminded me 🤦🏻♀️. So no, I did not heat in this case, but I’m sure you could. Heating vellum can be tricky though. 😊
They do sell color vellum so if you find a color that works for your design then you won’t need to ink.
So true! 😊
Gorgeous ! Well I pulled out my new re-inkers and they are dried up. Everything settled to the bottom, and shaking doesn’t help. Any ideas ? Thanks
Thank you! What type of reinkers? Oxides? If so it is not dried up. Pigment settles and I just turn the bottle a different way to encourage the pigment to move. Then shake, shake, shake.
@@villagecardandcrafts thanks, not oxides, just VersaMark, etc. (someone suggested the microwave for 5 seconds ) thoughts?
@ThinkJesus1st I don’t know about the microwave. I’m doing some googling but I’m confused. Maybe you are talking Versafine Claire or Versafine? Versamark is only clear.
@ThinkJesus1st I’m confused. Versamark is clear. Are you talking Versafine and Versafine Claire?
I don’t have any alcohol inks, would Brusho still have the same effect?
I believe Brusho is water based and a powder, correct? If so, then it won’t have the same effect; but it would be fun to try! If you make something with them on vellum, stop by my Facebook group and show us! 😊
I wish I had a hamster…or a wheel!
