VSG TO MGB 2018( medical tourism) hey do u mind sharing how everything is going so far and where u had it done? I’m thinking of doing it in Mexico also.
hair loss usually starts at roughly month 3. It's not always because of a vitamin deficiency. It's generally your body's response to the shock of the operation and the following very low calorie intake. Your body is focused on healing and neglects non vital things like nails and hair.
Hey Joanne, thanks for the comment :) I don't think shock-loss after gastric surgery is at all likely, I've only ever read about it as a (rare) side effect of hair transplants. And while temporary loss due to malnutrition is common, in most cases it's easy to mitigate. I've had several hair transplant procedures, so it's something I did a lot of research into; shock-loss is very rare and most surgeons say it's something they have never encountered.
Cutting the Caboose I had a mgb on 31st May 16. My vitamin levels have been good and regularly checked with my hospital. I still started losing hair at pretty much bang on month 3. It's not exactly shock loss I was explaining, that can happen extremely quickly in cases like you said. It's the hair that is in the building stages of growth at the time of surgery that you actually lose. With the limited calories your body goes into a survival mode of sorts. So when that hair gets to the growth stage in its cycle, as it was unable to "build" as it should it falls out. My hair loss lasted 3 months and although no-one else really noticed it, it was still tough to go through x
Where in Wales are you from? Watching your video for first time, im thinking about mini bypass? Where did you have your procedure don? Do you have any regrets, do you have acid refulx now?. Great video xx
A couple of weeks after having a Mini Gastric Bypass and all is going well. As I write this I'm down over 260lbs and still losing :) xox
Are you still happy with the MBP hun? I know you haven't posted in a while so I'm just wondering if long term it was still a good option for you?
